Pass D Jollof Review - Pioneer Square - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Nigerian restaurant quickly went from a takeout-only kitchen to a full service restaurant—and we can see why. Their crackly meatpies alone are worth sitting down to savor, but you'll find other satisfying dishes, too. Tomato-stained jollof rice has kick, smoky ofada stew is loaded with chicken that slides right off the bone, and bouncy mounds of fufu come bundled in Saran wrap like the little gifts they are. The expansive, railroad-style dining room has an early 20th century feel while colorful paintings and a few TVs brighten things up. This Pioneer Square spot may not have the rowdy atmosphere and stocked bar to make it a game day destination for those heading to the stadiums, but it’s a great place to linger for lunch with coworkers or have an easy weeknight dinner that involves a meatpie or two." - Kayla Sager-Riley

I recently visited this Nigerian restaurant and overall had a good experience, though there were a few bumps along the way. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the music set a really nice vibe that made the evening enjoyable. The food itself was very good…full of flavor and definitely worth coming back for. That said, the service was a bit confusing. The restaurant uses a self-service system, but it seemed to be missing some options that should have been available. We briefly spoke to a server, but they disappeared after a quick exchange, leaving us unsure of how to proceed. Eventually, I believe it was the bartender who ended up taking our order, and they were very kind and helpful, which I appreciated. So while the start of the experience felt a little disorganized, the food and the overall atmosphere made up for it. With a few improvements to the service and ordering process, this place could be excellent.

Been here twice, and the food has been really good on both occasions. The first time we had it in was in March. The ogbono and egusi had tripes and pomo in them, and we added extra proteins to the order for extra charge. Next time was in May. (2 months apart) I noticed the soups didn’t have tripes or cow skin in them, which is very okay with me since the chicken this time was bigger than the first time. We also had the Jollof as take outs. Overall, the food is really good, and it is worth eating here.

This place checks all the boxes of an African restaurant in a good way. Ordering is made simple with being able to order off your phone. So you can take your time going over the menu. They have an easily accessible sink to wash your hand, the music and set up help with the atmosphere👌🏾. We had Okra, fufu, chicken stew, plantain and jollof with goat meat. It took like 5-7 minutes after ordering and our food was out like all items. To top it off the food was really really good hand down authentic.

I am also happy to see more diverse restaurants popping up downtown than the usual places. This was my first West African restaurant in Seattle and it easily exceeded expectations. Wonderful service, incredible food and a large menu I can't wait to work my way through over the next few months. A must visit!

Pass D Jolof was incredible! Every dish we tried was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. The flavors were rich and authentic, and even the mocktails were a standout. My husband, who usually isn’t a fan of African food, absolutely loved his meal—so that says a lot! Definitely a spot we’d return to. Oh! Also the meat pies are a must get!

Had intended to get here many times, finally made it. Found them on the Alaska Airlines mileage site. The positives are, the goat was solid. The location is convenient and accessible, space is clean and well-furnished. On the flipside, a little pricey for the portion size, but then again it's been decades since I've had goat, so I'm unfamiliar with the costs. It has a lot of potential, and I think they can improve on being more welcoming. Offer some events to bring more people in. I also think they're leaving money on the table being closed on Sunday during baseball season, but I saw that one Sunday per month they have a brunch event. I'll check it out at some point.

Google
They had a live DJ really brining the vibe. I ordered the okra stew, the flavor was amazing and the heat was so subtle. Would definitely recommend this place for the vibe, food, and the NA drink selection.

Came on a Friday lunch time, so pretty quiet. I just ordered the plantains and beans. Really quick and delicious spice. Super cute space, nice art, music, and atmosphere. Great place to meet people for lunch during the work day, will be bringing people here. Not cheap, but nothing in this area is.

Yelp
I have been forever wanting to try Nigerian food. Specifically Egusi soup and fufu. A surprise date night provided the opportunity!!! It's Seattle so expect to pay for parking and for it to be a bit challenging. We found good parking though so no complaints from me. Walking in, it was so open and clean and inviting. There was great music playing, made you want to groove to it, not gonna lie lol. We were sat immediately and given the QR code to check the menu and order. Really simple ordering. We ordered the Egusi soup with beef, fufu, meat pies, cow skin and tripe with jollof and plantains. Everything was delicious! Honestly the tripe and beef skin was not tender enough for me. I like tripe too and am just used to it being cooked longer for a more tender bite. It was a good amount of food that e needed to take home leftovers. Great leftovers to have too. DEFINITELY coming back. Memorable experience!! Excited to try different items in the menu.

Yelp
I am so excited to have Nigerian food in Seattle! I heard about it two weeks ago and have been trying to make my way here since. I subbed to a very open, very clean, VIBE. It was empty when I arrived but quickly had several tables sat while I waited for my ridiculously large order . I tried a new drink the bartender Stefania made and it was so good! Once the food started being sautéed the aroma in the air was mouthwatering all by itself. If you're like me and have been seriously missing and seeking west African food- we finally have a place!!!! Check it out!

Yelp
A good Nigerian restaurant to have if you're craving West African food! The Yelp reviews aren't great from what I've seen, but from my experience, it was good! The ambiance is pretty great! There's a lot of room, and it's nicely organized and decorated. I had their Egusi soup with chicken and it was tasty! The chicken was well seasoned and I liked that it was spicy. The Egusi soup was good too. I previously had it at a different restaurant before and I feel like this one was less seasoned than the other. The chicken was an extra $3 to add, but it was a decent size. I wish they added more chicken though. For the soup and chicken, it was about $18. The service was good. Server was nice. You order through a QR code that you scan at your table. There were two mistakes on the orders that my guests had, but the restaurant was able to fix it. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and I'd come back if I'm craving Nigerian food!

Yelp
Came with a group of friends and got to try most of the dishes on the menu! The food was amazing and price is super reasonable. Would come back again!

Yelp
Food was amazing! I got the okra soup and added chicken for extra $2 and fufu was included! I wish the soup would have protein included already but it was pretty good, just not sure if I'd come here again. The okra soup plus chicken was 23.95 but the Kampala colada I got was $8.95! It was pretty good but very expensive for the size of the drink... Service is amazing, the food came out pretty quick and the employees were very welcoming. The food tasted very authentic!!! I never swallow my fufu but the okra soup makes it very easy to. The ambiance is really nice too, good seating, lighting and music! The whole visit was amazing, however I don't know if I'd come here again to get my dose of soul food.

Yelp
This was the most unique Seattle Restaurant Week place of my circuit! It's not every day you'd have Nigerian food and it was so accessible from downtown! Unfortunately the execution was problematic. The atmosphere is very chill and you order by QR code. But when they brought me my food there were no utensils to eat it with and it took a second for them to notice, not even when I first sat down. The first course I had was the Tilapia soup, which definitely had some spice to it, but it also had loads and loads of salt. I was unable to finish it. The main course was stir fried veggies with snail and goat. The curry goat was not bad but the snails were weird. The biggest and toughest escargot I've ever had. It was a big plate though but the flavor didn't sit too well with me. For dessert they brought me a cup of ice cream. What I expected was Puff Puff which from the Yelp photos is like a simple donut with the ice cream? They didn't even mention they were out and would I like something else instead? They were genuinely confused that I wasn't satisfied with just a simple cup of vanilla ice cream. After much fussing they offered me some samosas, which I was no longer in the mood for so I just took them to go, which I guess is fine, but they were clearly not that prepared to show off their best for SRW which is too bad. We need more diversity in our cuisine, but they've gotta step it up to stand out in this town.

Yelp
Our office moved closer to this area of Pioneer Square. Never had Nigerian food and decided to give it a try. You order at a kiosk my order was to go but you would do the same dining in. I went with the chicken jallof seemed appropriate to order a dish that's name is part if the menu. The jallof was very flavor wonderful mix of spices. Generous portion of four drumsticks. There was a person present to help with any questions who was very gracious and friendly. Would definitely like to try more of the menu. Nice to have something new and different in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Ambiance was amazing but the food didn't taste seasoned. Service was also questionable.

Yelp
We ordered dinner for delivery from Pass D Jollof, and it was good. We had meatpie (patties), jollofo rice with chicken, and plantains. I enjoyed the patties but hubby didn't. They contained ground beef, spices, and vegetables. The rice was tasty too, and was served with 2 drumsticks. The plantains were delicious and had the perfect texture. For dessert we ordered puff puff - a deep-fried snack, similar to doughnuts, Neither of us liked those. The order was correct and the food portions were good. My hubby and I each had a patty, and shared the rice, chicken, and plantains. We still have rice and plantains left. Overall a good dining experience and we will definitely give them another shot next time we are in town.

Yelp
I've been desperately wanting to try jollof rice after reading so many books by Nigerian authors. Today I had the opportunity and I took it! The space is beautiful, first things first. The digital ordering system works wonderfully for groups. Each person orders and pays individually on their device, although there is an option for group ordering as well. The food itself was next level delicious. The perfect amount of heat. Be aware that the spice creeps up on you in the most delightful way. My friend had the vegan meal, beans, rice, and plantains. She enjoyed it a whole lot. The table favorite, however, was the egusi soup with fu fu. We collectively agreed that we'd all be back. I can't wait.

Yelp
I want to like this place -- and at first, I did. My first visit was incredible: the food was delicious and full of flavor. But since then, the quality has been inconsistent. Two out of three times, the plantain has been dry and clearly unripe -- which at $10, is unacceptable. While the fish has mostly been excellent, one time parts of it were burned, and I didn't notice until I got it home. I get the feeling the owner is a master chef, but when he's not there, the skill level in the kitchen drops. That inconsistency shows. Service is... less than mediocre. Everyone is pleasant enough, but I often have to follow up for missing items -- basic things like a missing drink, bag or a container. On the upside, the ambiance is great. The space is clean and well-designed. But overall, I'm disappointed. A restaurant can't run on potential -- it has to deliver consistently, and this one just doesn't.

Yelp
We were walking by and saw that this had just opened, which was a lovely surprise, as I always welcome African cuisines to the Pioneer Square/Chinatown-ID neighborhoods! The place itself is surprisingly huge, with booths and tables in the front and what looks like will be a bar in the back, with four large screens behind the bar counter. Maybe they'll be going with a sports bar vibe in the future. If you are there for a to go meal, you order from a touchscreen kiosk at the front. If dining in, you access the restaurant's menu from a QR code at the table. You can then order from the app and later pay for your food with the same app. A server was making the rounds, supplying tables with napkins, utensils, and water. It would have been nice to get some plates for our shared food. I guess I should have asked him directly. We ordered the Ofada stew with white rice, Jolloff rice with plantains and chicken, and the Boneless asun. The asun came out first, and it was our favorite dish. It was spicy, with a uniquely tangy and complex flavor. I kinda wish that they had brought out the rice that came with the Ofada out too, because I think that this is the type of viand that pairs perfectly with white rice. The jolloff dish came out next. The plantains were perfectly tender. But I was a bit disappointed that the rice was kind of dry and the chicken not as tender as I would have liked it to be. Also, I felt as if the jolloff and the chicken could have maybe been spiced more? The Ofada finally came out with the rice. And while I quite enjoyed it, the asun was most definitely the star of the show. Altogether, we very much enjoyed the entire meal, and I think the place has a lot of promise. I think that like any new restaurant, they are likely working things out and seeing what works and doesn't work and will be improving things as they move forward. I can't wait to try the other menu items when we return.

Yelp
The flavors omg. I still think about this meal. The aromas alone will satisfy your taste buds. Everything was absolutely scrumptious. I ordered egusi soup, suya and my hub had okra. Everything was as delicious as it looks. Attentive and friendly service in a swanky locale. Give it a go!

Yelp
The place is very small at the entrance but it opens up expansively once you get inside. The place was empty at lunch time on a Wednesday beside myself and I'm so sorry to report that I was disappointed in the cuisine here. The jollof was lacking flavor it tasted just like tomato base and that's it hoping that was a one off. I ordered stew with it and the stew had a nice flavor I mixed the stew with the jollof and that seemed to fix it. It's a nice place to sit and dine if you're in a pinch. Thank you for your service Pass D Jollof.

Yelp
On 7/2/25 I took my son and family friend to Pass D Jollof. It was my first time trying Nigerian food. I had seen several videos online about the cuisine and wanted to experience it for myself. The staff was friendly and helpful during our visit. I tried the egusi and fufu....and considering that I had traveled 1200 miles to try this particular dish it was well worth the effort. I loved the combinations of the flavors and spices. Everything I tried there was absolutely delicious! I definitely would recommend a visit for anyone in the Seattle area.

Yelp
It was edible (but not for my taste buds). I did try it. The flavors were very basic and inauthentic I didn't care for it. I gave it away.

Yelp
Delicious food: I loved the ayamase, puff puff, and meat pie. I went with family who also enjoyed the peppersoup and efo riro. Very large and clean space. I have also gone there with a group. They have a great method for payment for large groups. Service was also great. Both times I have been there, the owner came around and said hello. All the servers were great as well. I am so happy to have a real Nigerian restaurant in Seattle!

Yelp
i did a generational run for seattle restaurant week! meaning, during the dates of SRW, i almost exclusively ate at restaurants that were part of the event. i believe this is one of the only nigerian restaurants in seattle, if not the only one. i was interested in trying nigerian cuisine, as it's kinda few and far in between everywhere i've lived. initially, i went into this excited to try. when you first walk in, the ambiance isn't bad at all. it isn't anything supremely special either, but there was some art on the walls and exposed brick. it was nice and clean too, even with a hand-washing station for when you finish your meal. it's a very calm atmosphere, even though it became moderately busy. for seattle restaurant week, they offered a three-course meal for $35, lunch or dinner. it came with an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert. for the appetizer and entrée, there were two different choices. i went with the fish soup for the app and the peppered meats for the main. unfortunately, i think the kitchen got somewhat overwhelmed, which affected the service a lot. my courses were not brought out in the right order, and i think i wouldn't have gotten my appetizer if i hadn't said anything to the server. she also never refilled our waters despite coming by and noticing that our glasses were empty. i don't think she was really ready to serve the restaurant as it got busier, either. was it worth it for SRW? sadly, no. the food was very... mid. the entrée was stir-fried vegetables with a curried goat and, uniquely enough, snail. the two meats were on different levels and it made for a strange mouthfeel: the snails were very tough and chewy, while the goat was very tender and soft. i sort of wish it was just the goat on its own or a different choice than snail. the flavor was okay, too much black pepper. my appetizer (which was actually brought out second instead of first) also had wayyy too much black pepper in it; it was inedible -- i took a few bites and instantly felt bloated from the amount of pepper in it. in fact, there was no flavor besides black pepper. the standout from this meal was the dessert, named the puff puff. these were beignets with vanilla ice cream and honestly, they were delicious. overall though, i left feeling dissatisfied. due to the poor service as well, i'm hesitant to try this place again. maybe it was a fluke; i won't completely write it off just yet, especially because seattle needs more diversity in its palate. but so far, this was not the move.

Yelp
It was little hard to find However as soon as my partner and I walked in we get hit with the amazing aroma of spices and music definitely somewhere I felt invited to come back we walked in and they Greeted us warmly. As soon as I got home I posted about it, being pregnant an allergic to a lot of things is rough I'm so glad I found good food that fills me up an I'm not allergic to it.

Yelp
A complete and utter rip off and a flavorless one at that. This is my first experience with Nigerian food and I was so excited. Unfortunately, what I got was not even appetizing. A flavorless mess. This "soup" was $23.70! WTF! They didn't even fill the container to the top. It was barely half a ladle. It also didn't have much flavor despite the description hyping it up that it was made with aromatic spices. There was more rice than there was okra soup! Do not waste your money here. This is absolutely outrageous and absurd! There wasn't even any meat in the dish. This is why I do not support Seattle restaurants - no flavor, overpriced and small portions. I only did this because I have a friend visiting. Lesson learned to stick to my instincts and not support Seattle restaurants! Crooks!

Talia G.

Yelp
Great service, good food! The owner was really nice and attentive in showing the QR menu! Awesome service! Definitely recommend! Ambiance with great music!

Yelp
First off the food was amazing! I got the Jollof and plantains with chicken. The service was really great as well. We were greeted right away. The ambiance of the restaurant was great too, with music playing in the background - perfect to dance to the great food. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
OUTSTANDING *****5-star food and EXCELLENT service! This morning I picked up a large order consisting of single servings of several of my favorite Nigerian dishes, including delicious snacks and appetizers like Meatpie (savory), Puff Puff (slightly sweet) and Suya (spicy); and authentic entrees, Egusi Soup (with beef) paired with Oatmeal fufu; Okra Soup (with Tilapia fish) paired with Eba/Gari; Bitterleaf Soup (with cowskin, tripe and beef) and Obgono Soup (with goat meat) paired with Amala; a side of Efo Riro (spinach stew); and, last but never least, Nigeria's signature dish, Jollof Rice, accompanied by fried Plantains a side of spicy red stew with beef. Each dish has its own distinct flavor, consistency and vibe and the quality and range of ingredients speaks volumes. I can make most of these dishes myself and I have a true appreciation for PDJ being able to execute the precision, timing and flavors that go into making Nigerian food. I've been ordering from PDJ since 2022 but today was my first time in the restaurant which is a beautiful venue located in Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood. It's the type of place that you can get lost in by just admiring the amazing art on the walls and the ambient decor. You'll see the culinary team preparing and cooking the food in the open plan kitchen towards the back of the restaurant which adds to the charm of the restaurant. I was hoping to hear some Afrobeats but it was probably too early in the day to turn up the volume. I hope that the PDJ team consider having a food truck. It would be a huge success. I am glad that I finally visited this restaurant and I will continue to Pass d Word about Seattle's finest Nigerian dining destination. WaZoBia! Wazobia (Yoruba pronunciation: [wàzbíà]) is a term that means "come" in three major Nigerian languages: Yoruba (wa), Hausa (zo), and Igbo (bia).[1] It is often used as a symbol of unity, diversity, and inclusion in Nigeria, a country with over 250 ethnic groups and languages.[1] The term is also used as a name for various media outlets, cultural events, and social movements in Nigeria. Yelp
The only thing that as good and fresh was the fufu. The meals I ordered (Jollof & Beef; Ololufe Chicken) were not fresh. The meat was definitely not fresh tasted 1 or 2 days old and the beef was super tough. Side note I ordered through Uber Eats Jan 9, 2024. My order was not fully correct I was missing 1 fufu and I received ololufe beef instead of chicken. Uber did refund me for the missing fufu. Note to the resturant staff/cook best practices is to double check to make sure meal is correct when customers order through Uber Eats. Be sure to cook all meals the day of.

Yelp
This is my first time having Nigerian food. I gotta say, IT IS GOOD! This place is clean, friendly and the food is awesome! If ya'll haven't tried Nigerian, ya'll need to try this place!!

Yelp
Jollof rice was ok. Honestly it was under-seasoned and tasted like ok Spanish rice. I'm kinda surprised other people on yelp are saying it's amazing. Maybe just ours wasn't that great. The fufu was good though and the meat stew was flavorful Chin-chin was super tasty though. Slightly sweet and crunchy. Pretty easy to eat a ton of it and feel guilty, but also still do it again Service was non existent since it's just a take out restaurant. You just order online and pull it out of a cubby (not knocking points for it, just explaining).

Yelp
I live super close to this ghost kitchen, pick up spot and I've been wanting to try it for a while. I really wanted to try their jollof rice since I've never had it before. Personally, the jollof rice was good, but on the dry side (this could be how the dish is, if so, my apologies!) but I decided to also try a new stew with some fufu because it just sounded so good. I never had Efo Riro before but oh my, was it good. SO flavorful!! I'm from SE asia so i love my strong and complex flavors, and i can appreciate all the different exotic cuts of meat included. this was seriously out of this world. and the fufu was so warm and soft too, the perfect texture. The pickup was super easy, I was kind of shocked. you just walk in and enter your name or order info on a tablet screen (i think you can scan a QR code too if you have one) and then a locker opens up with your meal inside. They did forget my fufu when I went to pick up my order, but I was able to call restaurant while I was there and get that replaced! They were so kind about it and it didn't take long at all. I think the pricing is a little bit on the expensive side, but I'm honestly not complaining since there's such a lack of african cuisine around seattle anyways. i'm willing to pay a little extra, especially since the quality is so good too. Overall, I'm so glad that there's a good, authentic african food place near me now. and i'm super excited to order more types of soups and stews. Will be back again!

Yelp
The only Nigeria restaurant in Seattle, food is good, service is good. Go here and support them so they stay open. Ambiance is perfect. My only advice is if they can turn down the music a little that would be nice.

Yelp
This is one of me and my husband's favorite restaurants. Their food is so freaking delicious. The jollof rice is our favorite. I highly recommend for anyone that is looking for some delicious Nigerian food.

Yelp
The atmosphere, staff and food is the best of any African restaurant in the Pacific Northwest. If you have not tried it, you are missing out.
google avatar

Ememabasi I.

Yelp
I've ordered from this restaurant twice, ordering two different types of meals. First and foremost, it's great to see a brick and mortar store sell authentic African food here. We don't have that in the PNW, and the west African community is extremely large, so I hope their business is booming. The food tastes amazing, hands down. You cannot go wrong with any of their soups or jollof rice. The one thing that I can't get over is the portions of meat offered in the meals. I had their Jollof Rice with meat earlier this month and I was disappointed with the amount of meat present in the dish--I received two pieces of meat, which were mostly bony. It took away from the experience. With that said, the jollof tasted amazing! Tonight, I ordered the goat stew, and again, got two pieces of meat. They meat pieces look extremely large, but unfortunately it's mostly made out of bone. The stew itself tasted amazing, but it was the lack of meat that made this just alright. Additionally, the soups and stews do not come with rice or fufu, which are a whopping $5 each. The fufu price is reasonable, given what I got, but the amount of rice we got was disappointing. I can't justify ordering food delivery from this restaurant, but I have no doubt the prices and portions are different in person. I'm looking forward to the great service and ambiance I'll receive from the owners when I go in person. Overall, I give this place a solid 7.5/10 would recommend. If you're looking for an authentic West African cuisine, please consider this restaurant!

Yelp
One of the best meals I've ever had, we had the chicken and goat combo with rice. The goat was by far the table favorite

Kheyceeh V.

Yelp
I ordered egusi soup with goat meat, the meat was still hard. I ordered online and picked it up. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant dining room is big and clean.

R H.

Yelp
I tried to give this restaurant a second chance but it's still a no for me. I'm West African so I prefer Sierra Leone Jollof rice over Nigeria Jollof rice and this is exactly why. The Jollof here just tasted like tomato paste. The beef was so dry and that it was hard to chew. I ordered extra beef and only got a few pieces. This was definitely not worth the price. I won't be trying this again.

Yelp
Outstanding food and what an experience! Came for a date night and was left speechless. Being introduced to so many things I've never tried before was a welcomed treat.

Yelp
Staff were genuinely kind and helpful. I ordered Egusi soup with fish and pounded yam and it was delicious! I couldn't finish it all at the restaurant so the portion was plentiful to say the least. My husband ordered Okra with Eba and ate it all In one sitting. Give this place a try if you're in Seattle and looking for African food or even if you're a foodie looking for something tasty to try. We will be back, some of the best Egusi I've had.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place but it was underwhelming. The beef stew was not stew at all. The tomato sauce was good but the beef was hard like a rock, I wouldn't consider it a stew. More like a dried out beef jerky covered in sauce. It was inedible, couldn't chew or break it apart. The plantains were so dried, I've had better plantains homemade. First time having egusi and it wasn't what I expected. The flavor was interesting. The fufu and jollof rice was the only thing good, although a few rice grains were again hard and dried. I'm very disappointed, not sure if I got an old batch from the night before but most of it tasted dried and old.

Yelp
Been wanting to try African food and this place for a while now and so happy I finally did! I ordered Egusi w/ chicken + fufu and a sample sized Asun. The Egusi is very savory with a nutty flavor. It's hard for me to even describe the flavor profile further than that because it's so complex. It's objectively a tasty and high quality dish, however I probably won't order it again because I'm not a deep savory dish fan... if that even makes sense. Price-wise the Egusi chicken w/ fufu is pricey and the portion is a bit smaller than you'd hope. It comes with one chicken leg. However, it's definitely filling so I think you get your moneys worth. I think it'll last me 2 meals tbh. As for the Asun... holy crap. Ultimate flavor bomb! So good! The spice is the perfect level for a spicy food/habanero lover. It's spicy enough that it makes your nose run but that's about it which is great lol. Not going to lie though, for how little the container is for the price ($10) it kinda hurts a little lol. But it's tasty. I'd def order again. I'm excited to try their other dishes! ---edit: I'm eating the leftover Egusi and fufu today. Changing my mind. I love it and would order it again.

Yelp
Slop is what I'll call it. I love the Nigerian dishes and fare. I am extremely familiar with the foods. I would not recommend this place to anyone that is familiar with the food. You would be disappointed. Someone new that wants to be adventurous and try a new food, I guess you can't judge. The meat is not fully cooked. It's either too chewy or too hard. The eguisi is not balls of it, where you can break it up, the entire soup is egusi. Also the food is lightly seasoned. They do know how to apply the peppers to the unseasoned dishes. If you want some good food, travel up to Lynnwood. They have several African restaurants, where you can see who's cooking your dish, also clean settings to sit and eat your food or take with. I will guarantee, no Nigerians eat from this restaurant, because they know it's not the real thing. Sadly disappointing.

Yelp
I ordered mid-afternoon on a weekday. Got the food pretty quickly. Thank goodness I no longer have to trek up to Mount Lake Terrence to get some West African food. And, this one may be one of the only Nigeria-specific restaurants that Seattle has had in a while. The fufu was light and fluffy. I got the efo riro stew (tripe plus more). It was loaded with meat and really loaded with greens. It was really flavorful with an unique spice profile. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Amazing food, love how the service was hands free. The confusion of ordering and getting your food was not a thing perfect transaction. The area was nice and calm and it had order. Will return for more!

Yelp
Had beef stew and okra soup and Jollof rice. All three were delicious, very well seasoned. I picked it up in person from U District Eats on Roosevelt - quick and easy.

Yelp
Meat was so dry and hard even a hooker would not handle how hard it was. Rationing portions like we in the motherland like I just dropped 20 bucks for this are you serious. I could feed a whole village with that money and I get two pieces of meat in my jollof? And the egg looked like it was from the apartheid age of south Africa. At least the jollof was mid tho!

Yelp
I've been having food cravings for months and I couldn't put my finger on just what it was I was missing. For months now I've been only slightly satisfied by my favorites. And then I woke up on a Sunday morning and realized I was missing my mom's cooking. So I looked up Nigerian food and hallelujah I found a highly rated, down the road, single offering. And I went to church. Food church that is. Lord be praised it was close to my mother's cooking. Food cooked by an aunty. Close. Not your mother's. But close enough that it's very enjoyable. I've been back for a second helping of both the egusi soup and jallof rice. I'm almost motivated enough to cook my own. Almost. Almost. Almost. For the comparison of Mexican rice to jallof. I see the similarities but this jallof rice is spot on. Perfectly executed. Close enough. But not the same. One word. Yummy!

Yelp
The food here was great at first. But overtime, the portions got smaller, the prices went higher, and the quality decreased. Really hope they continue to see success and make the prices more reasonable. If they improve in these areas, I think their food will be more appreciated and well received by others.

Yelp
It's wonderful to have access to delicious west African food, especially given the convenience of delivery through apps etc. The food was flavorful and we enjoyed everything, but portion sizes were smaller than we anticipated.

Yelp
Oh man - such stellar flavors. I ordered the chicken stew with a side of jollof rice. Everything was delicious, and I worked up a decent sweat from the mild-but-persistent slow burn of the spice. This was my first time ordering from Pass D Jollof, but it won't be my last.

Yelp
Fantastic jollof and suya. Very authentic meal -- well seasoned and spiced and generous portions. The chinchin was also very good.
