"Though the UES location of Patsy’s isn’t as old as the original, it still dishes out a pretty good pie. I stopped by for the old-fashioned margherita, a crispy-thin pizza doused in sweet-and-tangy tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. It’s probably the most “New York” slice of pizza I’ve had since arriving a couple of months ago. If you’re two people, go for the 17-inch (just $24), and if you’re one, I still recommend going for the 17-inch. The leftovers must be delicious — not that I would know." - Eater Staff

Such a great place to get authentic simplistic Italian food. Great music, calm environment. Beautiful decor. The veal parmigiana was amazing. Crispy, great cut, the sauce was delicious. And the star of the show, the fried zucchini and eggplant chips with garlic Greek yogurt dip. Just. Get. It. That’s it just go and eat.

Came up for a MSK Sidney Kimmel appointment. Afterwards we decided to get lunch before returning home to South Jersey. Walked in and were seated right away. Service and food was amazing. Highlight of the trip. I made sure I took home my half of chicken parm sandwich and the two slices of pizza. So, to especially all the MSK alumni out there, if you're hungry before or after appointments/tr, atment Patsy's is a great spot to visit.

Google
Food was amazing. Make sure you get the margherita pizza. Chicken cacciatore was delicious. Calamari, very tender. And they easily accommodated our dairy Allergy. Thank you. We'll be back

Google
It’s a cute little place and waiter was nice but reserved. He looked attentive to others. Food, was horrible. Received a Diet Coke instead of regular coke. Alfredo fettuccine was ehh and the chicken was very hard as if it was 3 days old. Expected better quality from a pizzeria with these prices. I took 2 bites of the food and gave it when the waiter passed, not even a question as to why. I gave 15% tip and honestly it wasn’t even worth it. I’d rather tip something than not at all.

I work at the hospital nearby and decided to stop by today for a bite. This place ended up surprising me, it wasn’t that busy, great quality food and the service was great. Specifically, my server was amazing and he made sure that everything was taken care of very smoothly. Will definitely be returning soon to try more from the menu. Thanks!

Google
I really enjoy coming to this restaurant often especially since the pizza's really good, and it's really cheesy. I always enjoy taking photos of the dishes that I get because I think they look really good how they serve them. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice. And also The Service. So I recommend this place if you're just trying to dine some tasty pizza on a good evening. It's worth every penny, at least, in my opinion.

Google
First timer walking by. Nice large dining area and looked clean. Ordered a large cheese pizza to go. With a ten percent tip the bill was $33. I couldn't wait to try such an expensive pie. Had to drive home first and that took about three hours. My seven year old son devoured four slices in short order! He loved it. I tried a slice heated in the microwave ( yeah, I know, but it had fresh mozzarella so I didn't want to toss it in the oven) and it was good. I suspect that if I ate it hot, at the location, it would be a solid four star pizza. Pretty good but that price is crazy.

Google
Definitely ask for the bread for the table, it comes warm and flaky, still nice and moist inside. Also get the arugula salad with honey...best part of the meal, so fresh and lightly sweet. We also got carbonara and penne Alla vodka with chicken. Carbonara was ok, could be more flavorful. The chicken was just thrown on top of the penne and wasn't visually appetizing. The penne also wasn't anything too special, nothing you couldn't make yourself. If you want to try this place for yourself, get $15 off your first order by booking your table through the Seated App and using my code MARIA1247!

Yelp
Food is AWESOME! We had a pizza and the penne with vodka sauce . Mmmmmm! You met and exceeded my expectations.

Will E.

Yelp
The pizza is always amazing at Pateys. Fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, and perfect crust. The penne vodka was cooked perfectly as well. The vodka sauce tasty and filling. The only reason for the 4 stars----no hot bread with the pasta. That should've been an automatic. But the place was nice, the service was excellent, horrible parking but a nice place to eat.

Yelp
Top 5 pizza in Manhattan. I miss when you were allowed to eat your slices inside. Grab a plain slice and you won't be disappointed but definitely grab two. It's real old school bring cash

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is remoantic and relaxed. It was pretty empty when we came on a Tueaday night at 8pm. They have both interior and outside seating. The service was poor. The waitress came over took our orders and came back one time. I had to go to the bar and ask for another drink, this was after we had made eye contact numerous times she continued to sit at the bar folding napkins. When I got to the bar she did not even move then. we received more attention from the bus boy then we did from the waitress. If you asked me the manager and the waitress have something going in but that's only speculation on my part, lol. The food was very good and enjoyable and has nice flavors the portions were perfect size. We had to ask for bread and never even asked if we wanted cheese on our food. Dessert was very good. The manager came over and did apologize and paid for my glass of wine.

Yelp
We love coming here on our usual Tuesday afternoon! This is the best spot on 1st Avenue to have lunch; right on the corner of 69th street and 1st avenue. Who doesn't like pizza? With a side of salad. Nothing beats it. Their ingredients are fresh and the taste of everything is just delicious. Our server was so patient and made good recommendations for us. We ended up settling on a large old fashion margarita pizza and two insalatas; one mista and one Siciliana. They Definitely have the best pizza, salad and service for lunch in the city!

Chinmay C.

Yelp
We ordered take out from here and the pizza is delicious! They made the pizza pretty fast and were friendly! It is pricey though, so I don't see myself ordering from here a lot, maybe special occasions. The inside looks nice though, pretty lights!

Raul G.

Yelp
Got food delivered. Eggplant Parmesan was really not good. Eggplant was undercooked and tough and flavorless. The garlic bread was just bizarre. And the beet salad was lifeless and flavorless. No go.

Cat C.

Yelp
Conveniently located near MSKCC hospital, we were in the mood for some pizza. There are quite a few Patsy's Pizzeria so their website is Patsyspizzerianyc.com. We wanted a quick dinner so we shared a small Fried Zucchini and Eggplant Chips which was enough for the 3 of us and large Margherita pie. They were all very good! It wasn't busy for late Sunday evening maybe because a lot of residents are returning home from out east. Service was friendly and efficient. It is a quaint neighborhood restaurant. Recommend coming here if you want delicious pizza!

Aleena A.

Yelp
A popular spot for the local hospital. Service was a bit slow for salads but the pizza was hot and fresh. Cappucino was great and the shrimp pasta in white wine sauce was good. Appreciate the serving of shrimp! Music is a little loud in there but overall good for the upper east side.

Marcos L.

Yelp
The pizza was extremely flavorful and filled with lots of mozzarella, I do wish there was some sliced tomato on top but that's just what I'm used to when it comes to a Margherita pizza; the mozzarella sticks were good but I paid like $12 for 3 so I recommend NOT doing that lol, lots of seating and plenty of topping options! Great place to be in and out! Service was quick!

Katia M.

Yelp
RUDE! I ordered a pick up order and yes, I added a tip. Walk in and the "host" says hi, and then I guess that was too much exertion for him as he didn't speak after that. I said I was picking up an order, he hands over the bag silently, and I double check it and inform him a couple of items are missing. Instead of apologizing and being gracious, he hands over my beverage (again, not speaking). I also tell him I had requested a bread roll...he hands over one to me without speaking. The level of rudeness was really shocking.

Jeremy H.

Yelp
Ok! I have not had All of the pizza in New York City but this place nails it. A cozy little corner joint with a little bar in the back. I ordered a personal pie, half plan half pepperoni and a Brooklyn logger and they grand slammed it out of the park. Give me a fuckin pillow and a nap

Emilia R.

Yelp
Every time I come here, I feel the experience is worsening. We were stuck in a booth in the back and then they forgot about us. After I found a waitress and she came to take our order, the food came out pretty quick. We then did not see our waitress again for about twenty minutes. Eventually, when the waitress came back, my grandmother ordered a coffee. She was given a black coffee. We asked for cream. The waitress came back ten minutes later with my fathers third drink and no milk or cream. Super silly but I felt we were ignored for most of the dining experience. Food is just mediocre. Also the entire time we were sitting, a light outside(attached to restaurant) kept turning on and off repeatedly. Super annoying

Diego R.

Yelp
Despite the food still being quite good, the service at this place has gone from bad to worse. A few months ago, they completely messed up my order, and today, they made a similar mistake. When I called, they assured me the order had been corrected and was on its way. I called again later, only to be told it was still en route. After waiting for two and a half hours (the restaurant is 10 blocks away), I decided to cancel the order, realizing it wasn't coming. I never received a follow-up call or any explanation, and ended up eating lunch three hours later. No apologies. Nothing! Definitely not a reliable place for delivery!!!

Jessica S.

Yelp
One of the OG pizza places of NYC!! Consistent in quality, service, and taste. We got the 17" margherita pizza and added pepperoni and it was plenty of good for 3 people or 2 super hungry people. The sauce is slightly sweet, the mozzarella is generous and chewy, and the crust is flavorful. Definitely a go-to pizza place in the area.

Melissa D.

Yelp
Excellent customer service, food was great as expected and the ambiance was relaxing. Will certainly be back here.

Just S.

Yelp
This is about their pizza only. Good pizza, taste like they holding an Italian grandma against her will with her passport in the basement while she makes dough & sauce. The plain pizza was great, the ones with toppings were just good. Price is reasonable for the quality & probably the best pizza that side of Manhattan. If you like good pizza, you should def check this spot out & I think they have at least 2 other location.

Robert S.

Yelp
Mhm, what's the difference between Trader Joe's frozen pizza and Patsys Pizza? I'll tell ya the answer - "NOTHING". This pizza tastes EXACTLY like Trader Joe's frozen pizza. Look, I'm no 'Portnoy' but for someone who grew up on CT New Haven Pizza, this was disappointing (given the hype). I get it, this review sounds harsh, but when DAVEY leaves a good review, I TRUST him. Perhaps this may be his most MISLEADING review ever?? - He must have been really high... Needless to say, my expectations were very HIGH and the result was poor - JUST LIKE THE NEW YORK JETS. STAY AWAY!

Flora H.

Yelp
*** 3.5 Stars *** Currently Patsy's has an overall 3.5 star rating and that is totally correct. It is better than "just okay" but it's also not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to or recommend to anyone. What is good about it is that it is a sit down pizza place and there isn't a long wait for a table, and while the pizza is good, this is NYC and it's definitely not able to compete with even Joe's especially when you consider the price. The white pizza was at least interesting. The caesar salad and calamari were basic and forgettable, but did the trick. It worked well for our occasion - we had a group and wanted to be able to sit down and eat pizza, and somewhere in the UWS - but it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to.

Yelp
I work in the area for 19 years now and have been going to patsy's since but as of today my colleagues and I will not return. For the last couple of months it has been very disappointing, from the service to the food. We had to wait almost 15 minutes for the waitress to finally get our order while the place was empty. I always ordered the Baked Ziti it was delicious, but the last couple of times it is not the same, definitely a different recipe. My colleagues had the lunch sandwiches and they said the same., lacked salt among other things. Then we had to wait 20 minutes to get the check while she sat by the bar talking to the manager and we are on a LUNCH BREAK. Today we saw a new manager and the waitress was not there but the food was still a NO.

Andie B.

Yelp
Winter Beer and I came here for a birthday dinner. We heard good things about the restaurant so, we decided to give it a go. When we entered the restaurant, it was pretty much empty and we were able to sit where we wanted. There was no hostess on staff so, we did have to wait a few minutes for our presence to be acknowledged. Our waiter was fun and entertaining when he did stop by to take our orders. However, the service was very non-existent because you had to flag someone down. Even though the place was very empty, no one came to check in on you and you were left to your own devices. WB ordered an old fashioned margherita with pepperoni ($23) and loved it. It had the perfect amount of sauce, flavor, and grease. I ordered the plain old fashioned margherita ($19) and found it to be flavorful and tasty. The sauce was a bit on the sweeter side but, I still found it to be yummy. We ordered a chicken parmigiana($22) to share and we thought the pasta was cooked to perfection. The flavor profile hit all the right notes and was delicious. I believe they used the same sauce in both the pizza and pasta. WB ordered three vodka and club and thought they were okay. I ordered a NY style cheesecake ($8) and Chocolate Mouse cake ($8). They were both tasty without being overly sweet. While the food was tasty, I felt like the prices were a bit high and the service to be lacking at times. However, if i am in the area and craving pizza, I would stop by.

Daniel R.

Yelp
Service was terrible. Ordered 3 pies. Two classic & one buffalo chicken. I guess they were out of chicken and only put buffalo chicken sauce on the pizza. Will never eat at anyone of their locations.

Eric L.

Yelp
I ordered take out from here last week. The take out containers were much different than usual - and the portions for my two dinner entrees were TINY. It appears they put my dinner orders in the containers they use for left over meals that customers take home with them. I was charged the full price for two dinner entrees - and received what amounted to two appetizers. I called the restaurant and the "manager" acknowledged that the containers were different than usual but insisted - over and over - that the portions were the same (because the chef told him so). The "manager" refused to offer a partial discount or any other courtesy. I was told that someone would call me the following day to address the issue but not surprisingly no one reached out. As far as I'm concerned, this place is scamming customers. I am never going back. To follow up - the "manager" from this establishment - "Morgan" - sent me a private message. The message was entirely unhelpful. Just like her colleague, Morgan refused to acknowledge any issue and the continued to make false claims regarding the take out containers. I reiterate - this place is scamming customers. I am never going back.

Michael T.

Yelp
The pizza is outstanding. Nothing is even close. The staff is amazing and the owners are Salt of the Earth.

stephanie w.

Yelp
My favorite pizza is patsy's it's amazingly tasty & always hits!! It's extra spectacular with their pepperoni in my opinion. The late great Frank Sinatra himself professed this was his favorite pizza in the city!! It's a must in my book too don't sleep on it.

Amanda D.

Yelp
Delicious pizza and chicken parm, it was a hit. I took out but the wait staff was very accommodating and kind. Great midtown location. I had an issue with them not having pizza by the slice but I understand that it's family style oriented

Lynette A.

Yelp
I popped in on my way home from the hospital to buy a pie (cut my finger last night, so just hungry and tired at this point). This was a pie to go, because I'm in jeans and a hoodie, obviously not trying to linger or dine-in when I want to be in bed. The owner literally asked the waitress what I was doing there after I ordered... I pay and sit down to wait, so he goes to the back to rush my order in Spanish. The pizza appears a few minutes later and the waitress hands it to me and he quickly says, "Goodbye." I say "gracias" so he'd know I understood (Puerto Rican here, so come on).... Your huge restaurant was dead and only had one customer other than me. This Patsy's SUCKS, but others are great.

Joseph M.

Yelp
Reputations last with the last pizza sold. What was once a joy now needs quality control. The Owner must once again step in and regain control. My visit produced under cooked sauceless carboard. Whatever happenef to coal char. What a shame.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Decent food but overpriced. There are sneaky charges like no free refills on fountain sodas, but waiter asks if you want a refill without a disclaimer that it is not free. Also poor customer service when questioned on the charge. I have never been to a restaurant without free fountain soda refills. Shame as I work in the area and had been coming here for lunch for years. Disappointed and will not be returning due to poor customer service. Stay away

Janie Z.

Yelp
Wow we are so glad we came here. Truly one of the best NY pizzas we've had! The crust was perfect coming out of their coal fired oven - a little bit thicker than the usual thin crust and not soggy at all. Loved that we could make the pizza half and half too, it was truly some of the best.

Cindy Q.

Yelp
Patsy's is our go to for pizza ordering for any mini celebrations in the hospital- employees wise haha. Their pizzas are always delicious and fresh. Delivery is on time. The only downside is the price point. It's a little more expensive than other pizza joints. So when we order from them it's always a treat to ourselves. Yumm!

Daniel G.

Yelp
Either I have low pizza standards (entirely possible as someone new to NYC) or am missing something - because the pizza here is excellent. Have tried it twice and absolutely love it. Sauce is perfect. Mozarella cheese tastes homemade. The pizza has excellent cheese-to-sauce-to-crust ratio. Pizzas don't taste greasy. I've ordered takeout both times - so maybe dine-in is a different story. But the pizzas are awesome.

Cristine S.

Yelp
I am leaving this poor review because their delivery service sucks!! We ordered a pie and it was said that it would arrive at 6:58pm, taking 45 minutes to arrive. I called the restaurant 3 times because it had been an hour. 90 minutes later the pizza arrived cold and soggy. The arugula on the pie was bitter and sour. What's more I paid $40 for this pie with a 20 percent tip! My husband and I eat at Patsy's on a regular basis. I am so disappointed in this delivery service. I am also not happy with having to call 3 times being told it was on its way. The last time the delivery person said he would be there in 5 minutes. I waited 8 called again and the doorbell rang. All I was offered was excuses of a lot of stops. That's not my problem. I paid for a fresh pizza and was delivered crap!!!! Giving this one star is generous. If Patsy's is going to charge top dollar for pizza, it should be delivered with quality. Get rid of this service because it is ruining your fine pizza. As it stands now I will never get a delivery from there again and because of the poor service and response I may not even eat there again!!

M H.

Yelp
Absolutely horrendous experience dining here. Their food wreaked havoc on my stomach, leaving me bedridden with severe diarrhea for days on end. I wouldn't wish this nightmare on my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs!

G v.

Yelp
Had a great experience with my recent delivery. I was in the mood for a calzone and it was DELICIOUS. I had some requests and the restaurant went above and beyond and called me for clarity, which really impressed me. The calzone itself really was top notch. Highly recommend!!

N L.

Yelp
We had a perfectly enjoyable meal here. I had spinach ravioli with pistachio sauce, and my wife had the penne a la greca. We started with a salad mista. Everything was tasty and served at the right temperature. The salad dressing was light and the sauces flavorful. The pistachio sauce could have had some more pistachio in it to truly earn its name. I'm not a big fan of tiramisu, but it was my wife's turn to order a shared dessert. It was incredible. I might be a convert. My only complaint was that there was no non-alcoholic beer. I was told it's hard to get. I find that hard to believe in NYC. The service was pleasant and prompt. The volume and type of music were a bit overwhelming.

Heather A.

Yelp
Yummy!!! Host was a little rude when we told him we didn't have a reservation. He told us to wait a few minutes, came back took us upstairs and there were four empty tables!!! Oh my you're so busy that you can't fit us in? However, the waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered three different pies and they were delicious! Will go again despite rude host.

Marcos G.

Yelp
First stop form the airport, Ripped me off charged 12 dollars for two slices. Plus a bad attitude.

Raphael P.

Yelp
Ordered late night delivery from this spot and really liked it. The key is to add pepperoni to their margherita pizza, it's an amazing combo and their roni cups are superb. The food travelled well and was fairly priced for the quality. Will likely order again from here!

Sarah G.

Yelp
Listen, I've been a Patsy's enthusiast for 15+ years, visiting a different location (one that used to be located near Union Square), and still years later, different location and all the taste is still just as I remembered and it's delicious. The Insalata Siciliana Salad is perfection and that's saying a lot because I'm not a huge fan of ordering a salad. The Pizza is pricey but worth it, especially adding the topping of ricotta to give it a little extra cheese. Another fan favorite for me has always been the penne vodka, it's the right amount of creamy without being over the top heavy. I love that they have individual and family size portions for groups. I've only ordered for takeout at this location but if it's anything like the other Patsys it's inviting, casual and I already know the taste is on point!

Barbara M.

Yelp
I wanted to love everything about this pizzeria especially after I took that first bite of my white pizza. That first bite. That crispy crusted pizza dough. That wonderful blend of ricotta and mozzarella. That mix of spices and the fresh basil. All of that was wonderful. We ordered a small pie 13", $19! What! That's really overpriced. They got the order wrong, even though the waitress was beyond nice and offered to take he pie back. We decided to keep it because we were soooo hungry and didn't want to wait for the pie we actually ordered. Instead we picked off veggies we didn't want to eat. The salad we ordered, $11.50 was drenched in dressing and the tomatoes were not fresh, they were old and mushy. The rolls they served were warm and very good. That helped immediately to take the edge off of our hunger. We arrived midshift as most of the staff were leisurely enjoying a meal in anticipation of the evening rush. So the place only had a few customers. The waitress was friendly and gave us plenty of space and time to enjoy our meal. We appreciated that very much. Seems like we were paying for the legacy of Patsy's since 1933. I real wages, the dollar was probably worth more than. I don't I could eat there regularly at those prices, even though I would enjoy every bite of that pizza.

Jared B.

Yelp
Terrible. Orders food and it never came. The delivery came kept being extended over and over and over. Then i tried calling and the number didn't work. Tried calling again and it rang but no one answered. PASSS ON THIS PLACE.

Sweetdog S.

Yelp
The worst dried and cold pizza I have ever had. An overall unpleasant experience. Ordered a green salad with beets and it was delicious. Hence two stars. Ordered a 18" Margherita Pizza with mushrooms and chicken. The pizza arrived luck warm and got colder by the minute as we were seated by the door. We asked the waitress to please heat it: She said the board of health wouldn't allow it. She should have taken it back and served us another hot pie as she should have done in the first place. No apology. She knew the pizza was cold as the tray was icy!!!!! The sauce was so minimal you needed a magnifying glass to find it and the chicken was dried out and tasteless. Had to request clean plates for the pizza as she expected us to eat off the wet salad plates. Her 'service' needs supervision. On the other hand, the busboy was smiling, attentive and sweet. Overall experience, YUK+.

David P.

Yelp
This is a 1 star review to get the attention of whomever maintains the website and social media. We planned to bring out of town company for authentic NY pizza on a Saturday night. Website says open until midnight. Yelp says open until 10:15pm. Google says open until 11:00. I go over a few minutes before 10:00pm to get the table and order ahead. You guessed it "we're closed." "It says online your open until 10:15" - "everything is put away, we closed early tonight" (sheepish smiles from waiters) Hushed discussions taking place between the manager and waitress counting her money. Manager comes over to talk to me by I have no time - now I need to find somewhere else. Conclusion: learn modern marketing and update your information. Train staff to be more sensitive and role play good customer service eg "I'm so sorry....our kitchen is closed, can we prepare you something cold? Would you like a drink while you're waiting for your friends? Can I give you a free appetizer for your next visit?" Or just "oh, I'm sorry - we messed up your plans, I'll try to find somewhere else that's open now." Bottom line: Delizia, 4 blocks away, open until 2am. Really? With a well known name like Patsy's you should know better, train better and be better. *See photos got screenshots shoeing conflicting times and restaurant closed early.

Kamilla B.

Yelp
Very mediocre pizza. Its overpriced for the quality you receive. Don't recommend. Thin crust+tomato paste+cheap cheese. Kind of hard to ruin pizza yet they managed.

Anant G.

Yelp
I used to go to patsys all the time years ago. While coming back had a lot of nostalgia value and the service was great at this location, the pizza has gone downhill over time. While the prices are still reasonably high the quality is kind of mediocre at this point.

Colm M.

Yelp
Very good thin and crispy pizza. Sauce is very tasty too. Def worth a second pie next time

Stephane P.

Yelp
What is it about the wine list? Why would you have a wine list if when you order a bottle the waiter brings your another , younger and cheaper, maintaining that it is the same , and charging the same prize? Just say you don't have it and that you have something else and be fair about the prize. I came here to have a relaxing time with family and friends, not to argue about the wine! Concerning the pizza, I do recommend the toppings, not worth it otherwise.
