This place is a little trek from the nearest non-L subway (L doesn’t count it never works on weekends), but well worth the trek! Silver lining is that if you trek to and from you have well deserved whatever you are getting for all the calories spent! These guys hand out STAINLESS silverware and straws to go with their drinks and food, so thoughtful for the environment! I’m definitely taking them home and re-using. I got the mango passion fruit and vanilla mochi, it’s really really good, nothing like them store bought frozen ones, crash and yummy, just the right amount of tartness to balance out the rich cream flavor. I also got a mango coconut milkshake boba (yes i love mango season), the drink is not as sweet as I would have liked but still yummy on a hot day with a little refreshing tartness. I wish the boba were a little softer and less chewy though, to go with the mochi theme. The pistachio amaretto cherry and chocolate chunk ice cream is to die for, and made me skip the fluffy pancake, since I had gotten way too much food by then. Maybe next time. The packaging is very cute and we were offered permanent stainless cups as present, I have no idea why but gladly accepted them. Everyone loves freebies. Plus, they are the perfect size for summer cocktails.

Definitely try the Strawberry 🍓 Hazelnut 🌰 Mochi and Vanilla Soft Serve! Staff 👨‍🍳 is friendly and welcoming and the service is quick! ⏲️ I wish they had more spots around town! 🏙️

It’s a tiny little place, but you can feel the heart in it—run by someone who truly pays attention to the details. The mochi isn’t the firm, super chewy kind you might expect from traditional Korean or Japanese versions. Instead, it’s creamy, soft, and just really satisfying. I tried five flavors, and honestly, they were all excellent. The ice cream didn’t quite impress me, but that’s not what you come here for anyway—this is a mochi place through and through. If mochi is even remotely your thing, don’t miss this spot. Plus, the care they put into packaging and the little details? Absolutely charming.

Tried Pavlo Mochi during their opening week and was pleasantly surprised by their generosity w swag—left with a stainless steel cup with straw and a holographic tote. The mochi here isn’t the typical Japanese-style; it’s thinner, more delicate, and filled with a light, flavorful cream. I had the Coconut Pineapple and Hazelnut Strawberry—both flavors came through nicely and felt thoughtfully composed. Operations could use some polish, as it’s clear the team is still finding their rhythm, but it’s also part of the charm that i find endearing. They’re clearly putting in genuine effort to make customers feel welcomed and taken care of. I’ll definitely be back to try the Blue Cheese Peach mochi next. Looking forward to seeing how they grow.

This is a very cute shop. Owner said mochi should be eaten within 2 hrs for best quality, so I followed his instructions and at ALL 4 mochi in 1 sitting. Oh boy! I got the coconut pineapple, mango passion fruit vanilla, matcha raspberry and banana milk jam along with yuzu pineapple tea. These mochi are so light, not too sweet, and just devine!

Google
Absolutely the best mochi in New York. This was my second visit, and the quality remains exceptional. We tried the mango, passion fruit & vanilla, strawberry, chocolate & hazelnut, and pistachio & strawberry—each one was outstanding. You can truly tell that each mochi is a labor of love. From the delicate freeze-dried strawberry garnish to the refined compote at the center, every detail reflects the skill and precision of a classically trained chef. These aren’t just sweets—they’re miniature works of art. The packaging is beautiful and thoughtfully designed—perfect for gifting, as a host present, or as a treat for yourself or a party. So much care goes into every element, from the mochi itself to the presentation. Please come support this small business and talented young chef.

Small space with two friendly servers who whip up all the desserts! We loved the hazelnut strawberry mochi, and the mango-coconut boba. The strawberry cream soda was a bit sour for our taste. Decently priced for the food, little to no space to sit.

Seriously some of the best mochi I’ve ever had. The texture is always perfect—soft and chewy without being too sweet—and the flavors are super unique but still really balanced. You can tell everything is made with so much care. It doesn’t taste like the mass-produced stuff at all. It’s fresh, thoughtful, and just really satisfying. Plus, I love that it’s made by a Ukrainian chef, Pavlo — feels special and different in the best way. I always end up buying more than I planned to, and every time I share with friends they’re like “where is this from!?” If you’re even thinking about trying it, just do it. You’ll get it after the first bite.

Yelp
I got the mango and passion fruit mochi and the pistachio and raspberry mochi. So gas, mochi literally melts in your mouth. Mango & passionfruit tastes more refreshing. Pistachio & raspberry more savory and tart.

Yelp
Heard about this place via Instagram and knew I had to make the trip to try this mochi place out. Service is friendly and efficient. The decor is so cute and fun! We got the passionfruit mango, matcha raspberry, banana jam and orange vanilla. I loved both of the passionfruit mango and matcha raspberry, but wish they are firmer, but the flavors are HITTING, both are a bit tart and refreshing while being creamy and sweet as well.

Yelp
Overall, the mochi was good! They had a lot of fun different flavors. I tried the pistachio and mango raspberry. Mango raspberry was my favorite but it was very gooey, almost wish it was a bit colder to keep its consistency. Flavors were overall there! :)

Yelp
Saw this place being reviewed online and decided to try it. Glad I did because the mochi is fresh and service is friendly. The flavors we got were great for the most part. The mango, passion fruit, vanilla one was our favorite, having the right balance of sugar and tart fruit puree. It was followed by the strawberry biscoff, hazelnut, tiramisu, and last was the pistachio. The only complaint we had was the pistachio was a little artificial tasting compared to the rest. The toppings on all of them (except tiramisu) felt a littttttle sweet but I get the desire of wanting to differentiate them and make them stand out.

Yelp
The mochi itself is good. Quite pricey for each item. The store is pretty bare bones and the employees seem a little confused. Mochi itself is pretty thin and the cream is light and flavorful. I got the mango passionfruit and vanilla. Had to take about two bites to get to the fruit compote, which was nice and tart. Overall, if you were a fan of cream, you would love these.

Yelp
The mochi look pretty but is this really mochi? There is no chewiness or bite on the mochi, the mochi itself is super thin, and the inside is a giant swab of cream cheese related items. Not my style but if you are into very cream flavors then sure? Hard to taste the different flavors as well since the cream dominates.

Yelp
Looks unassuming when you walk up to it, but this is Ave B after all... Totally worth it. The raspberry matcha mochi was amazing. So soft, chewy and stretchy. Just melts in your mouth. I did get powdered sugar on me while I was eating it- making me look like I did as much ket as the cashiers on a Wednesday night.

Yelp
Pavlo Mochi is a very underrated mochi and dessert cafe in the East Village serving up some flavor-packed treats. They offer tons of options for mochi flavors, each freshly hand-made daily. We totally devoured the Pistachio & Raspberry, Hazelnut Strawberry Chocolate, Mango Passionfruit & Vanilla, and Banana & Milk Jam mochi. Pavlo Mochi excels at creating unique, balanced flavors that stand out from each other. We especially enjoyed the sweet and fruit centers of the mochi, which add a second layer of flavor to each bite. The drink selection is also a highlight, with super refreshing lemonades and staple coffee options. We loved the bold Espresso Tonic and the light and airy Pineapple & Yuzu Lemonade. This is a must-try spot in Manhattan for dessert-lovers!

Yelp
Best mochi I've ever had. I cannot wait to go back. The flavors are so fresh and the mochi is chewy in all the right ways. Perfect summer treat!
