After looking for a new restaurant to try out in Marietta square, I saw the yelp's community reviews on Paul's pot pie and have to give it a try.
So, before you decide to go here, keep in mind that it's only a TO-GO place and you should call about an hour ahead and put your orders in since it takes them about an hour to put the pies in the oven and get it cooked. Or, you can buy them raw and bake it in the oven yourself. I didn't know this before coming here but it's alright. I decided to order two 6' pies--one turkey and one chicken curry. One 6' is $9 so it's pretty reasonable. After waiting an hour for our pies to get cooked, the initial first bites made the entire wait worth it. The pies are very hardy with tons of stuffings. I only finished my pie half way and was already full. I definitely recommend the turkey pot pie if you're craving for a Thanksgiving meal in a pie. The chicken curry was still pretty good, but the seasoning wasn't as spot on as the turkey was. Overall, definitely recommend this place when you're craving for some good southern pot pies. I mean, they specialize in pot pies so they know what's up.
PARKING: Parking could be an issue during peak hours such as during brunch/lunch time and dinner time. But, there's a parking lot area near Starbucks that's for Marietta square shoppers and eaters if you can't find one in the square. Also, this is a TO-GO place so you could stop in and get your orders real quick and then leave.
DECOR: It's a small tiny local and quaint place. The decor is simple. Their menus can be seen on their window before entering and when you do enter, there's a huge menu to your left, near the cashier. The sizes of the pies can be seen on the right side in a fridge.
Overall, great food and service. I'll definitely order from here again when I'm craving for pot pies.
They are also opening up another branch in Kennesaw--also a TO-GO style. I've attached a picture of the new branch below for those who might live closer to the other location.
