Peppery fries with truffle mayo? Based on that alone, I love this tiny Italian hole-in-the-wall, even if it is in a slightly forgettable location that meant I never found it until now.
The pizza slices are generous and filling, with a thick bready crust and san marzano tomato sauce.
I had a margherita, thinking it would look like the one I saw on the display, covered in diced tomatoes and herbs, but that must have been a different pizza because I got a pretty standard sauce-and-cheese concoction. Don't get me wrong, it was great, I just wish there were more indications on the pizza display!
But the desserts were wonderful. A gooey chocolate cookie, a tiramisu-for-one and a light shortbread were our shared afternoon snacks back in the office, and all were wonderful. My favourite Italian desserts are the pastries--cannoli and sfoliatelle, with lemon or pistachio fillings--and it would have been nice to try their cannoli, too! There's always next time.
I loved Café Parma, from the atmosphere, to the decor, to the food, and I'm excited to come back here for lunch given how close it is to my office ;)
