I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a pineapple ham pizza, but received a cheese pizza instead, despite paying extra. The staff was careless and didn’t bother to check my order properly. I’m very disappointed and won’t be returning.

Google
I can’t believe that this place that has been an institution in my life for almost 55 years has become a crap hole. The pizza is more money now per slice and half the size of what it used to be. I will never be back and it sucks because it’s my favorite pizza and all of Los Angeles and now I have to say it’s my least favorite because of practices succumb to. Really sucks that I get half a slice for $7.14 when I used to get those grateful slice for six dollars and something cents and that made it worthwhile to actually park and come all the way in here for one slice of pizza, which I’ll never do again after 55 years makes them look stupid

Food is o.k. Not exactly New York. Food preparation can vary sometimes. Sometimes not enough sauce on the pizza. Spaghetti sauce can be stingy. Young girl there has nasty take it or leave it attitude. Choose mature order taker.

Google
I discovered this pizza place while visiting the farmers market or the forest. I was tempted to buy pizza after noticing many people doing so. This pizza joint supposedly it was the first to served pizza in LA, so the story goes, and it's a significant one. Why don't you try it then? You can tell the pizzas are freshly prepared and the customer service is excellent. So we placed an order for cheese pizza. It was incredibly tasty, the cheese was applied in a fair quantity, and the crust was thin. I would absolutely return.

12-26-20 ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Awesome Pizza 🤤🤤 Fast and friendly service Thank you very much for such a great pizza Definitely recommending, will be back whenever in this area. P. S. $23,75 for 16” pepperoni, brick oven, charcoal

Google
OMG, the most fantastic New York-style pizza I've ever had -- incredibly fresh-tasting, absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing. You can practically taste the family history infusing its food. This is my new go-to place whenever I'm near Farmer's Market -- a real find!

Google
I ordered a meatball sandwich and they used "one" single small- size meatball for the entire sandwich. Seriously? So, I cancelled my order and bought 2 meatballs for $4 a piece, went to Ralph's, bought a roll, and went home and made a "proper" meatball sandwich. I"ll never go back to Patsy D'Amore's. I get it, their rent is high at the Farmer's Market. So, charge a dollar more and make a real sandwich. One little meatball for a whole sandwich? Pla-leeze.

Google
Decent food and customer service. The crust on the pizza I got was a little burnt, and they don't give water cups. Those are my only complaints.

Nicoals V.

Yelp
Best pizza i've had service was impeccable! Great environment to enjoy your food. i'm sitting right here after devouring my delicious pizza. I couldn't help myself, but to keep grabbing another slice would recommend.

Dont Worry A.

Yelp
I had a classic cheese pizza on the gluten free rice flower bread and I must say, SPECTACULAR Im very picky when it comes down to gluten free pizzas since I like my breads doughy and overall more of a "full" texture but this pizza really hit the spot. The cashier was really really sweet although I forgot to catch her name The pizza is roughly small but so worth it if eating just alone (my friend and i had 3 slices and were full). I payed around $18 dollars for my meal and was very content, were 100% coming back!! Only downside was that they didn't sell ranch on the side other than that, YUM

Yelp
Went there and got some overpriced pizza but it was affordable for the area. It's delicious pizza. Cute setup and it's in the corner. Great for dates.

Enrique M.

Yelp
$11 for a slice of cheese pizza and a water is outrageous. Nothing special about the service.

Rob A.

Yelp
It is located on the east end inside the Old Farmer's Market (on The Grove side). The market is like a giant food court with a few other shops sprinkled in between. The design and appearance of this pizza spot make it seem finer than it is. The signage and colors are excellent right down to the font type used. They also have a nice open oven with a beautiful eye-catching flame. The pizza served whole or by the slice is good for what it is and where you are. It's fresh, satisfying, and gets an A-okay. I love pizza so it's great for a quick bite to eat while window shopping. The area especially on the weekends is usually very crowded with people eating all the types of food offered in the maze of booths. There are some chairs and tables just opposite the ordering counter or if full, you can walk and find a seat close by. Service while ordering is fine and friendly.

Yelp
I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a pineapple ham pizza to-go, but when I opened the bag, I found a cheese pizza inside. I had paid extra for the pizzas, so I was very upset. The female staff member handled my order carelessly and showed no effort. I wanted to go back and complain right away, but I was already too far to do so. I'm so frustrated that I don't want to go back again.

Mahmut E.

Yelp
If you need something fast in Farmer's Market, I think they are the place to go. Otherwise pizza tasted very mediocre, and service was so so. It's okay if you are in a hurry and need something fast.

Lissi G.

Yelp
If you want soggy pizza and have to wait for almost an hour for one slice of pizza while management is completely incompetent, then this is your place!

Alan S.

Yelp
Pizza was served, cold, and marinara sauce on the ravioli was very watery. I may be mistaken, but it also looks like the portion for ravioli was much smaller than it was not that long ago.

Stacy H.

Yelp
Is the business under new ownership? The pizza hasn't been the same for a few months. My man loved this place for many years and it's not so good anymore. We are sad to write this review as it was our favorite pizza!

Natalya D.

Yelp
This spot is in the middle of the farmers market at the grove. I liked that we can see the pizza making happening in the back ground. The pizza was a bit greasy for me, but the flavors were great. Seating is first come first serve for all the restaurants in the location and it's all very casual. If you're looking for quick service and enjoy pizza, it's a good try!

Megan C.

Yelp
Pizza was burned black on crust and doughy up top / oven is running too hot. The taste was that of Costco pizza with a hefty almost $6 per slice of pepperoni with barely any cheese. Quick service though and nice staff.

Kris T.

Yelp
Grabbed 2 slices of pep this past weekend. Solid slices, nothing life changing. $13 & some change feels little too expensive tho.

Ernesto A.

Yelp
I had to give it another try and still disappointed idk how it's still going. Pretty bland no flavor not sure I will go again

Stanley P.

Yelp
Today we decided to stop by the original farmer's market. We walked around for a bit and honestly it's a little overwhelming because they have so many choices and there's so many people everywhere! We enjoy a good slice of pizza and this seemed like the safest choice. &The pepperoni pizza was really good and they were a pretty decent size. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a quick bite and are overwhelmed with everything going on at the farmers market lol

Carly J.

Yelp
Patsy D'Amore's Pizza is the one. If you're looking for a place with great pizza and great people, this has both of those things and more. I've had the pizza and it's scrumptious and my most recent encounter with Marco was simply delightful. The location in the market is great for people watching as well as enjoying your food. I know there's many places to consider at the farmer's market but I would double back to this one for sure. I can't wait to come back!

Marlena M.

Yelp
I've been a local coming to the Farmer's Market for 15yrs. My mother was in town and I brought her here. She ordered the caesar salad and it was the saddest excuse for food there is. The "chicken" was processed and looked worse than what you'd get out of a can. There were 4 pieces of that with a plate of wilted lettuce and Parmesan cheese that comes out of packets. It was $15 and it was appalling. This place should be ashamed of themselves for this highway robbery. Save your money and go to Trader Joe's across the street for a salad that doesn't resemble garbage. My mother deserves a refund. She was thoroughly taken advantage of.

M C.

Yelp
Wow I was skeptical at first, and wanted to order pizza but after seeing a meat lasagna go by and talking to the manager Marco, I was recommended the lasagna. It was so authentic and delicious....I savored every bite. And now I've been coming on a regular basis, their pizza crust is one of the best!Service was also spot on!

Vito K.

Yelp
Once again, not going to pull the New York card nor the Italian American card. But this pizza is terrible! No flavor at all from the sauce and dough standpoint. Friendly customer service from Mark, fellow East Coast gentleman from Boston. I'm willing and curious to try something elegant from this place but other than that I do not recommend their pizza nor will I be back for it.

Mish R.

Yelp
The pizza wasn't bad, albeit pretty cold. However, the 2-star rating is attributed to the horrible customer service I received over the weekend. I'm not sure if the employee's name is Rosie or something similar. I think that's what I saw on her apron. She was very unpleasant and worked extremely slow. It was apparent that she did not want to be at work or interacting with patrons, despite her very festive holiday outfit. When my friend asked her for a spoon, she ignored him and when he asked again she said "I heard you the first time."

Michael C.

Yelp
The Best pizza ever. Stop here whenever we are in town. Definitely delicious pizza pand pasta's

Mike M.

Yelp
Farmers Market brings back old memories to me, when as a family we would go there for a Saturday outing once in a while. I had a meatball sandwich from here. I never knew the history of Patsy D'Amores pizza concession here. This area of Farmers market has most of the eateries, like a first generation food court from the 1940's! If you're in Los Angeles and want to see a lot of Los Angeles heritage condensed into one property, put Farmers Market on your to-do list. When most properties are torn down and rebuilt after 40 years, Farmers Market has stood the test of time as a nostalgic icon back in time in the City of Los Angeles.

Yelp
Being from New York this place is one of those pizza joints that tastes almost close to New York pizza. I mean it was pretty good. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and got two meatballs to go. The pizza was really good, that I wish I just got a whole pie. The meatballs me and my wife ate later which we thought was fantastic. The customer service was less to be desired. They were friendly but what's annoying is tending to another customer while tending to me and having me wait. The cashier was ringing me up and told the lady who was getting the slice of pizza but all of a sudden some lady walked up yelling "do you put eggs in your pizza dough" and something about how severely allergic they are. And all because of this situation the lady stopped getting my pizza and asking others if they use eggs or not. So I now had to wait to pay and get my food. Instead of the lady who was supposed to be getting my order simply telling the rude customer that she will be right with her after she finishes up with me.

Alexandra L.

Yelp
Meatball smaller than before. But overall, a lot of food for $13. Just some nice simple spaghetti and meatball.

Sergio C.

Yelp
Bad. Worst pasta ever. Pizza was not even warm, I've had better elementary cafeteria pizza.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Nostalgic place at the Farmer's Market. My dad used to bring home whole 16" pepperoni, sausage and cheese pizza. It's still the same. Plenty of parking and lots of stalls of eatery around

Henry R.

Yelp
Still waiting on my order which was well over 1 and a half ago and live 1 minute away. Never ordering again. Oh so now it's finally arrived and of course cold. I paid $2.75 extra for tomato topping and this is what I got. Little microscopic chopped up scarce pieces of tomato. Usually when you request tomato as a topping on a pizza it means slices. Ripoff.

Doug L.

Yelp
Pizza is super mid. Customer service is non existent. I wish I didn't choose this spot in a place where so much food looked so good.

Evelyn G.

Yelp
2 stars because it's not inedible, just mediocre. We ordered 2 calzones, a pepperoni and a sausage one. Both were lacking in protein and mozzarella and were 75% ricotta cheese. So, really good if you REALLY like ricotta, I guess. I've been here before and tried the sausage lasagna, which was fine. I would rate it a 3/5, maybe. Also, I'm from South Central. I can deal with a little attitude if the food is at least worth it, but at this location the food is not definitely not worthy of the attitude the woman at the counter had. Sorry we didn't know the different type of wack a** calzones you have

George S.

Yelp
It look good. I ordered slice of pepperoni I asked if they can add jalapeños. They said yes for extra charge. I also got a Cesar salad. When I got the pizza slice the Jalapa nos ware not cooked with it they ware straight out the can. I would not recommend the Cesar salad with no cheese. Hope they get there shit together. By the way the lady was really rude too.

Jason F.

Yelp
Rudest and most unfriendliest service ever. Food was terrible with no taste and not even hot. Meatball had no flavor. Skip this place they call a restaurant.

Chris C.

Yelp
Meh at best. Pizza slice had limited flavor. Wish I had gone for some tacos. Reviews of this place are overrated

Jorem O.

Yelp
Pizzas good not the best Spaghettis ok not the best If your craving Italian it's enough to get you through it.

Kat D.

Yelp
I NEVER write reviews but my goodness.. FIX THAT ATTITUDE OK food SHIT service. I didn't walk away simply bc my dad wanted to eat here.Hispanic spanish speaking Girl (didnt get her name) behind the register had a NASTY attitude. Rolled her eyes at my dad when handing over his food; and was annoyed when asked to see what sizes were available for soups. Kept telling everybody that the wait time was 30 min in hopes they'd turn away which half the people approaching did. Maybe it was to have more time to be texring. It took less than 20 min for my dad to get his food... Took everything in me not to confront her out of respect for my father but I wanted to badly tell her theres SO many other jobs and she doesnt have to be there treating everybody like shit if it clearly makes her miserable.

Jayme T.

Yelp
Unfortunately this place was a miss for me. Our table grabbed a few slices, cheese, pepperoni, and a margarita. The cheese was not really good at all. I was bummed. I do like the crust but the sauce had no flavor. Like, zero. The pepperoni was ok my hubby said. Nothing spectacular. The margarita was better. It had some flavor but nothing to go out of the way for. So overall, the slice sizes are pretty good, but I probably wouldn't stop here again when there are so many foood options.

Katrina Marie B.

Yelp
Gotta love that crunch on the crust of that delicious Pepperoni pizza a farmer's market staple, and my personal go to for a quick $5 bite!

Ronald C.

Yelp
I had whole wheat spaghetti with meat sauce and two sausages and it was excellent. Recommend it. They also offer whole wheat pizza crust.

_ D.

Yelp
Was super hungry and smelled something delicious from here; it was the meatballs. I got a small plate of sphagetti and two meatballs and omg. I cried to the taste of the seasoning of both foods. It's super delicious and flavorful. I haven't yet tried the pizza, but I will soon now.

Henrik H.

Yelp
If you guys visiting The Grove and want some pizza i will definitely recommend this place we got 16" half cheese and half pepperoni pizza it was delicious the dough was cooked perfectly and taste good ill give this place 9/10 that one point it is because pizza was a little greasy but it was so delicious

Frank P.

Yelp
I was hungry and stopped here for a couple slices before meeting friends for lunch somewhere else. I enjoyed the N.Y. style pie very much. The sauce was delicious, not bitter like some places. The cheese was plentiful. The crust was thin and a little crispy but not burnt. I've had N.Y. pizza at other places that we're nasty burnt. I'm going to return to order the largest pie they have and I'm not sharing. I want to explore and try some other items also. The reason for four stars is for not having fountain drinks or I'd tea. Their drink selection is very limited.

Emilio M.

Yelp
There are literally hundreds of places to eat inside the Farmers Market. If you've ever been here on a weekend you know that its a madhouse filled with locals and tourists and all of them want to eat at the same time as you. Yet in this sea of people and dizzying signage wanting you get your attention and business...somehow Patsy D' Amore's made the cut for our final meal selection. The food is descent and its definitely made fresh just for you. Especially if you're in the mood for a meatball sub. The sub was assembled with plenty of sausage, globs of sauce, cheese and placed in a brick oven for a few minutes. What I got back was a satisfying sub worthy of a repeat visit. It would be nice if their beverage selection was a bit more robust but perhaps they're doing us a favor by not offering so much soda? OVERALL: Im not in a hurry to come back here. As mentioned before there is sooooo much to choose from inside the Farmers Market. However if you need to eat pizza, subs or pasta...,maybe even a salad I say give it a try. BTW there's a great ice cream spot right next to it. Ciao.

Emex 1.

Yelp
Quick review; Good pizza, not legendary. I'm not seeing New York in this pie. It's just thin pizza bro. "But it's big shit Patsy from New York" oh ya? we don't care bro. Cali know food and Cali say this just some reg ass thin crust pizza. Bro. Further analysis. Cheese had little stretch to it, means a lower grade. The dough/crust itself 'ok' on the chew, lil flavor though. Sauce itself was on the sweet side...no balance to it, no tomato brightness or freshness to it. Wish they hit it with some herbs. The over whelming flavor im getting here is salt and grease. Which is not terrible in a slice of pep, but not ideal. I'm actually lean towards 2.5 here, But generous 3 is fine. Nothing to write home slice about :/

Ben H.

Yelp
the best pizza we ever ate, tasty, good service, reasonable price. Highly recommended

Leo C.

Yelp
I'm not the type to complain when they get my order wrong. But damn I really got upset. I went up and ordered and instantly got attitude, I don't know if he was just having a bad or what but I understand we're human. It wasn't until I asked for a box where I got mad. He asked if I'm eating first, if so to come back. I told well imma be eating with my family I want it now. His response was "that's fine". Give me attitude that's fine, but I requested something and I'm a customer, so please give me what I asked for. Well after all that, I figured with the wait and the horrible service, I hoped the food was good... I've had better little Caesars pizza. It was go greasy and just really average. I don't recommend going here. Never has anyone really upset me at a food place before. Thank you for that experience

Jan C.

Yelp
The meatball sandwich here is so disgusting I threw it away while starving. Also it was actually suggested by the cashier.

Penelope C.

Yelp
horrible customer service. middle aged women with reddish hair shows up to work to just to look pretty is very rude. teenage employee boys have no idea what they're doing. everyone just looks lost and obviously hate their job. food is just preheated and unseasoned. don't waste your time there.

Daniel D.

Yelp
This is the best pizza in the area maybe LA. but you need to order a whole pie, don't order slices if you're a pizza lover. Crust is flimsy the sauce and cheese will slip off when it is hot and straight out of the oven. It is a consistent pizza when you get it fresh.

Jeremy K.

Yelp
Growing up in the area, my family and I would come to Farmers Market a couple times a year and this was one place I liked to eat. Went there for lunch and it was so nostalgic. The pizza was okay, as it was luke warm at best.
