Great service with a smile. Lady at the counter was very patient explaining the menu. Lets see if it is worth the wait. Just came. Yum yum! Worth the wait! Juicy n hot. Sweet potato fries w sugar and honey. Delicious Bae liked that it's hilal. Tip. Bring change for the soda machine.

So this is located in some food court filled with lots of people and barely any seats available. Atmosphere is terrible but if you need a place to sit and kill time, use the bathroom and you’re hungry, I suppose it’s not so bad. Seedy little karaoke booths are they that are in 10-20 minutes intervals. Kinda weird but whatever. So the service was spectacular. The cashier lady was very polite and thoughtful and even though bae ordered the fries, she asked me if it was okay and if I’d like them too. I thought that was very kind of her which is rare in the food industry in NY sometimes. The chicken sandwiches were delicious. Not too spicy, i got the spicy chicken sandwich. The sweet potato fries with honey was something I never heard of it and it was so good. I’d come back if I had to which is ok with me.

I was recommended this place by a friend and I came to try it out , and I am so glad I did. The food here is very fresh and tasty . The cashiers working there were very friendly and explain all about the menu since it was my first time , it was nice knowing that their chicken is premium chicken so it’s very fresh . I order the boneless original spicy batter with honey garlic and the side of Cajun fries and it was delicious!!!! 😋

So I normally get my fried chicken from BBQ Olive and I decided to give this place a try cause I got a delivery for here from GrubHub. The half size fried wings was 16.99 and at first I felt like that was a bit pricey. Until I opened up the box, the wings were huge and when I took the first bite. They were delicious and so tasty. I actually was questioning if I wanted to go back and buy another Half Size. They were just that good. Nice texture and Crunch to the bone.

We got the whole chicken with 4 different flavors. All of the flavors were tasty and the chicken was nice and juicy. One of the most important factors of good friend chicken is the meat being juicy and pelicana definitely honors this. If you want some nice Korean fried chicken, this is the place to be. *note: make sure to bring dollar bills if you want to use their vending machine for drinks, the machine has trouble accepting credit. *

We placed a pick-up order via Uber Eats from Pelicana Chicken and the process was smooth with no issue. It was located inside Food Gallery 32 on 3rd floor. The dining environment wasn’t good and it lacked maintenance, so we won't recommend to eat there. We had a set of Boneless Chicken, French Fries & Salad ($12.95). The food was overall delicious, especially the juicy & tender chicken with proper portion and reasonable price as a lunch quick fix.

Pelicana has the juiciest and crispiest fried chicken. The staff member was helpful in answering my questions as I ordered. I was given a buzzer to alert me when my food was ready for pickup, the typical food court system. On a Monday night, the food court was still pretty busy, but there were plenty of seats available on the top floor.

I was surprised to see that this place is Halal certified in the Middle of Ktown, and honestly the food didn't miss. I got the spicy fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious and very fresh. The meat was juicy with a nice kick to it, and the serving size was pretty filling especially when combined with the Cajun fries. I would have loved if there were more fries tho and a drink included if I'm paying 17$ for the whole thing.

Little counter on the third floor of a Korean food court. I got the white meat boneless half order to go - extra crispy and spicy. The spice in the batter is quite spicy... personally would stick with regular crispy next time. The chicken was crispy but def not the crispiest I've ever had.. didn't feel double fried or anything. I got the level 2 sauce on the side. It has a kick but I wasn't really a fan of the flavor profile. I wanted soy garlic but unfortunately that one only comes mixed in not on the side. Id give them another shot and change up my order next time. The staff was friendly and there's a small counter reserved for pelicana customers if you don't want to sit in the tables.

A bit expensive but the chicken was so fresh and crispy. Def a good korean wings spot in Ktown. The service was quick and it's located in the food court upstairs. loved the cheese fries

I have gone to the food gallery market before but did not know about the upstairs. My sister was craving soy garlic chicken and took us here. This is my first time trying out korean fried chicken at this place but have had it before at different restaurants. We ordered the full drumsticks&wings combo of original soy garlic and it came with a radish. The portions were great. The side of radish could have been bigger though; it only covered for 2 pcs of chicken. This is by far the best korean fried chicken I have had. Its super crispy and well coated in sauce. We ordered for pick up later that day with same order but I had 1 box fully covered in sauce and the other with barely any sauce. It gets crowded at night; it wasnt busy when we went at around 2pm.

I really like this location of Pelicana, because it's on the top floor of a really fun food court on a really fun street. You get to walk through all the sites and sounds but then you get a bit of peace and quiet. This is expensive mall food, no doubt, but it's good. $40 is a huge dinner for 2 hungry guys.

Not sure what all the rating deflation is about. If you want the best example of Korean fried chicken with good, strong, flavor, Pelicana is what you want. IMO better than bbq chicken, better than Bonchon, etc. The location itself is pretty rundown, as there is graffiti everywhere, and most machines and places around are abandoned. But that's not to fault the chicken shop itself. Besides, if you're eating fried chicken, it shouldn't matter if you're eating it in an abandoned-mall type vibe place, on the street, at home, or on top of the Empire State building. Crispy, garlic, aromatic, hot, juicy. That's what Pelicana is all about. I personally think they do their soy garlic the best. The intense garlic flavor is unreal and I just haven't had it anywhere else. Their chicken _is_ crispy if you do wait ever so patiently (around 15 minutes), and isn't the fake bread crumb crispy that some fast food places do. Just a tip, if you get delivery you're never going to get the full texture crispy experience that you do at the shop, even if you do another air fry at home, although the flavor is just as good. Please go in person to experience Pelicana at its best.

This place has really good Korean fried chicken. The chicken is really juicy (albeit I opted for the juicy, less crispy option over the extra crispy option), the sauces are flavorful. I chose the spicy option, which was kind of dominating, would not do that again personally. The fries with their white cheese powder is quite surprising, a light but addicting dish.

This place is on the second floor and it's always hoppin. Fried chicken and beer is soooo good, more of a cafeteria vibe but it's very modern chic. Chicken took a min but was really amazing and even though it's pricey in the city we got what we paid for, barely finished it with 3 people so it was the perfect lunch after the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.

I'm so sad to report the downhill slope this place is now on. The chicken was BLAND, the batter wasn't even and was just not right. The wings/drumsticks were overcooked and dry. I'm officially done.

I order delivery from Pelicana maybe once every 2-3 months when I have a Korean fried chicken craving. The original (mild) and soy garlic are my go-to's, and this is my first time eating in person at the restaurant. I arrived around 9pm and ordered the half size drumsticks and wings combo $17.99 which comes with 3 drumsticks and 4 wings and a side of pickled radish. Being inside the Ktown food court, they give a buzzer that beeps when the food is ready, which took about 10 minutes. That evening's chicken had a deliciously crisp exterior and tender interior, though on the saltier side compared to previous orders I've had. Eating the chicken fresh out of the fryer makes a difference. The level of crispness is better than after it's been sitting in a box for 15-30 minutes.

I was very excited to try this after hearing great things about it. The chicken is decent, but not amazing. A bit too greasy and basic, places like Mad for Chicken, Turntable or Kuku are definitely more refined, but nothing wrong with it for a quick (and filling) snack!

Pelicana is pretty good for korean fried chicken. We definitely love the sauces (sweet and spicy lvl is not spicy), but not really the padak one (we like the scallion addition - it is not hăng at all, but the sauce has a strong mustard taste). The chicken has a bit too much flour but overall it's good. You get 5% off if you pay with cash.

Two of us shared the full wings/drumsticks combo with spicy crispy batter (+$1) and the spicy Pelicana sauce as well as soy garlic (+$4 I think). It took about 16 minutes - there's a chart at the counter that tells you how long it takes. The chicken was good, standard fare and I enjoyed both sauces. We had leftovers so they happily gave us boxes and a bag to take home. We also ordered the Yellow snowing cheese fries, which I had low expectations for. It was strangely tasty, and sort of addictive. The cheddar 'snow' is slightly sweet, and almost like a Korean snack cheese powder (definitely don't think of normal cheddar) that somehow works with the fries. It was good enough to make me wonder and try the white cheese (parmesan) fries next time.

We came across Pelicana Chicken by chance when we kept heading upstairs to find open seating. We had no clue there was three floors at this food court and thought the top floor was all seating. How wrong we were and we're so thankful for that! Their wings looked delicious so BF was excited to get a half order of their crispy wings ($16.99) with the soy garlic mix. Half order came with 10 wings and a side of pickled white radish. The breading on the chicken was just right and the meat was tender. We thoroughly enjoyed it, much more than the last few Korean fried chicken experiences we had back home in LA. If you pay with cash, they offer a 5% discount off your order!

The Chicken Was Sooooo Crispy & Flavorful! They charged about $15 for the small plate but it was worth it for what it was. The only thing is the chicken looked a little undercook on the inside but I would order from here again!

After climbing 2 short flights of stairs to the top floor of this 32nd street food court, I was finally reunited with the chicken brand that made me fall in love with Korean fried chicken. There is a little wait after paying, because your meal is made after placing your order. Just grab a seat anywhere and relax until your buzzer goes off. The food is hot! I anxiously took a bite and had to quickly put it down until it was at a pleasant temp to eat. Fries crispy, chicken crispy, just as good as I remembered. I'll give this location a solid 3.5, I felt that the chicken could've used a wee bit more sauce to enhance the flavor. Besides that minor point, Pelicana is still a solid choice in the ever expanding KFC options in the city.

Not sure what the hype is about. For one, it takes forever to make. For two, there's no A/C on a muggy 90-degree days. And for three, the chicken itself is just bleh. I got the garlic sauce, and while the dark meat tasted pretty good, I chalk that up more to the inherent tenderness of dark meat. Compare that to the white meat, which was so dry that I might as well have been eating an eraser. Some commentators have said that this particular branch of Pelicana is garbage but that the other ones are good. If so, that's poor stewardship of the brand and coasting on various "best Korean fried chicken" awards.

Great option if you want Korean fried chicken. Drumstick & Wing Combo - Full - $32 (+ $3 Padak sauce&scallion on the side) (5/5) This was amazing. First of all, not alot of places in the US offer combos with drumstick and wing so this was amazing. I shared it with another person and we were dying trying to finish everything. We ordered the spicy crispy batter (+$1) which was perfectly spicy and crispy. The meat inside was super juicy and each drumstick was huge. As a korean, I loved the padak sauce and scallion because it added a nice kick but my friend said it was too spicy for him. I recommend it for anyone who wants a refreshing kick to the chicken that is not sweet. I would definitely come again. There is also a food court where you can eat the chicken but I prefer takeout since there is no water.

Food is great! We ordered the crispy soy and garlic boneless chicken. It comes with a side of pickled daikon. Place was a bit confusing to find. It's a stand inside a food hall. Go up 2 flights of stairs. One tip: There's lots of handwritten signs at the register so read everything before you order.

First of all! Who doesn't like fried chicken? I've been craving it for a long time, and finally went to try out Pelicana fried chicken inside the Food Gallery 32! I have to say it's the best Korean fried chicken I've tried so far. It was very crispy, juicy and tender. The wait was about 25 minutes long but it was so worth it!! I highly recommend it to people who love korean fried chicken to check out this place. I'm definitely coming back for more!! Check it out if you're near Koreatown :).

This place can be kinda hard to find! Its in a food hall on the 3rd floor. I was excited to try this since we don't have pelicana in texas. It was good but nothing special. The service was great the cashier was very helpful. The menu is pretty big with a different varieties of chicken.

I used to be such a huge fan of bbq olive chicken but my recent experiences there haven't been so good. So I came to pelicana instead and knew I had a wait a long time for freshly fried chicken. Oh boy it was definitely worth it! I enjoyed every bite.

What an amazing place. Located at the top floor of Food Gallery 32 sits this fried chicken gem which seemed to have an entire floor of dining space dedicated to itself (from what I remember). Since there was plenty of space, it was easy to socially distance from other groups even on a Saturday afternoon. As others may have mentioned, this is not like a traditional restaurant, but more of a shared cafeteria. There is no waiting service/staff, or reserved seating, and you are allowed to sit anywhere with available tables/seating. You place your order to the cashier and they will give you a buzzer which notifies when your food is ready for pick up. Now the chicken... I was not used to being served such huge drumsticks/wings at a Korean fried chicken joint! Normally most Korean fried chicken joints serve much smaller drumsticks and wings, but the size was comparable to the ones served in Southern fried chicken restaurants. By the way, this is not a complaint. It was quite a pleasant surprise! The chicken ("Full Size (Drumstick 6pcs & Wing 8pcs) Combo") was extremely crispy, delicious, and could easily serve about 3 people (price was ~35 total with tax). One gripe I have is the restroom - just did not have towels or a hand dryer if I remember correctly. If you don't want to open the restroom door after washing your hands, then recommend grabbing some napkins from the cashier before you go. Overall, great place with extra crispy chicken served large. Will be back.

What a strong fried chicken sandwich. Add bacon and cheese to experience the same sensation Plankton feels when he finally steals the Krabby Patty Secret Formula (probably). Seriously, bravo.

Came here on a recommendation of a friend. I got a Full order of Drumstick & Wing Combo ($32) Crispy, with Mild Sauce (+$2). The wings itself were great and super filling. A lot better than KFC, although a lot more pricey. I had a huge argument with the sauce as they only sauced up half of my order. Apparently one sauce only covers half of the order and you had to pay essentially twice the sauce for a full order. This was not made clear on the menu at all and seems to be a huge pain point, making them sound like penny pinchers over sauce. I'm already paying $30 for wings and your pan handling a few more bucks over sauce. Come on man. This shop may end up like Spot Dessert across the floor if they keep up this business model: out of business.

Koreatown is a part of my regular routine, so it was finally time to try this chicken place. It's on the 3F of a Korean food court. I arrived at 8:30 PM on a Tuesday, there was no line and my order took 15 minutes to receive. I ordered the soy garlic sauce, crispy style drumsticks. They did not disappoint! the chicken was extremely juicy and the sauce to flavor was just right. I ordered a Kirin beer to wash it down and felt totally satisfied post meal. all in, $29 including tip was not too bad. Context: I was craving Korean comfort food before a ton of burgers and dogs over MDW so I committed to giving this place a try. Pretty happy with the food. Think it's overpriced for anywhere but NYC (or other tier 1 cities). will return!

I was in K-Town yesterday afternoon and husband told me to get something for dinner so my immediate thought was our usual spot. Then I saw the raving reviews for this place and thought why not. Entered the food court, temperature taken, and the 15 wait began. Ordered the soy garlic wings regular and was looking forward to how it would compare to others. It was still warm when I got home so that was really nice. Tried it and thought it was tasty but still lacked something to deliver that perfect soy garlic taste. Also not crispy and crunchy and to be fair, it was on me. There was an option to make it crispy so I thought it was the regular korean fried chicken crispness * 2 if I took that option. There was no crisp whatsoever so I'll probably try their crispy option again one day.

I got the extra crispy half drumstick and wing combo and it hit the spot for my kfc craving. Perfect balance of crispy, sweet and tangy. Can't wait to go back! The place is a bit casual so I wouldn't come here on a date. Perfect for after work meal, and since it's in a food court you can buy some alcoholic drinks to go with it if you want.

4 out of 5 times Pelicana has been delicious and has always been the choice for fried chicken in ktown, though it's relatively pricier. However, I've been noticing recently that they are very inconsistent with their food. I ordered the meal for 1 with spicy BBQ chicken tossed, fries, and salad. By the time I picked it up (picked up on time) and went home (5 min walk), I realized I got soggy breaded chicken in spicy BBQ soup that spilled all over the bag... The fries were still crispy and flavorful so I'm not sure what happened to the chicken... did they just decide to dump a bowl of sauce in? Also, be careful when you order "spicy" anything... it could be like death fire spicy or it could be like barely tingly. Basically, I still think Pelicana is great but they need to be more consistent or else I might start giving other options around the area a chance.

Yesterday, I ordered Crispy fried chicken (Padak With Scallion) wings and legs. As I was eating, I found this weird and gross piece thing... still have no idea what it is. Absolutely disgusting!!!! I called in for a refund but they refused as this was through Uber eats. I am pretty confident it's the restaurant's fault as this strange thing was coated and fried. They offered free appetizers next time I order, but not sure if I will ever be ordering from here again.

SO GOOD. The chicken was perfectly crispy, the sauce was tasty and the fries are delicious. This Pelicana is also in such a cool location! Kinda hard to find because there's a ton of signs outside but worth it once you get in.

OK, I know I'm late to the game when it comes to this chain, but let me tell you, the wait was worth every bite! We always go to the movies on Fridays and try have trouble finding food that both of us will like. I love Asian food, my BF sometimes has roadblocks with it. So we ended up in K-Town for bubble tea and and I remember Pelicana was upstairs upstairs so we went in this one saw the combo and it was on from there. Everything is made to order so you get a little buzzer like you're waiting for a table at a restaurant when you're eating in so you'll know when your order is ready. We decided to eat at the counter a little out of the way of the delivery window cut out. So when our food was ready I was able to lean over and grab the cute little silver trays of goodness. The soy garlic has the perfect amount of sweet and a hint of spice. The rice was fresh and delicious too, the perfect balance with a sprinkling of lettuce/salad. My BF went with the very very hot sauce why... I don't know. He enjoyed it thoroughly, but he was sweating quite a bit throughout. He saw that a lot of folks would drink and beers so he tried one of the Hite drafts and loved that as well. He vowed to the manager we would be back next week. I agree. I swear next time I will be picking up some of the bone and wings or combo Platters with drumsticks along with the combo we had. Soooooooo delicious!

This spot is in a food court. There is business at this spot, and the chicken is on POINT. Don't bring kids and request extra ketchup.... don't sit no where in wye view of the staff if ur asain and black family... they don't.

Wow. Just had an amazing fried chicken sandwich from Pelicana chicken. Made to order, so it's sizzling hot- get the cheese and bacon. The bacon is delicious - salty and popcorny flavored. Will definitely stop here again

I've had Pelicana a few times and I can say that its just ok. Although it is a bit overpriced. Its no better than KFC and Popeyes and there's better options for Korean fried chicken nearby.

I tried the chicken sandwich which was quite good. Great sauce and great chicken. It's located on the third floor of the food court. Plenty of area to sit upstairs. It can get quite crowded and loud especially on the weekends. I got the chicken soon after ordering. I can't wait to try other stuff on their menu!

I got a Pelicana burger, which came with a piece of fried chicken, vegetable toppings, and a choice of sauce. The flavor was very good, and the chicken was nice and crispy. The sauce had a nice kick without being too spicy. The lettuce left something to be desired, though, as there was a thick piece of romaine stem which didn't really fit the bun and caused the sauce to drip out of the burger instead of holding everything together. 3.5 stars

I have been meaning to try one of the pelicana chicken locations. This one is on the 3rd floor of the food court. Nice order at the counter and choose your own seat set up with a window seating area and larger tables. The chicken came out decently quickly and looked nice. The chicken was soft and moist on the inside. My gripe is that the crunchy batter on the outside was too thick. Flavor profile of the mixed in sauce ($2 extra) was decent. There are many korean fried chicken places in nyc--for me pelicana is decent but toward the lower end of that list.

Honestly, loved pelicana chicken and have considered it the best KFC for a while. However, we got extremely sick after eating there (we know it was from here because we ate nothing else). Would be wary of how food quality and safety.

Korean fried chicken chain from South Korea which started in 1982 which has 12 locations in the USA, 1 in Canada and over 3,000 locations in APAC. Pelicana is the largest food franchises in South Korea. 5 stars for the food and 1 star for the person taking my order that wasn't very pleasant answering my questions. Ended up getting 3 sauces on the side, what I wanted were different sauces cooked in smaller portions of chicken. It appears that it was too complicated to do what I had asked even though they weren't busy. The finger protectors were quite cool and kept my hands from getting all greasy. Next time will go with a large crowd so we can try each and every sauce 'cooked' with the chicken instead of on the side.

Yummy crispy wings and if you pair it with beer!! Omg delicious. I got the wings with pelicana mild sauce and it was pretty good! You can also get the wings extra crispy so that's what I did. Total came out to be ~$19 for the wings and for the pelicana mild spicy sauce. The sauce was an extra $2. They have frozen beer here and also frozen ade! The wings also came with a small serving of pickled radish. It's located conveniently in the food court on the upper level. Each piece of wing had a good amount of meat so that was good!
