Google
I’ve been searching for a go to Thai restaurant since I moved to Tacoma and I’m so glad I found this place! The peanut sauce is AMAZING! We got takeout so I’m not sure what the service is like dining in. The crispy pork belly was great, chicken satay was delicious, pas see ew was bomb, and the yellow curry fried rice was perfect. The only thing I was disappointed with was the tofu fresh rolls, it was just tofu and lettuce and the lettuce didn’t taste fresh. I look forward to trying more dishes from here!

Google
I LOVE this restaurant. I LOVE THAI FOOD and I am from Thailand. My husband and his family are LOVE their Fresh Roll,Tom Kha Chicken Soup,Pad Kee Mao and Pad Cashew Nuts. Eerybody said all the foods was very YUMMY, fresh and good quality!! I would definitely suggest you to stop by if you are in Tacoma. Ohhh...The service was GREAT. I will for sure to return!!

Google
Such delicious food. We started with fresh rolls with peanut sauce. We shared Pad Thai and Family Fried Rice and still had lots to take home. I enjoyed my Thai iced tea. The server was very attentive.

Google
Best Thai in Tacoma! Service and food are excellent. Wish they still had the dine-in option but takeout works for me.

Michele Ostbye

Google
Horrible Phad Thai with scallops. Scallops were tiny. Other than bean sprouts, there were absolutely no fresh veggies like shredded carrots, onions, or red cabbage--very bland and dull. For the cost (~$19.00), small portions. Will not visit this establishment again.

Irvin Johnson

Google
Had the Avocado Curry and Fried Rice. Food was delicious but unfortunately discovered foil in fried rice which threw off the vibe of enjoying the meal. Takeout only.

Tasha Grace

Google
Good food, but only open for takeout. Really annoyed I drove all the way there just to have to turn around and find somewhere else to eat!

Sam Tritt

Google
Ordered the pad Thai. Portions were good but the noodles were lacking any PEANUT SAUCE. Comon, it’s in the name!!

Yelp
Ordered food to go from this place. Used to frequent this spot back in the day when Tacoma didn't have a lot of Thai spots. Their classic I feel is the Chicken Phad Thai which I feel still tastes similar to how it did back then. Ordered the Crab Wontons as well. The sauce it comes with is different and is sweet but more sour but has like chili flakes. I wasn't a fan so just ate the wontons by itself.

Yelp
Haven't eaten there in a while but every time was a delight. Food and service was on point! Got me thinking I'll drop in for some good Thai food!
google avatar

Saemyi L.

Yelp
The pad kee mao was yummy! The perfect balance of all the flavors. Their fresh rolls were good, except it had different ingredients than what I'm used to. It didn't have any rice noodles and more lettuce and then chicken in the middle. Also, it was almost $11 for 2 rolls!!! $$$$$$$$ My first thought was, this is so tiny. But to be fair, it's a little thicker. LOVED the peanut sauce. FYI, They don't do dine-in anymore. I guess they just kept it like that since the pandemic.

Yelp
This popped up as an option on Uber Eats. We love Thai food and hadnt heard of this place before. Man were we pleasantly surprised! The food was all delicious and we can't wait to order again.

Yelp
I had not been here for years. Sad they cannot find staff to work and open the seating area. The amazing thing was how great my Red Curry Chicken and Cashew Chicken were.. I realized this was the best Thai food I have had for a long time. I have tried so many places. A huge bonus was the same person from years ago, Joy, remembered me and was so nice. It is great to support a business like this with such great food and people. I plan on going back every time I crave Thai food.
google avatar

Thomas K.

Yelp
Totally love the Avocado Curry here. It's sooo good! I've also had the Cashew Chicken, which also was great. And Joy is awesome too :-)

Aaron S.

Yelp
Best Thai food in Tacoma! No dine in option but the take out experience is does the job. I highly recommend you try the Pad Thai. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
Avocado chicken curry is my favorite but everything I've had there is so good! Pineapple fried rice is a must always at our home. FYI they are only open for take out.

Yelp
While my husband is gone for work I get to indulge in food that he doesn't love so guess what?! I had Thai twice in one week, it's really some of my favorite food and my friend was telling me recently how she loves Peanut Sauce Thai Cuisine so I had to check it out. Since we're still in phase 1 during Covid they are open but only for takeout which is ok. Ordering was easy and they had it ready within 20 minutes. We ordered pad see ew with tofu 3 stars, veggies with chicken in peanut sauce ( I forgot the name), fried spring rolls, and avocado curry with tofu, which I was so excited to finally find and be able to try. The food was pretty good though I will say I wish the pad see ew was a little more saucy but the flavor was good and kudos to the chef because the spice level was on point, there's truly nothing worse then ordering Thai food and the spice is anything but spicy when that's what you ask for. Also, about this avocado curry, one of my best friends raved about one she used to have in college so it became a semi life mission to get my hands on some. I really liked it and I'm happy I finally found some avocado curry, it is a milder taste though but it's avocado so it's to be expected. Ordering was a breeze and the order was accurate. Everything tasted fresh and I'd gladly come back here.

Yelp
Decent thai but not the best I've had. My husbands Pad See Ew was great but my pad thai lacked flavor significantly.
google avatar

Colrain F.

Yelp
Consistently good. Love the Green Curry w Avocado and Prawns. The spicing is excellent, A 3 star heat is enough to clear your sinuses without totally burning your head off. I look forward to them having in-house dining again!
google avatar

Aaron G.

Yelp
My wife and I have been going here for years. The shop is very good and in my top 5 Thai shops in the area. My only complaint is the lack of dive in as of late. A few times recently I forgot and that's my bad .
google avatar

Myke L.

Yelp
I will not ever be coming back here ever!! First and last time!!!! This place has a sign that says open for togo only due to staff shortage!! Besides that the food sucks and is expensive!! I bought 2 soups that came out to be around $27 and when I took it home and opened it!!! I was very upset about the portion was sooo small for the price., the one soup gave diarrhea!!! I don't think anyone should be buying anything from here!!! Place has very bad vibe's!!!

Yelp
This was a positive experience. The staff was friendly and ensured we were checked in frequently . The menu was or long but mostly because they had a menu just for vegetarians. The wait was odd reasonable considering the amount of food we ordered. I'd highly recommend the avocado spring rolls, won ton soup, and Peanut sauce on the side. The peanut sauce was great just on some rice. The duck was pretty good. I like duck but sometimes I just wish it wasn't swimming in so much other stuff. Don't get me wrong, it was good. I just think someone's ask if the other pens mark the actual great flavor of duck. Fried rice was not bad. It could have used a bit more flavor but I did enjoy the pineapple in it. Won ton soup was delicious. I was a little disappointed that I had to share The crispy duck we have mixed opinion. It seemed that either they liked it or hated it and had an even split. Personally, I couldn't stand the taste. That being said, it's a very common taste that I'm finding in Asian food and it's really something I'm not a fan of. Btw- that Thai Iced Tea was very good. I like how it was served especially with the whip cream. Overall, the service was good and Food wasn't bad. Would I come here again? It's not in the top of my list, but I'd be willing to come back and try a few other dishes.

Yelp
Good food... fresh and flavorful. Wish they would go back to dine in service. Either way, I highly recommend.

Hae Man S.

Yelp
Love the sunny fried trout among other great dishes. Owner is great, very friendly. Miss eating there during dine in but still enjoy ordering to go.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Tacoma!! Always consistent. They are a hidden gem for sure!
google avatar

Jeniffer P.

Yelp
Ordered food for take out & everything was phenomenal. I got the spring rolls, which has 2 shrimp on the outter part & the peanut dipping sauce was thick, creamy & flavorful! Also ordered the crab rangoon, which was nice & big, had good crunch. For my main dish I ordered the Pad Mama @ a level 4 spicy. Level 4 is SPICY! Id say the spiciness was on par with what a 4 should be but if you dont like spicy, stick to a low #

Carol C.

Yelp
Pad see ewe tofu is my favorite! Love the food and the friendliness thank you always!!!
google avatar

Ross B.

Yelp
Definitely on the pricier side. The food was pretty average. some decent flavors throughout, the spring rolls were probably the least favorite part and were only saved by the house made sweet chili sauce. This definitely felt like one of those "let's support local businesses" type outing, can't say we'll be going back

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Ordered the Garlic Green Been and this dish was good, but chicken was a little tough. The bad part of this meal was the Tom Kha Chicken soup. The same tough chicken but even worst was there was so much sugar added to this dish it tasted like a dessert. It was unpalatable. I didn't even have 1/4 of the soup. Plus never got a receipt of offered utensils. I got all the way back to the office and realized I had to eat with my fingers. I will never come back to this place again.

L M.

Yelp
You can't even order without having to load a menu. Not helpful at at! What trash customer service! Oh that's just for takeout. Who knows how the food is, couldn't even get that far in the experience.
google avatar

Colleen B.

Yelp
I'm really astonished with the poor quality food I reviewed Ed for a takeout order this evening. I usually get takeout here atleast once every two weeks, but today the dishes we received included NONE of the vegetables that it was supposed to. We preferred Basil Fried Rice with Tofu and Red Curry with Tofu- the curry was just a few bamboo shoots and 3 pieces of tofu and the fried rice was essentially soft white rice with carrots and tofu. I called the restaurant and they took a long time to find my order, speak with cooks and then eventually offer to remake the food but she seemed so uneasy about it, that I felt uncomfortable and said to forget it - unfortunately I won't be visiting peanut sauce again.
google avatar

Farron L.

Yelp
Knock your socks off wonton soup!!! Still carry out only, but man oh man is that wonton soup is amazing.
google avatar

Heather H.

Yelp
Food is good when you eat inside but tastes mediocre at best when it's to go. They need to open back up for dining inside, it's been YEARS.... I won't be ordering food to go but I'll eat here when I can sit inside.

Yelp
Don't judge a restaurant by its cover because as soon as you walk in, you'll notice a cozy and cultural space to dine in. I love all the different artwork hung up on the walls along with the decorations placed throughout the restaurant. We were seated upon arriving and the food came quick as well. Best to least favorite were the green curry, family style fried rice, and pad see yew. The green curry was flavorful, creamy, and if you are a bell pepper fan, you would definitely detect the notes of that throughout the curry. Although the family fried rice had a handful of ingredients thrown in it, there wasn't "too much" going on. It definitely leaned toward a sweeter note as did the pad see yew. Speaking of, I've never had pad see yew quite as sweet as the one here but it may be due to a different style of cooking? On the plus side, the noodles were cooked to a perfect texture but I prefer a savory flavor than sweet when it comes to my noodles. The bill came out to a reasonable and frankly, affordable price for a party of 3. The convenient parking lot along with efficient and friendly service also made the experience a positive one. I'll probably just stick to the curries or fried rice when I come back.

Yelp
Got the chicken pad Thai delivered. I asked for four stars and there was absolutely no spice present in the dish. The flavor was mainly that of ketchup...it does not seem like they include any tamarind in the pad thai sauce. It was nearly inedible and included no vegetables. I would at least think they'd include some carrot or a few pieces of broccoli.
google avatar

Sohee K.

Yelp
Avocado curry is very very tasty and their portion size is huge. I chose medium spicy with chicken and it was tangy enough for me - Korean from Korea. Everyone was nice and so welcoming too. I would like to visit again sometime soon and try a different dish. Note: You have to order a bowl of rice separately however it is refillable.

Yelp
Taste Test between our favorite Thai place (Chili Thai) vs. our friend's favorite (this restaurant). We ordered the same dishes Pad Se Ew Noodles, Chicken Green Curry and Fresh Spring Rolls. I was skeptical as to whether there was a better Thai restaurant than Chili Thai in U.P. and I have to admit that Peanut Sauce delivered. Pad Se Ew: This was a little more heavy on soy sauce and the beef was a bit over cooked. The winner is Chili Thai because it was cooked perfectly and they had more vegetables. Chicken Green Curry: Chili Thai again had more vegetables but the I preferred the curry sauce of this place. Super tasty and creamy. Can't wait to have the leftovers! Winner is Peanut Sauce. Fresh Spring Rolls: Clearly the Peanut Sauce Rolls were larger. Pretty much the same ingredients but the winner is Peanut Sauce mainly because their Peanut Sauce is served warm and it had better consistency and flavor. I could just eat that over rice! If you name your restaurant Peanut Sauce you kind of have to live up to the name and they do! I'm still a fan of Chili Thai because it's in our neighborhood but I would order take out from here again. It's good to know that there are actually good Thai restaurants in Tacoma. Don't settle for the "Americanized" versions!

Yelp
I absolutely love this little gem. I don't usually like rice at all but their crab fried rice is so good we also add shrimp to it. Staff is alway super friendly recently we came and with the pandemic their set up for pick up orders was great. As someone with a compromised immune system I have been staying home. Decided to have a break from cooking one night. Support local support small this place is great!

Yelp
Came here yesterday for dinner. Terrible & disorganized experience at this place. I would NOT recommend & not return. The one star is required, but the pad thai and iced coffee was good. We also ordered avacado rolls and I ordered the Salmon Curry with a side of rice (since rice is extra). The poor experience started when I walked in. The place looks run down and in need of a paint job. I noticed my plate had a hair in it. Their menu looks like manuscripts from the 12th century. Their menu belongs in a museum. The water cups looked very foggy and you can see gunk on the bottom of the cup when you drink it. Ordering the Avacado rolls was odd, I made a small chat asking if they're good, because the ones I had somewhere else weren't good. The lady said she doesn't know, but that they're a favored dish and added that she 'hopes I like them'. I DO TOO. My side of rice came out first. Just the rice. Then his entire meal. I sat there for five minutes with my bowl of rice, no salmon curry not sure what to do. Oh, the Avacado rolls hadn't come out. After some time, a blan cereal bowl with slices of potatoe, green peppers and a few bits of salmon came out, which is NOT worth $12.95. Oh, the Avacado rolls still hadn't come out. I asked for some lemon hoping that would help add flavor to the blan cereal soup. The lady came back with not lemon wedges, but a slice and a half of lemon. I looked at that and didn't know what to do with it, I should've put it on my eyes. Oh, still no Avacado rolls. Then the girls were too busy in the back talking loudly about how there's ghosts in the bathroom. So not only does the place lack in quality, avacado rolls and lemon wedges, but it lacks professionalism. Oh, the avacado rolls never came out. Needless to say, I will not return. But hey, you can if you got a ouija board. Let me know if the ghosts know where our avacado rolls went.

Jessica G.

Yelp
Terrible food ! Over priced. The prices they have in the menu is not the right one. And the food wasn't good at all but inky that they forgot to put the side of rice.

Miguel R.

Yelp
Delicious food. Lots of vegan options. Definitely recommend to everybody. Very friendly staff. My favorite dish is crispy garlic tofu.

Jon S.

Yelp
Ordered Phad Thai with tofu, Sweet Sour Pork and Fresh Spring Rolls. This restaurant's food has always been consistently delicious and appreciative service. Hopefully they'll be able to open up their in house dining soon.
google avatar

Lizzie S.

Yelp
We only ordered take out but it wasn't the best service. I personally was not happy with my dish pad see ew. It's just not going to be the place I go for Thai food. Maybe if I end up having to go with another friend I will try a different dish
google avatar

Derek G.

Yelp
Without a doubt, my personal favorite place to eat in T-Town. I enjoy the Crispy Garlic Chicken so much that I've driven from West Seattle to just get my fix! The owners are amazing people who care about their restaurant a lot, the interior is pleasant, and, there's even a parking lot. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend paying a visit to Peanut Sauce. I worked in Tacoma for about 4.5 years and made sure that I was there once a week. Enjoy!

Yelp
I've been here several times now and I still can't really come to the point where I LOVE this place. Everyone I know when I speak of Thai food, they automatically blurt out "Peanut Sauce" and for me.. I'm just like, ehh.. I've been there quite a bit. Each time I go, I try something different in case I think I will like something they make and become a usual and order the same thing over and over. So far, I think all the dishes are just mediocre and bland in taste. Even if I try to make it spicier... I don't know what it is about the place but it doesn't appeal to me too well. I still stop by once in awhile when I feel like eating Thai food but don't feel like driving to Puyallup and sometimes when I'm nearby shopping at the Tacoma Mall. The most recent experience, during the holidays at the end of the year, I tried their special: Pumpkin Curry. I love Thai curry usually the red and Massaman so I tried the Pumpkin one just because I love pumpkin in general. It was alright. Kind of bland again... usually I note Thai food to have plenty of flavor.. and whatnot but who knows.. maybe I am accustomed to my other usual Thai place go-to.

Tyler c.

Yelp
Since they don't offer dine in the portions all super small. They need to get back to dining people and serving great food with good portions.

Wendy Y.

Yelp
I love there Thai tea and would recommend it to people. The service was so friendly and I always order online they always don't disappoint.
google avatar

Marta K.

Yelp
We were looking forward to trying this place because of all the great reviews. Overall an ok experience. The service was quick and the waitress was nice. Food was mediocre. We ordered the fresh rolls which were pretty good but the peanut sauce came out COLD :(. We thought since the name has "peanut sauce" in it, we would get amazing sauce but it was meh.. we've definitely had better. We also had Thai iced tea which was UNBEARABLY sweet even without the whipped cream. We asked them to remake it less sweet and they brought back the same one with more milk - still way sweeter than usual Thai iced tea. The pad Thai was also unusually sweet. It was hard to taste other flavors because of how sweet everything was. We will probably look for a different place next time. A little disappointed.

Yelp
This is by far the best Thai food I have ever had. I always mean to review but after almost 5 years of being a customer, it's time!!! The owner is absolutely amazing. She's a badass entrepreneur who remembers not only my face but my orders. Every friend I take here falls in love. The food is always ready quick so I can pick up to go within 10 minutes of calling. I moved into a new house recently and one reason was because it's only 4 minutes from Peanut Sauce. I've tried every Thai place within 10 miles from here and no one comes close to Peanut Sauce in flavor. Prices are amazing and the menu has something for everybody. This is the perfect local business and coming there feels like home. Stop scrolling and drive there now. Closed Sundays and otherwise are open until 9pm every night. Also, if you call a to go at 855 they make it for you. Seriously, they are angels.
google avatar

Khoeun G.

Yelp
Did a pick up order of house fried rice and red curry. The house fried rice is what I usually get and delicious everytime. I was craving curry so decided to try it. It was way to sweet... tasted like a bunch of sugar was dumped in it. I will stuck with just my regular fried rice.
google avatar

Pri D.

Yelp
The pros: clean place Fried tofu in my food was good. The cons: I ordered the chili fried rice w/ tofu no mushrooms or eggs. I asked her if I could substitute that for green peppers. She told me it'll still be $1 something for anything extra no substitutions! Really?!? I asked for it to be 3 star spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. I also ordered Tom yum soup which is one of my fav. Instead of it being a hot n sour soup it was more like hot and sweet. I've had Tom yum soup from different restaurants and this is the first time my soup was this sweet. Won't be coming back.
google avatar

Elsbeth S.

Yelp
This is our go-to place when we don't feel like cooking at home but still want a relatively healthy meal. The service is super quick and food is pretty darn good! It's a wonderful hole in the wall place that's great for lunch and dinner! Their lunch specials are tough to beat. Absolutely love it, highly recommend.
google avatar

Evrard D.

Yelp
We had been meaning to try this place for months and now so glad we did! Itd namesake, the peanut sauce, is rich and creamy, so good. We had the chicken pad thai and the spicing was correct and the flavor is excellent. We now have a thai place for amazing take out in Tacoma!
google avatar

Isa B.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this place since my friend said their food was really good. The pictures of the food online looked good but my chicken fried rice was bad. I don't know if it was the big chunks of canned pineapple or the sparse bland chicken but the whole thing went in the trash after a few bites even though I was hungry. It was edible but bland and mushy. It was an order to go and there's no way I was driving back to that place to get my $12 back. Maybe fried rice isn't their thing, the pictures of other entrees look good. But then again, fried rice is not that difficult to make.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
This has been my go-to place for Curry when I near the Tacoma Mall. It's always clean, the food is priced very well, and tastes FANTASTIC! Plus, the servers are very friendly & prompt. I just had the Avocado Curry with Chicken & brown rice, along with some Fresh Rolls with Prawns, Chicken, and Peanut Sauce. It was more than enough food to fill me up & probably enough for two. Give this place a try!!!
google avatar

Rita P.

Yelp
I just went there last weeks ago the food was good any kind Only Green Curry it too sweet for me

Erica C.

Yelp
I love peanut sauce! They offer a wide variety of options and have big portions! I've tried almost everything and have loved it all. Best Thai in tacoma!
