Great restaurant and even better food! I went with a bunch of friends and we had a great time! The wait staff were great! I was happy to be a part of the group that went because the food was spectacular! I really enjoyed the simplicity of one of the appetizers which were olives and celery! My main course was also spectacular which was the sausage and potatoes! Take a look at all the pics because members of our group have several different dishes. You want to try this place for sure!

Food: 5/5 The food, as always, was excellent Service: We’ve been loyal customers for over four years. Unfortunately, service was disappointing this time. Today, I had an uncomfortable and unexpected experience with one of the waitstaff, Fernando. After returning the checkbook, he looked at it in front of us and questioned the tip amount disrespectfully. He stated that tips are not included, that he works for tips, and lingered at the table, making the moment feel awkward and intrusive — all while we were still mid-conversation. What he didn’t know was that my guest had planned to leave a cash tip, and the amount on the receipt was an additional gesture from us. It’s perfectly normal for customers to leave cash on the table after the checkbook is picked up — something most experienced servers understand. This moment left us feeling uncomfortable and unfairly judged. I always ensure the staff is tipped appropriately, regardless of who is covering. Fernando did offer a brief apology, but the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and disappointed — especially after years of supporting this restaurant and referring friends and family members. I truly hope this was an isolated incident, but I’m honestly not sure if we’ll feel comfortable returning. Hopefully Fernando learns from this experience.

I highly recommend this restaurant! I needed to book a restaurant for 25 guests for my wedding rehearsal dinner, and these guys were great. Great food, great service, great attention to detail. The staff were extremely helpful and made everything super easy for me. The atmosphere and the food were top notch!

I took my daughter and son to Speddicci’s for dinner a few nights ago. We had a fantastic time. The waitress was personable, attentive, and just a joy! The food was absolutely amazing and restaurant was filled with pleasant patrons. One of the better dining out experiences I have ever had.

Fernando was excellent: warm, personable, and quick. Our lentil soup, beet salad, fresh string beans, and seafood entree were all outstanding! We’re so glad that Karin and her Mom highly recommended Pellicci! —Robert and Christine

I had an amazing experience at this Italian restaurant in Stamford, Connecticut. The atmosphere felt warm and authentically Italian, and the food was incredible—fresh, rich in flavor, and beautifully made. Our server, Fernando, was great and made everything run smoothly. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
we were dining Friday evening at pelliccis , the service was very slow, we had to wait over 20 minutes for our waiter to come and take our order. the restaurant was full so we understood that service will be slow .. but they should hire more staff on busy evenings. we finally got to order our food … half an hour later it arrived to the table. most of it was very good. BUT the steaks orders were very disappointing! the over cooked EVERYTHING!! worst experience that we had ! when we called our waiter right away he offer to exchange it. we agreed , than a minute later he came back with the same plate and said that the kitchen decided that we are wrong and the steak is made in the correct level. than he offer if we want to BUY AND PAY FOR another one or just keep eating the same dry steak ! we asked to speak with the manager, and the answer was that she is BUSY AT THIS TIME and will not come to our table but we can go to the front and speak with her. at this point we decided to just cut our meal short and leave !! this is an insult!! we asked for the check and on the way out we stopped to speak with the manager/owner .. her answer was “i looked at your steak and i think it was made correctly and the staff in the kitchen looked as well.” also she said , “ it is still on the kitchen table i can bring it out so we can look at it”. i was SHOCKED!! she was trying to justify it ! when i asked her to remove it from the bill she refused at the beginning and keep arguing that the food was made correctly. i got upset and than she said “will it make you happy if i remove it from the bill? “ she missed the point !! it was not about the $40 steak !! it was THE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! SLOW SERVICE ! ARGUING OVER A STEAK ! they ruined our family night out !! that’s what they did !! disgusting people !! and the punch line is .. on the bottom of the menu we notice that they wrote: WE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERCOOK YOUR STEAK

The restaurant had valet parking. First impression was -homey. The place was huge and the staff were pleasant. We ordered a pizza, seafood and 2 pasta dishes. The food was good. The prices on the online menu did not reflect the price of the seafood pasta we got. The scallops and pasta was not worth over $30, in my opinion.

Yelp
What an amazing restaurant! My daughter was having a belated reception this past weekend in Stamford CT. Being I'm not from the area, I was at the mercy of Yelp to find an Italian restaurant that did catering. I found Pellicci's and called. I spoke with Ann who is such a sweetheart. I explained to her the food we wanted and how many people were attending. She called me back and not only was the price absolutely amazing, she even explained we didn't need as much sausage and peppers as I originally thought...so she saved me a lot of money. The whole process was seamless- from ordering to delivery!! Everything was packed with such care!! Nothing was leaking or spilling. Our delivery for 2:00 pm was right on time! We had approximately 50 people attend and EVERYONE raved about how delicious the food was!! The meatballs , ravioli, ziti, pasta primavera, broccoli, sausage and peppers, garden salad were all made with care and you can tell they love their customers!! I can't thank them enough for making our event a complete success!!

Yelp
Ordered chicken scarpiello for pick up on my lunch break. It doesn't come with soup nor salad and cost $25. My food was ready on time. The sauce was thick and buttery. The amount of chicken and mixed peppers were perfect, I'm greedy so I could have used a bigger side of fettuccine.

Yelp
I visited last weekend for a baby shower in a private room downstairs. The valet service is complimentary, but remember to tip. The meal began with their house salad in a secret dressing, followed by perfectly cooked chicken. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Yelp
Beautiful neighborhood establishment with a lot of history. Wait staff good. Great white tablecloth setting, but paper napkins... Ate lunch there. Was looking forward to a great Italian lunch of lasagna. Unfortunately did not measure up to my expectations..two layers of lasagna noodles...very little meat in sauce, drowned in soupy ricotta cheese and flavorless tomato gravy. Disappointed

Yelp
Great restaurant if you want Italian, you go to Pelliccis. Also, free valet! I've been going here for 42 years and have never had a bad meal. Prices are very reasonable.

Yelp
Came across this Italian restaurant while visiting Stamford, looking for a fine dining atmosphere with affordable prices, near our hotel. We parked on a side street & braved the cold walk to the restaurant. Upon entering we were blasted with comforted heat & greeted by the seasoned & homely hostess, who sat us immediately. The atmosphere had a family air to it. Other diners appeared to be regulars & were enjoying their time chatting with the waiters & waitresses. The bar was visible & many were in their watching the games, joking around. Our hostess doubled as our waitress & was very patient with us as we looked over the extensive menus & took our time choosing. Our choices consisted of Fried Mozzarella for the app, Chicken Parmesan & Chicken Scarpiello for the entrée, both with salads, & Creme Brulee for dessert. The app was absolutely delicious! We had an in depth discussion on them. Landing on decision that they were freshly made in house & are not frozen. The shape of the fried mozzarella were various round shapes & the cheese was gooey, with a little cheese pull. I haven't had one like it anywhere else. The house salads were also cold, fresh & crisp, just how I like it. The portions were impressive. The Scarpiello had so much flavor. I found myself soaking up the sauce with the table bread. Which was our second basket since we were going to town on the dipping oil we concocted while reviewing the menu. Unfortunately, the Chicken Parm & creme brulee fell short for us. The breading & cook of the chicken were spot on, but the tomato sauce tasted like it was poured out of a can & no seasonings were added. Additionally, there was barely any cheese on the chicken. The dessert was lacking. The top was barely crusty & didn't have the cracking sound one hopes to hear from torched sugar. The creme had an odd texture & was a slightly gritty. This is one of my favorite desserts so I was disappointed. However, we did leave full & it didn't have much regret since the prices were decent.

Yelp
Pellicci's Ristorante is a historic Italian restaurant that opened in Stamford, Connecticut in 1947. It was founded by husband and wife Frank and Frances Pellicci. The origins of the restaurant go back to 1938 when Salvatore "Sal" Sullo opened up Sullo's Restaurant in Stanford's Italian West Side neighborhood. Sullo's specialized in coal-fired pizza and spaghetti. By 1946, Sullo moved his restaurant to a larger location across the street. A year later, Frank Pellicci and his business partner Stanley Ogara took over Sullo's. By 1950, the Pellicci family had become the sole owners of the restaurant and it officially became 'Pellicci's Ristorante'. Over the years, the Pellicci family expanded both the building and the menu. Several celebrities dined at Pellicci's over the years, including Walter Cronkite, Joe DiMaggio, Nancy Sinatra and Tony Bennett. Today Pellicci's is owned by Frank and Frances' daughters Toni Pellicci-Lupinacci, Frances Pellicci-Caminiti, and daughter-in-law Ann Pellicci, while several more family members work in the kitchen. It is the oldest family-owned restaurant in Stamford. I recently dined at Pellicci's with my wife's family. My wife grew up in Stamford and ate at Pellicci's several times with her family, but this was my first visit. From the bar, I ordered a "Wave Chaser IPA" by Montauk Brewing Company. It was piney, citrusy and refreshing. For appetizers, we ordered a plate of "Bruschetta Pellicci" for the table to share. It was served with the mozzarella melted: a nice touch! Pellicci's has some excellent pasta dishes! My son had Ravioli with Vodka Sauce, my wife had Lobster Ravioli, my sister-in-law had Penne ala Vodka, and my mother-in-law had Tortellini Pesto. Some of us were in the mood for pizza (which is unfortunately no longer cooked in a coal-fired oven). I ordered "The Amalfi" (red pie, mozzarella, rock shrimp, clams, bacon, garlic, basil, parsley, red pepper) while my father-in-law had "Il Bianco" (white pie, ricotta, parmigiana, mozzarella). Both pies were excellent! We had an excellent meal at Pellicci's and I look forward to returning in the future!

Yelp
Had lunch with a buddy here recently. Old school place. Spots like this are a dying breed. We started with shrimp, scungilli, and the arugula salad. The shrimp was disappointing, I would not order again. Buddy had the lasagna which he destroyed, huge portion. I had the blacked salmon special which was very good, nice filet. The broccoli rabe was great, lots of garlic. Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
If you are looking for an old school Italian american restaurant then this fits the bill. The calamari is a must order lightly breaded and fried a great appetizer. Clams casino were fine. Not outstanding but fine. Veal parm was nicely pounded and tasty. For desserts ordered the carrot cake and tiramisu. Tiramisu was adequate. I'd pass on the carrot cake since it was heavy and dense

Yelp
Very good Italian food in Stamford! This is another example of Stamford being one of best food cities in the Westchester/Fairfield county area. Pellicci's is a lovely Italian restaurant located within the city of Stamford. It has been around for a long time and is a neighborhood favorite. It is large, with three different dining areas and a waitstaff that is responsive and helpful. We had one bad experience with a server who made three mistakes at one of our first visits to Pellicci's, but we haven't seen him for a while, and the other servers we've had since have been great. My favorite dish is the lobster ravioli. That's what I get when there aren't any tempting specials. In the fall, they have a squash/pumpkin ravioli special that is also highly recommended. I hear the veal Marsala is also very good. Dishes I would avoid are the seafood lasagna special and the seafood bisque special. They both sounded amazing but were actually pretty disappointing.

Yelp
0 stars. -5 if possible. - READ BEFORE BOOKING EVENTS Where to begin? I'm not one to leave reviews but we had the worst experience we've ever had for our event. Even our guests were very disappointed with the service. We did not get the service we paid for which was a party room , to HAVE a party, not a sit-down dinner. We booked the private room for my babyshower back in December, being told the room WAS available. I get a call 5 days before my event (after weeks of planning and paying vendors) that our room was being changed from the downstairs to the upstairs room. Being that I do event planning myself, I asked all the qiestions I needed to. I asked if the room would be ours completely, and since we had children on our guest list, if we were going to have any issues with them moving around (as children do at any PARTY) and if we were going to be able to set up how we'd like. We were assured the only thing changing was the room but we'd have privacy and could set up however we'd need to. All to which we said okay to since we were not being restricted in any way. I also asked about the time we were allowed to set up as we had decorations and balloon garlands to put up and we were told there were no prior parties and could arrive at 930am. The day of the event , the moment we arrived at 930am , it started to go sideways. After being told 5 days prior we could set up as early as 930am due to no prior events, we get told they had 4 bookings before us. I was told I was responsible for calling the night before to make sure there were no prior events. I was not told that 5 days before when the restaurant reached out to me about the room change. After a little back and forth because that was not communicated to me, I was allowed do have my vendor set up the balloons arch and background and was told by the front desk lady "to hell with it. You can set it up and it can just stay up". We proceeded to set up and i was actually really happy about the room size as it looked very big, enough space for our event. When we got done, one of the waiters comes and tells us we can't leave the balloons and set- up up because they had tables booked. I told him I was told but the front desk that we could leave it there, and he said he needed to contact his boss to which I said okay, but the lady in the front said we could. By chain of command (not to belittle anyone's title), I'm going to take the front desks word over the waiter.. so it stayed as is. He then told me the space I was allowed to use was only half (or in reality 1/3) of the dining room. I was taken aback because that was definitely NOT what was communicated to me. I went back the front desk, told her I was told the room would be ours completely. She contested that was not what was said and I reiterated what was stated to me and she assured me not to stress, they'd make it work for me. They would make sure everything ran smoothly and I'd have nothing to worry about. We left and came back at 4pm to finish setting up tables for our event. Come 5pm, the time our event was STARTING, Tony (the lady in charge of reservations who never spoke to me prior or anything) came out and said our balloon arch and decor could not stay where it was. This is not something you just move around! I told her I was told it was okay to set up there and was hit with "Well I'm in charge , I'm the one you should have been talking to." SO WHY WASNT I? Do I work there to know who's in charge and who's not? Why have I been speaking to, booking with, being contacted by someone who's not in charge ? The set up i paid $600 for was picked up by their people and stuffed to a corner, leaving me big an expense I didn't even get to use. We had no cake table, to table to put our treats, no table for little games we had. Our guests were squished together like sardines. Our event ended up being a sit-down dinner only which was not the service we requested or were looking for. This was a party. Not a dinner reservation. The extra tables that were "reserved" didn't even end up being used , making up lose space WE COULD HAVE USED and were told it was because the people who had booked didn't feel comfortable sitting in a middle of a party. Well yea! With reason!

Yelp
I really wanted to love Pellicci's. It has all the trappings of an old-school neighborhood Italian joint that I can fall in love with. Great bar with locals surrounding. A lot of energy. A friendly bartender. An expansive red sauce menu. All the external factors were perfect. The food, however, just lacked flavor. I need salt and oil. I need a rich red sauce. The food was just bland. I was there on a Sunday, it was slow, and maybe the kitchen wasn't cranking at its finest. I will certainly give it another shot in the future, and I hope to have my opinion changed.

Yelp
Ordered the Settefrate pizza without cheese, lasagna and Rhode Island Fried Calamari. The restaurant called to confirm the order within a few minutes which is amazing service. The food arrived quickly and hot. The pizza was delicious, the calamari cooked to perfection and lasagna wowza! Not many places cook calamari correctly. Pellici's does it right! Definitely ordering again and again and again!.

Yelp
Lovely old fashioned ambiance and solid traditional Italian food served by an attentive staff.

Art Q.

Yelp
Sunday lunch for a table of six persons. 3 ordered chicken francais, one a medium pizza. One blackened salmon and salad. One ordered squid chunks ( not fried) on top of linguini. Food is quite average. Quite A Large place , with substantial banquet type facilities. You get pasta or salad with entree's, not both. Good sized portions and prices ok, not great. Have Decent pizza. A Soft , thin crust. But tasty and properly baked. Price for medium pizza around 20. 7-8 large slices. Filling. Have abundant valet parking. You need valet parking at night. Area around this restaurant is not the safest. Limited on street parking. Just ok. You won't go away hungry. But There are def better Italian restaurants in Stamford.

Chris N.

Yelp
This place is an institution. It stands the test of time. Walk backwards into 80s Stamford and enjoy a quality Italian atmosphere and cuisine. The antipasta is the best and their veal parm is some of the best around.

Brenda G.

Yelp
Delicious shrimp scampi and chicken parmigiana! Desserts were equally delightful. Delivered quickly and still hot!
google avatar

Dede F.

Yelp
The staff works super hard. It was a large, crowded place. Valet parking is mandatory. Nice family greeting at the door. The calamari and apps were super good. Martini glasses were chilled and that was unique. Bright lights, fake ferns and parmesan/pepper in shaker bottles aren't my style but the spirit and energy of the place is sincere. I need to go back soon for a better sense of the place to give more sincere review.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Stamford! The Christmas decors look amazing. Food is absolutely incredible. My boss who is an Italian recommended this place and I was super impressed. Tiramisu here is a must try. And the best part is that the price is great! I would've paid double for the same food in NYC.

Jacqueline G.

Yelp
Pellicci's Restaurant is a great family place to go. The restaurant is the best you will get! The food is fresh and the cooking is old world style! The family that still own and work there are all wonderful! They will do everything they can to make you happy! This is one family that's A plus in my book! Thank you Anna S.

Yelp
What Happened to Pellicci's ?? took two hours to get our food, no busboys so dirty dishes were left in front of us the entire time !!! had to ask for forks, knives and DISHES !! We ordered the family meal, the portions were small, the chicken had only a few pieces,, the sausage & peppers was not enough for one... never received our garlic bread, never charged us for the fried calamari ... it looks like a classic old Italian restaurant but everything else was absolutely horrible... will never return
google avatar

Anjali G.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. I just ordered the baked chicken dinner, 24.64 later, I get home ready to eat and I find a hair in the sauce of the baked chicken. I asked them To put extra sauce. I called and the lady says we'll they wear hair nets, well how did a piece of hair get in there lady? Her attitude was like oh well. I had to throw my entire meal out... so disappointed in Pellicci's... never again....

Yelp
When you eat at Pellicci's, you're supporting a family-owned business. It's a true staple, built on hard work and dedication of community members. You can feel good eating here. Of course, you can feel good eating here because the food is great! Truly a hearty Italian experience with everything you need, but none of that unnecessary stuff. Also, check out the brick interior, ice cold soda, and parmesan. All they need now is an arcade machine and it'd be the perfect restaurant! I kid, I kid. I know there are plenty of Italian places you can choose from in Stamford, but PLEASE consider Pellicci's. When you eat here, you're enjoying a great meal, but you're also taking part in an establishment that's been operated with care for almost 80 years! That's what I look for in a great restaurant.

Annette A.

Yelp
I love Pellicci's. Their family meal is a great meal for a Party of six or more. Every time I return to Stamford this is my go to restaurant.

Paul P.

Yelp
It's a miss for me. My first time went with friends. It is either overflavored or under flavored. For instance the salad for three was swimming in dressing. Overflavored. The chicken parmesan with ziti and red sauce, under flavored. I could go as far to say bland. The chicken parm had no flavor, the chicken had no flavor in the bread crumbs or that little bit of crispness from being cooked. The cheese bland. Stick the thing under the broiler for 3 minutes... The sauce, red, lacked any taste. Let's jump ahead to dessert. I know The Little Pie Company. I know the pies they sell. The SLIVER of pie I ordered an actual S L I V E R was from there but they heated it up taking away all the flavor of the pie. They can call it Dutch Apple Pie but Sour Cream Apple Walnut Pie is too distinct a pie for you to try an fool us. The place filled up for the dinner hour with what I can only think of as locals all of a certain age who prob have been going for years. I may give it another shot but neither of my my dining companions had anything better than my entree.

Josph M.

Yelp
Had not been to Pellets c I'd in many years, but decided to meet up with ten others for New Year's Eve. Reservation's at 7:00. When we got seated after moving from one table to another, we could see they were absolutely packed. To sum it up the service was so absolutely bad, it became comical. After 35 minutes we were able to get four drinks for ten people. The drinks were served in any type of glass ware they seemed to have available. I politely went up front to explain out situation and immediately I was told this delay was totally unacceptable and it would be remedied with a new waiter. Ten to fifteen minutes went by and finally the same waiter appeared with two more drinks. The service went downhill from there. I finally asked please can we order and he obliged but he could only take appetizers not entrees. It was now approaching 9:00 and a few appetizers appeared. Tables around us that were seated at the same time as us were prepared to exit and we still had not ordered our entrees. Without further details, the remaining dinner was total confusion. In actuality the food was reasonably good but the service was so disjointed that the meal became a comical farce. Everyone was in a happy mood and we made the best of it. The moral here was we should have made a reservation an hour earlier or two hours later, but we will think twice about Pellicci's in the future. We could have made a big issue at the front desk but it was a festive evening and our waiter was totally overwhelmed, the management appeared to be oblivious , so chalk it up to a good story for laughs.

Joyce D.

Yelp
The service could not have been any better, the food was amazing,, the setting let's old friends and new enjoy a great experience. .. haven't been there in awhile and now I know what I have been missing in my dining experience. It's my new spot!

Kristin W.

Yelp
I had heard great things about Pellicci's and I know it has been around forever, so we tried it for takeout on a Sunday night. Order chicken parm (which was good) and Caesar salads. Got home and turned out they didn't give us caesar salad but just containers of romaine lettuce and a side of honey mustard dressing. I called the restaurant to ask if their caesar normally has croutons, or cheese, and to ask what happened. They were nice and listened to me, but no apology or offer to somehow make it right. It cost us $20 for the lettuce and we had to throw out the honey mustard dressing since we don't like it. The chicken parm was very good. But overall, not worth the drive and I wish they had gotten the order right or at least refunded me the cost of the Caesar salads that I never got! I won't be going back.

Yelp
Hidden Gem Alert - when you need a break from Bedford St, this is a wonderful family restaurant with reasonable prices, friendly staff and great food. Eat inside, the terrace got a little noisy because the hospital is nearby and the ambulances were driving past. We will be back!

John M.

Yelp
Great Italian restaurant with family feel. Excellent food and very reasonably priced. Chicken Scarpiello is one of my favorites.

Johnny D.

Yelp
Im sorry but this is not going to be a good review. The pasta is clearly from a box which honestly I can get past but the "grandmas sauce" was just downright awful. Having been to Italy many times I wouldn't categorize this as Italian food. I'm sure the people mean well and are nice but there is nothing positive to be said about the food I ate. Even the bread was undercooked and doughy. Hopefully they can improve.

Yelp
The first thing you need to know is this. If you want to go to Pellici's, say at 5:30 on a Saturday night, use their Valet Parking service. Because all of the street parking around the place was taken and some of those streets are kind of "mean streets" if you catch my drift. Four of us had a solid meal and experience here last night. As of today, 9 of Pellicci's 71 Yelp reviews mention the phrase "old school", and I'm updating the data to be 10 out of 72 Pellicci's is old school Italian comfort food done pretty well. Think pastas and parmigianas and pizzas and chicken and veal. The kitchen offered some specials last night, and one of them sounded so good, I couldn't resist. The Seafood Bisque was GREAT - lot of diced shrimp and lobster and crab in a wonderful creamy and cheesy bisque. One of the best bowls of soup I've had in quite a while. I snuck a few pieces of my nephew's Fried Calamari, and have to say... it was great. I order calamari a lot and sometimes I'm disappointed because it comes out rubbery and tastes the way I'd imagine a pool liner tastes. This calamari was stellar - very tender and just about perfect. The accompanying marinara dipping sauce was very good, but beware of those potent red pepper flakes bobbing in the center of the bowl. I also ordered Chopped Insalata Italiano. At $15.95, it was a good sized Garden Salad with ribbons of Provolone, Salami, Sopresatta, Roasted Peppers, and artichokes. Our table's meal included a Baked Ziti ($13), Linguini and White Clam Sauce ($18), and a Ziti Marinara with Sausage ($16), and no entrée included a salad. Everyone's food looked great, everyone enjoyed their meals, and everyone brought a container of leftovers home. Our boozeless dinner for four ran around ninety-five dollars and I thought the value and quality was pretty good.

Yelp
The food was amazing! We had the shrimp cocktail, pasta fagioli, chicken francese and shrimp scampi. All 10 out of 10. The caesar salad wasn't traditional as it had dijon in it. The food was delivered promptly and the waitress was friendly. The atmosphere was excellent and overall a great experience.

Yelp
Hadn't been to Pellicci's in some years. A friend mentioned going there recently and being pleased. So my wife and I went. The bread, which came quickly, was terrible, tasteless and gooey when chewed . We were seriously worried about our decision to eat there, but calmed down with a fairly generous serving of decent wine. Next we had Rhode Island calamari for an appetizer, and it was excellent. The squid was tender and sweet tasting. Our mood improved dramatically. Then we shared an entrée, chicken scarpariello, misspelled on the menu as scarpiello. It also was delicious and served in a generous portion that was enough for two. Encouraged we decided to have dessert, rice pudding and tiramisu. Both were adequate. The rice pudding was served cold, which dampened the flavors. Service was pleasant and efficient. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, although the nearly disgusting bread is a serious deterrent against a return visit.

Yelp
So sad. we have been patrons of Peliccis since our children were small 50 years or so. However. The last few times we were there were not good Tonight we waited for over an hour for a dinner that was cold. No apologies no nothing. My poor husband ate half my veal piccata. We just asked the waitress to box up his dinner when it was done. Unacceptable. They will not see us again. And you know what? It won't matter a whit.

Yelp
Ok, so I've been here more times than I can count but since before COViD, it's been a good 5 years or so. Frankly- not much has changed- which is a good thing. The valet parking still exists. We were a party of 5 and sat in the back room. On a Wednesday evening at 6:30 it wasn't very crowded when we sat down. We had salads, veal parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, ravioli and steak. Everyone was pleased with their meal. When our dinner arrived I noticed that the back room was filled with larger parties of 5+- but the tables were spaced out throughout the room. Dessert was really good too. I mean local mom and pop Italian restaurant that hasn't changed in decades - can't go wrong. This is a place where the portions are good, pricing is fair, service is friendly. The only change that my dad and I remembered was you used to get a salad AND a choice of pasta. Now it's either or...which we were both fine with as the portions are generous.

Yelp
Nice authentic Italian spot in Stamford. Ambiance: Very relaxed vibe, feels like it's been there for a while. The order: Family style food: salad, penne ala vodka, chicken, steak, roasted potatoes, broccoli, and some cannolis for desert. Taste: It all tasted pretty good. The chicken was a bit spicy but it was a pleasant surprise. The food didn't blow me away in any capacity, but it was hearty and good. Service: The service was quick when we first arrived but as more people came to dine, the service slowed down significantly. Overall: Pretty good Italian spot, sounds like a lot of people come here with their families and it becomes more of a tradition then the actual food. I'd come back if someone wanted to but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Yelp
Ok Stamford and environs!! This is the place to be in Stamford. This is Italian-American food at its finest. A Stamford legend that I was just let in on the secret. This place is the typical food of 2 generation Italian Americans. Brooklyn, Jersey, da Bronx, whatever. You will love it here. Get the chicken. You will see why.

Yelp
We were staying in Stamford for one night and wanted to find an Italian place. We went here and the service was really good and they always filled our waters. Both our plates were around $17 which after doing some research was a little cheaper than some Italian places around there. The portions were really good and super filling. I got the lasagna and my wife got the tortellini Alfredo. Overall we had a good experience but it was so amazing that I am rushing to go back, hence the 4 stars. Also, they only have valet parking which for me is annoying because it's one extra thing you have to pay for but it's in a city so they always try and get you for parking.

Yelp
Went to Pellicci's for a team outing with coworkers and we had a great time! The food was delicious. We had salad, bread and olive oil, pasta, steak, chicken, potatoes, broccoli, cannolis, and lots of beer and wine! The food is delicious! I like how they have areas for large groups to sit. At the same time, there is more intimate seating for smaller parties. The one thing that was a little odd was that they seated a group for an engagement party right next to us, which was a bit uncomfortable. The service was good, especially considering the size of our group. They were on top of things service-wise from the moment we arrived. My favorite dishes were the steak and the penne alla vodka! I would definitely come back and recommend to friends. Also, as a heads up, they have valet parking here! Follow @eatnow.thinklater on instagram for more pics!

Yelp
I think I had the best meatball wedge of my life here. Great family owned restaurant & atmosphere. Old school and so cool. I Love Pellicci's!

Yelp
Believe it or not I had my first pizza at Pellicci's Restaurant in Stamford CT in 1958 when i wqs twelve. in fact I had several. It was just a plain pizza with mozzarella cheese, thin crust, etc, but it made me a pizza connoisseur for life and became the standard on which all other pizza was judged. Fast forward sixty four years. I was driving from NYC to Boston bringing home a car I bought online and descided to stop in Stamford CT to get something to eat. I always remembered Pellicci's and did a search on my iPhone. Lo and behold there they were just off the highway. I explained my mission to the lady at the desk who told me that her husband was the owner back in 1958 and their daughter would make the pizza for me. I ordered a medium with just cheese and asked them to cut it in sixteen pieces so it would be easy to eat while I continued my journey. it was delicious, crust nice and crisp with plenty of cheese just as i remembered. What a wonderful memory. Was it the best pizza ever? No, but it was great. nowadays I make my own pizzas in a maple wood-burning Ooni oven with plenty of cheese, linguiça, mushrooms, black olives and of course, anchovies. These are to me the best pizzas ever. Thank you ladies for another memory!

Yelp
Being from Brooklyn and going to great neighborhood Italian restaurants in Bensonhurst and other places in the '70s and '80s, my feelings about places I stumble on, like Pellicci's are really more emotional than just based on the food quality. The food quality needs to meet a certain standard in order to like the place but once you get past that it's the aura, the people, the atmosphere, the layout, that make a place special, and Pellicci's checked all the boxes today. The layout is great with an active bar and a bar-room dining area semi-attached and then a separate dining room and finally a room which is probably used primarily for private parties (not just a box, it was a nice room). There were a lot of 'regulars' there - real characters - which adds soul to a place like this. The service at the bar was excellent (thanks to J.C.). The food was very very good but I could see it being one of those places where there are really great items and not perfect items. We really loved the place as first-timers and will DEFINITELY return!

Yelp
Celebrated my bday at Pellicci's and was not disappointed. Authentic Italian cuisine with a broad menu of delicious bites. Loved the homemade minestrone and especially the cannoli for dessert! Great service and nice restaurant to dine either casually or dressed to impress.

The lasagna was wonderful, homemade for sure, vodka sauce was good! My favorite was the fried mozzarella! I love a good old school joint!!! Portions are great, comfortable seating! The waitress Mary was fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant, we can't wait to return to try more dishes!

Yelp
Dined here on a Thursday evening for a stop along a roadtrip. We've stopped in Stamford before and honestly had low expectations, but this place was wonderful. We sat down for drinks and Fernando was an amazing server. He was attentive and accommodating, and knew the menu well. We were tired after hours on the road so we took our dinner back to our hotel and he wrapped it up perfectly for us. I had the lobster ravioli and my husband had the NY strip. The food was so flavorful and high quality. This has got to be the best Italian place in Stamford for the price we paid. Cannot recommend enough
