Pelicana Chicken Atlanta

I tried Pelicana Chicken today and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside — just perfect. The service was also great. Brenda was very friendly and helpful. She made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a delightful first time experience at Pelicana Chicken. Brenda, our attentive and friendly server, made our meal enjoyable. The food was fresh and flavorful. We savored the bulgogi meal, the half thigh chicken with honey garlic and sweet and spicy, and the chicken sandwich with white honey garlic and truffle fries. I highly recommend dining here!

Honestly I didn’t expect much of this place and just thought it was just a regular chicken spot. But I was wrong. This place their chicken is so crispy and the inside is moist and juicy. The spicy rice cakes were delicious and had a slight curry flavor. But their fries were amazing and it was the best fries ever in the whole world. So crispy and delicious. The service was amazing and all the servers were so sweet and kind. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We came here for lunch and Rita was very nice and friendly. She gave us some great recommendations. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. I will definitely be back again and bring my friends and family. My wife really enjoyed the Bliss cocktail. The Rose rice cakes with ramen was my favorite. The soy garlic wings were second favorite. Kimchi Pancake is my 3rd favorite.

#Rita provided the best service! This restaurant has a really cool, laid back environment and an awesome playlist! The chicken is DELICIOUS. Perfectly crispy, spicy, juicy, and flavorful. I ordered half spicy chicken and fries as well as the peach soju cocktail. All were perfectly tasty! Definitely come by! All the staff are kind and the food is delightful.

Came here for a quick lunch on the way back to Mississippi and we were pleasantly surprised. The fried chicken is so good and you get a lot of food. Brenda even gave us a complimentary coffee which was really really good. This place is a must try if you are in Atlanta craving Korean fried chicken. Thank you Brenda!

ATTENTION TRAVELERS AND DRIVERS: Be cautious when parking behind this restaurant--break-ins are common. Despite taking all the right precautions and leaving our car completely empty, our vehicle and three others were broken into while we dined inside. Judging by the amount of shattered glass in the lot, this appears to be a recurring issue. Unfortunately, the thieves didn't even take anything--just smashed the driver's side window, leaving us with costly damage and frustration. The food here is genuinely excellent, but if you're visiting or passing through, it may not be worth the risk. Consider ordering takeout instead.

The experience at Pelicana Chicken was very good. There was no wait at 8:30 in a Saturday. The restaurant is decorated very cute and has a very nice ambiance. The food across our table was a 9/10 vote. I got the shrimp fried rice and it was delicious. I also got the soy garlic wings and they were great as well. They were sweeter than expected which I appreciated. We also got the regular and spicy bulgogi (pictured) and regular bulgogi and they said it was delicious as well. The waitress, Brenda, had a great personality and was very welcoming. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for some good chicken and Korean food.

We tried Pelicana for the first time today. It was delicious! We had the sweet and spicy crispy wings. Other items we ordered were the fried chicken sandwich (it's huge!) and the Cajun fries with truffle mayo. I would order everything again. Our server, Brenda, was so cute and very helpful. I can't wait to bring back family.

My experience at this restaurant was fair. That's the best way to put it. There was really minimal to no ambience inside. I don't remember there being any special vibe that I experienced or anything like that. The food was alright to me. It's possible that the style of food it is maybe just isn't for me, but I felt like I was just eating a bunch of deep fried food that wasn't exactly amazing or to my taste. I don't have any complaints or much to note there either. Overall, I personally wouldn't return here, but for those that may enjoy this type of cuisine could feel differently.

Korean fried chicken is the best chicken and Pelicana is legit! It's perfectly crispy, and the sauce was spicy and addictive, I was trying to not let any of it go to waste. The staff here is super friendly and easy to talk to and very attentive. Would definitely come back

Literally, I love this place. We swing by every now and then for a little treat, and here's why it's one of my top chicken spots: 1) They're open until 3am--so if you're craving great food and are stumped on what's open, definitely check them out. 2) The chicken is ridiculously juicy and crispy, fried to absolute perfection. And get this: it stays crispy even after a 30-minute drive. 3) The customer service is on point. The crowd is always cool, and the vibes are exactly what you want. Plus, there's parking behind the building, so don't stress if you don't find a spot out front. I'm not here for the banchan; it's all about the chicken, and they absolutely deliver. Their rice and bulgogi are also worth every bite--I'll vouch for that 100%. I need to try the sandwiches next time, I keep hearing about them. I'll make sure to update my review once I do.

I have figured out that I love Korean Fried Chicken (KFC). This place is pretty good. It is not in the most desirable part of the city, and I would not even try to park in the front. There is a little parking available in the front, but it is tight and almost always taken. There is a lot available in the back with an ample amount of spaces. Their menu features chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, chicken wings, fried rice, bulgogi, and salad. Be on the lookout for their lunch specials. They also have signature cocktails and beer on the menu as well. The inside of the joint has a hip club vibe. It is dimly lit, with a decent sized dining area and a full bar with seating. There are a couple of televisions above the bar that usually have sports on and they have hip-hop music playing throughout the dining area. The staff there was very friendly and courteous. They checked on my constantly. I ordered a half order of crispy spicy bone-in glazed honey soy chicken. It took about 15 -20 minutes for my chicken to be ready. When I did get it though, it was fresh, hot, flavorful and delicous. i really liked it. It was a ton of food and could not finish all of it and had to take a couple of wings home. But don't worry, they did noit hang around long. I ate them as soon as I got home. I highly recommend checking this place out. I really enjoyed my finger licking meal and will definitely will be back soon.

Super great chicken ! I mean super super great. The bulgogi was amazing too. Lots of fun street like food. The fried mochi cheese donuts were probably my favorite. I came here after a recommendation from a friend, and I am so happy we came. For lunch we ordered way too much food. We were hungry but the portions were huge so we left w a lot. Oh and Rita was great too. Came here w my two young girls and she was so sweet w them

I like this place!!! They staff was friendly, no issues finding a parking spot, and the establishment was clean. I went on a Saturday night and was quickly seated. We ordered shrimp fried rice which was delicious, wings with honey garlic and hot and spicy lv 2, bone in fried chicken. I loved the honey garlic wings, the hot and spicy was flavorful, fried chicken was also seasoned well. The salads that came with the entrees were also good. Can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu.

The vibe was laid back with low lights. The service was quick and everyone was really nice. We had a good time. The Korean Fried Chicken was pretty good. We also had the Rose Spicy Rice Cakes....delicious. Soju bombs went down too. Yes go check out Pelican you will not be disappointed!

Ordered to go and the food was timely, fresh and still crunchy. The Rose tteokbokki was sooooooo good and the boneless chicken was as well. We're now a house divided. I prefer Pelicana while my boyfriend prefers CM Chicken. May the best (wing) man win

This is my second time at Pelicana and while some items were better the first time, I still recommend trying. I got the spicy ramen and their garlic soy wings! The ramen don't miss. It's flavorful, filling (even without an egg or dumpling which you can add), and nice hint of spice. The chicken wings were really small compared to the last time I tried it so it was a bit underwhelming BUT the flavor and crunch was on point. Also, my friend tried their peach apple soju and baby it was delicious. I will try another flavor next time I go. I spent a little over $30 including tip for my entire meal so not toooo bad. The service both times was great and they are so friendly. The music also goes which throws me off lol. Overall, a nice spot to check out!

I just spent $50 for a 10 piece wings with fries n a drink!! Dawggg.. i gotta start paying attention to them prices! NGL these reviews gassed tf outta this place fr, don't fall for the hype. I got 5 honey garlic wings extra crispy & spicy & 4 sweet & spicy level 1 on side extra crispy & spicy. I also got fries with honey butter seasoning & the mango margarita. 1. WINGS - i was INSTANTLY turned off when the wings arrived to the table... they were HUGEEEE.. like on some Mondo Burger type huge. That fr was my only issue. The sauces were valid but i wont return specifically cuz the wings too big! 2. FRIES - fries were valid! My only complaint is they brought them out bout 15 mins before my wings came out. Shout outs to the waitress tho for swapping em for fresh fries. 3. MANGO MARGARITA - .. i ain't mad at it! Overall it was decent but i wont return only because their food doesn't match their prices & them wings too da** big!

My partner and I love coming here! We came with a few friends and everybody loved it. it was busy but they were super accommodating & got us seated pretty fast. The staff is always super sweet. We always get the kimchi fries, they are phenomenal. We both shared the half bone in fried chicken, level 3 with honey garlic on the side & the table split a bottle. Overall, great experience

As someone from California who's been to Pelicana there, I was curious to see how this location would compare--and it did not disappoint. In fact, this was best Korean chicken place I've ever been to. The chicken here was noticeably fresher and more delicious. I really appreciated the option to choose between original or crispy batter, as well as the different spice levels, which made the meal feel customizable. The sauces were another highlight !! This visit was a step up from my California experience in terms of both freshness and overall quality. If you're in Atlanta and craving fried chicken, this would be a perfect place ! The Combo B included perfect portions for me and my husband. Combo B (20 chicken wing pieces) - 10 pieces : w/ "spicy level 1" sauce - 10 pieces : w/ "honey garlic" sauce - fries : honey butter flavor

First timer. OMG this has to be the best KFC I've tasted. It's kinda of a dive bar. Eclectic to say the least. Great bar. Decent bar on tap. The wait is almost 15 minutes from ordering to food. Well worth it. Brought it. Took back to work. Still hot and crispy. Shared with a co worker. We both went YUM at the same time. I'm going back next week. And the week after that. Delicious.

This places food is 100% fantastic. Every order I've gotten has been delicious and fresh. The fried chicken is some of the tastiest KFC in Atlanta. Their fried rice is also very delicious and not drenched in Soy sauce, which I love. I have not been able to eat at this location or expeirnece the service outside of DoorDash or UberEats. I don't particularly like going into the city, but observing the parking at this location, you need to park in the back, as the front is intended for togo. Overall, if the food is as tasty over delivery, I guarantee it taste even better eating on site and the service has to be above average for Atlanta, considering how good the togo containers are served up and packaged.

I am obsessed with fried chicken and this is one of my favorite spots in the city to satisfy my craving. I love how everything is cooked fresh to order so my chicken is always hot and crispy when they bring it out to me. Whether I sit at the bar or at a table the service is usually decent, they provide you with your own little container of ice water, and I also like the different Soju flavors they have available. 5 stars alone for the food always being so on point!

I got food to go and it was slightly pricier than I anticipated for what it is.. but I will say the soy garlic chicken was really good. My veggie fried rice was good but it did need soy sauce on it.. next time I try this place I will make sure to dine in so I can experience it at the time of purchase.

That parking lot is insane. My only true issue. The place was very clean and dining in you are offered a container for water and a chilled steel cup. All order are made fresh and can be prepared a multitude of ways. A bit pricey, but that is par for the course. Crispy/Spicy is the way to go! I'd recommend and use a ride share based on parking alone. Highly recommended and they're open til 3am!

Very overpriced and disappointed that the wings were so small (got the 20 count garlic). The flavor was Good but they should have more flavor options. The best thing I had were the fries, now those were good. Personally think Choong Man has better KFC.

I give it 4 stars because of the price. Idk if it's inflation or could just be me for agreeing to pay, but $30 for 10 wings (5 wings chopped in half) and fried rice is wild. Don't get me wrong the food was good they made it to order everything was hot and the flavor was on point, but I mean it was nothing out of the ordinary for a Korean wing spot. They have a large menu which was honestly kind of confusing, just so many options and ways to order. This is a full sized sit down restaurant with a full bar. Really cool anime kind of vibe, 3 screens at the bar one playing sports, another anime and then something else. I ordered food to go and it was prepared in decent time. Can't say too much about service because it was to go but the young lady at the cashier was friendly. Would I go again? Perhaps with a group. The food was good but I still can't wrap my head around the pricing.

I tried the spicy BBQ, honey garlic, garlic and scallions, and cambert cheese dry rub. The spicy BBQ, honey garlic, and cambert cheese were fantastic and fulfilled the crispy, umami, and savory flavors I was expecting. The garlic and scallion one, however, was okay until you dipped it in the sauce. It was incredibly off-putting to dip my drum into the sauce and take a bite of the tender chicken only to be hit fully in the face with a strong, wasabi-mustard taste. I was informed by a worker that it was mustard that was included in the sauce, an integral ingredient that shined in the dish that wasn't listed on the menu at all. I ate the rest of the meal without the sauce which was severely disappointing because of the misconception.

We ordered Pelicana late at night to go. We got a regular order of the crispy spicy chicken with the mild sauce on the side. We were impressed by how crispy the chicken remained even after a ten minute drive and the sauce was the game changer, a great sweet and spicy balance that we were looking for. Definitely one of the best KFC that we've tried!

Great late night hidden treasure for good food with great prices. Full bar and lots of tasty options even if you are vegetarian! Went with a group amd had no problem getting seated. Service was great! Will be back!

Service and vibe were great. We did the honey butter wings that were the servers favorite and well it was an experience lol think donut chicken. We didn't hate it but yeah you have to try it for yourself. Take out review: For some late night munches, these just hit the spot. It did take around 20 minutes to come out so it's not super quick but we didn't mind. The chicken was just so crispy and still so juicy. The mac n cheese bites were also great as well. For what it is, it's a great late night comfort food option and I'll definitely be coming back if I'm ever in town. Although, the inside was blasting music and parking definitely didn't seem easy but I'm not complaining because I just did to go haha.

Inconsistent service. Every time I've gone there they have left something out of the bag usually a paid item extremely overpriced. They do not vent their boxes so you order crispy chicken and most likely several pieces will be soft because the chicken is piping hot and they close it up into a box creating condensation. No matter when you order you will still have to wait when you arrive. They have no solution for pick up and go orders. You might have to park on the street or down the road or at someone's house and walk there... for sure there are better options in the area that have speed service and more consistency in the food outputs

The food was great. Excellent actually. The service was mid. Not terrible but not great. I really disliked how long it took to get seen for my check after I finished and then the waiter grabbed my phone and forced me to write a 5 star review on google. Even took pictures of me to put on the review, that also I'm posting here. It's a shame because the food was so delicious but that experience was so awkward that I probably won't go back. The ambiance was cool. It was decorated but the music seemed like it was from someone's phone. It kept cutting off randomly and the genre was all over the place. Overall, 3 of out 5. But the food was 5 out of 5, no cap. Just that weird experience rubbed me the wrong way.

The crispy wings with the level 2 sauce were excellent! I can't say enough about the avocado salad, I will definitely go back.

Korean Fried Chicken is supreme and a consistent comfort food of mine that has never let me down. Pelicana Chicken is serving really great crispy and sauced up chicken that never loses the crisp. The fries are fried properly too. I found service here to be incredibly slow even on a midday Saturday afternoon to the point it felt like we were being neglected. Good chicken will have me coming back regardless.

The food is cooked fresh so don't expect rapid fire meals. But once you get it, it's soooo good! I like the crispy spicy chicken wings. Don't really care for the sides and everything else was just okay. But the fried chicken is what you've got to try. I'll try the grilled wings next time.

Are you in the mood for mild spicy chicken wings? This is the dish! Get the 10 pc soy garlic option and it will satisfy you all the way. It's just the right amount of crispy and mild! The ambiance was also great for a Wednesday night. Not too loud but not too quiet. Dark and dim enough to set the tone for nighttime. Not too busy or crowded at all. Oh, and my meal was less than $30 with tip included. Just perfect!

Food was so amazing!! Chicken was juicyyyy. And AMY!!!! The star of the night!!! She made our dining experience so much better and fun! She was so sweet and made sure made it special for us. Will definitely come back!!

Cute little hidden gem! I was greeted right as we walked in and sat down. They have a variety or food options. First time ever having Korean food. I will say they did not disappoint. I loved everything!! The tteokbokki was just perfect with the melted mozzarella on top. We had a number 2 spice level. It definitely had a kick, if I were to get number 3 spice level it probably would've been to spicy for me. Now the big platter was enough for 3-4 people. The wings we had ordered them extra crispy and just the perfect crunch. The owners were the sweetest, constantly making sure we were okay. I love to know that the owners are involved in making sure their customers are okay! Definitely when I return back to Atlanta, I'll be back!
