Pazzia is amazing! The food is authentic and delicious. From the food, to the ambience, to the service, everything about dining here is truly 5 star experience. If you are looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in San Francisco, this is definitely your spot.

This place has delicious food and the owner (?) I believe the host/waitress is amazing. Repeating for the 2nd year in a row and will continue doing so in the future. The home made pasta was simply delicious. So was the sausage pizza.

Came here after an event and got seated right away! Good: - The rigatoni was nice and chewy, good amount of meat and portion size too - The Burrata salad was delicious, love the cheese - The bread was surprisingly tasty but super simple - Really beautiful interior, and nice staff - The tiramisu here was delicious, not too sweet and good size Bad: - Took a long long time to get our food - Calamari was decent, but not my favorite Overall this place was solid Italian food, very fresh and upscale ambiance.

I recently dined at Pazzia Ristorante Italiano for the second time, and I was just as impressed as I was the first time. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the service is always attentive and friendly. For our meal, we decided to order the special of the night, and it was absolutely delicious. The dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. We also enjoyed a tiramisu for dessert, and it was one of the best I've ever had. Pazzia Ristorante Italiano has an extensive wine list, and we were able to find the perfect wine to complement our meal. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Pazzia Ristorante Italiano, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious Italian meal.

Google
The service was great, and the food was delicious. We weren’t looking for a big fancy restaurant. We were looking for some great food, small mom-pop restaurant with style and being treated like family was great. Also - best meatballs I’ve ever had!

Google
We've been going to Pazzia for date nights for many years. It's a rare gem of a place and is 100% consistent. We are ALWAYS greeted with hugs from Julia and Mossimo and treated like family. The bread and olive oil is literally the best we've ever had and the entire menu is great as are the specials. It's a small, warm and inviting space filled with good energy. The staff do all the little extras that make it special. If Julia thinks you might like a tweak to your dish because she knows what you like, she'll make it special for you. We love it so much and are thankful it's in our neighborhood.

Google
The best thing about the evening was slipping out early and going to Pazzia Restorante Italiano! The Six Draw Bellfuse Show, a massive 3 day event at the Moscone Center was a flop! What a waste of time and energy, ...It was like going to a concert, expecting to see Elvis Presley and ending up with Barney Fife's all Kazoo band with Otis Cambell on lead Kazoo and Floyd the barber on Tambourine. Man-O-Man the the pasta from Pazzia Restorante Italiano was Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆

Google
I began with the fritto misto, there’s better in the city at a cheaper price. The margarita pizza was just a glorified cheese pizza with one leaf of basil in the center. I had to ask for more basil. I also had to ask for parm. My next curiosity is the pasta. People I dined with liked the parpadelli and the rigatoni, I don’t eat pork so that’s me passing their experience to you guys in my review. Julia and Carlos were professional and welcoming.

Yelp
This place is literally a gem! I'm not one to normally leave reviews but I'm in town for a conference and needed a last minute reservation for my coworkers and I. This place has a chill vibe. It is a family restaurant so the owner was literally making my espresso martini. The owners sister took care of us and she was so sweet and accommodating! The food is amazing!! 10/10 I would recommend!

Rebecca F.

Yelp
This place is a a gem! Honestly, I can say that this is some of the best Italian food that I've had in the city! If you like chicken marsala, you must try it here... I would bathe in the sauce if I could! The owner is fantastic and very hands-on with the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. The service is spectacular and the space is very intimate. I absolutely recommend this place! Make sure to make a reservation though... You'll need it!

Yelp
Fantastic Italian eatery that hast to the test of time in SF. Grilled salmon, pizzas, and pastas are always well prepared and tasty. Friendly and welcoming service. Cozy dining area with a back room you can book for larger groups Read signs for street parking.

Yelp
Really good food, miss the grill chicken though Outstanding service Great environment Food was out quickly! Friendly staff The calamari is so delicious, so light and not chewy at all!

Clara L.

Yelp
I LOVE their salmon pasta, ugh. Friendly server, she was so sweet and made me blush with her compliments! Saturday night was not too busy, cozy, and i liked their wine and desserts.

Yelp
Food, service and everything else is awesome. Pazzia needs to be on your radar, regardless if you're a local or a tourist. Cute vibes, super authentic Italian food and be sure not to miss the pizza!!

Sara V.

Yelp
Delicious food. Our party tried a variety of dishes, but my favorite was the vegetable pizza. The bread was delicious, as was the burrata, gnocchi and tiramisu. Service was a little slow, but an enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Justin W.

Yelp
I didn't particularly love my dish (squid ink with pasta and clams) but I did really like the tortellini I tried from a friend. Portion sizes for entrees were a bit smaller than I expected Service was a bit slow (at least 40+ minute wait after being seated for 5) and it was loud in the restaurant so it was hard to hear other guests at our table. The aesthetic ambiance in the restaurant was nice

Ashley W.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service. I definitely want to come back. Came in on a Friday night and got pizza and pasta. I got the pizza with arugula, prosciutto, and mozzarella. The crust was crispy and thin, and the prosciutto and mozzarella worked perfectly together. The pasta was also delicious, we got the meat sauce pasta. The pasta was cooked al dente. It was a lovely night with lovely service, they were incredibly kind. I cannot wait to come back!

Joey T.

Yelp
Super cute and authentic Italian restaurant that's not in little Italy! It's super easy to miss so I posted the signage on the building. We got a pizza and pasta. Pasta was fresh and tasteful. Waitress suggested it and she said it's a little different than bolognese because it's w boar meat. Still pretty good. Fresh bread and olive oil is a must. The pizza could've been better. It was too oily and soggy in the middle.

Riya A.

Yelp
We arrived as a party of 5 on Friday evening and were seated quickly despite a very busy evening for the restaurant. The seating area is in one large room, so you do cozy up a bit with the rest of the patrons and can seek refuge in the constant chatter. We got the Parmesan and bread to start which I'd probably skip on if I were to go again as it wasn't a lot of food or anything particularly special. I got the spaghetti pomodoro which was REALLY good and filling, I thoroughly enjoyed it! We left satisfied.

Donna F.

Yelp
Very traditional Italian flavors and service. Everyone seems to take pride in the food they serve. Very intimate and welcoming atmosphere. Best meal I've had in San Francisco

Akshita G.

Yelp
It is a cute little place with great service! The ambience is cozy. The food is nice, we had the Vegetarian Pizza and the Marinara Spaghetti. They were good. Food could be a bit more flavourful. But I guess authentic Italian needs to be this way. We had a good time all in all

Jessica L.

Yelp
Delicious Italian food in a cute restaurant! It was easy to find street parking right in front, and there are heat lamps if you're sitting at the patio. There are plenty of appetizers and mains to choose from - our favorite dish was the tortellini! There was so much filling inside and tasted wonderful. The portions aren't huge, but for 5 people, 2 pastas, 2 appetizers, and a pizza were enough for us to be comfortably full. The restaurant was pretty crowded, so I definitely recommend making a reservation online. A nice little Italian shop in mission bay that's great for your pasta craving!

Brittany M.

Yelp
This place is quite small. There's an outdoor seating area. I liked the the look & the vibe. We went on 2.14. Not intentionally on V-day. We had an early reservation time. But it quickly filled up, many regulars. It was nice to see the dynamic. We ordered the coccoli - this is just delicious. We've had something similar at Tony's pizza place in North Beach. It's so yummy. We also ordered a Caesar to share. Hubs didn't love it. But I liked it fine I ordered pappardelle w the wild board ragu. My husband got the tagliolini with crab. Very generous portions of crab meat. We had a fun walk back to Davies in the rain. :) We will definitely be back.

Pea N.

Yelp
Food is absolutely amazing, they have an Italian family running the restaurant, they are always welcoming. My personal favorite here is the tortellini and the taglierini pasta paired with their espresso martini.

Eileen C.

Yelp
Solid pizzas and pastas that will satisfy a craving if you're looking for something in SoMa! Funghi e Salsiccia pizza (4.5/5): light tomato sauce with mushroom and sausage and delightful cheese; just wish the crust was chewier and not so crunchy Taglierini Verdi alla Pazzia (spinach tagliatelle with salmon) (5/5): creamy pasta with a good amount of fork-tender salmon; very comforting! Gnudi alla Fiorentina (spinach ricotta dumplings) (4/5): good flavor, but nothing super special; it could be good as an appetizer for share Overall, the service was okay. When we arrived around 5:30 on a weeknight, there was only one table occupied, but they looked a bit dismayed that we did not have a reservation and had to check if we could sit down. It got busier as we started eating, but they did not come to refill the water or ask if we needed anything.

Yelp
Pazzia might be one of my favorite restaurants of all time. It's like a timeless portal in an ever-changing world. The delicious food tastes exactly the same as when I first came here ten years ago, and some of the waiters are even the same too. There's something really comforting about that to me, especially within the experimental landscape of SF's food scene. The food is classic Florentine fare, and it's perfect. Exactly what traditional Tuscan food should be, nothing non si fa or trendy. It's so authentic you can even order in Italian. Here is my basic guide to ordering: -Get the bread. Nonnegotiable. Best in the city, served with an olive oil that has a lovely bite to it. -Caprese: amazing burrata. Eat with bread. -Order off the specials menu. While you can't really go wrong with anything else, you can't beat the specials so don't try. Today there was a tomato salad with anchovies, fettuccine with cream sauce and porcini mushrooms, and a branzino (my favorite fish forever). So so good -If you do order off the regular menu, get a pasta with dough made in house. All the pasta is good but the fresh pasta is worlds better -Don't skip dessert! The wine is good too if you care. My aunt approved. Unfortunately the only alcohol I'm genuinely invested in is makgeolli so I can't give any recommendations. I've eaten a lot of special/celebratory meals here with so many extended family here over the past ten years. The first experience quite literally bordered on sublime: I was 11 and with my parents who had just gotten their bibs for a race and came here to carb load. We shared a saffron pasta on the special menu that might have actually changed my life. I still vividly remember its taste and how I felt eating that meal today. It was my first time eating pasta at an actual Italian restaurant and the catalyst for my passion for food thereafter. So I must extend a very genuine thanks to Pazzia for the first spiritual experience that baptized my life as a foodie. I might be a dramatic writer but I'm not exaggerating at all. One cannot forget to mention the vibes, which are impeccable. I don't know how to explain them in a way that does justice, but it's everything you could hope for. I've never taken a date here, probably because I haven't loved anyone enough to introduce them to their tiramisu, but if I did... Pazzia would be perfect. Had a lovely dinner here tonight along with many in the past and definitely more in the future. It's always such a wonderfully warm and cozy place to tuck into a reliably delicious meal that never fails to satisfy either the pangs of nostalgia nor pasta cravings that strike every so often. Beautiful

Yelp
We came here on a friend's recommendation. We're very happy we did! As soon as we walked in we were met with Giulia( hope I spelled correct). She was very warm, and welcoming, and brought us to our table immediately. The ambience was nice and has a really nice vibe to it. We ordered our food, and it was very, very good. I had the special seafood pasta dish, and my wife had the chicken Marsala. We look forward to coming back!

Domonique C.

Yelp
A Valentine's Day date brought me to this small authentic Italian restaurant. We ate outside which wasn't the best ambiance. The restaurant is located on a busy street with lots of traffic which made it hard to hear my partner throughout the dinner. I don't recommend sitting outside. We started with a caesar salad and bread. The dressing on the salad is more traditional and less creamy than we're used to here but it was good. The bread was served warm with olive oil, tasted great, but was disappointing at $8. I had the lasagna and it was good. It was perfectly crusty adding a little texture to what can often be a heap of soggy noodles. I was glad to see it come out still sizzling. I would definitely recommend it. I would come back again if I could sit inside.

Bridget B.

Yelp
Service was amazing from cordial behavior and recommendations on food. Food was good. The margarita pizza was pretty standard, good but not exceptional. I also got the gnudi alla fiorentina. Not sure how to describe it, but it was super unique and yummy, although a bit greasy too. Would recommend for some standard Italian food in the area.

Adam A.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in there we a super warm greeting, despite being super busy we felt welcomed. Julia is phenomenal and had the best idea and great service. The ingredients were fresh and thoughtful and tasty dishes. We have the Piazza salad and Rigatoni con Salsiccia and had to take the beautiful tiramisu to go. We will definitely come back, highly recommended and I'd suggest a reservation

Lily L.

Yelp
Very casual Italian restaurant that has decent food. The staff members here are very friendly!

Jason X.

Yelp
Decent food, decent drinks, decent vibes. The funghi and salsiccia pizza was probably my favorite dish. Kind service!

Carnie C.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came on a Friday evening and we made a reservation. It wasn't too crowded inside and there was a decent amount of outdoor seating as well. This restaurant was super cozy and the perfect date night! The waitress helped us pick the perfect wine and was super attentive. I highly recommend the pizza, at first it didn't look like anything special but it was delicious! We were only going to eat a slice and take this rest home but we somehow devoured the entire thing. The pasta was Al dente and cooked to perfection! I highly recommend trying this place out! Everything we ordered did not disappoint at all and we will be coming back here for more date nights.

Jenny T.

Yelp
More like 3.5 stars, but rounded up since we were late to our reservation due to the rain and they still sat us. We were seated right after arriving, which was nice. We were originally sat at a table right in front of the door that kept opening (making it very cold). Once a different table opened up, they asked if we were interested in moving. That was much appreciated! Food: We order the bread service to start. You cannot go wrong with bread right? For my entree, I had the Gnudi. It was pretty good. I ate about half of my dish and saved the rest for later. My friends ordered the Pollo 'al Mattone and the Margherita pizza. I tried the potatoes with the chicken and it was good. My friend enjoyed this. I also had a bite of the pizza, and it was also good. Service: Service was a little slow. They were pretty busy and only had a handful of staff working. It did seem like we were forgotten about a few times, possibly from being sat in a corner where several large parties around us. By the time our food was ready, we were all starving. Though that did make everything taste better. TL;DR - good little Italian place though with a little slow service.

Yvonne N.

Yelp
This is a great neighborhood Italian restaurant. Super casual vibe - appropriate for a quick cozy meal or large party of ten. Small selection of wine and beer available. Service is always good. Here is what we ordered: - Clams alle Vongole: fresh clams with al dente linguine - Seafood with spinach pasta: super tasty with the olives and the salmon belly included was moist and fatty - Proscuitto and arugula pizza: thin crusted, light pizza. I would have preferred a little cheese (if there was any) but it was still good

Ayush K.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went to Pazzia for a light dinner around 5:30 p.m. on a weekday. The restaurant was quite busy when we got there. They have outdoor and indor seating area. The traffic was bad when we got there, so we chose indoor dining to avoid being interrupted by heavy foot traffic and loud noises on the street. We ordered the pazzia salad, carpaccio di manzo, and polpette. We also got their tiramisu. Pazzia salad was very underwhelming for the price we paid. The menu does tell you what the dish consists of, but still, when it arrived, it felt a bit disappointing. It had a decent taste for what it's worth. Carpaccio was decent but bland for our liking. I wish it had some salt or pepper or some seasoning on it. It comes with a lemon that you can squeeze on top, but that lemon didn't add much flavor. Meatballs were pretty good. There were 3 meatballs of decent size. Each meatball was light and tender and moist on the inside. The marinara sauce was good, too. Tiramisu was the highlight of the dinner. It was a pretty decent sized slice to split between 2 people. We devoured that in 5 minutes. It was really good with just the right amount of cocoa powder sprinkled on top. The layers were consistent, and all the flavors hit the right spot. The service was good, and our server took good care of us. The restaurant has a contemporary but warm and rustic ambiance with a view of the kitchen. Overall, it was a decent experience.

Leslie T.

Yelp
NYE dinner was fantastic! Service was great for NYE. The clam linguine was delicious, and the clams were not gritty nor over cooked. The tiramisu was my favorite of course, only wished it had a little more lady finger cookies and less of the whip cream or mascarpone cheese. They had only 1 white sauce offered and it didn't have any meat nor meat could be added due to NYE. So a heads up to see the menu before incase someone wants Alfredo or a white sauce pasta.

John G.

Yelp
The food is always amazing. We especially love their pastas but the pizzas are great as well. The fresh bread is so good but filling. The service is always excellent along with a very friendly greeting upon entering. Nice, simple design restaurant.

Zoe Y.

Yelp
Carb Loading. Carb Loading.. Carb Loading... this is such a cute little place in SOMA with supposedly authentic Italian food! the ambiance. the dim lighting. the wine. the carbs. the dessert. sounds like a perfect dinner right? i came here on a rainy thursday night, and it wasn't too crowded. there seems to be another room somewhere in the back too? the service was just fine, and so was the food. the bread is amazing when warm! PLS AT LEAST TRY SOME. BUT DONT LOAD UP. SAVE SOME ROOM FOR DESSERT OR ELSE! the tiramisu! so soft and light. chefs kiss! the entree however, i cannot say the same. this seems to be much more of a red sauce place: the meatball was amazing, and my friend spoke highly of the Pappardelle. But due to personal preference, i do not like red sauce and got Linguine (which is another classic of the place). The clams werent 100% fresh, but wasn't bad. however, the dish was for sure on the heavier and greasier side. I feel like i could drain the dish 5 times and still wouldn't be able to get rid of all the oil,,, overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but there are definitely better and nicer italian options in the city!

Dawn C.

Yelp
Amazing! When I first heard about this place, I couldn't believe there was an Italian place a block away from me that I'd never heard about. but a reliable friend said it was great, so we absolutely had to come try it. Great for a casual weeknight dinner, not super cheap but food was really delicious. And thank you to the hostess who squeezed us in without a reservation! We shared the Coccoli appetizer - I've had this before at Cotogna and the Cotogna version is definitely better. But the fried dough here was very good, prosciutto and cheese are okay. The table next to us got the Fritto Misto and that looked really good, so many try that next time? I personally got the Lasagna - quite good! But maybe a bit pricey for something that is comparable to the one at Italian Homemade Company. I did have a bite of my friend's Tortelloni dish though, and that one was really good! It was a tad salty, but a very delicious mushroom cream sauce.

Mike S.

Yelp
First things first - the service. I came in just after the start of the dinner rush, and , even though I didn't have a reservation, the hostess created space for me. There was a huge party that had been seated, and she specially came to me to make sure my little order got in before the party of twelve. You don't see that kind of service very much anymore, sadly. So, with treatment like that, even if the food sucked, I was already going to recommend this place. I ordered the burrata, and the tortellini di vitello. Truth told, I had been searching Yelp for restaurants near my hotel, saw that on the menu, and decided this was where to go. The burrata was an absolutely huge portion - and delicious. Lovingly drizzled in olive oil and pepper, perfect way to start the meal. Super fresh and creamy; it hardly needed the prosciutto. (Not, of course, that I'll turn it down.) Then the tortelloni came to the plate. An overwhelming aroma of mushrooms accompanied it, the dark, earthy scent flavoring the very air itself. Tender, delicious veal, enveloped in fresh, house-made pasta shells sit semi-submerged in the cream and parmesan sauce. If I am forced to make any complaints, I would say that it could do with just a touch less of the sauce, but it's delicious nonetheless. Not the place to go if you care about calories, but, yes, absolutely worth it if you don't.

Debbie L.

Yelp
I've walked past this place for years and never bothered to try it...but finally decided it was time. I'm glad I did. I had the linguine with clams and it was really good. Good ratio of clams to pasta and very flavorful. I'd definitely want to come back and try other dishes.

Ash J.

Yelp
The pizza is thin crust Italian style and tastes great but the toppings and cheese fell off too easily! The parmesan appetizer is small hard chunks of parmesan cheese with balsamic vinegar drizzled on top which goes quite well together. The bread with olive oil they serve to start is actually really good. The interior is kinda small, with little space between tables and loud atmosphere (this isnt necessarily a bad thing, just FYI). And this kind of atmosphere is pretty reminiscent of restaurants in Italy to be fair. You can usually get a table through OpenTable on the same day easily.

Maggie W.

Yelp
It's pretty good. Went with a few friends for dinner and ordered an app and two pizzas to start, each got an entree and then shared a bottle of Nebbiolo. The food was not bad and I'd go back again, but it wasn't mind blowing. I was disappointed when they recommended the cheese balls as a starter because it literally tasted so boring. Imagine a piece of regular plain bread encompassing a plain white cheese, then fried. Pretty bland given the potential. My tortellini entree was SUPER good and the pizzas were fine around the edge, but soggy in the center. Service was nice, they checked on us a few times, but weren't overbearing. There was a mix of customers so the vibe was nice and mixed too. Some coworkers, some people on dates, etc.

Elaine S.

Yelp
Made reservations for a Saturday night. We ordered the fritto misto, tortelloni and papparddelle. Fritto misto was quite disappointing. The calamari was skinny and thin and lacked any seasoning. Thankfully they had salt and pepper at the table. I would skip. Tortelloni di vitello was gamey and creamy with earthy mushroom flavor. I enjoyed it. Tortellini were folded inconsistently tho. Pappardelle sul Cinghiale also was under salted. First bites were good but couldn't help but feel it was missing something. After adding a sprinkling of salt and pepper the flavors really popped and you can appreciate the red wine, tomatoes and wild boar in the sauce. We finished w tiramisu which was better than I expected. Very creamy yet light. I'd give this place one more try as it's one of the few Italian places in soma. Service was fine but it's clear they're a small business trying to make it work. Opposed to an operationally experienced restaurant. FYI: Upon arriving there was a crazy lady bothering patrons outside and even followed me when i moved to the other side of the patio to avoid her. The hostess came outside to ask her to leave. I felt bad that she has to do this as part of her job but oh well.

Jessie B.

Yelp
If you are in San Fran, strike that; go to San Fran and eat at Pazzia! True authentic, hand made, fresh food. Literally the BEST Italian food I have had in all my travels. The only other way you're going to get this exquisite of Italian food is by going to Italy. Everything, everything is mouth watering! I wish I had three stomachs to keep eating it's that freakin good. I do apologize that I don't have more photos...we ate it before I even thought of pics. But trust, it's an orgasm to your taste buds.

Jannie T.

Yelp
Great neighborhood Italian restaurant to walk from the East Cut neighborhood! The restaurant was starting to get busy when we came in on a Wednesday early evening, but thankfully I made reservations. The food was delicious but service was okay. The hubs has a shaved head and definitely doesn't fit your typical SF techie millionaire look, and apparently moving to this new neighborhood of high rises we don't get the best looks or service sometimes as the bougie people that we live around with (we are paying a high price to live here but sadly are judged by looks). When we left the restaurant, none of the staff nor host bid us a "thank you for coming in" or what not. Definitely not on our high list to come back, and probably spend on an Uber/Lyft to go to North Beach for some fine Italian.

Shianne S.

Yelp
The food is authentic Italian. If you've been to Italy this will take you back. I couldn't get enough of the fresh bread and burrata so when my salmon and spinach came out I could barely eat it! Which was terrible because the salmon and spinach was SO GOOD!!! I could eat that spinach for 3 meals a day. Anyway I couldn't eat it and I couldn't take it so sin of all sins I had to waste it. The owner came to our table to check and she was sincerely trying to make sure I liked the food. What an amazing owner. I reassured her that the food was outstanding and I will be back!

Crig E.

Yelp
Did not feel like the quality of the food matched the price point. Also, service was very uneven, on the verge of inattentive. We sat for about 10 minutes after being seated to place a drink order, and the dining area is only about 12 tables and not full when we sat. Server and host were busily chatting while we sat there. Even after we placed drink orders it took a while and server didn't return to take our food order for another long pause. Meanwhile, seeming regulars were coming in and getting gushed over with long greetings while we waited to place our food orders. This would be fine if we were sitting on a piazza in Trieste, but this is basically a strip mall in SoMA. Food was adequate, but not really special- spinach pasta w salmon was bland, and not much salmon. The salmon entree was better. We added a few heaps of grated parmesan to get some essence of flavor on the pasta dish. Maybe the pizzas are better? We all agreed that had the service been better we might not have been so disappointed, but the combo of middle of the road Italian in a city with some great options, poor service, and value at the price point puts this on the "one and done" list. Allora!

Doug V.

Yelp
Sea bass was incredible. Atmosphere, service and food where all spot on. Looking forward to my next visit

Jenn M.

Yelp
We decided to try this restaurant on a Friday night based on a friend's recommendation, knowing Fridays may be very busy. And a little crazy took a good 15 minutes to get water after seating and bother 15 for someone to take our order for drinks. And much longer to get the glasses, so that was the pattern three out our time. It's not spacious or a place you would go for ab intimate dinner because you're very close to other tables and customers. With not a lot of space, it's loud. Overall the food was good. We would try it again, maybe earlier in the day and not so late on a Friday or Saturday night.

Yelp
I joined a friend for dinner here while in town for a conference. It's a small place both inside and out. We opted for the outdoor patio, which has heat lamps; my friend found the inside quite loud. We started out with the bread basket and parmesan bites. I really enjoyed the bread, but wasn't as enamored with the parmesan bites. To be fair, they are exactly what they say they are, small pieces of parmesan with some drizzled balsamic. I assumed they'd be more like a croquette. In spite of the confusion, it was fine, but could've used more balsamic drizzle. We split the gnudi and vegetariana pizza. If not splitting, I probably would've picked the linguine or gnocchi. The gnudi was good, but it lacked the starchy pasta fix I was looking for. The pizza was quite good, we ate every last bite. Service was friendly, but it was clear they were a bit overwhelmed by the crowd on a weeknight. Overall though, I'd return.

Yelp
Ambiance: 4/5 The space inside is a little tight, which was hard for me to even get up and take off my jacket (probably because I was also sitting next to the wall). The tables and decorations are all very simple like many other classic Italian restaurants Service: 3/5 The servers all have very strong Italian accent which made me feel like I was ordering food in Italy haha. The service was good but it took a long time for the food to be served. Additionally, the restaurant does not have a heater inside and leaves its doors open, so it might be cold in the winter Food: 5/5 If you like traditional Italian food, this is the spot for you. Everything was properly made with no weird twists. I liked the carpaccio, which was extremely soft, and the pappardelle with bolognese. The highlight of the meal was definitely the tiramisu. The cream was smooth but not too sweet and the cake was puffy. Combining with coffee powder on top, the whole dish was perfection

Yelp
An okay Italian spot. We came with no rez and they said they could squeeze us in but then we could never get a server to serve us which was odd. The burrata was probably the blandest burrata I've ever had. My main (pappardelle ragu) was good. My boyfriend got the lasagna and it was way too cheesy, not balanced. Fine if you're in a pinch, but we would not return.

Yelp
Last Friday, my friends and I decided to have dinner at this restaurant because we were at SFMoMA, and it was conveniently located within walking distance. The ambiance of the restaurant itself is pretty nice but welcoming; it doesn't demand too much of its customers, so day-to-day dress is just fine. (You can really go either way, business casual or wear something nice.) The host directed us to read a flyer on the window about San Francisco's recently-passed new mask protocols and then seated us at a table near the front of the restaurant, by a window. To start, we ordered some Negronis, and my friend got the carpaccio (pictured), which isn't my thing, so I didn't try it, but she enjoyed it. From there, we went straight to pasta. This is a refreshingly rather authentic Italian restaurant, not completely American-Italian, like a lot of places these days. That being said, I ordered the lasagne, which came out very hot! The portion was not too big and not too small. (Sorry I forgot to take a picture.) One of my friends got a pesto dish, and that was good also (I couldn't resist trying the sauce; so fresh-tasting). I didn't catch our server's name, but he was very kind and even checked in on us later when the restaurant was closing up as we were waiting for our ride on the sidewalk. Oh, and last but not least, we all loved the bread!

Yelp
First time here. Cute family run place. We started with pazzia salads yum! Then we went onto 2 chicken orders, lasagna and ravioli yum yum. We started with a aperzol spritz, Hugo, dirty martini and old fashioned all delish. This is a small restaurant. Everyone working is very busy trying to appease the customers and doing a good job of it.
