Pearl's on the corner

We’ve been waiting for Pearl’s to open and I must say it’s a welcome addition to Fishtown’s food and bar scene. We have visited a couple of times and the vibe / music has been fantastic. The space is beautiful and they always plays the best music balancing the old schools tunes bringing you back as well as the newer jams. The cocktails have been impressive both times. We appreciate a well made cocktail you’d be willing to walk and pay for. On our last visit, we finally got to try the food. I’ve been waiting to try the mussels and they didn’t disappoint. Flavorful white wine curry broth accompanied with freshly toasted baguettes. The truffle burger may be the best burger in fishtown and we leveraged the fries to scoop up the rest of the curry broth. Ask for a spoon to enjoy all of it and while it’s hot! Finally, I was pleasantly surprised to recover my purse I left on the chair when I discovered it was missing the next day. The owner Doug promptly responded to my frantic messages and had it arranged with his crew for me to pick it up. I’ve been in Fishtown for over 15 years and sadly it has had a bad rep when it comes to safety so feeling like you don’t have to look over your shoulder or worry about your belongings at a bar is short of a miracle. Thank you Doug and all of your staff for paving the way to rebrand our neighborhood and make it a safer place. The staff and the bartenders are super friendly and everyone provides outstanding service. Pearl’s is definitely my new favorite Fishtown spot for great vibes, a perfect nightcap and good food. Can’t wait for my next visit and to try more of what the menu has to offer. Keep up the good work!

Our group of 3 had a great time at Pearl's . We tried 6 different cocktails, 2 appetizers, and 3 entrees between us, all of which were delicious. Standouts for us were the Back to Black cocktail, Spicy Margarita, and Scallop Crudo (which I excitedly took a bite of before remembering to take a photo). The owners and staff were super friendly, and the Eagles game was on the TV at the bar. Pearl's definitely fills a hole on Frankford Ave for a classy, yet still fairly casual and inviting, corner bar and restaurant.

We really loved the mussels and the burger - that truffle oil was really delicious! The service was fast and friendly. We didn’t love the crab dip with ritz crackers, but it also wasn’t bad! Just right in the middle. It’s an elevated dive bar all in all and we will be back! Great drinks too! Thank you so much!

I finally got to try this restaurant today, and I have to say I was very disappointed with the food. Nothing we ordered was good, especially considering the price we paid. The mussels were overcooked and dry. The gnocchi were way too soft. The fries were soggy, and the portion of scallops was very small. The French toast loaf tasted like something you could buy from the grocery store. The drinks were pretty strong, though.

I was very excited for the opening of Pearl’s and I was not disappointed. The food was incredible! I’ve had the many dishes there, my favorites being the shrimp roll, gnocchi and the dessert! The service could use some tweaking but overall everyone has been very attentive and friendly! The vibes are exactly what the neighborhood needs!

Great quality drinks and surprisingly amazing food menu. This is the type of touch fishtown has been missing. I can’t wait to go back this will be my new spot! Only gave 4 stars because there’s limited seating for a weekend.

Went back to back nights. Sat down right away with a two top the first night and then waited fifteen minutes for a four top the next day. It’s an A+ type of place that you can just walk into and get great food and drinks without a reservation, something that’s increasingly impossible in town. Tempura was a table favorite. Service was great.

The first time I went for drinks and it was just ok, but figured I would try again. The drinks were good, but overpriced. Also didn’t like that there was a 3% charge for the kitchen staff when I didn’t even order food. The kitchen should be paid appropriately without charging customers for it.
