Pavlo Mochi

The softest, stretchiest, freshest handmade mochi in the East Village! I tried the strawberry jam mochi from Pavlo a while back and couldn’t get over how soft it was. This time I went back to try more flavors and can confirm: every single one hits!! Each mochi is filled with fresh mousse cream or fruit jam. Unlike traditional japanese mochi, which tends to be denser and chewier, theirs has a pillowy, cloud-like wrapper that’s extra stretchy and light. They just dropped a Lunar New Year box ($36) with exclusive Asian-inspired flavors, including 2 strawberry and red bean, 2 matcha, lotus seed and raspberry, and 2 black sesame and blueberry. ＊Mango Passionfruit Vanilla $4.75 * ＊Dubai Chocolate $6.25 ** ＊Rose Prosecco $4.75 *Valentine’s Day Special ＊Strawberry Matcha Latte $6.75 * If I had to pick faves, the dubai chocolate was dangerously rich and addictive, but heavier than the fruity ones so I couldn’t finish in one sitting. Matcha raspberry was a standout too. Elite combo with their strawberry matcha latte. I love the adorable Barbie-pink storefront. It’s so eye-catching and fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. I accidentally dropped my mochi on the floor, and she kindly offered to replace it with another piece.

But I’m a Pavlo! Check out this amazing bakery @pavlo.mochi for some delicious mochi, cream puffs, cookies, and other desserts! The mochi and cream puff were absolutely delicious. The mochi and cream puffs were very authentic, artisanal, and hand crafted. I absolutely loved their mango passion fruit vanilla mochi! It was so good! Their vanilla cream puff also tasted heavenly! I definitely recommend getting their mango passion fruit mochi and vanilla cream puff. The prices were also good, the mochi and cream puffs were around $4.75-$6.25 each. The drinks were also good too, they had matcha, lemonade, and other fun beverages! The decor/aesthetic/and ambience of the bakery was also amazing! The entire bakery was pink themed and it had an amazing dessert smell to it. The bakery had a retro 80s campy theme to it, which I loved. This bakery also reminded me of the aesthetics from the movie, But I’m a cheerleader. Customer service was also really good, the server was really nice and informative and my desserts came out quickly. It also wasn’t too crowded when I went, which is nice. Strawberry matcha was nice just sweet enough and creamy the banana mochi was delicious lots of cream very soft. Service was quick and friendly. Very pink shop with a few tables.

I tried their mochis at Matcha House and enjoyed it so much I decided to stop by their shop in east village! The shop is very clean and cute and the mochi textures are amazing. I haven’t found a similar mochi shop anywhere else in New York. Def a place to check out!

It smells sooooo good inside!!! Great selection of unique mochi flavors and they were so large!!! I tried the dubai chocolate, tiramisu, white chocolate matcha, mango passion fruit vanilla and banana. Friendly staff. I also read about Pavlo Servetnyk, the owner, and his backstory. So incredible…I’m always excited to support Ukrainian owned businesses. Excited to come back try more!! Highly recommend going if you’re ever in New York City.

Very cute shop in the East Village! Great vibes, kind staff, and super fun flavors. Tried the matcha raspberry white chocolate and the banana milk jam and both were so good. The matcha one had so many layers and rich matcha flavor, and the banana milk jam was like eating banana pudding mochi 😋 The mochi itself was super fresh and the perfect thickness to balance with the fillings. Can't wait to come back and try more!

I got the mango and passion fruit mochi and the pistachio and raspberry mochi. So gas, mochi literally melts in your mouth. Mango & passionfruit tastes more refreshing. Pistachio & raspberry more savory and tart.

Heard about this place via Instagram and knew I had to make the trip to try this mochi place out. Service is friendly and efficient. The decor is so cute and fun! We got the passionfruit mango, matcha raspberry, banana jam and orange vanilla. I loved both of the passionfruit mango and matcha raspberry, but wish they are firmer, but the flavors are HITTING, both are a bit tart and refreshing while being creamy and sweet as well.

Overall, the mochi was good! They had a lot of fun different flavors. I tried the pistachio and mango raspberry. Mango raspberry was my favorite but it was very gooey, almost wish it was a bit colder to keep its consistency. Flavors were overall there! :)

Pavlo Mochi offers fresh mochi that is filled with a mousse-like filling - They have fun flavors, such as Banana, Milk & Jam, Apple & Pecan, and Matcha & Raspberry! Saw this place being reviewed online and decided to try it. Glad I did because the mochi is fresh and service is friendly. The flavors we got were great for the most part. The mango, passion fruit, vanilla one was our favorite, having the right balance of sugar and tart fruit puree. It was followed by the strawberry biscoff, hazelnut, tiramisu, and last was the pistachio. The only complaint we had was the pistachio was a little artificial tasting compared to the rest. The toppings on all of them (except tiramisu) felt a littttttle sweet but I get the desire of wanting to differentiate them and make them stand out.

The mochi itself is good. Quite pricey for each item. The store is pretty bare bones and the employees seem a little confused. Mochi itself is pretty thin and the cream is light and flavorful. I got the mango passionfruit and vanilla. Had to take about two bites to get to the fruit compote, which was nice and tart. Overall, if you were a fan of cream, you would love these.

The mochi look pretty but is this really mochi? There is no chewiness or bite on the mochi, the mochi itself is super thin, and the inside is a giant swab of cream cheese related items. Not my style but if you are into very cream flavors then sure? Hard to taste the different flavors as well since the cream dominates.

Looks unassuming when you walk up to it, but this is Ave B after all... Totally worth it. The raspberry matcha mochi was amazing. So soft, chewy and stretchy. Just melts in your mouth. I did get powdered sugar on me while I was eating it- making me look like I did as much ket as the cashiers on a Wednesday night.

Pavlo Mochi is a very underrated mochi and dessert cafe in the East Village serving up some flavor-packed treats. They offer tons of options for mochi flavors, each freshly hand-made daily. We totally devoured the Pistachio & Raspberry, Hazelnut Strawberry Chocolate, Mango Passionfruit & Vanilla, and Banana & Milk Jam mochi. Pavlo Mochi excels at creating unique, balanced flavors that stand out from each other. We especially enjoyed the sweet and fruit centers of the mochi, which add a second layer of flavor to each bite. The drink selection is also a highlight, with super refreshing lemonades and staple coffee options. We loved the bold Espresso Tonic and the light and airy Pineapple & Yuzu Lemonade. This is a must-try spot in Manhattan for dessert-lovers!

Best mochi I've ever had. I cannot wait to go back. The flavors are so fresh and the mochi is chewy in all the right ways. Perfect summer treat!
