The 7 Best Restaurants At The Grove

"Congratulations. You just mouthed off to a 7-year-old in Minion goggles and you’re not even off the escalators yet. Go calm your nerves at Arabica. The order-at-the-window kiosk is located in the main mall area (look for the grassy lawn full of people realizing a picnic at The Grove was a horrible idea) and serves simple, smooth Japanese coffee and tea drinks. The beans at this Kyoto-based shop have a lighter roast, meaning the drinks will wake you up without sending you into the stratosphere." - brant cox

Google
I stopped by % Arabica at The Grove on a rainy night and thought a hot latte would be perfect to chase away the chill. The moment I took my first sip, I knew I made the right choice. The coffee was absolutely fantastic—smooth, rich, and full of depth. I was so impressed that I ended up buying some of their beans to take home! % Arabica really nails the Kyoto coffee vibe with their commitment to quality and clean, simple design. You can tell they pour a lot of passion and precision into every cup. The coffee is all single-origin, sourced from small farms, which adds a nice layer of authenticity and flavor that you won’t find everywhere. If you're a coffee enthusiast, % Arabica is a must-visit spot in the heart of the West Coast. Whether you're looking for a morning boost or a cozy afternoon treat, their expertly crafted brews won’t disappoint.

Google
What a treat to find GOOD coffee in the middle of one of LA’s biggest tourist traps. Kyoto style espresso cafe also serving matcha. The Kyoto latte is perfect. A subtle sweetness that lets the espresso shine. Will definitely be back anytime we’re at the Grove.

Google
Loved my stop here this afternoon! I got a Spanish latte, and it was delicious! Plus, the service was fantastic. I didn't get her name, but the girl in the photo was great! Very kind, and made me a delicious drink! I would highly recommend:)

Google
Our favorite coffee in LA. Pretty good spot in the mall. I wish they have location in sf one day soon!

Google
Yuuuuuumy. I’ve been to a few different Arabica locations but this one has the yummiest coffee. The milk texture is perfect. I really appreciate the service too. Warren was super nice and answered all my questions, pretty informational coffee sesh…and he’s pretty cute 😉 anyways, highly recommend this location for the quality drinks and fun conversation! Thanks again

Google
Every time I stop by this kiosk, I see the same thing: folks behind the counter working hard, making great drinks, and doing it all with a good attitude. And almost every time, I also see someone being unnecessarily rude to them. It’s frustrating to witness. I really can’t wrap my head around the fact that people think it’s okay to snap photos of these employees without permission and post them online in some angry review. That’s just not right. This has been my go-to coffee spot for a while now—especially when I’m at The Grove helping my wife shop. The coffee’s always solid, service is quick, and the staff is genuinely kind. Reading some of these negative reviews, all I see are complaints from entitled people who clearly don’t recognize the effort that goes into good, honest work. I just want to say thank you to this team—you’re doing a great job.

Google
Smooth coffee and good service. The shop is in one of the small octagonal kiosks at The Grove. If you have trouble finding just look for the Nike store, it's right in front. Same coffee franchise as in London. Coffee is very smooth and well done. Employees are very helpful and friendly. No seating inside at this is a kiosk, all seats outside. No pastries that I could see. Best coffee option at The Grove hands down.

Google
Best espresso tonic I've ever had! This espresso tonic was exactly what I needed after a long shopping day! The first sip was like whoa--strong, bold and refreshing. The espresso was smooth, and the tonic added just the right amount of sparkle. If you're into coffee, this drink is a must-try!

Yelp
The grove!! Thank you for having this magical place on your premises!! I'm so impressed with the quality and taste of this coffee! I have to go and try the New York location and the one in Japan!

Yelp
Heard great things about Arabica but never got the chance to try it when I visited Japan. Didn't realize there was one in The Grove til we passed by their kiosk on the way to the Nike store. I highly recommend the iced Kyoto Latte with oatmilk! It comes unsweetened but I always add a little simple syrup. So smooth & yummy. Perfect to sip on while shopping! They have 3 different sizes & the largest one came out to $8. Haven't tried anything else on the menu yet but there's no need to when the Kyoto Latte exists haha.

Yelp
I first discovered this Japanese coffee chain in London a few years ago, and I've been hooked ever since. So imagine my excitement when I found out they had a location right here in LA at The Grove! They have a little outdoor kiosk near Nordstrom. My go-to is the Kyoto Latte...it's smooth and flavorful, true to the Japanese art of coffee. Their pastries are also top-notch...don't skip the Kouign Amann if they have it - it's flaky and oh so buttery! Service is consistently fast and friendly, which makes it a perfect stop during a shopping break. So glad this favorite from abroad is now somewhat nearby!

Yelp
Heard about this in Japan but didn't get a chance to visit. I'm not sure how it compares. I got the matcha latte with oat milk unsweetened. I believe it only comes in a 12 oz size. I don't mind the bitterness but it was just ok. Really quick and convenient. Literally took 30 seconds because they have the matcha pre-made in a squeeze bottle. The other reviews talk about bad service but mine seemed normal.

Yelp
I stopped by % Arabica at The Grove-- it's a small booth, mainly grab and go since there isn't really anywhere to sit. I'm a big fan of % Arabica and have been to their locations in New York and Kyoto, so I was excited to see one here too. I went with the Kyoto Latte this time, and as always, their coffee hits the spot. The quality is consistently great and always leaves me satisfied. Also, service was great!
google avatar

Malissa P.

Yelp
I got the iced matcha latte at % Arabica and it was so good, super smooth and refreshing, with that high quality matcha flavor that's earthy but not bitter at all. The sweetness was just right and it wasn't watered down like a lot of other places. Honestly, one of the best iced matchas I've had! If you're into matcha, this spot is definitely worth checking out
google avatar

Yelp
My go to spot every time i need a quick pick me up at the grove. Today was no different, ordered an iced Spanish latte , regular whole milk. All i tasted was milk. And for 6.45$ that's a lot for a a drink to be made incorrectly, it was to crowded with the Nike event to go back and have them redo it. The barista seemed to be doing to many things at once and she was new on top of that, this is still a good spot but please slow down and train ppl in off peak hours
google avatar

Brizylla A.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee. And a hidden gem for coffee lovers! I think it's hard to pull off a dark roast, cold brew because so much of the nuance of coffee is roasted away. Really enjoyed their cold brew, Spanish latte and Kyoto latte! Their matcha is also one of my favorites.

Hemi Y.

Yelp
The best coffee place at The Grove if not in all of Los Angeles!!!! Even if there's a line, wait! It's so worth it! An adorable little kiosk at The Grove facing an amazing grass area!
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
Really nice stall at the Grove, they use a Slayer espresso machine and the latte foam texture has a great mouth feel. The Kyoto Latte flavor is pretty intense and rich compared to the Caffe Latte. It reminds me of dark chocolate and about halfway the condensed milk starts kicking in and sweetens the drink over time. It might be intimidating for someone who prefers sweeter drinks, but definitely don't add additional sweetener, or it'll be overpowering.

Armando M.

Yelp
I come to Arabica Coffee Shop almost every day, and the service is always wonderful. The staff treats me kindly every time, and the coffee never disappoints. I also love that they have outdoor tables it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy my drink.
google avatar

Alden C.

Yelp
I was visiting the Grove and it was cold so my family and I desperately needed a hot drink. Luckily there was a % Arabica stall right there. Not a whole lot to say, but this is a good coffee shop option especially in the area. Service is friendly. I ordered the Kyoto Latte ($6.25) plus an extra $1 for Oat Milk added. Their sizes aren't the biggest, but the latte was good and had a nice strong flavor. I didn't realize there was condensed milk on the bottom until halfway through the drink. The drinks were made pretty efficiently too and the line moved fast even on a busy day. Would definitely recommend this spot!
google avatar

Raya M.

Yelp
Quality spot! I don't drink coffee, but I've been loving their Kyoto matcha and hot chocolate's. Very good quality! My husband really likes the coffee here, he even bought beans and it's his favorite beans so far for the house. He will be ordering more moving forward. Highly recommended, and this is much better than La La land!

Yelp
First of all I learned that this place is a chain cafe in Japan which I thought was near and second of all the coffee is so smooooth. I wish I lived closer! I survived visiting The Grove on Christmas Eve day but this coffee was a great boost in energy. I tried their mocha latte and it was such a cozy vibe, it even rained a little while I was walking around with it. Anyway the coffee is delicious, it didn't take too long to get even tho it was a little busy and the atmosphere was lovely. Plenty of parking but it costs so... get it validated if you can.
google avatar

Yelp
This little coffee shop is a tiny shop in front of the Nike store at The Grove in Los Angeles. Apparently, it's the spot to get your coffee while you walk around the shopping center. They don't have an extensive menu, but what they do have is just what you need. My friend raved about the Kyoto Latte, so that was the drink of choice. It will come in handy once it starts to get cooler. Tasty and reasonably priced, I'd get it again. The service is fast, as there were 3 employees working on a busy Saturday. The guy at the register could have been more friendly, but I guess he was just trying to ring people up as fast as he could. I'll have to come back to try some of their other drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
Super friendly Service. Don't forget the stamp card as I guarantee you'll be back for more! If you like strong coffee, this is a really good place as they can help you gauge which will fit your pallet better. I like mine strong and not too sweet and the Spanish latte completely hit the spot. A small 8 ounce gave me the good jolt I needed to dance around the grove with life music. If you like dark chocolate. the dark latte is superb! The latte foam on top is very smooth and not bubbly. And when you get to the coffee, it is so perfectly tempered and the aroma is heavenly. Very nicely placed between ice cream and pretzel stalls. Definitely can't go wrong here people watching and enjoying acuppa coffee.
google avatar

Tyler T.

Yelp
Not much to say here! Some good damn coffee on a rainy day just hits so different. It's just one gal working the cashier and the brewing the coffee, so be patient when waiting there!
google avatar

Collyn J.

Yelp
Visited once. Walked over from the park because my nephew had a soccer game and I needed a pick me up. I always eyed this place whenever I'd come to The Grove. Bougie for sure. It's good. It did its job! I think I got the dark mocha, or something like that. Idk if I'd put it up there as an "omg. You HAVE to get it," but I wouldn't stop someone from getting it either.
google avatar

Yelp
% Arabica is a well-known coffee brand with locations worldwide, but the closest one to me is at The Grove. I've been a few times, and while there's often a long line, I've found the coffee here to be pretty mediocre. The drinks are small and a bit pricey. This time, I tried the espresso tonic--it's a mix of citrusy soda with a shot of espresso. It was sweet, tangy, and bitter, but just decent overall. The service feels rushed and very "grab and go." I think I'll be skipping this spot next time I'm at The Grove.
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
I've been to Arabica coffee in Kyoto, Brooklyn, and the Grove. All locations serve strong, rich coffee with the perfect amount of sweetness. The milk didn't overpower the drink and allowed me to enjoy the smooth coffee flavor. You can also adjust the sweetness at the bar with liquid sugar or brown sugar cubes!
google avatar

Lindsay G.

Yelp
If I could give it a zero I would rate this a 0. I typically don't give negative reviews but I was beyond disappointed with the customer service and the drink. I'm always in search of a matcha spot and this place looked adorable. The person who attended my sister and I (green hair on her bangs) started off rude. I can understand being frustrated when being busy but we were the only ones ordering since the grove wasn't open until another 30 minutes. And the drinks, my matcha was unpleasant. It tasted like I was drinking milk with sand. I ended up throwing it away which was disappointing. This has never happened with matcha before unless I'm making it. And my sister ordered a Spanish latte, and hers tasted like water without coffee flavor. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this place.

Giovanna M.

Yelp
Their coffee AND their matcha is soooo good. I've only had their Spanish latte (which is their blend, not single origin) but it's so good. My friend got the matcha latte iced and I was pretty blown away. We are both matcha fanatics and it was some of the best matcha I've ever had. It was very strong and had an incredible floral but delightful taste. If the drinks aren't sweet enough for your preference, I recommend asking for extra sweetened condensed milk.

Yelp
a cute coffee stand and a great addition to the grove located in front of Nordstrom the founder of % arabica has an incredible story on how he started his business, the first and flagship store in Kyoto, Japan % arabica has only 5 location stateside, 4 in NY and only 1 here in LA! with that said, i had to order the iced kyoto latte w/oat milk omg it was so good! a really nice flavor, strong but smooth! service was meh. there was only a person working. i was second in line, she had asked the gentleman in front of me what type of milk he would like in his coffee (he ordered the same drink). when it was my turn to order, the gal did not ask me what type of milk i preferred, i then asked if milk was included in my coffee, her response, "its a latte, yes it has milk" LOL so i asked for oat milk the wait was about 5 mins, she was basically taking the orders then making the drink and repeat.. would def want to try the spanish latte next time!
google avatar

Kathy X.

Yelp
The matcha latte here is really strong, earthy, and just very mildly sweetened, which is what I prefer. The line is always so long, but it moves quickly!
google avatar

Vu N.

Yelp
Let me save you the trouble: RUN. Run in the opposite direction, and don't look back. Why? Because nothing pairs worse with overpriced coffee than a barista with a full-blown attitude and a ring light ego. I walked in ready to caffeinate -- they were too busy taking TikToks and selfies to notice. When I dared to ask a question about my order, the eye-roll I got could've started a windstorm. Sorry for bothering you... with the job you're being paid to do? Safe to say, this was my first and last visit. Now I understand why every other location has a line -- and this one's a ghost town. Mystery solved.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious coffee!! Wow! A must try!! We tried the hot kyoto latte and it was SO good!! Definitely a must Try!!
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
% Arabica is located in a small kiosk just right outside of the Nike store. The service was excellent and the line (although long) moved very quickly. However, I felt like the drink itself (almost $8!) was super small, and I wasn't blown away by the quality of the drink. The milk could've been hotter, and the pull was not as smooth as I expected. Good to try, but probably won't be back.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I really liked Arabica in Tokyo so I was very enthusiastic about the LA location. Sad to report that there's nothing similar between the two except the logo and cups. I ordered a matcha latte iced and it was so grainy, watery, not thick and creamy at all. While I was waiting to order, the baristas inside were struggling to find what they needed to use, and the cashier said "this place is calling apart" right before taking my order. But not in a joking way. So sad!
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
I visited % Arabica on Thanksgiving Day. I was lucky that I made it just in time before closing at 4pm. I got the 8 oz, hot Kyoto Latte. It looked and smelled great, but at 1st sip, it tasted very roasted - almost burnt. I recommend stirring the drink to balance it out and get the sweetness. In my opinion, it was a nice drink, but not super special. One of my family members got the 8 oz, iced Spanish Latte, which was creamy and slightly sweet with lots of ice. The service was quick, but short as the staff was hurrying to finish orders and close the kiosk. I'd visit % Arabica again if I'm in the area and the kiosk is less busy.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
After hearing many great things about % Arabica, I had to try it for myself. As a former barista of many years, I approve of this place. The flavors in the Kyoto iced latte blended seamlessly. It was the perfect amount of sweetness & creaminess. I really dislike when coffee shops make their drinks too sweet, but the Kyoto iced latte was balanced. :) The drinks here are focused on their quality over quantity and I feel like that's super important. I personally love to sip and savor my drink and Arabica is the coffee shop that you have to savor. They care more about the quality in what they deliver.. and most coffee shops don't do that nowadays like Starbucks. Also super duper unique how there are limited amounts of % Arabica shops in the US. So glad that they opened up a location in Los Angeles... super close to me! :) Now I can conveniently sip on my Arabica coffee whilst shopping at the Grove. :-)
google avatar

Claudia S.

Yelp
Strong aromatics and richer body is definitely what I got from Percent Arabica's Kyoto oatmilk latte. It's not too sweet and not too bitter staying true to the description on their menu. Not only am I happy to have a Japanese based coffee shop but I'm so grateful they're in LA because they're only located in LA and NY in the US. Great coffee to sip while you shop!!! Definitely trying all of their menu items when at the Grove!!!

Yelp

Yelp
Listen I totally get that it's the Holiday season at The Grove. Everyone is acting at their Costco best and has no spatial awareness. However, as a business you need to be prepared for this. Both the business and the employees. First of all this place needs more menus for people in line to see what they have - before- they reach the counter. That or an accessible QR code displayed. There were only two clipboards at the front of the line. When I grabbed one to look at it you would've thought I'd had screamed fire or something. Everyone in line was frustrated over this, trying to figure out what they did and didn't have. Secondly, the employees were so incredibly over their jobs. I've worked retail during the holidays for many years, I know it's frustrating - but it's part of the job to be a decent human being. The guy with the brown middle-parted hair and glasses was just so rude. I asked if they had tea and he gave me such a condescending "no we don't have tea here" with a sigh. I said, "I looked at your menu, and you don't have hot chocolate on it either but you seem to be serving it..." Mind you we ordered 5 of these, he didn't ask what size, then quickly brushed us off. Not one other employee in there seems to be trained in customer service. I'm not coming at it from a Karen perspective either, literally expecting a bare minimum "hello." Not thrilled with this experience. I can get mediocre hot chocolate anywhere else and actually find chai too.
google avatar

Ted A.

Yelp
I thought it would be better since it's a famous brand from Japan. This place is just a little kiosk in the Grove (which doesn't validate parking anymore, by the way). I ordered an Americano and it was tiny, expensive, and super bitter. If you're already at the Grove and need a quick coffee break, I suppose it's not terrible. But definitely don't make a special trip for this.
google avatar

Gina K.

Yelp
Best espresso tonic I've ever had! This espresso tonic was exactly what I needed after a long shopping day! The first sip was like whoa--strong, bold and refreshing. The espresso was smooth, and the tonic added just the right amount of sparkle. If you're into coffee, this drink is a must-try!

Yelp
I would like to state the fact that my family and I have been waiting in line for this coffee spot for 20 mins just to be told the people ahead of us were the last customers. We came out all the way from san diego and wanted to try this coffee spot out. We wish someone came out at least 5 mins until closing telling everyone in line that they will not be able to place a order. The picture below that I have provided is the employee that was very unprofessional and told us we weren't able to place an order 5 more mins until closing AFTER waiting 20 mins in line. She shut the window on us mid conversation.
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
I had an iced americano. The coffee was one of the smoothest I've had. It had some mild fruity notes. The employee taking the order was friendly and took the time to explain some of their drinks and made recommendations to my friends
google avatar

AJ B.

Yelp
Fire service and fire coffee. Even just a regular oatmilk latte was fire! I'll be back real soon!
google avatar

Gmoney G.

Yelp
soo glad this is in la!! i just got back from nyc missing all of their wonderful coffees. apparently they dont have flavoring just basic stuff. hope this isnt a pop up and is here to stay
google avatar

Sharon Z.

Yelp
Looking for a pick me up? As a coffee snob, I recommend coming here for your coffee if you're at the grove! I ordered a dark latte with oat milk and the espresso flavor was to perfection. They have a range of cup sizes than the typical 12 or 16oz. You order at the window and pick up on the other side. My friend ordered an espresso macchiato and loved it!!
google avatar

Celine K.

Yelp
the kyoto latte was pretty good! i added a bit more simple syrup and i enjoyed it more that way. the drinks don't come too sweet so its good to taste and adjust.
google avatar

Karina S.

Yelp
A cute little coffee stand in the Grove! There was a short line to order on a Saturday afternoon but the drinks came out quickly. I thought the matcha latte was a bit pricy for the small size (though this may just be to be expected at the Grove), but that the matcha flavor was on point.

Vlad M.

Yelp
Came in Monday 9th at about 2 pm The guy who was working the hut was the rudest person I've ever met. Very entitled and kept making rude remarks. Never getting a coffee there again
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Coffee here is great, ordered the iced dark latte which had a nice rich chocolate flavor, but not too sweet. If you order this, I recommend to stir or shake it since the chocolate is at the bottom. Sort of reminded me of a Ghirardelli hot chocolate. Coffee came out pretty quickly and the service here from the employees were great. Definitely lives up to the hype. Price is fairly reasonable, compares to most other coffee shops here in LA. Theres a couple tables nearby, but they tend to fill up pretty quickly.
google avatar

Carla R.

Yelp
The coffee itself is good and strong. However i think I was most disappointed because they only had whole milk when I went which basically defeated the whole purpose of my order so I ended up quickly ordering an americano which was pretty good. It's always extremely busy there but they fast with their orders which i can't complain. It seemed that they're so busy with orders also the vibes are more just taking your order and go not that friendly. Regardless I'd give it another try.
google avatar

Isabel B.

Yelp
Not the same as the Japanese locations. Coffee is pretty mid, no decaf options. Service is usually pretty quick especially since the grove is normally packed. It's a kiosk so no dedicated seating but the grove has some few tables and chairs nearby.
google avatar

K R.

Yelp
Just asked for a cup of ice to add to my coffee and the IMMATURE UNPROFESSIONAL CHILD gave me a sarcastic monologue as to why he didn't want to do that then when I said "NeverMind- just forget it" he then tried to save it by saying "no it's okay I got you." TOO LATE. Such an unprofessional kid working there. I'll make sure to all everyone to not get coffee here- it's not even good.
google avatar

Mai T.

Yelp
I had the chance to try this coffee shop when I visited Japan last year. The Kyoto latte is one of the best lattes I have tried. Staff here is very friendly and knowledgable on the beans they serve. I only come to the Grove just for their lattes and this is the only west coast location.
google avatar

Angie H.

Yelp
Stumbled across this small little coffee establishment at the grove. I got a Spanish latte. The coffee here is rich and robust, not too sweet, taste. The coffee was okay, was looking for something on the sweeter side but the only thing closest to sweet was the Spanish latte which was not close to sweet.
