Prime Fish Offers Yakitori Omakase Experience in Charlotte | Eater Carolinas

"An Indonesian-focused restaurant from the same chef-owner that embraces his heritage while also serving as the discreet front for the hidden yakitori counter; the main dining room funnels guests to a covered back entrance where the separate omakase experience is staged." - Timothy DePeugh

Tony took a boat ride to this island and had fresh lobster with an anthropologist on this island that used to be a penal colony.

Absolutely breathtaking island! Nusa Penida is a true paradise with dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and stunning viewpoints like Kelingking Beach and Diamond Beach. It’s perfect for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and anyone looking to escape the crowds. The boat ride from Bali is smooth, and the experience is well worth it. Don’t forget your camera every corner is postcard-worthy!

Nusa Penida is like Bali’s little sibling – smaller, quieter, but oh-so-stunning. It’s the Instagram model of the Bali province, with views so breathtaking they might just knock your flip-flops off. Only 25 kilometers from Bali (basically a stone's throw if you have a really good arm), this exotic island offers scenery so good you’ll forget how many stairs you’ve climbed to get those perfect photos. Sure, you can do a whirlwind day trip from Bali and cram everything into a few hours, but honestly, why rush? Stay a few days, soak in the vibes, and give your camera a workout. Between the jaw-dropping photo ops, scenic hikes, and crystal-clear beaches, Nusa Penida is a paradise for both adventurers and people who just want to lie on the sand pretending to read a book. Getting to Nusa Penida is straightforward – hop on a speedboat or a ferry from Sanur Beach in Bali. The speedboat ride takes about 45 minutes, which is just enough time to reapply sunscreen or practice your "I woke up like this" selfie pose. With multiple departures daily, you’re spoiled for choice. Once you’re on the island, the West is where the party’s at: Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong, Crystal Bay, and Paluang Cliff are the star attractions. Over on the East side, you’ll find the dazzling Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach, perfect for those who like their beaches with a side of dramatic cliffs. Fair warning, though – with the influx of tourists, the island could use a serious Marie Kondo clean-up session. So, while you’re snapping your millionth photo, remember to leave nothing but footprints and maybe pick up a bit of trash. Let’s keep this gem sparkling for everyone to enjoy

Great views, you'll have to ride a boat from Bali. Bring umbrella as it's either too hot or it rains suddenly. It's nice to have a private transportation so you can visit famous attractions if you're short of time. Good for dayntrip!

We got to explore the following with our Klook Booking: -Kelingking beach -Broken Beach -Angels Billabong -Bubu Beach -Virgin Beach All in all a wonderful experience. If you want to swim in Kelingking beach make sure you have allotted around 2 hours hike time going down and up the stairs to reach the beach. The trail is kinda slippery and crowded so make sure you wear comfortable footwear.

It was an amazing experience to go snorkeling! Just a heads-up: if the sea is wavy, you might accidentally swallow a bit of water. That happened to me, and I ended up getting sea poisoning, so I had to visit a clinic and get some IV fluids and electrolytes. Fortunately, I was back on my feet after two days!

Amazing place, try to be there by 9 am, past 10 is already way too crowded. Going down the stairs is not for anyone, so unless you train often, I would recommend to stay away, unless you use the crane and go down together with them.

Nusa Penida is wild and beautiful. Definitely worth an overnighter but ….. Be prepared for very basic road infrastructure which almost disappears at places. Far flung beautiful and crystal sand beaches, and of course hundreds of Instagram influencers. Let’s face it, this is one of the most instagrammable spots around Bali and hence you will see more than the usual hordes of selfie clicking, gown wearing and heavily made up influencers (which can be more than a minor irritation). But back the main topic, Penida is amazing and it would be even more amazing if it had proper roads. We traversed lower half of the island in a car, ticking off places like Crystal beach, Broken bay, Angels billabong, Kelingkling beach, Diamond beach, Atur beach and more. Took us the whole day just to visit all these places without spending too much time anywhere. All of them are spectacular and I would advise to start early before the hordes of day trippers descend from Bali. The other thing we enjoyed was snorkeling with Mantas and what a show we had - both at Manta point and Manta Bay. Swam practically in the middle of a school of feeding mantas - experience of a lifetime.

This island has some of the best spots when you go to Bali. Do not miss this place. But keep in mind that the road condition is bad, very very bad that will take you longer to reach each point around the island than estimated. Do not miss Kelingking beach, Diamond beach, tree house, Suwehan beach… they are superb.
