The Essential Vietnamese Restaurants in Chicago | Eater Chicago

"Edgewater’s beautiful Vietnamese restaurant is inspired by French colonialism. Hanging chandeliers, leather banquettes, white tablecloths, and lush greenery create an air of European sophistication while guests are treated to dishes like claypot catfish, deep fried red snapper, and bánh xèo — Vietnamese stuffed crepes. Online ordering is available here." - Jeffy Mai

beautiful park. The culture was beautiful out there. Humans in their habitat. People walking barefoot in the grass. A pair of siblings riding 245 laps around the park, dragonflies in a flock, children playing soccer, Tio’s and Tia’s sharing a laugh. Truly I would come again.

Best place to soak up the Sun 😎 on a cold day when out stretching your legs. Great place to let your dogs run and have fun. Get out and enjoy your neighborhood.

My Son plays football for his school ( Esmeralda Santiago) and they played the championship game (and won 20-6). Great football field and lots of park to explore. Venders if you need a snack. Bathroom facilities. Came over from Humboldt Park, traffic and drive wasn't bad at all for Chicago! Next time you are in the area stop in and enjoy the day, or just hang out for a while.

Yelp
Located on 58th Street and Kostner near a school, this tranquil park hosts a playground, a baseball field, a tennis court, and a volley ball area. Nearby is the school's popular soccor field. A soaring airplane occasionally drops by. The mornings are full of walkers and joggers in small groups. The late afternoons and early evenings have families using the amenities of the park. Bikers and skate boarders get their exercise too. Most people are respectful by wear masks and keeping their distance. The trees in the park are amazing. Throughout the year the trees provide shade and shelter to the birds and squirrels. In the fall the trees change colors. This is a nice park to visit.

Yelp
The fresh scent of cut grass restores the spirit. Summer begins when they turn on the sprinklers. Stepping from baked hot concrete into the cold wet spray of the basin sends a shock. Running wet, into the sandbox, to make sand shoes. The soft applause of trees when the breezes brush through the leaves. Good Humor ice cream for a quarter. The tang of jet fuel being pumped at Midway. That siren every Tuesday at 10 (or 10:30?) a.m. The smell of fresh oil on the bike chain. The field of green turning yellow with dandelions, then white. Those puffy things got everywhere. Fall and winter were ok too. Ha! Edit: Forgot the Southside pronunciation... Pasture. Let's goda Pasturepark.

Yelp
"Pasteur Park" is one of the parks that is close to the Midway Airport. As a matter of fact, if you continue walking west on the 59th. St. for a block or two, you will end up at the CTA Midway Orange Line station. I don't live near this park, but I came here to check if "vulpix," one of the rarely-caught pokemons, spawned. The park is attached to Pasteur Elementary School. Hence, get your elote or other Mexican snacks of your choice from the street vendor whenever kids are let out. The surrounding neighborhood is very family-oriented. I felt safe while walking around and claiming my gym prestiges. Speaking of the virtual "gym," there are two (2) of them. Thus you Pokemon Go trainers can take a peek and evaluate the difficulty on both. I know playing Pokemon Go may not be everyone's cup of tea, an average-sized tennis court, decent walking paths, and benches at cool, shady spots can be found at Pasteur Park.

Yelp
I love this park for the fact that I can bring my dogs here and have a good workout with them. It's pretty big and spacious and gives you enough to enjoy. Alas, the time I started this review, I couldn't finish it but today I will. This park holds many memories of my chihuahua's and their antics. Well on July 10th, we brought one of our chihuahua's here after he suffered a heart attack. We knew we wouldn't make it to the hospital so we brought him here at 3:14 AM, the time that he expired. You see I had promised him that I would take him to the park in the morning, and I never break a promise. He died in the area that he loved most. Now this park has a lot of space for everyone. You now have a new soccer field for the soccer fans, and this is why we didn't come to this side of the park with the dogs. But you still have the other north side of the park. Its expansive and has a tennis court, childrens playground and baseball diamonds to do your thing if thats what you choose. Over the years we have seen a flux of families with thier pets, and what I really like about this location is that for the most part, families pick up after their pets and this is defintely a plus when it comes to bringing down the rodent population since they have been known to feed off the waste of pets. It is a very clean park and very rarely do you see trash strewn all around like in "other" parks. I take pride in saying that this is one of those parks were although connected to a public school, it is kept up and clean. My dog Petey loved this park, and many knew him here. Although right now I can't come to this park with my other dogs, for now, I will leave a beautful review because he had a beautiful life and this park helped him do that. In memory of Petey.

Yelp
I have a love hate relationship with this park.. These are the reasons why I love this park. It's literally in front of my house so I don't have to drive to it, it's a very big park and you have plenty of space to do exercise, walk your dog, jog, ride your bike, etc... The only downside to this park is the new soccer Field, sometimes The people that come to play soccer leave a lot of garbage, beer bottles, water bottles laying around everywhere and sometimes even diapers... Yuck nasty.... The only reason I say this is because I see it every weekend.. Hope there was something I can do about it..

Yelp
Good place to walk your dog and jog around. But missing a basketball court I mean not everyone interested in playing soccer which is what most of these south side park have as a default.

Yelp
My neighborhood park, which for me has always been an awesome space to take my doggie out for some exercise. There are plenty of mamas power walking, people jogging, and kids playing. Amenities include baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis court and playground - lots of open space, always a nice mix of families and food vendors and it's always pretty clean. It's also right next to a school, so there are always a bunch of kiddies running around.
