"While most Miamians refer to fried green plantains as tostones, South Americans call them patacones. Now, imagine a patacon roughly twelve inches long and six inches wide loaded with choice of protein and toppings like carne asada, chicken, shrimp, melted cheese, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Other menu highlights include Colombian specialties such as the bandeja paisa with beef, white rice, beans, egg, pork rinds, arepa, and sweet plantains." - Stacy A. Moya

This spot is my favorite for delicious food. I visited yesterday and was impressed by the newly remodeled ambiance—it looks fantastic. My go-to dish is the steak or chicken with mushroom sauce, prepared by a chef I adore. The staff, including the owner, are incredibly friendly and down-to-earth. P.S DONT GET ME STARTED ON THEIR DRINKS!! Mango Drink and the Lemonades are EVERYTHING 💜💜💜 Definitely a must visit when in West Kendall

When you want to eat amazing Colombian food besides your mom's cooking; I make the drive all the way to Kendall because their location here compared to the one in Doral area it's sooo much delicious and fresher! I had the Bandeja Paisa with Shredded Beef everything was perfectly cooked with plenty of flavors that take you back to Medellin. It's like eating a Bandeja Paisa in Guatape so go figures. Mandarin Juice was definitely not mandarin juice; it was more like ice with powder mandarin flavor; during the summer is fresh but l if it's not the season for Mandarin just don't sell fake juice! On the other hand, service is always perfect. Super clean establishment. Plenty of parking.

Honestly this place has gone downhill i usto come here every week but now I will never come back . THEY CHARGED ME 6$ for a side of fries and if only had 5 French fries .. ridiculous . Their portion of meat is also ridiculous such a small piece for 20$ … also I ordered a lemonade for my daughter that cost me 7$ and it tasted horrible …. DO NOT COME HERE NOT WORTH IT PAYED 60$ on 2 meals with no soda and it was horrible ….

Google
The limonada de coco is great, but not enough to make me go back. Fish had no flavor. The chicken was only marginally better. The coconut rice tasted like it was made with coca cola--way too sweet. They add in the tip and then present a bill with potential tips. Easy to tip double.

Google
I come here often and i never have a bad experience until today, my order was incorrect 3 times and it was fixed it right away but that’s no the point. Our sever wasn’t with the best attitude when we let him know about our frustration with the situation, thankfully the server named Randy came and talk to us completely understanding and apologizing in behalf of his coworker. Whoever it’s the manager I just want to let you know Randy is doing an amazing job, I know is tough working with people but Randy is doing it great. Randy thank you so much for your help and understanding, hopefully you will our server next time.

Google
It has been a very pleasant experience every time I come to eat here. The food is very diverse, tasty, and the staff offers a great service. Mr. Rosenberg is very professional and ensures all clients have a formidable experience throughout. I truly recommend this place to all my Colombian community and anyone else that is in the hunt for great food and service!

Google
Let me say that I was very disappointed, I had been to this establishment 2 times previously and enjoyed my meal but this time it was not very good. I spent 40$ for lunch you would think you would be getting quality food and service but it was far from it. I ordered bandeja paisa especial and sopa de Costilla. The soup was horrible tasted like raw meat in a bowl of warm water. The bandeja paisa pork rinds where a little off and the steak was tasteless. Service was bad unprofessional I can say the waiters can't take the heat of a few tables . I am sorry to say this I know they work hard. Last but not least they put the tip on the receipt as the total price very deceptive method many people end up tipping twice. I do not blame the waiters or rest of staff this falls on the management, it is obviously a lack of training issue.

Google
Food is usually very good to excellent. The Colombian empanadas with the spicy sauce are some of the best I've tasted in Miami and the delicious thin crispy plantain with the sides is their trademark dish and well worth the visit. Other dishes like the ajiaco (a Colombian stew) and the fish filet covered with coconut milk sauce are solid choices that merit repeat visits to this place. Like many other restaurants, the pandemic and manpower shortages have taken a toll on the quality of service, but everyone seems to be having those problems. The couple of servers working still manage to be friendly and get the job done under the circumstances. So why not a 5-star rating? Well, this restaurant's gratuity policy is confusing at best and borderline deceptive at worst. I mentioned it to the manager long time ago, but the practice hasn't changed, so I assume they do it on purpose. An 18% gratuity is added to the check and listed as a line item on the check. But, when the credit card receipt is presented to the customer, the total including tip is shown but right below it, there's a line to add a "Tip" that's not marked as "Additional Tip". If the customer doesn't pay close attention or forgets that the total already includes 18% tip, you can see how another 15% to 20% can be added to the original tip. The check and credit card receipt should clearly read "Gratuity or Service Included" and the tip line should read "Additional Tip". At the beginning, and even a couple of times when I haven't visited for a while, I've added 20% tip to their checks and no one has ever pointed it out. I can't believe that anyone there would expect a 38% tip and that's why I describe the practice as borderline deceptive. This is a great eating establishment, but owner needs to correct this policy.

Yelp
This place was fantastic. Live music on a Saturday night (performer was amazing). Food: Bandeja Paisa- very good Pineapple salmon- the salmon didn't taste as fresh and quality as I had hoped, but the pineapple dressing it brought with the coconut rice was phenomenal. And that coconut rice was the best! Beverage: coconut lemon-aid-WOW!! My first time trying this- and now I'm hooked. Service: Excellent staff-friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Parking: Plenty of free parking available on a weekend evening (restaurant is located in a shopping plaza)

Yelp
This is an updated review on a previous one already done . Patacon Pisa'o is located in London square Mall located in kendall . We arrived there on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated right away. After being there for about 30 minutes, a lot more customers started to show up . So I advised to get there by 1:00 before the rush starts The service was excellent our waiter was very attentive. He explained to us all the special for that day. The restaurant itself has been renovated since I have last been there. The music was great I was dancing in my seat. But I was also able to have a conversation with my family. I got the special of the day which was salmon with coconut rice , patacons and a side salad. I also had a lemonade which had milk in it . It was absolutely delicious. Overall the food was amazing fresh and well cooked. The service was great I will definitely come back again . If you are ever in the area please stop by .

Yelp
We go bananas for Colombian food! Miami is dominated by Latin food but @pataconpisao is known for their hearty patacones plates. This massive meal is only $20 and it's enough for 2. But we were hungry so we got 2 different kinds plus apps and desserts cause everything they serve is so yummy . So check them out if you're in Doral or Kendall neighborhood. Also plenty of parking and the service is good. What we ordered: Patacón Antioqueño - Fried green plantain topped with rice, beans, ground beef, ground pork rinds, hogao and fried egg Patacón Sierra Nevada Carne - Fried green plantain gratinated with beef mushrooms sauce and mozzarella cheese Camarones Empanizados - Breaded shrimps with green plantains Arepa de Choclo - Sweet corn arepa with melted cheese Brevas con Arequipe y Queso - Figs with dulce de leche and cheese Cuatro Leches - Four Milks Cake

Yelp
Cute spot; very clean; great service! The food was delicious. Ingredients were clean and fresh! I had the steak mushroom and I highly recommend it. My husband had the bandeja paisa especial and he loved it! He said the Chicharrónes was the best he has ever had in a restaurant!

Julie C.

Yelp
So I decided to try there bandeja paisa which I have tried there's soup and it was the bomb the gallina one ok so I was very disappointed the plantains were like smashed and burn and greasy the chicarones were burned and the avocado was rotten I will never buy it there again

Gina D.

Yelp
This is one of my Favorite places to eat Bandeja Paisa, it's like grandma is in the kitchen. Not only is the food great but the service is on point!!! Rosenberg, my go to server, always with a smile, courteous helpful and super nice guy!!! It's nice to know that good service still exists .

Adriana Y.

Yelp
The best bandeja paisa I have eaten in Miami! I have eaten this dish at several Colombian restaurants in Miami, and this one makes the #1 spot. Staff was friendly, chill ambience. Would eat here again!

Divakar P.

Yelp
The food was flavorful and the ambience of this restaurant was very nice. It took a long time for the food to be served but overall the experience was great!

Hotrodrog H.

Yelp
Place is mediocre, not planning to go back! It was like they didn't care we were there!

Sara D.

Yelp
.For starters: Beef Empanadas y Dulce Tentación(maduros con queso). Followed by a shared Patacón with 5 ingredients (Beans, Cheese, Chicharrón, Shrimp, Pink Sauce), and the Fish Special of the day( fish with coconut sauce, rice, salad, and tostones) The Yerbabuena Lemonade was refreshing Brevas with Cheese for dessert The meal was delicious. Service was attentive, although there was only one server for the whole place. The eatery is a small place but with several tables and was getting full.

Yelp
On my trip to Miami, a local recommended this spot and... WOW. Incredible. 5 Stars all the way! The service was incredible. Food... incredible. Portions... INCREDIBLE. Need I say more? Hit up this spot!

Cindy E.

Yelp
Food was delicious!! I had the casuela de mariscos! Jam packed with all types of seafood meat!!! My kids are picky eaters so i stuck with something more casual la the clasic bandeja paisa , they ate it all!

Ephraim M.

Yelp
Another great time their patacón is amazing very overpriced but worth it. Rosalin my server today was fantastic she is a blonde Venezuelan lady that's is extremely service oriented.

Yelp
I was exited today to go back to Patacon Pisao- it had been years since I'd eaten there last and it was always a favorite. When I arrived I found it odd that restaurant was virtually empty during the busy lunch hour, but after I got my food I realized why! Today being Moday, I decided to order one of their "specials" so I ordered the Cazuela de Mariscos (seafood stew). I've had this dish many times in other Colombian restaurants as well as in Cartagena- so I know what it is supposed to taste like. It was awfu! The seafood in the stew was rock hard- like it had been cooked and sitting in the fridge for days before some sauce was finally added to it, warmed up and served to the unsuspecting customer. Needless to say, I wasn't able to eat it. I think I probably wouldn't be writing this review if the lady "managing" the restaurant hadn't passed by our table and asked why I had barely touched my meal. Since she asked, I explained that the: squid, octopus, mussels, fish and even the shrimp were hard- like little rocks! She seemed bothered by my statement and as a result turned around and with a dismissive attitude ignored us until we paid our bill and left. Sooo .... aside from being served a meal that was totally inedible, I also had to deal with a totally unprofessional manager. I'm recinding all of the recommendations I've made in the past and never going back to this place!

Adriana F.

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the last time I ordered from this place. I ask for a bandeja paisa, the ground beef came with a blue elastic inside! Disgusting!!!! And the pork came all burnt. I paid $17 for that type of service? I also ordered a "baby churrasco" and that's was not churrasco whatsoever. That cost $20!!!!! I wish I could get my money back bc I didn't eat the beef and pork! Never again.

Francis E.

Yelp
Delightfully Pleasant Staff; Deliciously Tasting Food; Superb Service; Triple AAA+++ All The Way!!!

Yelp
Glad to have a Colombian restaurant that is close to my house. The restaurant is located in London square, the same shipping plaza as Costco. I've eaten here a handful of times and I must say that their food is good and they're pretty consistent. This place is usually packed and almost every time I go, they always run out of their sancocho ;(. But not yesterday! It's probably best to go there earlier in the day to not miss out on their soups. I usually order their bandeja paisa especial when sancocho isn't an option and boyfriend loves their patacon. Make sure to order their pineapple with mint drink- it's super delicious! 4 stars because it takes a while to be seated sometimes and it can get difficult to flag down a waiter.

Astrid V.

Yelp
Best Colombian restaurant in Kendall FL The food always taste fresh and cooked at the moment. My favorite dishes are empanadas, their Sunday soup, picada, mint coconut shake, patacón with chicken and pineapple sauce, ajiaco! Great service always smiling and so attentive. I visited once in a Friday night and the had a Colombian duet singing. I definitely recommend this place

Yvette C.

Yelp
Food is good :) their drink is amazing!!! The service is a little slow sometimes but not enough to complain about.

Kristin S.

Yelp
I've been here various time and each time it's been great. This last time I had the Sierra Nevada patacon with chicken. Since I'm not a big fan of mushrooms I substituted the mushroom sauce with pineapple sauce that had pieces of pineapple, and it was sooo good! I also had the passion fruit juice which I liked. (Im a fan of passion fruit juice)

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Service was OK, we didn't have to wait too long to be taken care of, and our food was delivered in a timely manner. Food overall was OK as well. There wasn't anything special about what we ordered- Bandeja Paisa and the Patacon. We expected a little more depth in flavor and felt it was a bit more on the bland side. Perhaps it was just an off day for the chef, when we visited. Prices are slightly high, but considering the location, it's probably reflective of the higher rent costs. Overall, not a bad place to visit, but not a place we would visit often.

Yvelin R.

Yelp
Had been meaning to try this place so when my friend suggested it today I couldn't say no, even though I wasn't hungry at all! Place is medium sized, very clean and good customer service. I seriously considered a Patacón (giant fried green plantain) but ended up ordered a Bandeja Paisa. Shredded beef, rice, beans, fried egg, tostones, arepa, chicharrones and avocado. My friends' dishes (different Patacones lol) looked splendid and they all liked them. For dessert we went with tres leches for the mommies (could have done without) and brownie and ice cream for the kids (they were licking their plates so I'm guessing it was good). A lot to try here so I'll definitely be back.

Adele R.

Yelp
Sooooooo I am very new to Colombian food and this was just the bomb! I mean the service was great, very attentive. I liked that especially because we were within an hour of closing time and they still took care of us excellently. The drinks...if you are a natural juice fan, you've found your spot here. So damn fresh! I had the lemonade and it was so frothy and perfect. You rarely see lemonade served like that and you can tell it was fresh. It wasn't too sweet or too tart, it was the perfect balance. My sister and father ordered the lemonade mixed with coconut....they said that was to die for and honestly a lot of the tables nearby ordered that drink as well. It comes in a very distinctive glass so you can't miss it. I ordered chicharrón for the appetizer, so good. They have a hot sauce they bring with it...you can smell that sauce as soon as they bring it out so if you like spicy, come take a bite! It was hot BuT flavorful so you almost cannot get enough despite the burning sensation in your mouth. To eat, I ordered the Patacon salteado! Sautéed chicken, cheese, peppers, onions, guacamole, red beans. Honestly...beyond amazing. It was my first time having a Patacon and I want more! Also, it's huge and I mean huge so this is definitely enough for 2 or even 3 people to share. I definitely recommend this spot and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
Awesome homemade dishes and they have the best fish soup. One my favorite drink maracuya with pineapple.

Andrea H.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to go to if I am feeling a quick parrilla for lunch or dinner. I have visited several times before and tried other dishes, but I didnt enjoy them as much as the parrilla. It brings a little bit of everything. We always substitute the chicharron for more steak or chicken as a personal preference. It doesn't look like much in the picture, but between two people, we can never finish it all. And for $26, its a very good price. Definitely try a drink from here too, they have many good ones! I always go for the piña with yerba buena or limonada con yerba buena. We came for the first time on a Friday night and they had a a live duo playing Colombian music. Its a nice touch for authenticity.

Yelp
As a person of Colombian heritage, it is always welcoming to find a good, authentic Colombian restaurant in the sea of Latin/Cuban restaurants in Miami-Dade County. Patacon Pisa'o in London Square has stood out since It's opening. There is a reason why you cannot find parking around this restaurant on the weekends-- it gets full, especially after the early "Church" hours! Located in the bustling and sometimes frustrating-to-drive-in strip mall of London Square, Patacon serves as an anchor of Colombian food that West Kendall was missing, aside from the occasional bakery and Ma & Pa restaurant. My most recent visit was on Saturday, 02/21/2020 for my cousin's baby shower. As a party, we ordered a large plate of empanadas and fried cheese as appetizers (ordered by someone else in the party, so I didn't see the total price). Both appetizers were great, as they should be at any respectable, Colombian establishment. To accompany our appetizers, my girlfriend and I ordered "Colombiana soda" (about $2 each), something we were desperately craving! For the main event, we both ordered from the "Build your own Patacon" menu. We both chose the four topping Patacons (about $14 I believe), and the plates were massive and filling! My Patacon had beef, chicharron, guacamole, and beans. My girlfriend had a very similar Patacon, but substituted the guacamole for cheese. My mom loved their freshly made jugo de guanabana, so I will be opting for a freshly squeezed juice instead of canned soda next time. Both Patacons tasted great and were filling, presenting great value for the $$$ in my mind. Next time, I might try one of the signature Patacons they have on their menu, or go for the bandeja paisa, another Colombian staple. Overall, my girlfriend and I were certainly pleased with our most recent visit to Patacon Pisa'o. But, what earns this restaurant a five star review instead of four, is that my relatives who were in town for the baby shower, visiting from Cali, Colombia, also absolutely loved this place. Any Colombian restaurant that satisfies tourists from Colombia, who only speak Spanish (not "Americanized" in any way) is a definite winner in my book. Looking forward to our next visit!

Gloria E.

Yelp
We didn't really like the way the Patacon was made. It was cold and way too fried. The empanadas were good as well the drink. Not really sure if the the cook changed because my friend said that it used to be way better.

Kat R.

Yelp
Both times I've ordered the food has been tasty. I got a bandeja paisa and Colombian empanada. We also got the plantains with the melted cheese.

German C.

Yelp
Dio mío bendito!! Que savrosura! I mean the Patacon with the beans, the pineapple, the mushroom sauce and ofcourse pibk sauce are so delicious I had a mini foodgams!! Then I got the mango biche lemonade and my girl got the coconut lemonade and we climaxed!! Highly recommend it!!

Beatriz L.

Yelp
Was craving some Colombian food and decided to come check it out with a friend for lunch. I ordered one of the daily specials which was platano soup and it was so yummy!! It didn't feel greasy and had plenty of meat and platano. I also had their grilled chicken breast, salad and for an extra $1.50 I ordered coconut rice. What a treat that rice was and is worth the extra. There tostones and patacon are also soooooo good!! They have so many to choice from my friend ordered one with just a patacon and fresh tomato salsa she was raving about how it was blessing her soul lol!! I felt like I needed more time with the menu and took one home. I can't wait to come back and really get my colombian grub on. This place is located at a busy shopping center but parking is available at all times.

Ericka G.

Yelp
Come on,when you see the sign of this restaurant don't you think of the song?! I did and have been wanting to stop by for so long. Well the day finally came when we felt for some new lunch excitement in our lives. Beatriz L and I came here for lunch and we're pleasantly satisfied. I had seen the pictures and read reviews on Yelp and I wanted to try so many things I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack but no fear. I decided I would need to definitely come back and fulfill my need of creating my own patacon but for now I just wanted something small and delish. I ordered a side order of tostones with creole sauce and chicharones (fried pork chunks) it was a perfect portion . There were 4 tostones in the order and they came out hot, nice, and flat. I only had to put just a touch of salt as the creole sauce was divine and had so much flavor it really didn't need any salt. I have to mention this sauce is so good I can put it on any meat, poultry, carb, I mean anything. Flavor is robust and just did it for me. The fried pork went perfectly with the tostones and was the perfect portion. My friend had a platano soup she loved and a meal but I was so fixated on my own food I just focused at the task at hand, chowing down on my food. It was dead silent as we both just sat there chewing, ha ha. Have to mention this restaurants walls are decorated in traditional Colombian art and native pictures. The restaurant is very clean and sleek. We enjoyed every minute of our lunch hour and can't wait to come back for more!

Jose A.

Yelp
Although I have been a patron of this restaurant at both locations and have had good food and experience in the past. Today I was totally disappointed with the food and lack customer service. I ordered a patacón llanero and it was terrible !!!! The patacón was paper thin and burnt and the chicken was undercooked . Worse yet when I brought it up to the waiter .... His only response was to say he was sorry and leave me the check and walk away..... !!!!! Once again we find restaurants who have forgotten how to keep customers and then they blame their business failure on the pandemic .... !!!! It went from a Colombian favorite to the bottom of the list .

Zoya A.

Yelp
Delicious food, huge portions. Food came out quick which was nice. But after that the service was slow- I drank my entire water and wanted to order the guava juice, no one came to check up after a while

Natalia F.

Yelp
Good food will never make up for terrible customer service with no accommodations for the people giving them money :) This is not the first time I come in, order food and stand in waiting for way longer then needed. Especially for what was being ordered. TWO WAITERS ASKED WHAT I NEEDED. And the food was not prepared. On top of waiting all that time I canceled the order due to the minimum card fee, I was trying to pay before it was done. Ofc he could yell to the back to cancel order at the moment which was done automatically but couldn't get the order processed in the beginning. Which was LITERALLY an empanada and two lulos (empanadas being premade and lulo being a drink) The only accommodation was to purchase more food (which really wasn't needed). Will not be coming back

Jaki G.

Yelp
Great place for comfort food will return to have the Picasso para on platter it's amazing it's humongous and literally 4 can eat

Josue O.

Yelp
3rd time I order food on Uber eats. They say the food is ready for pickup arriving 20 minutes late. Which is not the case, I have to wait another 30 minutes. Manager doesn't know how to manage and care about his clients. No matters, doesn't say excuse me nor I'm sorry. All I heard it is what is. Unacceptable.

Leonardo I.

Yelp
One night I order from DoorDash I discovered these two gems on the Patacon Pisa'o menu. On this particular night I was craving a picada but usually they are like $30-50. But they have for $26.99 and I've been hooked ever since. So I decided to go dine in and satisfy a craving once again, shared it with my girlfriend the carne asada, pollo, papa corilla, yuca Frita with the 2 sauces hit the spot.

Maurizio L.

Yelp
The place isn't bad, but service is mostly geared at making you spend money and too many people pushing you with items on the menu. The food is mediocre and fells/tasted manufactured instead of what one wants from a Colombian place: a home made feel. Grandma is not in the kitchen here.... But the thing that really ticked me off is we asked for the check three times while they insisted on coffee or desserts three times and never brought the check until the third time. Each time a different waiter came. A concerted effort to annoy you. Lastly, when the check came they removed the actual itemized receipt, obviously in the hope we would forget the tip was already included to steal money from you. I paid the standard 18% tip out of unadulterated courtesy, but really wanted to reduce it at least. Needless to say I will not be going back.

Sergio M.

Yelp
Came for a sancocho de costillas on a Thursday , but they only have it on Saturday a Sundays so I ended up having a sopa de cola, soooo good! The place is super nice and cultural, and the service is exceptional , really really good! You also get rice, salad, and maduros!

'Danny S.

Yelp
I think the owners were finally made aware of what horrible service they had that they decided to fix it. And not by hiring extra staff, butt by automatically including the tip on your check! Like everyone mentioned, they literally have one stuck up waitress trying to handle 20 tables. I ordered my drinks and never saw them. Had to ask a busser to get my drinks since the waitress forgot. After I ordered my food I literally never saw the waitress again. A food runner brought the food And I had to ask him for the check. 2 stars because the food was at least good.

Xeniamaria R.

Yelp
Update: To be fair, I did not eat here and cannot comment on the quality of the food. Unfortunately, time has passed and I still feel that slighting new customers is not appropriate way to conduct business. We got there after they said they don't take reservations and the waiter obviously reserved a table for his friend. Then after waiting for 20 minutes a huge party comes in and they seat them before us AGAIN. They don't respect their own rules and there's no guarantee you'll be seated if the staffs friends decide they want to eat there at the same time as you. Will not be back to this joke joint

Ratchel D.

Yelp
I love love love Colombian food, so was excited to try this place. The restaurant is small and nicely decorated. Pretty clean too. Service was just way off. My party consisted of 4 adults and 4 toddlers. We ordered the food which took quite a while, naturally, the kids begun to get antsy since they had finished a gym class and it was dinner time. They were getting pretty rowdy so in efforts of them not disturbing other patrons, I asked the waiter for some white sheets of paper for them to draw since I had crayons in my purse. The waiter then said "oh you want some coloring pages?". I don't understand why if you have the tools available, you don't provide them at first chance. There were plenty of chances as water spilled, waiter had to be called over a few times for questions, etc. Anyway, once the kids were entertained, the food finally arrived. Food: I will say, everything tasted great. I had the patacon with 4 sides: mushrooms (amazing), shrimp (tasty), chicharron (very good), rice (small small small). The issue was the portions. When I say the portions were small, they were minuscule, my side of shrimp had 4 shrimps. I threw in the sides on my patacon and patacon looked like there was nothing on it. I got full mainly on the patacon, since that was very large. They definitely need to work on their portions for sides. Dessert was a 3 leche. It was ok. Nothing stood out. The check came all in one, despite us asking for split. We re-requested split and I ended up being charged for friends dessert. I am totally ok with paying for that - it's just a matter of having had a waiter who was pretty absent and didn't remember who ordered what. I would return for the bandeja Paisa if in area since that looked pretty good. Hopefully service will improve.

Yelp
Service is very good and so is the food. One of the best things they have on the menu are their empanadas. You cannot leave without trying one.

Yelp
I finally tried the Patacon at Patacon Pisa'o! I always go to the Doral location because it's next to my house but I was in Kendall on Saturday and was craving good Latin food and dropped by. Omg how delicious! Not salty at all, very well seasoned shredded beef and the crunchiness of the actual Patacon was perfection on its own! Will definitely look forward to ordering that again (after shedding a few on pounds!) - sorry guys, no picture this time! :-( Remember to tip your servers, folks! @francescaMusica

Yelp
Definitely authentic Colombian food. From the natural juices to the bandeja paisa. I ordered a blackberry juice and it was exquisite, I've previously had the mango juice and they're all pretty much amazing. The bandeja paisa with steak costs $13.99 and it includes and arepa, chicharrón, rice, beans, plantains, and a fried egg. It's a good deal! I wouldn't give this restaurant 5 stars only because of the wait to get my food! The people I dined in with got their food about 15 minutes after we ordered, but it took almost 25 minutes for me to get my bandeja paisa.. wayyy too long. If you go but aren't too hungry, you'll survive! Our waitress was very nice and her service was exceptional, though. I'd come back for sure!

Yelp
I will admit that I have no experience with Colombian food, but if this place is truly authentic and representative of Colombian food, then it's safe to say that Colombian food is tasty. Located near the Tamiami Executive Airport, as well as the West Kendall Lexus and Toyota dealership, I came here due to its convenience to the service department, while I was getting maintenance on my vehicle. As someone else mentioned, being greeted upon arrival took quite some time. My friend and I stood around waiting for someone to approach us. The place was full, and I guess the service suffered somewhat, due to that. Finally, we were seated and scanned the menu. I was not in the mood for a patacon, despite being the restaurant's namesake, and opted for something else, as did my friend. I ordered the Pollo Criollo, while he got the Bistec a Caballo (and no, it's not horse meat, as you may think). These dishes came with a side salad, maduros, and white rice. Although our waiter was nice, he wasn't too attentive, but it's not due to sitting around or chatting. He was overwhelmed and was speed walking from table to table, even jogging at times. We both enjoyed our meal. It was well-seasoned, tasty, and not too heavy. At the same time, it was filling. I loved the pikliz-like relish on the table (sorry, I know the Haitian name for it, but not the Colombian name for it), and put it all over my meal to make it super spicy. My chicken was moist, tender, and tasty, but I just love spicy food and if hot sauce is available, I will make use for it. You may opt to not use the pikliz and may find it too hot for your taste. Unfortunately, getting refills on our drinks was something that required patience. Getting the bill at the end of our meal was even worse. I think we waited 10 minutes, though we felt bad for the waiter being made to run around like that -- I even think I saw sweat beading up on his face from this workout. Considering how busy this place gets, I feel they ought to hire more wait staff. I don't know if they just happened to be short-staffed that day, but my friend and I were in a rush to get to the Wings Over Miami Museum and we lost a lot of time here. Though we both enjoyed our meal (and I'd love to try the patacon next time), if the service is going to be that slow, it may prevent us from coming, as we like to eat and then move on to our plans without spending all afternoon being held up at a restaurant. This is the reason I opted for a 3-star rating, versus a 4-star rating.

Yelp
I ordered an Oxtail Soup (Sancocho De Cola), paid almost $14. I don't mind the price if it was WORTH IT. I've ordered the same soup from Masitas and Rinconcito De Alex and I don't mind paying the $14 as the soup is always delicious and the meat falls off the bone. But I won't be coming here again. The soup did not feel fresh! Worse of all when I pulled the ONE piece of oxtail it was ROCK HARD and full of fat! I ended up throwing more than half of it away as the plantain in the soup also has a weird color. What a disappointment, I gave it 2 stars because the restaurant seems clean (I ordered to go). I hate to judge on just one experience but first impression is everything. The oxtail was simply inedible.

Yelp
I came here because someone recommended it. First the waitress couldn't wait for me to leave which made the experience terrible every 5 minutes get asking if I wanted a box to go and second which I think is destroying most business in Miami is that without asking me charge 20% of gratuity.
