"Located inside a 1933 Sinclair Gas Station, this spot features a uniquely Texas mashup of barbecue and Cajun food. The menu has all of the usual favorites, including brisket sandwiches, ribs, crawfish etouffee, and cajun shrimp. But the true culinary adventure is creating your own meal. A brisket stuffed potato with a side of turkey and sausage gumbo is a Texan take on the traditional baked potato and soup lunch." - Courtney E. Smith, Leslie Chatman

This place is a treasure with a classic look tucked into Granbury's shopping district! The service was top tier just real nice genuine people excited to receive us and share their cooking. One of the kindest restaurants I've ate at! We got the brisket sandwich which had really good sliced brisket between a delicious bun! The gumbo was unique and light while still bold with flavor! The beans for our sides were scrumptious and I found my self scraping the bottom of the cup for the last drippings. My girlfriend got the baked potatoes with chopped brisket loaded with all the fixings. It was almost 2 meals in its own right! The setting is great as well we ate outside just right on the main street with the shopping and festivities. It's just far enough away it's not chaotic and just close enough you can enjoy the hustle and bustle I imagine it's a great place to enjoy a lunch or dinner at while visiting. We'd definitely come again!

This place is a gem inside Granbury's shopping district. The service was top tier just real nice genuine people excited to have customers. I got the brisket sandwich which had really good sliced brisket between a delicious jalapeño sourdough bun! I'd definitely come again!

Google
Had the Sister Special and Turkey /Sausage Gumbo. The sandwich was delicious. Dill sauce and Turkey was very tasty; roll that sandwich was on was delicious! Gumbo was also great! Owner gave us a sample of potato salad and pinto beans. Those items were also delicious! Will definitely go back and have more! Thank you for the delicious food and wonderful service! Last but not least… I Love that you kept the Sinclair station to operate out of.

Google
Nice, cozy, and cool place to share a good meal. My wife had the Smoked Turkey Plate with potato salad and pinto beans (excellent). I had the Rafael Special (grilled catfish with rice and crawfish etouffee). Everything was very flavorful, and the service was top notch. Bread was fabulous! Loved the banana pudding for dessert! Took a sliced brisket sandwich to go for a great late night snack! Thank you! We’ll be back!

Jennifer Nichols

Google
Excellent Food and plenty of it on your plateand services very friendly staff. We will be back

Google
I've never been to Granbury before. It's a cute little town with lots of places to choose from when you're looking for a place to eat. I'm so glad we chose to eat here. It was soooo good! The banana pudding was AMAZING! If I'm ever back to this adorable little town, I'll definitely be back. I definitely recommend this place!

Google
The turkey sandwich (Sister Special) was delicious, as was the side order of potato salad. The included pinto beans were in the good/average range. Total: $18. Based on the food, I would give 5 stars. But I'm lowering the score to 3 stars due to having to leave my water bottle outside. The employee informed me that no outside food or drink was allowed. This is the first time I've had a restaurant not allow water to be carried in (they also do not have water cups).

Whitney Rogers

Google
This is our all time favorite place to eat in Granbury. The Sister Special is so so so good. We eat here any time we can. The staff is wonderful. The restaurant is clean and has a relaxed vibe. The outdoor seating is great on a not too hot day. We recommend this over any place in town.

Fritz K.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quick, delicious lunch this place is great! I had the catfish sandwich and it was really good. Service is friendly and efficient.

MandD L.

Yelp
Nothing special. What restaurant does not have tap water? One that forces you to buy a beverage. Greedy.

Christian N.

Yelp
Pearl street station really surprised me with everything I tried. The pulled pork was the most tender I've ever had. The rosemary chicken was extremely tasteful and paired perfect with the buns. The bbq sauce was phenomenal. The gentleman that owns the place was very nice and personable. 10/10 would come back again.

Lydia G.

Yelp
In town and had to try Texas BBQ. It is worth the hype! We went around 7pm and there was no wait and the food was super quick. I got the brisket which was good but the ribs were incredible. If I went back I would get the ribs.

Deb G.

Yelp
Melt in your mouth pulled pork sandwich on homemade bun. YUMMY. Service was excellent. Ambience was nice. Most definitely will eat here again.

Stacy B.

Yelp
Rude service...bland and expensive! My friend has a gluten allergy that is really severe. He told them and explained he has an allergy straight up before ordering. Not a no gluten preference it's an allergy since he was 5. Told the lady at the counter and the cook. They proceeded to bring the food out with A PIECE OF BREAD on top of the brisket. My friend tells her I can't eat this you put bread on top. She was very rude about it and my friend didn't feel like he could trust the food after that. The rest of the party got their food it was super bland and the meat was dried out. My husband was scolded for trying to get his own bbq sauce. Apparently you can't do that there. We will not be back.

Yelp
Update to my last review: I recently found our receipt for our last review and the bill was $54 + $2.16 (Non-Cash Adjustment) I guess this is an extra charge for using a credit card. Total was $56.26 + $11 tip was a total paid about $67 for lunch for our meal. Pretty pricey. We also suspected the aroma of barbecue on the grill that wafts through the air and lures you to the restaurant doesn't seem to match what you receive. There was no char on any of the meat so we wondered if the bbq is really cooked on a grill. With all that said we liked the food but for the price we won't be back bc almost $70 for lunch for 2 people for bbq will keep us looking. Also, the picture of the beans from 3 years ago showed pieces of bacon and onion but our had none of either and for $70 it should.

Blaney E.

Yelp
Overall a pleasant experience. Good Bar-B-Q, not great but, good. The potato salad was good, but the pintos and toast were loaded with jalapenos. I dont mind some heat but I would have likex to be able to choose. Service was good and the food came out quickly. I will come back.

Joe De D.

Yelp
So consistently good with entire menu. It is one of our staple places around the square. Highly recommend to anyone in Granbury.

David P.

Yelp
First visit today for my birthday, and have to say it was a wonderful treat that I plan to visit many times again!!! A family run operation, very courteous and cool vibe...and the food was wonderfully prepared and delicious! But next time, its all CAJUN for me!!! If their Etoufee is as amazing as the BBQ for lunch today, this will be on the short list of regulars for my dining adventures! As Spring comes upon us, get out of DFW and take the nice drive to Granbury, enjoy the shops on the Square...but make sure you give Pearl Street a visit!!! This place is legit, and you are supporting an establishment that keeps our treasures like Granbury prosperous and open!!! That fifth star will come once I try the Cajun food...and I am confident it will be a easy decision!

Rhonda D.

Yelp
Just so so. There are too many places in Granbury to choose. I had the crawfish etouffee. Hubs had the loaded baked potato. The broth of the etouffee was good. More like a soup than what I am used to. The crawfish were chewy. Not what I'm used to. The potato was not very loaded with meat and was bland. Probably won't go back here.

Chris J.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the Pearl Street Station. I had the coach. It was a very juicy turkey sandwich w bacon I believe as well as a great cheese. The beans there were awesome and homemade. I liked the potato salad. My wife loved her brisket Baker. She got all of the fixings. Just to let you know that they won't serve you tap water I. E. free water. The menu was very gourmet. Was a surprise in a way. It was very crowded but cozy when we went at lunch. My wife and I will definitely go back when in the area. Again It was very delicious.

Milicent B.

Yelp
Best Barbecue in Granbury!!!! Eat in or order take out. They made my Christmas Eve dinner a big hit.

Erin R.

Yelp
Food is so good! The have indoor and outdoor dining. Staff is super friendly, parking close is a no go but it's just a tiny walk thru the square or around the corner parking. The place is an old Sinclair gas station so the decor is awesome old school. The portions are good sized and all the sides are delicious, some of the best BBQ in Granbury!

Paul M.

Yelp
There are better places to eat near by. Would not recommend. Not a good value for your money. Grumpy manager. Unpleasant experience.

John C.

Yelp
A BBQ/Cajun restaurant that does not offer a BBQ/Cajun combination dish. There is seafood gumbo on the menu, just not served. The turkey and sausage gumbo is soup. Corn, peas, carrots, and Lima beans. There isn't a rue, it's a yellow broth. (See picture) The blackened catfish is barely seasoned and not blackened. I sent it back for a refund. (See picture) The potato salad is mashed potatoes with only onions, relish, mayo, mustard. Some may like it. Not for me. The texture isn't pleasant. The étouffée isn't spiced much and very soupy. The brisket was chopped and very good. Good warm BBQ sauce too. Good jalapeño toasted bread. I recommend mixing in some of the bottled Cajun pepper sauce with the BBQ sauce. It kicks it up a notch and is EXACTLY what you want for Cajun BBQ. Good smoked turkey! Bottom line: Order BBQ only. If Pearl Street Station ever infuses Cajun and BBQ...they'll be amazing. Start with mixing the sauces and go from there.

Nicki P.

Yelp
First off it's COVID safe - everyone was kind, well spaced and wore masks. There was hand sanitizer available and plenty of standing room. They also offer curbside. We did a to-go order from the counter. My husband got a BBQ sandwich. It was moist and delicious. The bread was phenomenal - soft and full of flavor. I got the Ragin' Cajun sandwich. The shrimp and coleslaw were both great. Not gonna lie, this got pretty messy because the bread didn't hold up well with how wet my sandwich was. However, totally worth it because I loved the bread. We both had a side of beans which were hot (temperature, not flavor) and tasty.

Don L.

Yelp
I stopped by here after listening to a great band at Bob's. I got the 2 meat plate because I didn't think I could finish the 3 meat plate... In a word, it was DELICIOUS ! The brisket was wonderful and the ribs were fall off the bone and very tender. I will never go back to the mesquite pit for BBQ after trying this place. The pit was mediocre at best, Pearl Street BBQ is easily the best I have tried in the G-bury area. The sides of green beans and potato salad were also very good (and I'm not usually a fan of potato salad). They also have catfish and cajun fare and I will definitely go back to try these dishes also. Try this place and you will be coming back !

Summer H.

Yelp
This is our fourth try at finding the place we always want to go when we come to Granbury, and WE HAVE FOUND IT. This place is so good. Their toasted jalapeño sourdough ciabatta bread is not anything I've ever heard of, but it absolutely makes the sandwiches. The sauce is really good. Sweet and spicy, it might finally solve the war between barbecue sauce preferences. We enjoyed the Two Sisters Special (turkey sandwich with mozzarella and lemon dill sauce, which sounds weird but dude, the sandwich is legit). Pulled pork, brisket, really good cole slaw, whipped potato salad like my grandma makes--this place is a winner! Oh, and its cute on the inside, too, not just a hole-in-the-wall.

Brad T.

Yelp
Exceptional good. Catfish with crawfish étouffée is dang good. Memphis pulled pork was awesome. They apparently do a great smoked Turkey sannich. Will try that next time. Awesome service.

Ken G.

Yelp
Okay, so I am in so my expectations for BBQ are understandably high. Pearl Steel exceeded those expectations. It is housed in aa awesomely refurbished Sinclair Gas Station. The restaurant was very clean. The owner and her husband were very friendly and welcoming. The best part was the food. I had a chopped BBQ brisket and my daughter had the sister special. Both sandwiches were phenomenal. The beans and potato salad were also fantastic. Definitely a place I will be returning to.

Cheyenne C.

Yelp
The BEST BBQ around! My family and I are weekly customers. I usually get their sliced brisket sandwich while my husband orders their "sister special" which is a savory turkey sandwich. They used to offer homemade banana pudding that was AMAZING! I haven't seen it in a while, so I'm hoping the owner will see this review and consider bringing it back because I know this customer would be so happy!

Chris B.

Yelp
Delicious Turkey Sandwich. I used their BBQ and hot sauce as a dip for the sandwich and man was it good. The sandwich was good on its on but the flavors of the two sauces took it a notch up. Service was quick and friendly.

Michael R.

Yelp
This place is a go to for lunch. Turkey sandwich on the jalapeño bun is incredible. Beans are great but kettle chips on hand for a quick grab and go. Great BBQ and great people. Always friendly!

Pamela C.

Yelp
Have been a regular customer here for years. Great food but recently the customer service has faltered - lots of 'do not' and 'no' signs everywhere, very rude lady at counter who seems to like her control more than steady business.

Michael W.

Yelp
Picked up sandwiches for me, the fiancée and her parents and they were a hit with all of us! Will definitely be bringing more family there very soon!

Vince A.

Yelp
The staff are so nice, as kind as they can be. Unfortunately for me the food was on the bland side, but this may be just what some people are looking for in their Cajun food.

Frank S.

Yelp
The billowing smoke coming from their smoker outside painted visions in my head that this was going to be that very special hand rubbed slowly smoked fully flavorful bbq that you often find in these smaller towns around Dallas. Brisket was moist for sure but lacked the attention of a true bbq master. No flavor and tasted like boiled meat. Maybe it was just my expectations that threw me off, but when I had to stop eating it i realized this bbq just wasn't for me.

Stephen L.

Yelp
Awesome as usual The smoked turkey sandwich on the jalapeño sourdough is just amazing. As welL, got the roasted chicken and super tasty and tender. Joined in on some ribs with a friend as well as the gumbo and beans. ALl was super flavorful. Ended it with the banana pudding which is killer and creamy.

Paula Y.

Yelp
For a family owned little grill, They are doing it right, KINDA! There were social distancing signs, the hostess is wearing gloves but no one has masks, tables are spaced out so you are not next to someone. They are doing curbside and to go and have a great menu. They have sanitizer at the counter. Drinks in bottles. Those with immunosuppressed could safely go if they monitor the lines to come in. Mine was to go so I did not observe if they will monitor numbers. The SMOKED TURKEY IS AMAZING

Kay T.

Yelp
Fast friendly service. Had the brisket on white sourdough w/pintos. Bread excellent, not at all dry. Brisket very lean & moist. Pintos good but not my favorite. Negatives-no onion & pickle w/the barbecue. Only 2 side choices, pintos or potato chips. All drinks in plastic bottles, etc. I want ice w/my cold drink! No liquor license so no beer w/your barbecue. As we venture to Granbury only occasionally probably won't return here.

Gaby M.

Yelp
My family loves Pearl Street! We love their BBQ sandwiches on the jalapeno bread! So yum!! We always use them for catering.

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Great food. The jalapeño bread is very very delicious. Lots of meat. Service was very good. No complaints Try them out

Maria W.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat when visiting the area. The turkey sandwich on the jalapeño bun is to die for!! I have yet to try something here that I didn't love. The potato salad is really good and so are the beans! Dessert options seem to change from one visit to the next but I've enjoyed them all! The atmosphere is relaxed and the unique set up and decor makes for a one of a kind experience. In a town that is growing rapidly, it's nice to enjoy a place that still feels small town and gives great customer service.

Marc P.

Yelp
Great BBQ and best Cajun in Granbury. Homemade Jalapeño bread is excellent. If you're REALLY hungry try a Bubba's Blowout.

Christina V.

Yelp
The recommendation was to try the smoked turkey sandwich w/ beans, so I gave it a try. The sandwich was good - the mozzarella and mayo (dill mayo?) worked well with the turkey and the meat itself wasn't overpowering. You have to try the beans - cooked with ham and jalapeños, they have a nice spice and were cooked just right that day, hence all Te stars.

Annie B.

Yelp
We recently visited and ordered a loaded baked potato with pulled pork. There were approximately 3-4 total bites of pork and the potato was clearly microwaved. The green beans were from a can with nothing special added. The atmosphere is cute but this isn't work your time or money.

Bruce H.

Yelp
Food was excellent. We had 3 sandwiches turkey, pulled pork and beef. All were outstanding and the bun was very good and fresh. Place is very clean and service was spot on. A little pricey but worth it. We will be back.

Dax D.

Yelp
Had the Bubba's Blowout which was wonderful. Great BBQ and great service. Nice comfortable converted gas station. Highly recommend!

Jessica N.

Yelp
My goodness! Amazing bbq! So tender, fall off the bone St. Louis ribs, potato salad that is whipped, bottomless pinto beans- mild spice. Cheddar jalapeno buns and toast there are no words other than my goodness!

David M.

Yelp
Happened in on a date with my wife - the place we wanted to go to had 'vent-a-hood' issues, so no luck. Was very very casual, spotless and service prompt. Now for the food - In a phrase. I'm hooked! Can't wait to go again!

Peter G.

Yelp
PSS is the best example of recycling there is in Historic Granbury. Originally a gas station, then vacant for many years, then a fireplace shop. My bad for not patronizing for a long time. Over Labor Day weekend we got a pound of brisket and a rib plate with 2 sides. For over 40 years I have considered Angelos in Ft Worth to have the best BBQ but PSS is very close and I save driving 35 miles. Plus they feed the preacher of the Presbyterian Church in exchange for them using the Church parking lot. And you can eat outside or in. Try it you'll like it.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Excellent! The Jalapeño cheddar bread ties everything together. Very nice staff. I will be back to try more menu items.

Tess P.

Yelp
We been here 4times. First come, with my family, 2nd time with friends, 3rd time with my in laws, 4th with my daughter. Over all experience was good. But every time we come here different experience. But on the other hand, their food was great. Specially their peach pie cobbler was A+...

Dennis J.

Yelp
We were driving around the square and smelled the bbq so we decided to stop. It was a good stop. We just had a bbq sandwich and it was very tasty. The bread and sauce were good too. Very casual and we enjoyed eating outside in the patio.

Dusty R.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for the first time. I have to say the chopped beef was delicious. But the friendly atmosphere was even better. We will be back. It fits our keto diet perfectly... good meat!

Kaylynn S.

Yelp
I got the Sister Special Sandwich and it was amazing! The turkey is so delicious as the jalapeño sourdough is absolutely scrumptious. The atmosphere was great and everyone was super friendly.

John Y.

Yelp
A little common courtesy is needed here. They refuse to provide water aside from making you purchase a bottle of it. They have cups, ice, and a tap at the counter. So it's really pathetic to force someone to buy a drink. How about you offer customers the option to pay $.50 and you'll let them use the water hose outside? Anything really would be an improvement over gouging or refusing customers. Treat your customers better. Oh, and that turkey sandwich was really good.

Kellie H.

Yelp
The food here is really good we eat here a lot but the tea from the tea machine is terrible. I can't understand why they don't just brew some tea. After our first visit we knew to just get a bottle of water. Sometimes, I go there just for the beans because they are perfectly cooked and never over salted. A nicely brewed, tall glass of ice tea could make a big difference in this dinning experience.

Lisa F.

Yelp
Extremely good brisket and beans. Staff is knowledgeable about gluten sensitivities. Meat seasonings and sauces are gluten-free (GF). Atmosphere is nice, temp is comfortable, and the place is clean. It is a little spendy for barbecue but given the great location and the quality of the food, definitely worth it.
