Was in the area for a dentist appointment and stopped in for a slice, all the had was cheese but he put some pepperoni in the oven for me. Small place, no real seating but the service and pizza were outstanding. I will definitely be back to try a whole fresh one!

Absolutely phenomenal pizza. Been to NY and had several of Dave Portnoy‘s favorite pizzas. Once you go down the rabbit hole of becoming a pizza snob, you realize we just don’t have that kind of pizza here in Michigan. Now this isn’t quite the same as NY or Freddy the pizza man in Detroit but it’s delicious. Great sauce, great cheese, solid crust. Good char and recommend asking for well done if you like a little extra char flavor.

The Kurdish pizza was really good and the crust was crispy and flavorful. Highly recommend if you’re around this area.

This is the best tasting pizza I've had in years in the Grand Rapids area. It's a small family owned business and their menu offers a nice variety. Will definitely be visiting them again.

Pera also has great Turkish food! The smells and tastes remind me of the time I lived in Turkey. Try their humus and shish; you will not be disappointed. The service and people are also wonderful!

Best pizza ever 😋 The brick oven makes the flavor so unique and delicious, and you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. The rice pudding was also perfect, the best sweet finish! Can’t wait to come back again with friends.

I love a good wood/coal fired pizza. Visited this place for a weekday lunch. Was surprised there is no indoor seating only outdoor. The day was rainy, but there were 2 open barstools by the window. I ordered the pepperoni pizza from the small order counter. You see the prep table and awesome pizza oven right in front of you. Since I was thrown off by the seating, I didnt even think to ask about slices, but they do serve cheese and pepperoni slices. The crust is delicious with a bit of chew on the inside and nice slight crunch on the outside from the oven. The pepperoni was thick. They have several other pizzas that include toppings like mushrooms, chicken, red onion, sausage (lamb I believe), plus on the menu are salads and Mediterranean entrees and a few kid menu items. Definitely will go back to order pizza to go.

Wow! My husband and I are HUGE pizza fans. If it's wood fire, we are there. Pera was super easy to place an order with- called, immediately answered phone, placed order, they confirmed items, 10-20 minute time given. The pizza is wood fired, thinner crust (see angled pic of Istanbul pizza). There is a smaller amount of sauce (which I prefer), cheese is perfectly salty but not greasy. Pepperonis were thick cut and formed cups- my favorite! The Istanbul pizza is perfect for vegetarians- the veggies were very fresh and flavorful. The hummus came with 2 slices of pita, which in my opinion is not enough for the size of the container. Nonetheless, as an Armenian, this is one of the better restaurant hummuses that I have had. Our bill was $49 with tip. The employees were very friendly and prompt to help me when I walked in.

Ordered pizza, pasta and a wrap and all were fantastic! Loved this take out place! Super friendly staff as well and FAST service!

We were looking for a quick pizza in GR and this place was near the top of the list, so I had to try it myself. Small storefront, one of the older chefs was sitting out front and greeted us as we came in. These guys were super friendly and seemed straight out of Europe by the tone of the accent and the great service attitude. We ordered two pizzas, and while this place is primarily take out and they bring the pizzas out to you already boxed, there are a few tables on the sidewalk out front, and I think maybe two barstools inside the front door. We sat outside on the sidewalk on this warm early summer day and it was a fantastic dining experience all around. We had a greek pizza and an Aegean. Both were delicious. Thin crusty, nicely charred, almost all crispy except in the center where the toppings lay thick. Tangy, deep flavored sauce and generous prosciutto, feta, mushrooms and all the other toppings. I will keep this place on my list to go back for their other Mediterranean dishes. Definitely worth a repeat!

Great food each time we have come here and super nice staff! They kindly accommodated our dairy allergy (on pizza of all things!). We really enjoyed the Istanbul pizza, kofte wrap, and salmon entree. The red sauce, salmon and spinach are such a delicious combo I would never have thought of. Amazing rice pudding I'll be thinking about for days!

Great pizza! I would recommend getting a full pizza over the slice; however, the slice is roughly a quarter of the pizza. The service was great and they were very welcoming! Definitely recommend for anyone in the area!

Seems like a family business. Service is friendly, pizzas are made quickly. Prices and food are...pretty good. There was seating for I think two people at a window table, and that's it. So don't plan on bringing friends here to have a meal. As soon as I bit into the pepperoni pizza, I could taste the fresh tomato in the sauce. The old world pepperoni is a nice touch you don't find at many places. Overall, if you're looking for this style of pizza, you'll probably enjoy a pie from this place. It won't blow your socks off, but it's good food.

First time trying Pera and had pizza delivered last night. One was cooked well, but I needed to put a lot of seasoning on it. Ingredients seemed fresh but overall was lacking in taste. Decent crust. Other pizza is the same story, but 75% of the pizza was burnt on the bottom. Overall, this left the majority of the pizza bitter and inedible. I love a good, crispy, wood fired pizza, but this was bad.

First time at Pera... wasn't sure what to expect! Food looked pretty good so we gave the pepperoni pizza and salad a try. Both pretty great - always love when the little Pepperoni cups curl up. Only thing that's tough is keeping the bottom crispy once it gets into the to-go box. All in all I thought it was pretty good.

A friend and I remember we stopped by this place a while ago (but didn't eat) and decided today was the day to eat here. The food was amazing and we were greeted by the sweetest people ever! The food was amazing and our wait was only 15 mins for an incredible beef wrap! The fries are absolutely amazing too! The restaurant is in a very cool shotgun style property so no inside seating but so many outdoor seating options and had beautiful navy blue colors and cool wines to choose from!

Great service. Very friendly and open. Food is delicious and fresh. Environment is comfy a rustic.

My first visit and found great pizza. Pizza had fresh bell pepper, red onion and pepperoni which are toppings and sauce tasty, I requested. People took my order very kind. Took pizza home and ate with pleasure. I recommend and will be back.

Handmade 12" Kurdish pizza featuring beef Armenian sausage and mushrooms. Really a treat. I could not believe how quickly they made this pizza and then cooked it in two minutes in their brick oven. They have a nice assortment of organic pizzas and other treats. There really is no indoor dining as this is the old Rose's Express location. I enjoyed this pizza tremendously.

Food is great! We've gotten both their pizza and gyros and would recommend either! Not really anywhere to sit inside but it's a good take out and go to the park situation. Or they have outdoor seating.

Small place but packed with charm. I had a delicious greek salad with lamb patties. Fresh and flavorful. Looks like pizza is their main thing and smelled delicious. I'll try that next time!

Very yummy pizza. Cheesy with plenty of toppings. Friendly service. We will be back. Grand Rapids needed a better pizza place.

Went to order Pizza, but ended up getting Chicken Sish dinner... it was fantastic. Nice family run operation. Will be back!!

Tried Pera for the first time Saturday night and we were very pleased. Tried the Pera salad, which will remind you of a Greek salad with ample veggie toppings and a tasty, what seemed like home-made lemon vinaigrette. Then had the Kurdish pizza which featured Armenian sausage, which will remind you of an authentic merguez but slightly firmer. Delish. One note: the crust got a bit soggy from the sauce as the pizza cooled, so best to eat it promptly if you like it crisp. Pera is a good addition to the neighborhood after Rose's Express closed and we will be returning!

I love this place! The people are so friendly and the pizza is easily top three in the Greater Grand Rapids area.

We ordered a pizza and a chicken salad. I'll start with the salad as it was the better of the two. Growing up In the metro Detroit area (tons of cuisine to choose from), I'll give the nod to the chicken found in the salad. It was flavorful and prepared well. The pizza I would just say was so-so. It was not bad but not great either. For many, pizza is the reason they might visit. Maybe we just caught it in an off night.

My new favorite pizza in Grand Rapids. Made with fresh ingredients and always very quick. Highly recommend to any pizza lovers!

This place is so delicious!!! I also love how incredibly thoughtful the owners/workers are. They always make sure our food is warm and great. I love how it's so cozy in there as well. I always appreciate when the owners appreciate the customers and they always say thank you for supporting them. My favorite is the Istanbul pizza and rice pudding - I don't like rice pudding from anywhere else!! The Burek sticks are amazing and so is the chicken shish.

Lovely little place for take out right in Gaslight Village, I finally got around to ordering some takeout; chicken kebab dinner, greek salad, a side of hummus. The flavors are right on the edge of addicting - now my favorite choice for dinner in EGR!
