For our Valentine’s Day weekend date we had an amazing experience! Sergio was very attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire evening. We started with the Polpo (Spanish Octopus), followed by the Casarecce pasta for our first course, and for the main course we ordered the Salmon and the Basso Nero. Everything was fantastic!

We went for lunch. The food was very delicious. The service and the atmosphere were fantastic. Our server was friendly and checked on us several times throughout out our lunch. The view was stunning. We will definitely revisit.

Amazing food! I accidentally went on the busiest day, Christmas Eve. However, they did their best to get us to our table, and we never felt rushed. The food arrived quickly, and everything was a hit. We started with the Mela Salad, Octopus, and Parma. Each dish was perfect. For our entrees, the Branzino was crispy and served on a bed of deliciousness. The veal was a bit overcooked, but the flavor was fantastic. The Rigatoni Burrata was great, although I would have preferred a slightly softer pasta. We ended with an incredible dessert: Amaretto Ice Cream with Tiramisu, Rainbow Cookies with Hazelnuts, and Chocolate. It was pure heaven and tasted just like Ferrero Rocher! I will definitely be back and make sure you make reservations

We celebrated my friend’s birthday yesterday, and it was a fantastic time. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Despite it being dark, the view from the Verrazano Bridge was breathtaking, with the lights of Brooklyn reflecting off the harbor.

My server Fernando was amazing. Food was awesome. Also met a female manager who was was exceptional. Thank you all for my first time enjoyable experience

Great food but be prepared to wait for your food and bill. We were a party of 7 with a reservation Saturday evening and our entire dining experience lasted over 3 hours. The focaccia was great with super fresh ingredients. Calamari was crispy. Zuchini flowers were uniquely delicious. I felt the pasta in the chicken parm was a bit hard but had good flavor. Chicken was super crispy. Waiter was really nice and fun to talk to it just took a long time to get the check.

Best thing was this focaccia appetizer we got! Calamari was very thin and not too chewy which is rare to do this well! Prosecco and Room with a View were great drinks!

Where do I even start with Pastavino! This place has it all—stunning views, fantastic service, and food that’s out of this world. Whether you choose to sit inside or outside, you’re in for a treat. The decor is gorgeous and transports you to a place far from NYC. We opted to sit outside, and the waterfront view was simply amazing. The atmosphere is super baby-friendly and accommodating, too. The food? Absolutely divine! We had the Rigatoni E Burrata and branzino—both were perfection. I highly recommend Pastavino for a charming date night or a fun girls’ night out!

We ate at Pastavino Trattoria. As a starter I had the MELA E GORGONZOLA raw & roasted apples, gorgonzola dolce, arugula, shaved fennel, toasted almonds, apple cider vinaigrette. My daughter ordered the Caesar, which is described on the menu u as a "rustic" salad the waiter warned us that it was heavy on the anchovy but she ordered it anyway. When the salads arrived I could smell the fish and cheese and my daughter took a few bites and didn't care for it. I swapped with her but also didn't care for it. My salad was delicious. The manager came by to express how sorry he was that we didnt care for the salad and offered her something else but not being really hungry she declined. For entrees my daughter had the Italian wedding soup which she said was delicious, my husband ordered the gnocchi which is Ricotta gnocchi, butternut squash, sage butter, grated cheese and I had the MELANZANE ALLA PARMIGIANO Crispy eggplant, mozzarella, marinara, shells in spicy vodka sauce. Both entrees were fabulous. We finished dinner with cappuccinos and strawberry gelato. An overall wonderful meal. And this is where they rose above the average restaurant. When our waiter delivered the check he informed us that they'd removed the $20.00 Caesar salad. This was an unexpected but very much appreciated effort in customer service. They didn't have to do that. But I will say that excellent customer service is something I really enjoy in a restaurant. And we loved the decor and ambience! We will definitely return.

Omg! I feel like this place is a hidden geeemmmmm. Especially if you live in one of the other boroughs -- don't skip Pastavino. Sergio -- you're amazing!!! He helped me pick the best possible wine to pair with my dinner. I'm not a wine snob or in fact know anything about it so having someone like him who knew exactly what I should try and ended up liking. Yessss. Also, the portion are INSANE. I cannot believe how much food was on my plate. And yes, it was effing GOOD. I love the decor and they're right next to the water. So make sure you try going when the water is nice so you can sit outside. Overall 14/10!

Pastavino is the perfect restaurant if you would like a beautiful atmosphere, great food and an amazing bar and bartenders. They are extremely accommodating to my very picky palette and they go out of their way to make me happy. The food is fresh ,delicious, and never disappoints.

Everything here is absolutely delicious! From the drinks to the food, I don't know what I enjoyed most. Friendly & helpful staff & such a beautiful atmosphere. The gnocchi with sausage was delicious, the chicken parmesan with vodka sauce was absolutely amazing, & The frozen espresso martini was to die for! We will surely be visiting this place again & again!

Pastavino is arguably the best Italian restaurant on Staten Island. We went on a Friday night and the vibes were awesome. The place was packed and the music was great. Our appetizers were the highlight of the night. The Calabrese focaccia and the octopus were great. For our entrees, the short ribs were pretty dry and the greens in the cavatelli were not my favorite. I wish the rabbit ragu was prepared with more of a sauce base. Regardless, the pasta itself tasted very fresh and is noticeably homemade. The short ribs are probably something to pass on in my opinion.

Ambiance: This restaurant is lovely - there is no denying this. It is located by the harbor waterfront with gorgeous views of the city skyline. Inside, you will find a bar and wine display in the back, along with a spacious dining area. Service: When we initially arrived, the service given by the waiter and staff was okay - nowhere close to excellent. Then, once I was spotted taking photos of the restaurant and food, their attention towards us shifted and the service we began receiving went from okay to good, which is what we initially expected upon arrival for this fine dining experience. Once the waiter became aware that I would be reviewing this restaurant (he asked), he became more attentive and began sharing the history of this restaurant and its chosen location on the island. I am unable to tell if we would have received a good service experience if he wasn't aware that I would be reviewing this restaurant as it was not consistent with what we had when we initially arrived. Food: We ordered the rice balls, chicken parmigiana and a pasta with vodka sauce- food was tasty and we were satisfied. We didn't have an appetite for dessert; however, we did notice those around us did enjoy theirs.

First time here... I was expecting high hopes for this place but it disappointed. We had calamari for appetizer which was the only thing that was good out of our dinner, along with the side table bread. For main course we had the Paccheri Fra Diavolo & Pollo Marsala. The Paccheri was super flavorless and tasted very very sandy. Didn't give it a wow factor about it to match the price. The Marsala was basically salty soup with chicken sitting on top with some fancy garnish. The "soup part" was so salty and bitter that I didn't want to finish it. The chicken tasted rubbery. Service was very bleak and dry. The hostess you can tell she didn't want to be there. The ambience was weird nothing matched in there.

This is a place that defines "you get what you pay for" and you truly do here. The prices are relatively high but the food is exceptional. I have not ordered something I didn't love. Service is attentive and friendly. The place is new and fresh looking giving it a great ambiance for a date night or a regular family outing. Keep up the good work and good food!

Kinda pricey and pasta was too al dente for my taste. The ambiance is really nice here very cozy Italian restaurant.

Pastavino is very aesthetically pleasing, where once you walk into the restaurant you feel as if you're transported into a relaxing and elegant atmosphere facing the waterfront! The service is also very professional, attuned, friendly, and warm. Our server, David, was very patient and kind, taking the time to explain to us certain ingredients we weren't familiar with, which we are very appreciative of! He also helped us find a seat that was warmer (in the terrace), which made our experience a lot more comfortable because today was definitely quite chilly, and the indoor dining was definitely colder due to it being air-conditioned. I want to take this moment to thank David for being so considerate and for demonstrating exemplary service! Now given the amazing service by David and the amazing ambiance, why the low score? Unfortunately it boils down to the food. We started off with the Polpo, which was the Spanish octopus with crispy potato and garlic aioli. The sauce was very mild in flavor, which did not enhance the flavor of the octopus by much. The octopus was also not cooked consistently throughout, where some parts was incredibly soft up to the point of having a raw texture, and some parts was overly charred leaving an intense bitter taste that overpowered the taste of the octopus. As you can see in the picture, the char was not consistent which left some areas tasting more burnt than charred. For our main, I got the Chittarra and my wife got the Bucatini Neri Vongole. My chittarra was overly al dente, which diverted my energy to chewing rather than savoring its taste. The owner, John, was kind enough to explain to us that due to their pasta being all homemade, it is often not possible to make them any softer than al dente due to it not having time to dry out to reduce its water content. The owner was kind enough to replace my dish with a different pasta which I appreciated. Would be helpful to highlight that on the menu in the future since not every diner will know this fact. However, although the remade pasta was softer, the dish itself was overly salty and the pork pieces were a bit burnt, which altogether detracted from the dish's creaminess and richness. My wife's bucatini was also very al dente, but she enjoyed it due to its generous amount of clams (although more shells than actual clams), which you can see in the pictures. The garlic, lemon, and crushed taralli all blended into a refreshing and savory mix, and my wife definitely enjoyed its flavor profile more than I did. Overall, I want to emphasize how amazing the service is from David; he really worked hard to ensure and provide diners with the best experience possible. Unfortunately this time it was a miss for us, but it could likely just be due to the selection we chose that was subpar and underwhelming. This is their autumn menu and will likely change depending on when you read this review, so good luck! (: Lastly, there was this little fly that bothered us the entire meal, so just keep that in mind if you dine in the terrace! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (: P.S. However, the rationale he provided for the charred octopus was that it was typically served charred, and the saltiness of the Chittara was that it was simply how it is typically made in Italy, which was dismissive and highlighted only one issue without addressing my other concerns regarding the dishes (e.g., the inconsistent texture of the octopus, it being overly and inconsistently charred, mild flavor of the sauce, burnt guanciale, etcetera). Rationalizing a subpar experience of a dish by trying to normalize it by saying that is how it is made does not validate or empathize with the diner's experience, nor does it suggest any desire for growth and betterment, it dismisses and places the blame on the diner for not enjoying the food. Nonetheless, the important note to keep in mind is that if your experience is not optimal, do your best to speak up at the moment for David and the other friendly servers appear willing to remedy the situation as best as they can. I have not experience any rude waiters or waitresses as highlighted by other reviewers, but I have experienced the heavy handedness of the saltiness of the food that others have wrote about. If your dish comes out too salty, bring it to your servers' attention and I am sure they will do their best to address it! Ask for David and you will be professionally taken care of! First as soon as you walk through you get hit with an absolutely gorgeous ambiance. Between the huge wine cellar they have to the very modern look of the restaurant we were seated immediately. Our server greeted us and told her she just started and if she couldn't answer any questions. She would find the answer out which was very nice. But then the bad started. She didn't come back until another 15 mins to take our order. And it was not very busy not sure where you wondered to. After she took our drink and appetizer order we made the mistake of not ordering our meals. She was gone till the appetizers came out. Then she took our meal order. I highly recommend the charcuterie board it was absolutely amazing the different cheese and olives OMG the meats were so fresh as well. We also got the focaccia bread. Still warm and amazing. For my main I ordered the fra Diavolo which was not as spicy but that's alright they had delicious cherry peppers and the pasta wasn't in abundance with fresh pasta it's not the quantity it's the quality so if you want a large dish that you will take up it's not here. For dessert I had a slice or there tiramisu cheese cake. Which was alright. And their frozen expresso martini was delicious. All in all I had a great time the ding is only because of the service. Unfortunately poor service leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I will return hopefully with a different server.

Delicious! Attentive servers, even when the place is packed the service is great Clean. Comfortable. Cute inside. We had the caprese focaccia - very very good n fresh. For our entrees we had chicken parm, chicken Marsala n the fra diavlo. Everyone loved their meals n both chicken dishes went home w leftovers. It was a birthday so we had the olive oil cake which they brought out w a candle n we quietly sang w the waiter. It was a perfect dinner and I will definitely return n would recommend to all. Parking is tight.

Finally made it to dinner last night with friends. Nice menu nice selections. The prices are Manhattan prices though, not Staten Island prices. Our appetizers and entrées were very good as were the drinks. My only disappointment was my affogato for dessert was just not good which surprised me.

I only came here for the cake since it was a late night but the ambiance is very romantic I would definitely come here for a date . I was at the bar and the bartender was so friendly and attentive, made eating cake at midnight by myself not as embarrassing lol

AMAZING! From the food, service, and ambiance this place was amazing. This was my first time visiting and I 100% would return and recommend. The food was fresh and delicious. We had it all from appetizers to entrees to dessert. You have to try the frozen espresso martini it was out of this world! Ambiance and service of the restaurant was also a 10/10. I would say this place is good for lunch or dinner, an intimate date or even a night out with the girls.

Food is always top quality and delicious. Ambience is nice and a cute spot to have a nice dinner. However, I did see a waitress come out of the restroom and not wash her hands thank goodness she wasn't the one serving my table! Edit: One of the owners reached out and said he would address the issue with all of the staff, which shows their commitment to quality and cleanliness. I am planning to continue to dine at this restaurant. Thank you for addressing the issue.

Came here with family after seeing the cutest outdoor seating area, by the water too!! My brother and his wife have been here once before and had a great experience so we decided to try it. Although the restaurant was fairly empty, it took around forty minutes for our main dishes to arrive after we were served our appetizers that took around twenty minutes. Fortunately, we weren't rushed on time and we had a lovely view of the docks, but thought it was odd we had to wait for so long. We ordered five dishes in total, a Caesar salad, calamari, two bucatini neri al scampi (squid ink) pastas, and the paccheri fra diavolo that the waiter recommended. The appetizers were great, the creamy sauce that came with the calamari was a big hit! As for the salad, the focaccia crisps were a great touch for extra crunch, but the plate itself was on the smaller side. The squid ink pasta was just ok, the breadcrumbs coupled with the very al dente pasta created a weird texture, reminding me of sand you would find in seafood. The paccheri fra diavolo on the other hand was divine. The spicy tomato sauce packed tons of flavor and the pasta had the perfect bite to it! The dish also came with more seafood than I thought it would, a mix of clams, mussels, squid, and shrimp. Overall, good food, slow service, and great atmosphere. Would come by again!

As usual, this spot HITS the spot in every possible way. Came back on a Saturday, been a while. Excellent wine. Reliably incredible Napolitano foccacia which is one of my favorite things ever. We got Chicken Parm with the amazingly light and spicy vodka sauce shells - which even though is a tried and true classic, this place does it better than anyone - and I experimented by getting this saffron cavatelli mixed with a rabbit ragu. The pasta blew me away. We don't ordinarily get dessert but here, we do. Pistachio gelato tasted fantastic and my olive oil cake with vanilla cream and blueberry sugo topped the meal off in tasty style. Bottom line, can't recommend this place enough. Class and deliciousness every time.

Had an amazing dinner with my family. As usual service was great. Food was outstanding. Branzino was delicious. Chicken parm was fantastic. And topped off with delicious desserts. If your not sure where to go for dinner you must go here.

Ambiance - beautiful! Food - This is my third time here. Each time I've tried something new (appetizer and entree). My recent entree was inedible, just completely overcooked and disintegrating on the fork. Only one out of the five dishes was delicious, the eggplant and rigatoni. Bread basket bread is too hard, never had hard bread like this in a restaurant. Service - many need retraining. Long wait times (even with few people in the restaurant). Drinks were empty for too long, no forks or knives for a long period of time after food was delivered (requested, but didn't arrive, had to go get them ourselves). Service was unable to answer questions related to the food (maybe allow staff to try the food and ask and answer questions?...) We were hoping the third time was a charm, but looks like we'll never be going back.

This place is great for a large party of friends or relatives, but the noise level does sometimes make it difficult to hold a conversation at a table for two or four. That being said, everything else is on point. Great atmosphere, service and wonderful food. Our small group shared the octopus and calamari appetizers and they were outstanding. My paccheri fra diavalo was so satisfying with just a touch of heat. Everyone else loved their dishes and the Nero D'Avola wine from Sicily went well with our dinners. Our waiter, George, was informative, professional and always at hand to make us happy. If you want to have a enjoyable, though slightly noisy evening, with a great dining experience, look no further

INCREDIBLE restaurant!!! Everything we had was 10/10. I seriously cannot explain how much I loved this place. From the first bite of the appetizers, we knew that this was going to be an amazing dining experience. Such a killer location as well on the pier with views of Manhattan. Inside is absolutely beautiful. Service was outstanding, so attentive and the food came out extremely timely. Cannot wait to take my family here soon!

First time here! I have heard wonderful things and it did not disappoint! Started off with a focaccia (being gluten free I didn't have any) but everyone said was delicious with hot honey, and we got the octopus app, also delicious and very tender. Main course, everyone got pasta all said they were delicious! I got the porchetta which was a special and it was SO GOOD! Dessert we all got gelato, very rich in flavor!

I've been meaning to check out this restaurant for a while now and I'm glad I finally did! Restaurant is beautiful but the food and the stellar service is what takes it over the top. Sal took great care of us throughout our dinner, offering great suggestions that did not leave us disappointed. Cocktails are fun and creative and they have an impressive wine list as well. Can't wait to be back, especially in the summer, to enjoy their outdoor dining option and nice water views.

Great ambiance , service and food. Have been here twice. Outside and indoor seating are great. Love the flat breads and Cesar salad. Eggplant parm is delicious so are the fish dishes. Everything that I've tried here is a hit.

Pastavino, a trendy Italian restaurant based on the ground floor of the new Apartment complex of the north shore in Staten Island, is fun, lively, and busy yet had plenty of reservations to accommodate us on short notice. The menu is what you'd expect from a typical Italian restaurant ranging from assortments of pasta to meat or fish dishes. One of the highlights is the focaccia bread. Though a word of warning- the small focaccia bread as an appetizer is probably enough for two people. We went a size up and ended up taking home most of our dinner because of how full we were from our appetizers. The food itself was delicious, with fresh herbs and cheese, and came out relatively quick despite how busy it was. Overall, despite being a little bit out of the way, pastavino is worth a side trip for dinner whether on a weekend or random weeknight.

Great restaurant overlooking lower bay. Great location and eclectic vibe. Very original menu. Nice apps such as grilled octopus; meatballs; calamari; and PEI mussels. As far as entrees, there are a nice array of pasta, chicken, pork, and vegetarian options. Desserts are decadent and delicious. Did I mention the absolutely stunning wine list? Also, nice touch with local (flagship) craft beer.

Went early afternoon and the restaurant was nice and quiet and our server was very nice and attentive. The food was very good although a bit pricey for what you are getting. Limited menu but, again, what we ordered was very delicious. Drinks and wine were also very good.

11.23.2022, Wednesday @6:42pm Reservation for 6:30pm table for two. Was a bit late but still got seated right away. Seem like a quite night. Once walk in the host greeted and was friendly. Our server was okie but I didn't like the server assistant constantly coming trying to remove our plates and after finally did allow him to remove things off the table, he actually use something like a baby wipe and wipe our table while we were still sitting chatting n gave us a bad strong taste of smell. The foods is ok, nothing special out of the ordinary but we only ordered appetizers didn't get main course as we weren't that hungry. And by the time we finished, our tummy was so full we couldn't even try dessert. May go back to try the main course. If I do, I hope the server assistant will not keep coming table to take my plates away lol.

Restaurant is located in the new Urby Area of Staten Island, right by the water. It's a gorgeous looking restaurant. On warmer days you can sit outside. The place is so elegant and cozy. The food was delicious! I highly recommend

The veal ragu was tasty. The cocktails were ok and the focaccia was great. Ambiance inside is very nice. Outside doesn't get too much light. It was around 6 but been there before and didn't seem much better. We got mosquito bites which another family asked to move inside because their kids got eaten up. Possibly coming from the greenery by the tables. The service was lacking. Came in to nobody at reception. The lady was helping set up a table for a party. Usually when staff sees customers waiting they would at least acknowledge them or maybe direct them to the bar until they are ready. Nothing, and then when she did come by she grabbed menus for the party table and we were still standing there waiting to at least be acknowledged. We thought about walking out but we were hungry so we waited. The server was nice but the overall vibe seemed like nobody wanted to be there. No dessert this time around. We just wanted to leave after dinner. Prices were a bit steep for the quality of service. Was not a great experience but also wasn't terrible.

I don't often review a restaurant but in this case it's worth it. We had our daughter's wedding here and I can not begin to explain how wonderful of a job they did. From the staff to the food to the management, it was wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful and my friends and family raved about the quality and quantity of food that was served. We had it served family style and people loved it. We have been back several times for dinner since and their revolving menu never disappoints. Special thanks to John for his professionalism and attention to detail.

Amazing Food, Cocktail could be more creative, fantastic service ! This is the kind of place you want starve all day for because you will want to lick the plate clean! We started with the Calabrese, soppressata on the side since I'm a vegetarian and my boyfriend is a carnivore. Next we shared a Rigatoni e Burrata. Sounds boring??? well let me tell you, fresh home made pasta makes a world of a difference! Next we had the Melanzane alla Parmigiano!!! O.. M.. G.. Perfectly crispy breaded eggplant medallions on a bed of shells smothered in spicy vodka sauce. To finish our meal we shared amaretti cookie gelato. For cocktails we had the Pastavino Spritz, Margarita Italiano, Millennial pink Martini and opted for a beer since they were out of my beverage choice, Viola. Our reservation was for 6:30 pm on Friday. By the time we left at 8:30 the place was packed and loud! Needless to say I highly recommend you make a reservation.

I've been here many times and it is definitely one of my favorite restaurants on Staten Island. Their menu changes seasonally, which is great because you can always try something new! My go-to drink that is always on the menu is the Pastavino Spritz. The decor is always beautiful and since it is located by the water, the view is beautiful as well. The service is definitely consistently great and the servers are always attentive. I have gone with and without reservations, but I would definitely recommend making reservations because it can get very busy!

Sucha beautiful place ! Came here for dinner and it was perfect from service to ambiance to the food! I loved the decor so much. We had the mussels and tartare for appetizers, and shared the rabbit ragu and branzino. Everything was delicious and perfect portion! Will definitely come back again!

Pastavino is a nice change of pace to other contemporary Italian restaurants. They make most of not all their pastas daily if I'm not mistaken. Only issue I have that sometimes the pasta portions are small and sometimes they are proportionate to what your paying for. My only gripe with the restaurant is that they won't let you make reservations for more than 8 people. I enjoy the ambience and the quality of the food. Their specialty drinks are pretty good as well. I've been to Pastavino about a dozen times this year. A great treat when goin to an event at the St. Goerge Theater. If you haven't been here it's a must....go enjoy!!

Pastavino is amongst one of top quality restaurants on Staten Island, they have brought service, food and atmosphere to the next level. If you like italian wines, you will find the best selection, if your looking for a classic cocktail made to perfection this is your place, we ordered a pasta dish with Truffle and a eggplant parm both out of this world. the food , staff and the whole atmosphere was a 10/10 John the general manager was beyond accommodating and truly generous with his time and going over the menu . I can't pick just one dish that stood out bc they all did from apps to dessert . This restaurant is 100% a that try to those who haven't been and to another trip for those who have. can't wait to ho back .

First the good part there is parking ! Actually the good part is everything. The place is beautiful. Right on the water. We had the Focaccia bread and a salad to start both top notch. I had the chicken parmigiana. I feel like this is the best dish to judge an Italian restaurant. It was very good. My daughter had the bronzino I tasted it and it was delicious. Service was on point Prices are not cheap. But not insane either. And the bar area looked nice. If you just come for a cocktail. I would recommend this place

Very romantic atmosphere. The food was very good. I felt it was a little pricey, but all in all the service and the food was very good.
