Penny Coffee Roasters Glendora

Had to come visit this coffee spot in Glendora . Not a lot of coffee shops here besides Starbucks - and so we obviously had to come try it out ! It’s in a very cool little public market house with other eateries inside . I heard they roast their own beans . Customer service was very friendly and the shop looked very cool 😎. We ordered a brown sugar latte and a flat white . They even have their own house syrups . Pastries looked really good so we ordered a koign Aman ( these things can be hit or miss) but this one was probably one of the best we’ve had . Has a syrupy center - sweet but delicious . The coffee was also on point ! Will definitely come back !

DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT!! So many options and such nice interior and exterior. Grabbed some food from Limoné and it was so good.

They make THE best lavender latte! In house made lavender syrup is too die for! My only complaint is that the drinks don't come in bigger sizes because I love it so much!

The drip coffee was delicious and the atmosphere of the Glendora Public market is fun and vibrant. The blueberry muffin was more sugary than flavorful, but the real blueberries in the muffin helped make it taste better. Overall, cool little coffee shop in the Glendora market.

So glad to have this place around for when I visit my parents. I live in Portland, OR and have so many solid coffee shops near me. Visiting San Dimas was always hard because it was just Starbucks and a few other places that I didn’t care for that were my only options without having to drive out too far. This shop if just 5 minutes away, they roast their own beans, and the services is always great. I feel like $1 for oat milk is high, but since this isn’t my daily venture, I’ll let it slide. I got a latte both times, so I can’t speak for their other drinks, but I’m happy with what I got.

Fabulous people, great coffee. I've been looking for coffee shops in this area and haven't found anything that makes me want to return vs. just getting a Starbucks drink for conveniency. As early as 7:30 AM these people were able to brighten my day already :) I got a salted caramel latte and it was the perfect morning pick me up ;my drink wasn't overloaded with ice and I was on my way to work so it my coffe wasn't completely water by the time I got to it during a busy shift and I was actually able to enjoy it for longer. Will definitely be stopping back whenever I'm in the area and excited to try more items on the menu. They also have a beautifully curated seasonal menu that sound amazing! My first review but definitely not my last here

I frequent going to Glendora Public Market and I don't get to try Penny Coffee Roasters often. In the past I only went one time. On a recent, trip I was craving some caffeine and was on a short work break so I wanted to try something again. The aroma of coffee was intoxicating good. The cashier was very nice during the whole ordering process. I ordered the Nilla Houjicha with oat milk. Oat milk is an additional charge. The staff works efficiently and appear to enjoy making and serving drinks to each and every customer. Seating is easy since the market has plenty of tables. The Nilla Houjicha was very enjoyable. Not too sweet and boldly flavored enough for me to enjoy a boost of energy. I drank it quickly because it was very delicious. I would have easily ordered another cup of it, but I needed to resist. Lol. Penny Coffee Roasters has more drinks I'd like to try in the future. Great staff, great product and great vibe. ( ^_^)b

It is nice to have a coffee shop inside Glendora Public Market, especially sincd they open at 7:00 AM every day. The staff are friendly, energetic, and welcoming. I ordered two iced coffees with salted caramel. My daughter enjoyed her drink. For me, I felt it was a little bitter. I didn't feel the caramel or the balance between coffee and caramel as much as I would have hoped. However, I still liked my drink, and would definitely come back to try their lattes and more of their menu items. Overall, it is a nice coffee shop to stop by and have a fast and pleasant service

I'm such a fan of Penny Coffee Roasters. I typically order a Matcha Latte with Lavender and it has always been consistently good. They now regularly have seasonal drinks (which I don't think I noticed until maybe the last year?) and they always hit! Staff here is always super friendly. Location in the Glendora Public Market is perfect (there's always easy parking). If I had one complaint? Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait depending on the time of day you go. I've once waited 15 minutes for a drink because there were a few drinks ahead of mine. It's definitely not a spot you'd go for a quick coffee.

This has been my go to coffee shop on the weekends. I usually get Americano or latte and they are consistent. Oh don't forget about the Nilla Hojicha! It's hard to find a place that perfects Hojicha. Its earthy flavor can be difficult to handle. All the workers are professional and knowledgeable. I get their beans too since they roast them on site and package date is within a week. Conveniently located to the parking side which makes the visit even easier. The reason for -1 star is that I have to ask 1oz less milk because I think it's diluted too much with milk. But they do it and is consistent.

Another day, another Spanish latte. It's everyone's seasonal drink right now and that's okay with me. This coffee is really good but the location seems sad. It's located inside the Glendora public market that seems to not be able to hold on to any one place. We were fascinated to see the actual roasting process taking place in front of us. They sell their beans, cups, shirts and other coffee accessories. The baristas were all very friendly, explained their drinks and roasting process. The drinks were delicious, not overly sweet and coffee flavors really came through. I am secretly hoping they can open their own stand alone. They deserve it.

Popped in here just as they opened at 7am so parking was easy. We ordered a regular medium coffee and also the Spanish latte off the summer menu and it was perfectly made. Also had to get a chocolate chip cookie because they looked too good - and yes we ate it for breakfast and yes it was delicious! We've never seen this at other coffee shops/roasters, but we were also able to purchase a large, empty, burlap coffee bean sack for $1. Not sure what we'll do with it yet! There was plenty of seating this early in the morning.

Ordered a matcha latte and it wasn't even properly sifted. You could see chunks of matcha in the latte floating. The matcha was also pretty watered down and looked very pale. The menu is also quite misleading because the drink comes unsweetened and the sweetener is $1 extra. Only upside is service was fast but maybe actually sift the matcha properly next time even if it takes longer. It wasn't even busy.

This is located inside of the Glendora Public Market. The coffee is very good, if a little expensive. It also takes awhile to get, but we only waited around 10 minutes. Parking is limited due to the popularity of the market, so be sure to go early. While their regular menu was a little boring, the seasonal menu branches out into some fun flavors!

Penny Coffee Roasters operates in the corner of Glendora public market. There is plenty of space to chill and do homework if you need a work space, but the WiFi is limited to spectrum free trial or some non-secured networks from the other vendors. I haven't tried their coffee yet, but I had their kombucha on tap which was pretty good and a matcha tonic. They prepare the matcha really well here. Might have been the best matcha tonic I've had just because the matcha actually stood against the tonic water. My favorite part about this place though is the service. The first time I wanted to try this place, I totally did not get the cues that they had just closed. I saw people working and just went up to the counter. the guy I'm assuming is the owner answered my questions, patiently waited for me to look through the menu, and took my order. It wasn't until after I noticed the lights in their area was off and I looked at their hours online and they had just closed. LOL. I appreciate his hospitality that day.

I come to this coffee shop every time I have work around the area. I love a simple espresso drink. Whenever I come here I order myself an Iced Americano, or the lavender latte with oat milk. I have also had their black coffee and it is delicious. They roast their beans right behind the counter and they always do a great job. Feels great drinking a nice cup of coffee knowing it was roasted on site. The location is right within Haven City Market Glendora. Fortunately this coffee shop is open at 7am to fulfill its coffee duties. The menu is basic and simple, which I love nowadays given how complex many cafes are getting. As a roaster I actually love how small their operation is. They have just the right amount of staff to keep business going smoothly. They also sell amazing packaged coffee from wonderful farming regions. Overall If you like a nice cup of hot or cold coffee or something simple yet delicious with great beans, please check this place out.

I have come here a few times for their matcha with a cream top and it has always been good. Their drinks are on the milky creamy side so keep that in mind. They have different kinds of syrups and natural sweeteners like honey and agave. These can all be used for your cream top flavor as well. Workers here are super sweet and will give you any explanations you need. They have a kombucha there as well that tasted great! Parking is in the free lot and bathrooms are available inside the marketplace.

A sunlit coffee shop that offers quality espresso drinks and match for studying. I ordered their 100% B.S. latte which is brown sugar. Great blend, I expected a super sweet drink like from Starbucks, but it's name is deceiving in a good way. It was rich and creamy and a hint of sweetness, so that it still held its coffee nature. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their products, offering fast paced service and a chill environment.

Penny Coffee Roasters is an absolute gem. The coffee is well-brewed; the service is exemplary; and the strong caffeine is welcomed. I ordered the regular, iced Vanilla Latte ($5.50). I waited only 2 minutes and 30 seconds. It's crisp, fresh, vanilla flavored coffee. It's strong yet not bitter. The drink is smooth and refreshing. Unfortunately. Penny Coffee Roasters liquid to ice ratio is inconsistent. The first day, the beverage was not watered down. The second day, the ice had literally doubled and its liquid tasted watery. The drinks will be inconsistent depending on the preparer. Regardless, staff continues to be friendly and helpful. They are accommodating and quick to assist. Penny Coffee Roasters is hidden inside the Glendora Market building. The parking is plentiful. The location is very clean and well-ventilated. I observed many tables inside with customers on laptops; there are also several charging electrical sockets on the floor for devices. The location is cozy, and it's an exemplary place to study and work on your device. Overall, Penny Coffee Roasters offers good beverages. 4.5/5

Such a great addition to the Glendora Public Market! + parking is a breeze, there is a lot for the Glendora public market + fantastic service every visit + delicious drinks. Lattes, coffees, match, chai-- everything I have had has been perfect + a good amount of seating in the Glendora public market if you plan on hanging out and trying food from the different stalls

I came to Glendora Public Market (GPM) for lunch today. I have been wanting to try Penny Coffee Roasters, but every time I am at the GPM, they are closed. I guess the previous times have been after 5:00 PM, hence, I missed them. But today, I caught them in action. They have this really neat and huge coffee grinder which I find very interesting. I'm sure there is an intriguing back story to its existence. I'll have to ask about it next time. I am not much of a coffee drinker, but I am open to trying a coffee of some form from time to time. The nice gentleman behind the counter recommended their latte so I got a hot lavender latte. It was very smooth and light just the way I like it. Thank you sir! However, I thought the cup was a bit small... wished it was bigger. I don't remember if they have different sizes. I'll have to pay more attention next time LOL. I'll definitely return to try their other latte flavors. I just have to catch them before 5:00 PM any day of the week. Happy Penny Coffee Roasting!

The Iced Vanilla Latte is very good. Not too sweet. Reasonable pricing. My family member also loved her plain iced coffee. Staff are very sweet here. I would return for iced and hot coffee at Penny's.

The nicest staff here! First time trying Penny and visiting the food hall in general. Staff was really understanding when I told them I take awhile to order. Ended up getting an iced matcha tonic with honey as my sweetener. Drink didn't take long to make. It was refreshing, citrusy, and matcha was very earthy. You can tell they put care into their drinks. Solid spot for a coffee break.

Cute little coffee shop in the glendora public market with lots of different drinks. I had their nila houjicha and it was delicious, not too sweet and very strong tea notes. Their vanilla latte was also very strong and delicious. Their peanut butter latte has more peanut flavors as opposed to peanut butter, but also very good. Service is also helpful and enthusiastic :)

We ordered the kombucha on tap (Hawaiian pog) it has a really gentle taste, not overly sweet and I enjoyed it. Service was excellent, got me extra water while at Glendora public marketplace, most of the shops are stingy with water or charge for it! Cashier seemed happy to serve! They are located right by one of exits so easy to hop in and grab your dunk and go

Great coffee, even better service. Christian is very helpful and kind. This coffee shop is located in a cool marketplace with other delicious spots. I like the atmosphere and the unique drinks that they have to offer.

All good food halls should have a good coffee shop, but so many don't. Thankfully Glendora Public Market does. Penny Roaster is one the tenants who has been there from the start. As much as I love great coffee it wasn't until now that I really gave them a try. I hear the two classics go-to's are the salted Carmel & the vanilla latte. I decided to go with the vanilla latte. I think you can judge any great coffee place on just how good there vanilla latte is. This vanilla latte is as good as you will get in terms of a vanilla latte. A good balance of sweetness and coffee taste. A good medium roast which at the moment was a 50/50 blend of Ethiopia and something else. The level of quality screams exceptional, better than just about everything you can find within Glendora or neighboring cities. Worth a stop if you're passing by. Penny Roasters also now does seasonal flavors which I may try. They also have their own beans which I may need to get a bag next time which they also roast on site. If you ever in need of a good vanilla latte that won't discount this is your place.

Penny Coffee Roasters is located inside the Glendora Public Market. The market has its own parking lot with plenty of spaces. In additional to their regular menu, it looks like they often have seasonal drinks so look for a small sign by the cash register. I tried both their mocha and salted caramel latte on different days. A solid choice for coffee if you are in the area, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it. Service was friendly!

I usually like to support small businesses but this Coffee shop is an exception. I went once but will never go back again. The worst Coffee i ever tasted. I tried to add creamer, milk to change it's awful taste but I couldn't. I threw it away.

Came by here on our way down from the mountain. Wanted to try a new coffee shop that had quality items. Such a cute quaint place. And house made syrups...say less. Right when I walked in, the coffee bar was located on my right. They had branded items and a clean system. Service was quick and the staff was helpful when choosing what to order. I believe they're opening up a 2nd location which I thought was amazing for them! Would come back. Also I got an iced vanilla latte!

Matcha tastes like all milk. Kind of took a while for them to make the drink. Matcha latte with oat milk was about $9 including tip Place is in a food court like building/establishment.

Not reviewing the place, but their coffee bean (Bookissa) I bought from Cafe FC was a jackpot. I've been looking for good local roasters and this Penny is great. Didn't expect it to have my preferred profile which is light and fruity, even Klatch tends to be on the medium/dark side. Great both as pourover and espresso, and totally easy to dial-in as well. Looking forward to actually come to their cafes and get new beans from these guys, potentially subbed.

On our way to Corona from LA we wanted to get coffee and I found this place on Yelp. It's located inside the Glendora Public Market where you will find many places to eat. The coffee here tastes amazing. I got a cold brew with milk and my husband got an americano and we both enjoyed our coffee very much. I also got a ham and cheese croissant my husband got an almond croissant. Both fresh and amazing. There are couches nearby the coffee stand that you can sit and enjoy but we had it to go. Customer service was friendly.

Parking was great. Plenty of spots open, they even have some overflow parking next door! Service was amazing and the workers there a very nice! The Matcha Pina Colada was delicious! I usually get coffee but I Decided to switch it up this time. I'm so glad I did. I recommend ordering off the seasonal menu. The regular menu looked great as well. Ambiance I give is a 10/10! It's in the Glendora market place with plenty of open seats to choose from.. very comfortable and relaxing type of vibe. I will definitely be coming back. If you're in the Glendora area you MUST CHECK IT OUT.

It's becoming a bit more common to find Espresso Tonics on menu but it's always a treat when you do see one. The espresso they used had great notes of citrus that really made the drink special. Combine that with great location in a food hall made it extra special.

Ordered the nilla hojicha (roasted green tea/ nutty flavor) IT WAS SOOOO GOODand the male employee was a so kind.

quite honestly the most knowledgeable staff , its like a work of art seeing andrew do the best drinks in town by far. Tremendous Talent and Flavor At this location. My wife is a coffee aficionado, i just go to make company, but i have an eye for Talent and this team is it. I own Taco king on azusa avenue , 246 n azusa avenue (tacokings626 on instagram) and the passion that has taken me more than 7 years in business and goin strong is the same that i feel in the baristas here, they pour the best they got tk keep you coming back, unlike starbucks or coffe bean where they have lost their soul in the process this really is way better and the real deal. shout out to the whole team we will be back!

I love Penny! Especially their vanilla latte with lavender and honey Penny is located inside a food market place. It's nice and small so not overwhelming and the only coffee spot inside. You can sit and work remotely here with your cafecito.

I get tired of Starbucks so I wanted something from a mom and pop coffee place. Went out of my way to get a graham cracker honey oatmilk latte. AMAZING!! I love coffee and this is some of the best coffee I've ever had. Customer Service was excellent. If I didn't live so far, I would be back. Highly recommend!!

#7 in my SOCAL COFFEE SHOP SERIES Located in the Glendora Public Market is this solid coffee shop with delicious coffee and fresh roasted coffee beans! Penny's is their own roasters and roast the beans right at their kiosk. I love watching the bean roasting process, and the workers there are more than happy to chat with you about it. As for the drinks, they have all of your classics as well as seasonal speciality items. I got the PB&J latte ($7) which was really good. Honestly, one of the better lattes I've had. It was nutty, not too sweet, great espresso, and a good consistency. Their drinks are a few cents more expensive than other places and since it's in a public market it's not the best place to study or get work done, but definitely a good place for a date or to hang with people.

I visited Penny Coffee Roasters to study with a friend, and I didn't know that they are in a small food-court like area with a small amount of parking. There is quite a bit of seating here shared between many restaurants, and they are clean and enjoyable to use. I ordered a large latte, and I really enjoyed my interaction with the barista. I watched my latte form start to finish, and my eyes were amazed at the way that he blended the espresso and whole milk when transferring it into the cup. The latte was extremely smooth and refreshing to drink!

I stumbled upon a fantastic coffee shop yesterday afternoon at Glendora Public Market! When you first walk in through the door, you get a wonderful smell of fresh coffee being made and a delicious looking display of pastries at the counter! Penny Coffee Roasters has a welcoming ambiance from the friendly staff to their great service. There's plenty of seating around and it's a great place to study for a few hours or hang out with friends! The baristas here definitely know their craft and make some delicious drinks here. The limited time drinks caught my eye and when I read the description for the lil' lads' potion, I knew I had to get it and I also ordered a kougin-amann pastry since I've never had it before and it sounded delicious! It took a little bit of time before I got my drink, but quality takes time to make and once I took a sip, it was worth the wait! Their strawberry syrup combined with the high quality matcha worked perfectly as a latte and the addition of the strawberry-sweetened foam was a great compliment! The kougin-amann was also amazing and such a delicious pastry! I loved how buttery and rich it was and it paired well with my drink! I can confidently give my recommendation for both items and would for sure order them again. I wanted to give a shout-out to Pauline who was an amazing barista who took my order and crafted my drink for me. She answered any questions I had about the menu and was a friendly person to chat with! If you are looking for a great coffee spot, definitely hit up Penny Coffee Roasters. You won't be disappointed by the great drinks and friendly staff!

Best matcha got vanilla cold foam , Nice people good service be patient with them it's worth it

One of my favorite places to grab a coffee if I'm there earlier in the day. Simple menu, simple ingredients. Friendly staff. If you go early in the morning they will be open and have some pastries or the other place open early in the same building is the bagel place. So you can grab a complete breakfast all in one stop and guarantee yourself good coffee.

This is hands down the best coffee spot in the Glendora / San Dimas Area! The coffee is masterfully made with high quality beans. None of their specialty coffees are overly sweet and the customer service is always extremely friendly. I look forward to coming here as often as I can! It is located in the Glendora Marketplace so there are tons of food options to pair with your coffee. Plenty of seating, but not many plugs around if you are trying to camp out with your laptop, but still a great place to sit and enjoy a nice latte!
