Peel & Press is such a gem. Their pizza is great. Fluffy yet crunchy crust. Great flavor and generous cheese. Service is always super friendly and attentive. There's not a ton of seating, but we have always lucked out.

I picked this place because someone else gave them a rave review on gluten free pizza and a margarita. They play good music. One restroom was out of order. The other was just a little unpleasant. The whole place needs updating. The benches in the booths are all torn up. It’s dimly lit, but if you pay attention to detail you can see the need for updates. The bartender greeted me and I sat down in a booth. She was quick to get my order and brought my drink. They have a cool drink menu and I went with the G.I.F. (Girl From Ipanima). The waitress basically tossed my pizza on the table and took off but she turned back when I thanked her. I sensed there was some tension in the place. The smell of pizza is heavenly. The toppings were great but the crust was so thin and hard, I could barely cut it. I realize that’s probably not their fault. I hope they find a better one. I finished my drink. The server offered a box, I said yes please. She came back with my pizza in a bix and tossed the check in the table and grabbed my empry drink glass and my unfinished water. Wow. She never asked if I wanted another drink (I don’t because I’m driving), but she could have left my water while I sit here and wait for her to come back and get my payment. At this time, all the business is at the bar. I’m the only fool sitting at a table waiting for her to come back.

This is a great pizza spot! The crust is chewy and delicious, jalapenos are fresh and not canned, and the pepperoni is huge and not overly greasy. We were very happy with our pizza and had to resist eating the whole pie in one sitting.

What a find!!! My sister has been raving about this place for many months now and we finally found some time to check it out. First impression. It looked dead but i guess It was a weekday and people were just getting off work. Eventually it picked up. We got margaritas. Not the best but also not bad. The food was so good!!! The pizza was sooooo cheesy and one of the best I've had. The crab cake was also scrumptious. We cannot wait to be back!

Google
The appetisers were fantastic, we had crab cake and garlic bread, both serving were quite large. The pasta were okay, didn't try the pizza but it looked good on other people's table. The place is clean and service was nice but could be more friendly and personal. I would go back and try other food.

Google
4.7 stars is roughly right. Great pizza alert - miles better than anything nearby. After disappointing pies elsewhere, I tried the very inconspicuous Peel & Press. Blink while going past and you'll miss it - but don't. I won't recommend any other place in West Seattle right now, save Proletariat. Toppings abundant. Cheese, way to be Peel & Press, you get that we buy pizza FOR THE CHEESE. And you do not disappoint. As for the dough/crust, very good, not bad, but look, overall it's very good. Price is a tad higher than Proletariat, and far more a value than Supreme. Look, this is probably West Seattle's best pizza right now. Unfortunately when all you guys figure this out, Ima have a much harder time getting my green pepper, onion and sausage fix. Peel & Press, you rock. I will be back soon and hope this awesome pizza was not a fluke. Looking forward to it again! Thank you!! 2022 visit update: their pepperoni rocks, too!

Google
Good Italian food, good wine & good beer choices, good location in west Seattle. Good grief locals!!! Why aren’t you eating here. We enjoyed the lasagna, Alfredo with chicken, spicy penne, and oil & anchovies with side of sausage. Big portions, great flavor. I will go back next trip to Seattle.

Google
The service was great. Huge shout-out to them because there was only one server and she was killing it. The food was okay. Our table ordered the garlic bread and it was fine, but four pieces of toast isn't really garlic bread. Our pizza was fine as well, the crust was done but the toppings were at most room temp. A very average pizza, but not worth $30. The restaurant itself needs some TLC. There was only one working bathroom, there was a ton of clutter when we went in, the table we sat at had this massive crack down the middle and all of the seats were torn and ripped. Overall, a very okay experience.

Yelp
This is for take out so I'll give it another shot in person. Maybe. Pizza is good so maybe only order that if you come. I was excited to try the "hand rolled gnocchi". This is definitely from a package. I only ordered it because it stated hand rolled. Boo. Parm twists are extremely dry and taste old almost?. Skip on those too. House salad is greens with a few random carrot shreds lol. Skip on that too. Kinda bummed out.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try the West 5 mac and cheese but sadly, the only thing theirs has in common with the original is the type of pasta. No flavor, was definitely missing at least one of the cheeses, and it wasn't baked. I couldn't finish it. The place could use a good refresh and cleaning. Most of the seating is ripped and worn, drab paint, and the restroom was very filthy. Even the toilet scrubber canister was dirty. These are things I'd expect to see in a dive bar. Service was non-existent once we got our food and drinks. Staff seemed more into chatting together then checking in and bringing by the check. We like this neighborhood and it would be great if they put some effort into the restaurant. Will be a while before we go back.

Jayleen M.

Yelp
Food was kinda gross. The cheese on my pizza was thick, goopy, and a little undercooked. Low quality, cheap ingredients. The salad had some rotten bits in it. The bathroom smelled bad and had a broken soap dispenser and broken paper towel dispenser. The furniture was warn out and uncomfortable. The server was definitely "over it." Edible but not good.

A. W.

Yelp
Recently ate there with out-of-town friends. I had pasta, which quite good, and my friends enjoyed their meals. More recently, a friend and I dined there. She really liked her pizza, and my crab cakes were good, though a bit heavy on the filler and light on the crab. Overall, still really good food, great atmosphere, and convenient parking in the back.

Yelp
I have been a fan of Peel & Press since 2016 when I first came here with my partner and his older gay-couple friends. They were West Seattle residents for the longest time and thought we would love it...and they were right! First, the service is impeccable. Tonight, we ordered a large pizza. The owner came out right before our pie did and said he had good and bad news. The good news was they were giving us a second pizza. The bad news was that they accidentally made our pizza small instead of large. Big who cares!? I told him we were super happy with our small pizza and happy to pay for it! He insisted they already put the second pie in the oven. Who does that? Only an exceptionally customer-minded business owner who truly cares about the experience of his customers. Second, every time we have come, we always have this strange and awesome experience of someone super nice who have been outwardly friendly toward us. Tonight, this guy next to us invited us to his show, The Seattle Pun-Off. Prior to that, this couple heard us talking about living in WS without kids, and he and his wife started talking us up and told us about their favorite spots for non-kid people. Last, the food is bomb. Fresh toppings. Doughy delicious crust. Super stringy mozz cheese. Pretty much everything you want in pizza. Get your butt in here and support these awesome West Seattle humans!!

Yelp
I feel good about supporting a local business, food 'this time' was really not up to standard..but may have just the evening??? It won't stop me from returning... food quality is top notch

Yelp
Went here to check out a new pizza spot and fresh juice cocktails. Told to sit down wherever upon coming in by a bar regular instead of staff noticing us. Took a while to get water. Eventually our server comes over to take our drink order, and so far everything seems fine if not a bit slow. Maybe 15 or 20 minutes goes by before our drinks show up (mind you, not busy at all in the dining room), my girlfriend gets hers and I'm told they don't have the ingredients to make mine so I choose a different drink. No worries, I work in the industry, I get it, but I assumed since they didn't have my first choice, they'd make an effort to expedite my replacement drink. I kid you not, 40 minutes pass before my drink shows up and my girlfriend had long since already finished hers. I'm mildly freaking out but trying to keep it to myself but legitimately the slowest and most neglectful service I've ever experienced. Seems the only people getting any service at all were the bar regulars, who were getting new drinks by the score before me. So... become a regular and sit at the bar and maybe the experience here is better? Only redeeming factor is that the pizza I ordered was pretty good. Girlfriend got gnocchi which she described as mid. We had also ordered crab cakes as an appetizer that never showed up, but given the extraordinary waits we just cut our losses and accepted it for what it is. Prices are super reasonable, but they must factor in the poor service to make up for it. So yeah, just terrible service. Not busy at all, bunch of messy tables that hadn't been bussed and when new people walked in, server explained that she hadn't gotten to clearing tables because "oh it's just been so crazy and busy" I'm like girrrl in what universe are you living in? There's like three tables in here and not even many to go orders getting made (which is more a stress on the kitchen than front of house anyway). Would not recommend.

Yelp
I have been an avid Peel and Press fan since they opened. While I still think they make good pizza and have okay customer service, the ambience is terrible. In the beginning staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Now they can be very slow and wait times for things like drink refills and the check can be too much. The most recent time, our server was more attentive than the last two times before that. The place looks like a dump. The bathroom was filthy which gives me pause about the places the public doesn't see. I actually didn't even use their bathroom even though I needed it. The dining room is run down. The booth seats are shredded and paint is scruffed off the wall. The floors are dirty. I'm really sad to say that it's unpleasant being in this restaurant now. I used to bring guests in and won't do that anymore. I'm bummed because I felt like this was turning into a true neighborhood gem. Something happened in the last few years, and the last few times I've gone in, I felt uncomfortable inside. New, clean and interesting pizza restaurants are in the area and until Peel and Press cleans it up, I'm going to have to prioritize them.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to check out Peel and Press for a date night not too long ago. I found them on Yelp and decided to check them out due to their good reviews and extensive menu. The inside is cute. It's definitely a darker, romantic vibe so it's perfect for date night but could also be great for meeting up with friends. Service wasn't overly friendly but wasn't rude either. Their HH is 3 - 5:30, which we had made it in time for. I got a glass of red wine which was good, and my husband went with an IPA they had on tap. During HH the vessel wines are $6, and you can get a Rainier tall boy for $3. Can't beat that! They've got a few food selections under HH as well that range from $6-$8 that sounded good. The dinner menu is pretty great. There's a ton of pasta and pizza options which was perfect because I wanted pasta and my husband ended up getting pizza, so we each shared a little bit of both. The Carbonara is pretty amazing. Lots of flavor, super creamy, and just downright delicious! For $15, it's not too spendy and you get a good amount. We ended up taking home leftovers. For pizza, we weren't all that impressed. My husband got the Pig and Pineapple and it was just okay. For $17 for a pizza we definitely expected better. I prefer Dominos over the pizza here. However, their crust is really good. The waiter told us they brickfire their pizzas which is interesting and you can definitely taste the difference. I'd return for pasta and HH, but who knows - maybe there's pizza on the menu that really is amazing!

Yelp
I'd been meaning to try this place & after fasting a day and a half for a medical procedure, I decided to give this place a try. We ordered the spinach salad, garlic bread with cheese & chicken Parmesan. The salad & bread were fine, the chicken was passable, too. Not the best chicken parm I've had but, okay. Not worth $24.95. The pasta that came with the chicken, though, wow. The restaurant decided to deviate from the traditional marinara sauce & added what appeared to be an attempt at pesto. The pasta was gummy and flavorless. Mind you, I was starving and I threw the pasta away. It was that bad. Never again

Darnell M.

Yelp
I like this fun local bar. Fun place to go to for a quiet date night. I like the lighting in the place as well as the service. They always have great snacks and drinks.

Anne W.

Yelp
We love this little neighborhood place. Great food, cozy atmosphere. We would definitely go back again

Ashley H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great wait staff, good food. Went for brunch, we got the eggs Benedict with bacon and a personal pizza with prosciutto, Italian sausage, and jalapeños. The pizza was a great the eggs Benedict was good but don't think it was handmade hollandaise which would make it better. The jalapeño Marry's are interesting and hit the spot. They also have a few beers on tap.

Donna B.

Yelp
The pizza is thicker than I like it but tastes good, but they claim to make gluten free pizza but twice we have gotten it and BOTH times our celiacs got sick!! Never again which unfortunately keeps us away.

Jason F.

Yelp
I rarely go back and re-review a place. And, it is difficult for me to do this, but my experience with Peel and Press has been so inconsistent that I needed to update my review. I've really wanted the food to be great, as it was when we first started going, but unfortunately I think there's a new chef or something and now we are finding the food quite bland and not tasty. Yes, restaurants have off days, and so we thought, so we kept going back (3x) but with no different results. The service continues to be great, but for some reason the pasta dishes that we got yesterday and even the garlic bread were very flavorless. We had a good run Peel and Press, we wish you the best!

Pete D.

Yelp
With Credo going out of business we had to find a new pizza/pasta place. First impressions were pretty good, but a few observations. First, the Ceasar salad was good but the croutons were stale. (ouch). Next, the bolognaise had good sauce but they used Lingiuni noodles instead of broad noodles. (strike 2). Next, the pizza was good. Really good crust but low quality mozzarella. Also, if it's just you and your honey, you dont need to order the large. Waitress was very friendly and personable. In the end I will recommend and I will probably be back. Salute!

Cory H.

Yelp
Best pizza in west Seattle, plus staff is always friendly. My go to pizza for the past 4 years now.

Michelle N.

Yelp
Don't let the 4-star rating for this place deceive you. I often crave and enjoy good pizza and pasta, but this place is mediocre at best. It was later in the night, and we had just arrived at our Airbnb from our flight to Seattle from Los Angeles. We were starving, so we searched through Yelp, and this place showed up nearby with glowing reviews and a good rating. As soon as we walked in, I started to realize that 4-star rating is not right with this dim of an atmosphere in a restaurant. I decided to give the place a chance rather than just judging it from the vibe. After 10 minutes of waiting, we ordered the carbonara pasta and the "Pizza Bianco" with sausage and olives. This took about 25-30 minutes to arrive. Our excitement of receiving food eventually turned into disappointment. Usually if you are really hungry, most of the food you eat will taste even better. That did not happen here. The carbonara was too creamy, too chunky, and too heavy. I only ate about a 1/4 of the plate, and I was already sick of it. Then, the pizza was nothing special. It tasted like frozen pizza and the crust was too chewy. For this quality of food, the prices are also too high with this pizza costing about $20 alone. Next time I go to Seattle, this is not a place I will be revisiting.

Lisa B.

Yelp
We placed an order at 6 pm Tuesday for a 6:30 pick up. They were really nice. Unfortunately, the linguine was over cooked, the pizza was undercooked, both crust and veggies, and the marinara sauce was plain. Maybe there are some under trained new staff in the kitchen? Hopefully they can review and improve.

Karen J.

Yelp
100 % reliably delicious food and always stellar service. The quality, quantity and and authenticity of the dishes served here never disappoints. Support this business if for no other reason than phenomenal food. But there are so many more reasons. Go in and see for yourself! The gnocchis, the bruschetta, the pizzas, the lasagna, the pizza roll things. All too good to be missed! Mangia!!

Bob J.

Yelp
Stopped in looking for some good pizza. Pizza was dull not a lot of flavor, as well as too doughy. Was not crispy enough of an undercarriage, reminded me of a pie you would get from dominos. Cannot find quality pizza in west Seattle since moving here unfortunately. Staff was friendly and the service was great. The place was clean and inviting. I respect the effort but the pizza just didn't make the cut boys.

Eric W.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times with different small groups and we always had great food and service. P&P is a nice little asset to west seattle and in a great location in the Morgan junction. I wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend them to other's. Definitely try one of their signature cocktails because they actually have a mixologist behind the bar and not just someone mixing college dorm punches like a lot of places.

Erin J.

Yelp
Peel and Press is my go-to West Seattle spot for pasta when I'm too lazy to make it myself. I always get the Pasticciata: linguine, Bolognese, cream, mozzarella, and ricotta. I just adore their bolognese. It's meaty with noticeable bits of carrot, giving it an ever-so-mild sweetness. The cream and ricotta mixed in makes it even more luscious. The pasta is generally al dente, and the portion overall is generous. It's a winner. If you stop in here during happy hour (recommended: $5 wells and $2 off their cocktails!), the classic rollups are another must-order. They're pepperoni, sausage, and mozzarella rolled up into thin and perfectly crispy little dough pockets, served with marinara. They are addictive! I've also tried the pizza but I probably wouldn't gravitate towards it again. I like uber thin crust, and their pizza was just too thick and doughy for my taste. That said, I know plenty who enjoy it that way. Service can be a little slow depending on how busy it is, but it's always friendly. The restaurant itself is really cute. Overall a wonderful little West Seattle spot!

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Besides serving Stumptown Coffee this little pizza place has a mean Caesar salad on Happy Hour for $6. I just go for the salad so I don't have anything to saw about their pizza. I love the serve prompt and friendly. I'd say you'd be safe to give them a try.

Carson L.

Yelp
Very good pizza, but sneaky good place for cocktails as well. Get a pizza to-go, sip on a spirit while the pie cooks, and life gets a little bit easier.

Logan F.

Yelp
Went the oTher night for dinner, we ordered a pasta bolognese and a carbonara and neither were identifiable as such. The meat in the bolognese, what little of it there was, was unseasoned. The sauce was a spicy vodka sauce. Very disappointing. The carbonara simply didn't taste good. The pancetta (though I suspect it was not) was overcooked and the sauce was bland. The garlic twists were the only things worth eating.

David B.

Yelp
This is what we were missing in NY pizza. Mario's in good but pretty greasy good. This is high quality ingredients, bendable crust pizza. First rate toppings and not the cardboard crust of Pagliacci's This place should be packed all the time . The salads are thoughtful with crisp lettuce and prime add ons. Not a huge fan of the more tart bruschetta, but some may like it more. Now calling for take outs as much as we can despite the few mile drive. Treat yourself to real pizza.

Sara M.

Yelp
I don't understand. Maybe this was an off night, (and i'm already putting into account that i ordered through uber eats, and to go is never as good,) but everything we ordered was bland and tasted frozen. the carbonara is definitely just alfredo with like 4 pieces of bacon. Like literally we spent $100 for two people and got a couple of appetizers in addition to the carbonara and the prosciutto pizza. and everything was disappointing.

Natalie D.

Yelp
This is a review of their pasta only. My first experience here was stellar, with a bang-up pesto gnocchi and one of the best Alfredo I've ever had. Based on that experience alone I would have given this place 5 stars. But then... this next order was absolutely awful, 1-star. So I gave them three as the average, but the kitchen needs to work on consistency. The Carbonara was curdled and over sauced, and had WAY too many red onions. Who puts onion in carbonara anyway? The pancetta was funky smelling - I picked it all out of the dish because I was afraid to eat it. The Caesar was wilted in spots, and the arugula was straight up slimy. Whoever put those greens in their to-go boxes clearly doesn't give af. The spaghetti with meatballs was flavorful, but for an extra $4 PER MEATBALL I would expect more than this little golfball they gave me. What a rip off, come on guys, beef is pretty cheap this is a joke. Be careful going here - could be great or could be terrible. I hope they address this soon because I live right around the corner and there aren't a ton of good food spots down here. I'll update my review if things change.

Russell N.

Yelp
Best in West Seattle. My son's go-to is the Carbonara - which never fails to disappoint.

Elena L.

Yelp
One of our favorite places. The people are such amazing members of the community, and the food is spectacular. Their spicy marinara pasta is otherworldly, and every pizza I have had has been 10/10. So lucky to have the in the neighborhood!

Daria D.

Yelp
Outstanding customer service! The best cocktails in West Seattle, try the one with peach liquor! Also, pizza with artichokes is fantastic! My favorite vegetarian option!

Johanna H.

Yelp
Great service and the pizza was perfect!!! It was hot and crispy!!! Ordered the bigger size just to have leftovers!!!

Cassie L.

Yelp
Meh. The pizza is fine, the service - not so much. There's much better places in the area so I'd probably pass on this one. We came in at 5:20- 10 minutes before happy hour ended and weren't helped until 5:30. Bummer. We had to place our own order at the bar and no one checked in during our time there. It's super dark and the bathrooms are dingy too. There were three servers/bartenders there and everyone looked depressed. Paid. Left. Won't be going back.

John P.

Yelp
Three types of wine tonight Pico Array Cellars Chardonnay And Chris is our server tonight. Antipasti tonight along with carbonara and Margherita pizza. All the food was absolutely incredible!! Service is incredible! We will definitely be back here.

Tim D.

Yelp
Nice staff, good food, parking lot in back (rare in this part of West Seattle). I've been here a couple times now. The service is good. The layout is decent. The seating could use a little more cushioning. The Pasticciata is delicious. I can honestly say it's one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The meatball I got with it was large, and tasty. The texture of the meatball was a little on the smooth side for my taste. It was very velvet-like. (Which I'd imagine some people prefer, but I like meatballs to still have a ground-beef texture.) The Pizza Roll-ups were a bit odd, and not exactly what I was expecting, but tasty. I keep ordering them, even though I know it means I'll be taking some of my entree home with me. The pizza sliders were quite good. The bruschetta is very good. The only cons, and the missing star come from two things: 1. It's a touch on the spendy side. I get that you pay for quality, but it feels a touch on the pricey side. Then again, I just paid $11 for the most decently sized personal pizza I've seen. (Larger than most personal pizzas, and the really loaded the meat on it.) 2. The beer selection doesn't really contain things I drink. I tried the brown ale, and wasn't enthused with it. I don't like hoppy beers. I'm more of a bock, tripel, stout, or porter guy. The Tieton cider they have on tap is decent, but on the dry end of ciders. Their signature mixed drinks are decent, but I'd like to see a little more variety there as well. Overall, I really like this place, and I keep going back to try other things. So there ya go.

Mary A.

Yelp
Peel and Press has been a favorite of ours ever since they first opened their doors in our neighborhood. I went in yesterday to give a little extra love after they were broken into (yes they were broken into during this pandemic, unbelievable) and I waited probably 20 minutes longer than the time they said it would be ready - overall, I waited probably 30 min because I came early because usually they are beyond fast with orders and I usually pick it up early! The guy behind the counter came up to me to tell me that he voided my transaction to apologize for the wait time to which I had to say "PLEASE CHARGE ME!!" Amazing customer service on top of amazing food during a pandemic? That's just going above and beyond - thank you so much for providing our neighborhood with amazing food and service but for also being wonderful human beings in the process. Love you forever!!

Julia M.

Yelp
Happened to sit next to the owner of this place at the outdoor concert series at the park and he gave us 3 boxes of pizza they didn't finish. So kind! Pizza was great and we can't wait to dine in and try the crust fresh from the oven. Love businesses run by nice people. Update: have now dined in and loved it again. In addition to pizza, they also have pasta that's made from scratch, which I wasn't expecting. I love that they brought a book for my toddler to read! Never seen that at a restaurant and it was a nice touch.

Jane F.

Yelp
More of a 3.5. First off, when a HH time frame ends at 5:30, you might as well call it frowny hour...you know that feeling you get when you walk in thinking it is still HH and then you look at your watch and you immediately pout because the time indicated on the menu had already passed? Yah that..) Most HH should be til at least 6pm so that's my first rant about this place. Secondly, price point is pretty high. I had a pizza and 2 cocktails, an hour later yah..approximately $45 for myself. Okay, not all is bad about Peel & Press. I must say that their cocktail is SUPER delicious! I think I got the grapefruit press. Made with aperol, prosecco, and fresh pressed grapefruit juice. So good I got 2, although it was $9 each! Again, expensive, but it was good. I do like this place overall, just the price is unappetizing. If coming back, I would probably try their pasta dishes..

Jeff H.

Yelp
Peel and Press is a great spot if you're looking to build your own slice of pizza during lunch or needing to check out a place for happy hour. The prices are very reasonable and the food and drinks are very tasty. You might be wondering, why not a higher star level? Allow me to explain; they advertise fresh squeezed juice for all their drinks, but what they don't tell you is they charge an extra $2 per drink for the juice in addition to the cost of the drink. For example, I ordered a greyhound, and was charged separately for the booze AND for the juice. The fresh squeezed juice is nice, but NOWHERE do they tell you about the extra charge. Now, it's $2, so it isn't the cost, merely the principal. Imagine if you came in with a larger group, say six people, and everyone ordered a drink. That's an additional $12 a round that you wouldn't be aware of until the check arrives. Now that you know about the juice hangup, please stop in because the food really is worth the trip!

Emily C.

Yelp
My husband and I had high hopes for this restaurant. We always walked/drove past it and commented on how cute it looked. We finally went for dinner and were incredibly disappointed. Our appetizer was cold and both of our pasta dishes were a disappointment. My Alfredo was way overdone and my husbands ravioli was chewy and had a rubber like texture. Our waiter barely cracked a smile and seemed pissed off every time he came to our table. The only positive thing to say was the good service from the other staff who were filling our water cups and giving us the check. Honestly, just don't waste your money on this place. The bill was close to $80. Not worth it whatsoever!

Yelp
Quiet, local, personable, and tasty place to eat. I haven't had much on the menu. I am a creature of habit and when I find something I enjoy eating, I normally keep getting the same thing.....my girlfriend hates it but hey, she adventurous and I know what I like :). If you're curious what I get....the Chicken Ravioli.....mmmmmm (with no Parsley because who needs garnish)....and a Top Cutter IPA. Pony up to the bar, ask for Alex or Chris, get a cocktail, order the ravioli, snack on some fresh bread, and tell stories your past, riding beautiful majestic stead's through the mysts of Valhalla.

Yelp
New to the area and saw this place was close by. Pizza was awesome and customer service was great! Can't wait to make this place one of my regular spots when i'm in the mood for pizza!

Yelp
Gotta say, I was expecting this place to be good, not as awesome as it is! Got both pizza (the Meaty) and pasta (spicy pancetta), and both were amazing. Also learned quite a bit talking to both Chris & Sofie about their craft; very knowledge and friendly to converse with! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Do not eat here if you have a gluten intolerance or have celiac disease. I have eaten here twice and gotten sick twice. I am gluten intolerant. I ordered gf pasta and paid the ridiculous up charge of $3 to add chicken and ate the food (which does taste good but you get a lot of pasta and like 3 tiny pieces of chicken in your meal) which also required a ton of Parmesan bec the pasta sauce was rather bland and spent the next 2 days sick as heck. I thought I'd give them another try and order a gluten free pizza but got sick again. This place isn't cheap either. I don't mind spending the money but not to get sick. Apparently they have never heard of using separate pots to boil gf noodles or putting the pizza in the oven off the bricks to AVOID gluten contaminaton. Note to owner- stop advertising you offer gluten free bec apparently you don't know how to cook that way. I'm gluten intolerant and not eating gf to be trendy or lose weight it's serious and they need to either stop lying and saying they offer gluten free or take some cooking lessons from someone who can explain that gluten is not killed by heat and what contamination means. Shame on your restaurant. Plus this place is overpriced for what you get anyways. The $3 upcharge for chicken on my pasta what a joke. I got about 3 pieces of rubbery chicken with my pasta. It's really disappointing or us gf people. Just like Zeeks pizza who also says we have gf crust .... don't eat there either got gluten poisoning from their pizza too. A gluten allergy is a serious thing and this establishment needs to learn what that means or stop their false advertising immediately. Shame on you and your over priced food.

Yelp
Met up with the boys there Sunday for some dinner & drinks. Being a teetotaler these days, I opted for the delicious iced tea. My glass was never empty, despite my chugging. We all started with salads. I asked for the "least salady" offering & was informed the antipasto was served on a bed of lettuce, perfect! It was a delicious blend of meats & cheese that did have some tasty greens underneath. We also had the amazing roll-up, without a doubt one of the best appetizers in Seattle! By the time "The House" pizza arrived we were well on our way to being stuffed. It's deliciousness gave us a 2nd wind though & we housed The House (save for 1 slice I squirreled away for the morning) in short order. The next morning I made my classic hangover pizza + fried egg. Breakfast is the true test of quality pie, Peel & Press passed with flying colors!

Yelp
We have both dined-in and ordered out from Peel and Press. It is disappointing to have to leave a less-than-stellar review, since there is so much potential here. The crust is great. So is the sauce. However, they almost comically smother the pizza in cheese, which hides all the other ingredients. Just like Chicago-style pizza is really a pizza-flavored casserole, I'd classify Peel & Press's offering as a pizza-flavored cheese. We gave Peel & Press another try last night and repeatedly asked for "light cheese". We still had a ridiculous amount of the white stuff. So, this is definitely the place to go if you LOVE extra cheese on your pizza.
