Food is authentic and service is friendly. The restaurant is old fashioned, but very nicely designed and food is palatable even for Chinese.

*2nd time coming here* We Ordered the lunch combo #4 (comes with chowmein,egg fried rice,sweet&sour chicken)and Combo#5(comes with chowmein, Egg fried rice,Beef broccoli), 2 side order of sweet and sour soup, pan pacific wontons( basically crab rangoons), side of egg rolls. Everything together was 47$, still pretty good pricing. Combo #4 had well seasoned chicken,the perfect amount of sauce and vegetables(bell peppers&onion), the Chow mein was delicous and not oily could have used a bit more garlic though(my preferance), the egg fried rice was soft,not dry and the egg was fluffy,very well seasoned. Nothing is underseasoned or over seasoned.Combo #5 the beef Broccoli had enough sauce, the beef was tender and moist, the broccoli was cooked perfectly, soft but still has crunch to it. The sweet and sour soup was perfect,tangy,lots of flavor,good tofu not mushy. The pacific wonton were crunchy and moist inside, creamy and the faux crab was delicous, the creamcheese does not overpower the taste of the seasoning. The egg rolls were delicous, stuffed with veggies and mushrooms, not soggy or bitter like other places have had, the sweet sour sauce it comes with is delicous and not overly sweet. We got takeout so I can't say much for inside but everything did look clean and very nice. The Miss at the front was very friendly and super nice.

Excellent service and food. Hunan or Sichuan style of Chinese food with appeal to American tastes. Restaurant has been in Stockton since 1979, so I've passed by it thousands of times without ever noticing it until 2022. The clientele is overwhelmingly non-Asian. We liked the Peking Family Style for 3 people and the Mandarin Family Style was delicious as well. Sizzling Rice Soup is amazing and I've only encountered this dish at this place. The Peking Ravioli are handmade. Good value for the prices.

I have tried so many Chinese food restaurants and this is the only one that really feels authentic and it's the most delicious. The staff is very attentive and friendly. This has been our go to restaurant since we moved to Stockton two years ago and it never fails. They have a great establishment!!

The foods are ok, the price is average, the server is nice. The lunch combo portion is a lot. They charge hot tea for $2.00

This place is a no for me...food was passable but just barely. Service was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. The restaurant itself is dark, dank and kind of depressing and in much need of an update. With so many other Chinese options around I highly doubt I'd return.

It's been a few years since we came to this location. I am disappointed with the amount of food that is given. We ordered two things of Mongolian beef and both containers were less than half way full.

Best fried chicken. Nice and crispy Garlic Eggplant and house chow mein are the best.

Peking is my go to place for family gatherings. If you book ahead of time, you can order everyone's favorite and the food is delicious. Affordable prices for large groups - 10+ and excellent service

My family has been going here before I was even thought of. It's been my favorite ever since I was little. Introduced my boyfriend to this spot & it's been his favorite place to go. Baby on the way so it will definitely be shown to generations ! The food is definitely good & the waitress is the best! Always remembered me as a little girl with my mom and dad to now going with my boyfriend. She remembers our exact order every time. Hands down the best spot for Chinese food. No place can compare.

TRASH! Don't know what happened to this place. No diners inside, customer service bad, but the portion of food they try to pass off for almost $30.00! Was a joke! I immediately took my order back and got full refund! Never again with this dump. Zero stars

Our visit today made our Mother's Day Perfect. From the time we entered the restaurant we were treated to Excellent Service from everyone we came in contact with. We ordered Fried Wontons for an appetizer they arrived and we were able to enjoy them while our meal was prepared. Everything came out perfectly prepared and delicious. The restaurant was clean and inviting as well as having a relaxed and casual atmosphere. We will definitely be returning

The service was horrible! She was extremely aggressive to the customer and the workers there in the back making food! Mind you the workers are 60 yrs old and she yell at them in front tod everyone. She took over the back and my food was uncooked! Never in my life will I come there again!

The best Chinese food we've had in Stockton! Food is made to order. Nice and fresh when served. Everything has been so tasty, and the staff are so friendly! They have the best hot and sour soup I've ever tasted.

Pekings has always been my go to place for years. I normally order the same dishes all the time (honey walnut prawns, chow mein, & veggies) but since my family were in town we decided to order more which was the chili oil fried rice and garlic spinach. Did not disappoint. Will be continuing to come here!

I LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE! Words can't explain the feeling until you go eat there. My sister and I and my boyfriend go here all the time. The service is always soooooo welcoming and on point. Michelle always knows our special orders and the FOOD, OMG THE BEST! I'm never disappointed it's like the food feeds my soul. If you're looking for a good Chinese place. My family and I love this restaurant. Year after year they consistently make fresh food with some great sauces. We appreciate their delivery service on nights that we don't want to leave home. Peking is one of our favorite restaurants for takeout.

Unknown human hair in the food! Today, I ordered takeout from this restaurant for the first time. When I got home and started eating, I found a male hair in my fried noodles. I was absolutely disgusted. My first reaction was that the chef didn't wear a hat while cooking, or even wash his hands. I don't know if the hair is from the head, armpit, or somewhere else, which really made me angry. I believe I am not the first or only customer to experience this. Additionally, when I went into the restaurant to pick up my order, a foul and urine-like smell hit me as soon as I opened the door. At that moment, I really didn't want the food anymore because I thought the food might also have that foul smell, but I still took it. I deeply regret going to this restaurant. I hope no one else goes there again. I am very worried that others might face more serious food safety issues and get sick. The restaurant owner has very low hygiene standards for the staff. Such a restaurant should be shut down！！

6/24/2022 - I ordered a dinner for one instead of what I really came to get. I will never ever order chow mein or fried rice from there again!! I really like the sweet & sour prawns and the fried wontons. I will stick with those two items from now on. It's really hard finding good Chinese Food here in Stockton. There are a few places that advertise that I haven't gone to yet; maybe one day. I can only give them one star on this visit. Presentation of food is everything for me. Luckily I wasn't too hungry and I ate the three slices of pork and the three prawns. They gave me plenty of plum sauce, soy sauce and hot, hot mustard. I spent $16.30. My son agreed with me and said it was the worst chow mein he has ever tasted. He thought the rice was mediocre.

Great food and very friendly staff! Their soups are wonderful and whenever we ask for any modifications, they are more than welcome to accommodate us if it's possible.

Always good. Everyone is always nice. Have been going here for years and will never stop. I'm tired of seeing negative things about this place. This is a family owned business if you take care of people they take care of you.

I am really tired of driving to Peking and having them say they closed early. It doesn't happen just once in a blue moon. It happens constantly! I guess since they raised their prices 27%, they have enough money, so they just close arbitrarily. Not happy. Very inconsiderate!

You can't go wrong with Peking. A North Stockton staple for many years. My family and I order from here on the regular. Their delivery is quick and they always have delicious food. It's great to support a local business such as this because you can tell they put their heart and soul into providing the best customer service. They survived Covid and are booming with orders. Be sure to check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Prawns a la Peking lunch is great. I like mine not so hot (Spicy) so I order it "A little bit spicy"and it is great!! Fried wantons are very good too!! Service top notch! Clean and pleasant atmosphere!!

My family and I have been going to this place since the 90's and it has always been the best place for the tastiest and freshest ingredients! MY favorites are the kimchi (Freshest and Crunchiest Kimchi EVER and I love Korean food!) Chinese Chicken Salad,l (dressing is SO delicious!) Won Ton Soup, Fried whole fish large or Medium which is pretty much whatever the catch of the day is. They even accommodate groups but there is a group rate plus gratuity I believe but double check that. Really kind people, I've never had a bad experience there. All in all, if you are wanting a romantic or family friendly or just quiet vibe type environment with AWESOME food and great service, then Peking is definitely your place. Please tip your servers

Our family's go-to for Mandarin/Szechian. Must get the Garlic Friend Chicken, Prawns a La Peking, & chow fun. Super friendly & great service. Def need to try other items, too. YUM!

just spent $64.91 we received the wrong wontons. The very rude man in the phone argued it's our fault.My husband heard him say, Fried wontons? He said yeah, fried wontons, referring to the kind with cream cheese like every other Chinese restaraunt. I called back I said do you have customer service he came back I asked your husband basically we're wrong. $6.50 for fried dough yuck. They could've accommodated us for good customer service. Terrible customer service to bad love there eggplant. They do not take pride in there customer service!! Had to update to one star the chowmein was awful over cooked noodles and to much pepper, yuck!!

Peking used to be our go-to Chinese restaurant in stockton. Partly because they delivered before delivery was as prevalent but also the had great food. However, the last few times, the quality has gone downhill. We have gotten some of the same dishes over the years and the last few visits found the chow mein and fried rice greasy, the house chicken and sweet and sour pork were mostly breading, the wontons had less filling and more grease, and the garlic chicken appetizer was dripping in grease and lacking in flavor. The other dishes we have had were not impressive but not ones we regularly had in the past so couldn't compare.

Everyone has raised their prices, but Peking has raised theirs astronomically! Most everything went up two dollars, and some items FOUR DOLLARS!! Are you kidding me?! That is price gouging, plain and simple!

I don't know. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I'm not from here, so I asked my trusted Foodie Friend to direct me to a place that has good Chinese Food. Without even thinking he says Peking. So I drive through the rain to get to Pacific Ave. I got the lunch special (Chicken/Fried Rice/Chow Main, with a side of veggie egg rolls, and some garlic noodles. I thought t it would be good. The chicken was hardly any meat. Just the fried part, if you can get what I'm saying. Egg rolls were cool, rice was average. Chow Main average. Garlic noodles were okay. I can't even find the word to describe the taste. Let's just say that I left half my plate untouched. I did try to put some sriracha sauce on my rice, I did, then took a bite, and that "sauce" tasted like I poured a cup of salt in my mouth. I'm good on this place.

Anytime I step in for lunch it's always delicious. There's never been a dish I didn't like. Honey walnut shrimp is my fav and sweet and sour chicken and the best part of it all is those fried wontons! Yum!

The food is great but service sucks, if I could rate the staff separately then the restaurant then that would be great. The restaurant it self I would give 4 stars for the food and the relaxing atmosphere but this one star goes to the server. We have come here many times for dinners or lunches and every time she is there seems that she is the only worker and man I'm sick of it always has a rude attitude towards us. I would understand if she was having a bad day but fuck every single time we've gone we have to flag her down asking for refills or asking for box's like she try's to rush us out give us the fortune cookies and check doesn't say anything else. I've seen her multiple times with different guest and she is at their beck and call mean while we sitting here rushed and unwelcome. We have to ask for everything meanwhile other tables have it brought to them even before actually getting the order taken, this last time I've had enough I watched as we got in I said maybe this time it will be different damn I was wrong still fucked up attitude but worse because she had someone from the kitchen bring our food and refill our drinks she wasn't busy at all so I didn't understand why we were treated that way. I asked the front person he didn't know and said maybe she is having a off day and he will talk to her but honestly it isn't that she was laughing and talking to other tables and serving their food or boxing their food mean while we sit at our table puzzled because we wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and honestly I haven't tipped her for that main reason I've thought about it a few times and said maybe it's because we don't tip then I would say to myself why the fuck would I tip a rude ass person I don't reward rude attitude that would give them the excuse to keep being rude and make it seem like it's okay to treat people like that when it's not okay. Plain and simple . Sorry not sorry for posting the review do better next time

I was very disappointed as we ordered takeout and I have eaten here before. We got sizzling rice soup and the rice was already added in the soup which it was all soggy and very little bit and single pieces most places put it in a box and you add when you get home ... Next the Mongolian beef we got was either not fully cooked, was reddish, and tasted like pork, the flavor was bitter... Next the house chicken was a bit soggy and a bit crunchy. Went to serve it out the box and it was falling apart the batter and soft and soggy Next up pan fried noodles were soggy and not crispy, the toppings were soggy Last but not least the pot stickers were crispy outside pork inside cold and not cooked thoroughly When you have hot food you supposed to cut a small hole in styrofoam/box to let it breathe and not get soggy... Very disappointing will stick with the other Chinese restaurants we frequent

You know how it is, you have to find a spot that cooks your Fried Rice, Chow Mein and Mongolian (sp) beef the way you like. They've been my goto for takeout for years

Great food, great service! 10/10 The food was amazing, the waitress is very nice and made sure we were well taken care of . The cook even comes out to make sure everything is good and recommends his specialties. Wonton soup was 10/10 fried rice 10/10 shrimp prawns 10/10 sweet and sour pork 10/10 Highly recommended! For Family friendly type of Restaurant, this is the place to go. My family & I come here for special occasions. Great food and great service.

The food was good but the portions were somewhat disappointing. Rice apparently a separate order (most places include some rice). We did a pick up, maybe inside the restaurant it's different. We will explore other Chinese restaurants since Hong Kong Deli closed.

My family and I LOVE Peking! We always leave full and satisfied! The food is delicious and we love the waitress! She gives exceptional service! We order different dishes every time we go and they all are delicious. We have tried other Chinese restaurants and Peking always stays our favorite!

If I could give a 0, I would. I am a Stockton native , and used to love this restaurant growing up. I came to the restaurant this past Friday. The staff had good customer service, were friendly, and timely. I guess the one star can go to them. They were sweet, but I came for the food. The fried rice was white and smelled spoiled. I thought it was imagination until I tasted it and had to immediately reject it from my mouth. The bbq pork was old and gray in color. The food was awful snd tasted old. The description on the menu for walnut prawns said it was lightly breaded......Well, it was heavily breaded and doughy. An awful experience after paying over $60.

It's a family owned business, I've been going there for over 20 yrs! The owner has a great memory, gets my order right as I walk in the door...Kung pow chicken w/light onion, white rice, vegetable chow mien, chicken fried rice..w/extra soy sauce on the side...has the same staff for years...always love the food
