Nusa Penida is like Bali’s little sibling – smaller, quieter, but oh-so-stunning. It’s the Instagram model of the Bali province, with views so breathtaking they might just knock your flip-flops off. Only 25 kilometers from Bali (basically a stone's throw if you have a really good arm), this exotic island offers scenery so good you’ll forget how many stairs you’ve climbed to get those perfect photos. Sure, you can do a whirlwind day trip from Bali and cram everything into a few hours, but honestly, why rush? Stay a few days, soak in the vibes, and give your camera a workout. Between the jaw-dropping photo ops, scenic hikes, and crystal-clear beaches, Nusa Penida is a paradise for both adventurers and people who just want to lie on the sand pretending to read a book. Getting to Nusa Penida is straightforward – hop on a speedboat or a ferry from Sanur Beach in Bali. The speedboat ride takes about 45 minutes, which is just enough time to reapply sunscreen or practice your "I woke up like this" selfie pose. With multiple departures daily, you’re spoiled for choice. Once you’re on the island, the West is where the party’s at: Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong, Crystal Bay, and Paluang Cliff are the star attractions. Over on the East side, you’ll find the dazzling Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach, perfect for those who like their beaches with a side of dramatic cliffs. Fair warning, though – with the influx of tourists, the island could use a serious Marie Kondo clean-up session. So, while you’re snapping your millionth photo, remember to leave nothing but footprints and maybe pick up a bit of trash. Let’s keep this gem sparkling for everyone to enjoy

Great views, you'll have to ride a boat from Bali. Bring umbrella as it's either too hot or it rains suddenly. It's nice to have a private transportation so you can visit famous attractions if you're short of time. Good for dayntrip!

Amazing place, try to be there by 9 am, past 10 is already way too crowded. Going down the stairs is not for anyone, so unless you train often, I would recommend to stay away, unless you use the crane and go down together with them.

This island has some of the best spots when you go to Bali. Do not miss this place. But keep in mind that the road condition is bad, very very bad that will take you longer to reach each point around the island than estimated. Do not miss Kelingking beach, Diamond beach, tree house, Suwehan beach… they are superb.

Nusa Penida is so beautiful! The beaches and views are amazing. The water is very clear and blue. It’s a little hard to travel around the island, but it’s worth it. A great place to visit if you love nature and adventure!

Nusa Penida is a rugged, awe-inspiring island off the southeast coast of Bali that feels like an adventure lover’s dream come true. Often described as Bali’s wild little sibling, this island is famous for its dramatic cliffs, hidden beaches, and raw natural beauty — making it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and photographers. From the jaw-dropping Kelingking Beach with its T-Rex-shaped cliffs to the turquoise waters of Diamond Beach, Nusa Penida’s coastline is simply spectacular. The island is dotted with white-sand beaches, crystal-clear bays, and panoramic viewpoints that showcase some of the most picturesque landscapes in all of Indonesia. Angel’s Billabong and Broken Beach offer surreal coastal formations, while Atuh Beach and Crystal Bay provide more relaxing, swim-friendly options. The waters surrounding Nusa Penida are teeming with marine life. It’s one of the best places in Bali to spot manta rays and the elusive mola mola (sunfish), especially around Manta Point and Crystal Bay. Snorkeling and diving here are world-class, with vibrant reefs and excellent visibility. Nusa Penida is less developed than mainland Bali, which adds to its charm — but also means you should come prepared. Roads can be rough, especially in the interior, and getting to some attractions involves steep climbs or hikes. Renting a scooter or hiring a private driver is the best way to explore, but caution is advised on the narrow, bumpy roads.

Beautiful landscape in Penida is 5star.i wish i have more time and stay few nights in the Island to explore more instead only 1 day marathon trip. 25k/ ticket to entrance the island at the habour Minus point is 1/ Trafic is very bad. Road is small and damage. Too much car in the island. They better use public transport that will help trafic jam in the island. 2/ we pay for entrance island next pay for entrance beach next pay spot picture. Pay for the toilet inside the tourist attraction when we already pay for the ticket entrance

Penida Ice Land is a breathtaking natural wonder! The island offers stunning views with multiple beaches on different sides, all part of the same sea. The scenery is perfect for photography, with dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters. However, keep in mind that the weather is extremely hot, and you can’t actually go down to the beaches—only admire them from above. The journey to the island is by ferry, adding to the adventure. A must-visit for nature lovers and photographers!
