I had the most delightful experience at Paul’s. They are warm, welcoming, and helpful. I had walked over with my dog and instead of leaving her outside while I shopped, they invited her in, gave her treats, and helped me find the perfect wine. A great, neighborhood shop!

Paul's Wine and Spirits is one of my favorite local businesses. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable on the products, and the selection is great. I can't say how much I appreciate their service during the pandemic, even with everything going on, they've set up a great system for no contact pick up that keeps everyone safe. Even though I'm in quarantine, me and my liquor cabinet have remained happy!

We went in and discussed our wedding alcohol order with Bashir who was lovely. We appreciated his suggestions and expertise, until Steve, the owner, took over the order. Steve made everything more stressful. He called me multiple times a day even after we told him to communicate with my fiancé about the order. He would pressure us to lock in, telling us things were running out and needed to be done right away. Ultimately we chose a different store with better prices and service. Would not shop here nor recommend.

Have been going to Paul's for years. The Friday night wine tastings are always diverse and interesting. All the wines tasted are of course discounted. There are often Saturday tastings involving spirits or beer. Paul's is best for wine and spirits, with a fair amount of local and regional spirits to choose from. Beer selection is OK. Prices are good and the staff knowledgeable.

If you want to be treated rudely and not be listened to, this is your place. Very poor experience of trying to request a large order for an event. The rep from Paul's did not respect our time or act considerately - calling at all hours of the day, demanding to talk on the phone rather than email, and sending short, rude emails when he did communicate. Customer service was terrible. I would not recommend going here - there are a number of wine & spirit shops right down the road, like Rodman’s, that will treat you with basic respect & decency - pick one of those.

This was a great little hole in the wall. Been going for years. Last day was 02/23/2022. Sorry to see them go.

I was in Bethesda for Thanksgiving Holiday and didn't want to drive far. It doesn't look that good from the outside but the two gentleman at the front counter were incredibly helpful and a bit funny. I didn't ask but one or both appeared to be the owners. I would recommend it.

I was used to some big liquor stores with great stock and selection at low prices, and this place wasn't it. Maybe this it what DC has to offer? Would not go here to stock up, but plenty of options for wine and spirits to hop in and get a gift or some bottles to share. Small beer selection. Prices were 2x what I was used to, but again, maybe standard for the area? Walking distance from Friendship Hgts shopping area. Would go to the suburbs if I wanted to fill my trunk
