Last week, my family and I went to San Francisco to take care of some business, and we stopped by this restaurant for breakfast. As we walked in, I noticed a male server who casually glanced at us before raising his arm and pointing to a small table by the wall and then turning away. I didn't pay much attention to it, as I am in the service industry myself and understand the real feelings of working long hours every day and doing physically demanding and monotonous work. However, what happened next was simply unbearable. We hadn't sat down for long when he came over and asked us what we wanted to drink,I told him we didn't want any caffeinated beverages and could we have a pot of hot water? His expression looked less than satisfied, and he responded coldly by saying that we would have to pay for hot water. I had never encountered a restaurant that charged for hot water before. Later, I saw that on their menu, it stated that hot water was $1.5 per person. Well, we ordered some snacks. The first one to arrive was the steamed Shao mai,The filling was OK, but the dough was not fresh. It was obvious that it had been sitting at room temperature for too long. Then came the shrimp dumplings, which had small shrimp and tasted average. The dumplings skin was not very tough, and it broke easily with chopsticks. The rice noodle roll skin was very thick and had a bad texture. The rest of the food was mediocre. During our meal, not a single server spoke to us. The busgirl who brought us the snacks would thank me every time she brought something, but she didn't respond to me at all. OK, we finished our meal and paid the bill. I called the male server over, and he still didn't say a word. He just wrote down the total of our bill on the paper where he had written down our orders. What century is this? They still write the bill by hand here. OK, I wrote the total of $41 on the receipt from my credit card, including a $1.5 tip, which was actually me paying for the hot water for him,I thought the matter was settled, but it wasn't. A few days later, I checked my mobile banking app and found that they had charged $44 from my credit card. What a nerve! They dared to change the total amount on my credit card and sneakily added $3 without my permission. When I saw the number, I realized that changing the "1" to a "4" and adding a zero would do the trick. This was the first time I'd encountered something like this, and it was clear that they would do anything to get away with it. I immediately contacted the bank to correct the situation. Today, I received an email from the bank informing me that they had refunded the $3 that was wrongly charged to me. The amount may not be large, but the nature of the incident is very serious. How could they do this for the first time? Has anyone else had a similar experience?
I don't know if the restaurant owners were aware of this, but I'm telling you and everyone else that the behavior of the restaurant staff is highly immoral and disgusting. I also want to remind everyone to be cautious of the restaurant staff, as they are dirty and dishonest. This is a black establishment! DO NOT DINE HERE!!DO NOT DINE HERE!!
