"Parks Coffee, a DFW-based coffee purveyor, has opened its first cafe in Carrollton. The cafe is housed inside the company’s giant new 50,000 square-foot facility at 1401 MacArthur Drive, and baristas will be able to create their own roasts in the coffee shop’s lab. Coffee nerds can set up tours of the facility, which include coffee tastings and pairings. Parks Coffee’s cafe is now open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily." - Amy McCarthy

Love this place! There is not a bad pastry in the house. The Americano is the best. Doesn’t even need any cream since the coffee is so smooth and quality on its own. There is an ample parking lot here and it’s easy to get to off the highway. Lots of seating and a very friendly environment. Make the stop if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Google
Great coffee spot for some freshly roasted goodness. It was a lot of space for you to sit and enjoy, it does get busy! The staff could have been a little friendlier and helpful 🤷🏽‍♂️ Picked up a few bags to try at home!

Alexander

Google
It’s a cool idea. A bit commercialized for me. If you’re a tourist this is the spot for you ! If you’re more of a coffee quiet connoisseur might not be the spot for you. Lots of traffic and coffee is alright. Tasted a bit off for my taste. Cinnamon roll tasted microwaved. This place just wasn’t for me and you’d know Alex the macchiato guys taste by now.

Google
The coffee here is actually pretty good if you are looking to grab a cup to get your day started. The atmosphere and decor definitely checks the boxes of a coffee shop and also the bags of coffee you can purchase allows for you to take home those same distinct tastes this location offers. I have my top tier list of coffee spots and yet I still find time to frequent this location. The iced caramel macchiato is pretty good, but the caramel frappuccino is worth the visit.

Google
Beautiful coffee experience from start to finish. Truly my favorite shop in the area, and I just keep coming back! Workers are always friendly, coffee is delicious and high quality, and the prices simply cannot be beat! I buy almost all my beans here for home coffee and frequently enjoy the BOGO rewards sales on beans. I sincerely appreciate that they offer their coffee in mugs and real water glasses! I have only been in once or twice when I couldn't get the coffee in a mug, due to a dishwasher outage. This location does offer ample parking and also has a bike rack. They also have a Roastery tour that I have not yet completed, but seems interesting and reasonably priced. ☕

Google
Excellent Latte. Very nice sitting arrangements, open and quite spacious including a meeting area with overhead projector. We'll thought out. Good place for hangout or usual coffee grab and go. Worth stopping by, since we stop by on our trip to Austin.

Google
My absolute favorite place to have coffee! Also another great place to do some work. The space in this place is phenomenal. If you have time to book a coffee tour that’s also a great experience. There’s an amazing space upstairs if you wanna host a party as well!

Google
Thank you Paul for providing our office(J Alexander Law Firm) with fresh coffee and donuts. All of our coffee drinkers loved each flavor! I would recommend this to all other offices! The thermals kept the coffee warm for hours!

Huaqing L.

Yelp
The 2 coffees we tried that day were not very good. But it has its own roasting factory right next to it looks pretty cool. They also sell coffee bean and all kinds of merchandise.

Vanessa S.

Yelp
This was my second visit to this coffee spot, hoping it would be a welcoming place to enjoy coffee while studying. Unfortunately, it confirmed my concerns about the first visit, and I won't be returning. The vibe here is clear--they seem to cater to specific types of customers. Having a Black employee doesn't shift this dynamic, as she appears to align with their approach. I was third in line, and the contrast in treatment was obvious. The staff member was friendly and chatty with the two customers ahead of me. When I approached, I greeted her with a smile and said, "Hello, how are you?" She barely acknowledged me, offering a curt response and a demeanor that felt dismissive, even disgusted. While taking my order, she was terse and uninterested, though she seemed aware of her behavior, attempting a forced smile as she quickly dismissed me. The moment I stepped aside, she resumed her friendly and engaging attitude with the next customer in line.

Yelp
This coffee roastery is an absolute gem. Not only was the coffee delicious, but the inside is huge. It's perfect for studying, catching up with friends, or a place for afternoon coffee and board games. Highly recommend.

Skyla L.

Yelp
Wow. What a cool place. Giant windows to see the coffee roasting actually happening next door. Lots of comfy seating. WiFi available. They only had dark roast and I prefer light. They quickly brewed a new pot of light with a smile, and yum, yum, yum. Super smooth. They have breakfast tacos available til 11, and I just missed the cut off. I'm going to have to come back and try them. They also have a great selection of pastries, muffins, and sweets. Staff super friendly. So glad I know about this place. I'll be hitting it up every time I see patients for work in Carrollton.

Kasey Z.

Yelp
I ordered a brown sugar bourbon latte and was not super impressed by the flavors or the coffee. I felt that it was a bit weak, and was not very memorable. The interior of the place was very spacious and there were a lot of seating options, which would be nice for someone who needed to get some work done!

Maria C.

Yelp
If you're in need of strong, delicious coffee. This is the spot. Can actually taste the espresso in the drinks that I can appreciate when most "hip" coffee spots don't hit the spot. There is a huge workspace towards the back, where you can sip your coffee and do some work. I got the Kentucky cold brew, for under 5$ this drink was 10/10. Can opt for a splash or in my case, a heavy splash of milk of your choice. Cold brew was strong and so so good. Def will be back to this cafe!!

Kassiel G.

Yelp
Not much to say about good coffee except Damn. This is GOOD coffee. Also love the interior, wonderful energy in there from staff and the patrons. Good space for friends or to solo do work!

Francesca K.

Yelp
If you're a coffee connoisseur, you probably won't like their coffee. They pulled a double shot of espresso for me which was sour. I was expecting a smooth blend given Perks is a legit coffee shop and roastery. Maybe the bean wasn't good or the extraction was bad...who knows... Also, in my opinion, espresso should be served with sparking water, but at Perks, you will have to buy one. I also ordered a matcha drink which came out really granny and bitter. I did purchase a few bags of beans to see how they come out when I brew my own espresso. I will come and update this review later. This place is awesome for a tour and to see how they roast coffee. You do need to book the tour few weeks ahead. The shop also has a pleasant atmosphere. Their pastries and muffins are okay. They taste good if you get some latte with them.

Jess M.

Yelp
I've been trying to find a good coffee shop in the DFW area for a while now. For whatever reason, I couldn't find anything except cloyingly sweet drinks with a shot of espresso. Luckily, I found Parks Coffee Roastery & Cafe. I stopped in to meet someone for breakfast and saw that they had a breakfast taco called "The Jess Special" so I had to order that. It was... fine... Honestly, I was a little disappointed that something with my namesake would be so bland. I mean, what does that say about me? Am I... bland? No... It's the restaurant that is wrong. Anyway, the coffee was definitely the highlight. I ordered a pour-over of an Ethiopian and enjoyed it thoroughly. There was a hint of fruitiness that came through and it wasn't bitter at all. And they roast all of their beans in house. How neat is that?! Now if you read that last sentence and thought, "geez, what a pretentious clod. This coffeeshop sounds like it's only for high brow nerds that talk fancy about coffee" you don't need to worry about much. The staff here was pleasant and not high-falutin' at all. Now that I know there's a decent shop in the DFW area, I'll probably make more visits here. It's easily the best shop I've seen so far!

Barbara W.

Yelp
If you like supporting local businesses, and you enjoy a quiet coffee shop, this is the place for you. It's not quite as commercially cozy as a coffee chain, but it more than makes up for it with coffee geek knowledge and coffee choices. For those who are into pour-overs and freshly roasted beans (right here on the spot at the roastery), this is the place. I bought several blends to grind and roast at home. I enjoyed the 1986 roast, though it is a medium roast, which is not usually my preference. It makes a great cup with a drip machine with a cone filter (how I brewed it). They have a few food offerings as well though we didn't try them. It's worth a try if you're near George Bush and Old Denton or 35 and George Bush Tpke.

Therral L.

Yelp
Parks is a cool facility a bit touristy but a fun place to hang out. There's big windows everywhere so you can be nosy and look at all that's going on like the processing of the coffee and the coffee education classes. It's way to busy to get work done here it's best to just hang out and catch up with friends or something. I enjoyed my drink and the lady at the counter was super nice.

Moira S.

Yelp
This place was super cute inside! The barista was very nice and friendly. The coffee was decent but not the best I've had. My croissant was kinda soggy. It was pretty loud and not the best place to study or read. But realized there was a back room that was much more quiet! They had tons of cute merch and free stickers! Overall a cute shop. I would come back if I was in the area.

Mindy L.

Yelp
Meh. I was expecting better. Not a lot of good seating...it's a mixture of adirondack lawn chairs, bar tops, and smallish tables. There is a barren display on the wall with a lot of overpriced coffee items. I was not impressed with my Kentucky bourbon cold brew or whatever it was and the baked goods were pretty dry. I didn't feel super welcomed since I came with my baby, who was perfectly well behaved. She walked among the lawn chairs while I drank coffee sitting next to her but it felt like they want it to be adult only.

Dobin P.

Yelp
Their coffee is so fresh and nice quality. One of the best coffee I have ever tried!!!!! Definitely recommend!!

Jamie T.

Yelp
Update: I went on the tour this time. They go over how they make their coffee and how they ship it and you get to see it in action. It's only on Saturday mornings but if it want, you can call to schedule a private tour as well which I believe has expanded hours besides Saturdays. The tour is absolutely worth it; at the end, you get to do a coffee tasting with pastries as the tour guide goes over what each item is. Once that is over, you get a good discount into the shop items downstairs so definitely take advantage of that! I ended up getting a Chemex and merchandise for cheap!

Michael L.

Yelp
Parks has very good coffee. I enjoyed the light roast, doesn't leave a harsh aftertaste or bitterness. The food there is limited and didn't think much of it. Although they could have had the cashier give me my drip, I had to wait for the barista. It took a while and honestly it could have been faster. A+ for the coffee but C- for the wait.

La'Tice L.

Yelp
This place has been on my bucket list for quite some time. Got a chance to enjoy the Sunshine Coconut Mocha Latte with coconut milk. I believe it's one of their monthly/weekly specials. I was able to enjoy my drink and read in peace. You can see the factory from the giant window in the cafe. I believe they were filming something that day because you could see them through the window. I look forward to returning and taking the tour they offer!

Amy F.

Yelp
Cute coffee place! The location is a bit random, it's in an industrial/office building part of town near some neighborhoods, but it's really cute and close to the highway so great for a quick pick up. I got a latte, which wasn't very memorable or distinct, but still pretty solid! Not many outlets so not exactly a study place, but it is cool to see some of the behind the scenes of the roasters. Tons of coffee beans to grab for home or gifts.

Howard L.

Yelp
Cold brew here is smoother than Starbucks. Price is about the same, so I'd rather give Parks my money instead of a mega corporation. Cafe is cute and there's plenty of bar-style seating along the walls and tables at the main floor to study or hang out. There's also plenty of seating at the back half of the roastery near the restrooms, which isn't very obvious when you first walk in.

Karen B.

Yelp
Yummmm!! Super friendly and helpful which I like especially when it's my first visit and I have questions!! House made syrups! Great atmosphere! I ordered the Mocha Raspberry Iced Latte with Raspberry cream it was great! My first time here and I'll be back soon!

Chinmay P.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with Parks Coffee in Carrolton! The coffee is chef's kiss and the pastries are to die for. I got the iced white chocolate latte and it was so creamy and flavorful. The cinnamon roll was also amazing, it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, they made me feel right at home. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area! I got a iced white chocolate latte (front) and my friend got an iced matcha and a cinnamon roll. Overall it was a 4/5!! Would recommend.

Tanera J.

Yelp
I haven't tried any actually coffee from here because I'm not much of a coffee person these days. I have, however had the vegan strawberry guava poptart pastry and it is so good. I like that it's puffy but do wish there was more filling. Not bad for a lil treat. I ordered my go worker the flat white and she said it was delicious. I think I'll go back to try each pastry item they have as I love croissants. I do also plan to try the coffee and come back with an updated review about the coffee as well as the other pastries they have. I liked the prices also and didn't feel it was expensive. Pretty affordable compared to some other coffee shops I've tried.

Sadia Q.

Yelp
We recently hosted an event at Parks coffee, their 3rd floor event space is amazing. Big open space with beautiful windows. Tables and chairs are provided and I can't say enough about how helpful the staff and managing coordinator Rebecca were! They were so responsive to my emails and helped make the party run so smoothly. They shared images beforehand of where everything is located and were readily available when I had questions or needed assistance. Parks is known for their great quality coffee but if you ever need a venue space to host an event of any kind, I highly recommend doing it at Parks!!

Bernadette T.

Yelp
I was in Carrollton for a short trip, and stopped by this coffee shop. The building is huge and looks very industrial, but we soon came to learn that this is where the coffee beans are roasted! Entering the cafe area, there are large windows where you can see the roastery (which you can tour as well) so I love how transparent they are with the process. We got a cold brew and americano, both tasted awesome, you can tell it is high quality coffee. Definitely want to return here next time i'm in Dallas! I think it's awesome that the family owned company started and stayed in Carrollton.

Yelp
Let's be clear. I don't live in Texas. I live and work in San Diego, CA. Parks provides the coffee delivery service for my office. I have to say, I am blown away not only by the huge selection of coffees, but also the amazing flavor of said coffees. My office has chosen three of their flavors for our office to fit the palate of my many employees: Darker than Dark, for those on my team, myself included who like very bold flavored coffee, Tall Dark & Columbian for those who like a stronger coffee but not too strong, and Donut Time for those who like a mild flavored coffee they can make into liquid candy with flavorings. Ew. The prices are not only competitive with the other vendors I interviewed for my office, they blow them out of the water. Parks is way more affordable. Now lets talk about service. You see, as the office manager at my company, I need vendors I don't have to micro-manage. I need vendors who provide the service paid for and make my job easier. As much as I love the coffee and the prices, my delivery guy, Gio, is the icing on the cake. Let's face it, all vendor salespersons rave on how great the service they will provide is going to be. Most fall short. Especially the vendors providing office services. However Gio goes above and beyond. When his office falls short with my order for one of the many reasons that come up, warehouse deliveries delayed due to this year's snow storms and other heavy weather, Gio made extra efforts to make sure my needs were met. As soon as the rest of my delivery got in, he made it a point to get it to me so that there would be no interruption in the operation of my office. Hey. My team goes crazy when the coffee runs out. Today is the date of my delivery. I find myself looking forward to Gio coming into my office and going into my break room kitchen and checking my supplies and delivering my goods per my need, even the need I don't know I have, I tend to forget to order filters and stirrers, and bill me accordingly. I dont even question it. He already knows I will never go for foo foo seasonal flavors and not to even offer. I mean, ew.

Steve L.

Yelp
We were staying at Great Wolf and realized there weren't too many good local coffee choices (and our Starbucks . I did a quick search and found Parks open early at 6am. And it was connected to their actual roastery. I tried their app to order a pickup order, but kept getting an error message so had to run over there to put in my order. When you enter, it's a beautiful open industrial concept with several personal touches. There were also plenty of places to study, to lounge, and to relax. You can peruse their specialty and their office coffees, peer into how coffee is roasted, and even see their first coffee roaster ("Big Red"). You could tell the workers there love talking about coffee - very knowledgeable. I ordered their pourover - they were brewing a Colombian roast which really was medium, balanced, and full bodied. Their lavender latte was good, but not as good as the one we get locally in Houston (The Cuppo). Overall though, the coffee was solid. It is a great place to go when you are in Carrollton.

Angela W.

Yelp
This is a very unassuming coffee shop off PGT highway. From the outside it may not seem like much but this is one of the biggest coffee shops in the DFW metroplex. They also sell lots of cute merch and have cute decor. Wifi is also free Drink: - matcha latte and vanilla latte. The matcha in the matcha latte was not blended very well hence the four stars Vanilla latte was great! Perfect amount of bitter and sweet.

Hailey D.

Yelp
This place is definitely worth giving it a try. It's unusual in that not only can you grab your favourite coffee fix here, it's also the place where the coffee is roasted so you can see the equipment they use to do the roasting. Stopped in to meet a client here; great atmosphere and very comfortable setting. Free Wi-fi worked great. Staff was very friendly and super courteous. Perfect spot to meet my client. Coffee had a different taste than that other national brand coffee house - you know the one I mean - but I found it enjoyable all the same. I ordered a latté with soy milk; didn't taste that hint of vanilla I've come to expect from other cafes, so you may want to request a splash of vanilla flavouring if you want that taste. Apparently they do tours here of the roasting process every other weekend. Definitely going to give that a go shortly.

Lily F.

Yelp
I've driven past this place every time I go to H-mart in Carrollton and every time I think to myself, "Imma go in there one day. Why is that coffee place so big? Is it a coffee factory? It looks like a brewery but for coffee. Oh yeah, that's called a 'roastery.' It's in the name, Lily. Dur. It kinda looks like a coffee museum too. Is it open to the public?" The answer to all of my questions is "yes." It's everything. It looks like they do some serious coffee business here, but it's very much open to the public. And it does kinda looks like a coffee factory and a museum on the inside because everything is white and there's a lot of coffee info on the walls. Did you know that coffee was said to be discovered when an Ethiopian sheepherder noticed his goats were "frolicking about more than usual" after they ate some small red berries and leaves? I ordered a vegan bfast taco and nitro cold brew ($8) and was very happy with my choices. While more and more local places are starting to do nitro cold brews, I find that a lot of places usually don't do the nitro (except for Starbucks) or they're usually out. And Parks does a great nitro. I just noticed that above my head is a huge projector screen. Perhaps you can conduct a business meeting in here as well. This place does it all.

James T.

Yelp
So, it's like a shoeless little orphan kid trying to outgrow her past. It tries so very hard to be a grown up specialty coffee shop with kinda baristas and specialty blends but it's heritage is office break room coffee. Seriously, Robusta beans in big bags to pour into the Sam's break room Bunn drip coffee machine. The tell is the single serve creamer in the "cafe" That said, it's a nice place, great internet, it just cannot be more

Loanne N.

Yelp
Great coffee shop with high ceilings and seating to catch up with friends or do some work. Coffee - got a cold brew which was super smooth and tasted great. For food, got a cinnamon roll which was just ok and could skip. Interior- bar seating and table seating. They make their beans in the same vicinity so it's cool to walk by and see some of their machinery. Restroom is located in the back and they have a few newspapers on the front table for you to grab to read while enjoying coffee. Parking lot has ample space outside. There is a wall on the interior with some of their merch and a cork board for local businesses to display ads.

Phuong N.

Yelp
Parks Roastery is an okay place. The coffee is decent, nothing extraordinary. We had a flat white and chai latte, which was different then your normal coffee and tea. The atmosphere is average, and the service is okay. If you're in the area and need a coffee fix, it'll do the job, but don't expect anything mind-blowing. They do offer tours at 9am on Saturday.

Ericka P.

Yelp
The pastries were phenomenal, the coffee was ok. My wife ordered one of the specialty drinks which was better then a standard flat.

Tommi D.

Yelp
This is my go to coffee shop to study. It has a back room that is quiet to study, with high and low top tables. They also have a front seating area if you are looking to hang out and chat with friends. I love their coffee, you can really tell a difference in the fact that the roastery is right there. I love getting their croissants and bread, they always taste fresh. And the staff is the best. I don't know who had problems with service, but I go once a week to study and have never had problems. They always are quick to make the coffee, let you know when it is done, and are always super kind. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you need a good place to study or meet up with friends.

Mariana B.

Yelp
Staff was really nice and answered all our questions. Great service. Lots of space. Clean.

Alexa K.

Yelp
the workers here are sweet & the place itself is really cool. there's a cute cafe area in the front and towards the back a quieter area for working. the blueberry matcha was pretty good and i love the strawberry guava poptart! great place for me to go study

Jessica L.

Yelp
I did the roastery tour here today. It was such a fun experience! We got to see how the coffee started from the cherry picked off the coffee plant and ended with the coffee that they packaged in the K -Cup pods. We could smell the delicious coffee roasting as we stepped out of the car in the parking lot! That is definitely a scent I wish I could bottle up! The tour ended with a coffee tasting accompanied with pastries from a local bakery which were so delicious. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and kind. After the tour I ordered an iced cinnamon latte made with oat milk and their house made cinnamon syrup and some tacodeli breakfast tacos. Everything was yummy and we had a blast. I'm looking forward to visiting again to try some of their specialty drinks!

Kelsey R.

Yelp
My favorite little (big) coffee shop in Carrollton. There is space for studying, or just enjoying your coffee. There is cute merchandise the store offers. I pretty much come here every time I'm in the area. The coffee is solid, the employees are nice, the entire shop is clean. It's also really cool to see how the coffee is made.

Skylar D.

Yelp
Got the Vanella Latte! It was just okay the atmosphere is nice though! Wanted a sweeter coffee! Lol

Sarah H.

Yelp
With an unassuming entrance... you walk into a full system of coffee creation! This coffee shop is located AT the place it's brewed! There's a window-for-a-wall inside the shop that shows the inner workings of the process your beans went through to live in your cup. I'm a huge fan of trying new places for my coffee addiction and I will definitely be back soon!

Abby L.

Yelp
I lived in Dallas until college and would always pass this place wondering about it. When visiting family my husband and I went back multiple times this week. It has a fun, clean, and cool inside seating area. You can even see into part of the warehouse. My husband thought their lattes were better than their drip. I enjoyed their lavender lattes -cool to know the syrup is made in house. I always left satisfied from Parks. A place we will come every time we are in town.

Mariana L.

Yelp
Amazing place. We had a tour with Clay and Andrew and they were excellent. We had a coffee testing session after the tour. Highly recommend for a group.

Tony D.

Yelp
Interesting interior, plenty of seating, they got lawn chairs too. You can learn a little bit about the coffee process walking around! I did not like my iced latte, its got the bad tastes of viet coffee without the chocolateness. The Matcha drink was not good either, it was not sweet and after asking to add sweetener it was still not good. Seats were not comfortable so I personally have no reason to be back.

Sophia J.

Yelp
I usually start my morning with an iced vanilla latte and this place has been my recent pick up store for my coffees. I like that every time I order iced vanilla latte, the taste has never changed. I liked how the sitting areas seems to be divided into the talking area (by the front) and the studying area (towards the back) assuming that the back area always was the quieter side. Also, one more nice thing about this cafe is that there are plenty of parking spaces!

Genevieve C.

Yelp
I like this little spot! This is my go-to coffee shop when I'm meeting with my friends. We often spend hours catching up over coffee or enjoying our time on our computers. I typically get the drip coffee (light roast) with some creamer. My friend had the peach and honey latte last time we went (it was seasonal and I'm not actually sure if it was honey, it was definitely peach though!)

Jeff K.

Yelp
two things surprise me. 1. I thought this was an independent coffee shop with one location. But on the website it states that they service multiple states. 2. Being in Carrollton and nearby korean stores, i thought it was owned by an korean family, due to the name "parks". I know "Park" is a very popular korean surname, but i guess the extra "s" threw me off. lol. Anyways, this place is massive, but i'd say about 85% of the location is taken up by the roastery.... I believe you can also tour and have tasting flights of coffee, but its not everyday, and it only happens at certain time. We ended up getting a simple cold brew and an seasonal drink, and it was pretty tasty/smooth coffee. They also sell k-cups and whole beans you can take home. We ended up buying a bag of whole beans (10 bucks) and it's delicious tasting coffee from my espresso machine. They have a few seats and tables along the window, but more seats in the back near the restroom.

Shana A.

Yelp
Wow! Really, really ridiculously good iced mocha latte!! Kicking myself...I did not know this was a cafe. I will definitely be back and recommend to others. Super cute cafe and lots of table space.

Trisha B.

Yelp
Very impressed with this coffee shop! They have all of your typical coffee shop offerings, in addition to breakfast tacos and baked goodies from La Casita. I think their Kentucky Cold Brew is the best cold brew I've ever had. The bourbon syrup in it just gives it a wonderful and unique taste. Love the location as it's easy to get to, and there's plenty of parking in the parking lot. Inside is bright and inviting with tables throughout for you to get work done or have a casual hangout. There's also a little shop where they sell Parks apparel, drinkware, and coffee beans. Service was very friendly and very fast. They also offer delivery via UberEats and Postmates! Overall, would definitely recommend!

Yelp
What a great alternative to the crap coffee from Seattle. The pastries look amazing and the coffee is smooth. Great find in the middle of dfw. Now....come to Alliance
