Medellín’s Third-Wave Cafes Are Changing the Colombian Coffee Scene | Eater

"A family-run coffee operation that transitioned from exporting beans to building a local specialty-coffee culture after opening its first cafe on Primavera Street in 2012. It has expanded to eight city locations and trains locals to become baristas, aiming to shift from roughly 60% exports toward a 50-50 split by teaching customers to appreciate different bean varieties and preparation methods; menu items like cold brew and frappes have helped attract younger drinkers. The company emphasizes paying producers better and partners with groups such as the Women's Agricultural Association of the Cauca Department to offer fair rates, training, and organic-farming knowledge, with the stated goal of placing more income in farmers’ hands to secure long-term supply amid an aging farming population." - Liliana López Sorzano

I had no expectations, I was just looking for a place to have breakfast near where I was staying. But it turned out to be my favorite cafe in the country so far. The service was fast, the place is absolutely beautiful, and the food was delicious. The decoration was nice, and the merchandise was super nice, I loved it. Highly recommend it to everyone!

Place is actually really gorgeous, and it has an opened Terrace in the middle and also it has a second floor. Plenty of space to do remote work. They have good food options. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was really good. And they’re iced tea was phenomenal. I’m happy to have come here to have a small dinner, but I don’t think I’ll return because for a café I like a more intimate and like quiet vibe to relax. And this place is just like really busy. It’s really good but it’s also really busy, so it’s not really my vibe. The second floor is a little more quiet, but most people are working so again not my vibe since I come to relax. Gorgeous place and good food.

I LOVED this cafe! So much so, that during my five day stay in Laureles, I came back three mornings in a row. What an adorable atmosphere. The menu is great - very large with healthy options. Quality of coffee was very good with a big coffee menu. Will absolutely be back if I am in Medellín again. Thank you ! ☕️🥐

Cute Instagram-worthy café — perfect spot for aesthetic pics and videos! 📸✨ The vibes were great, but it was a bit on the pricey side and we didn’t feel super full after brunch. Still, a nice place to visit for the ambiance!

My friend and I went to this café so many times during our trip! Everything we tried was delicious—except the chocolate cake, which was a bit dry and I didn’t end up finishing it. But aside from that, the customer service, brunch, and lunch were all fantastic. I especially appreciated how patient the staff was with our mix of Spanish and English. Estephanie and José David were our favorites! We’ll definitely be back to visit!

We came here for breakfast, and it was truly a divine experience. The food was a delightful explosion of flavors and incredibly delicious, with both the sweet and savory options being outstanding. The interior vibe was beautiful, adding to the overall charm of the place. The juices were fresh, the coffee was rich and strong, and it made for the perfect start to a lovely morning. There is also gift shop merchandise available, and you can also take some pastries or coffee to go.

Great spot in Laureles! Been to this cafe a few times now! Only took picture of my vegan sandwich and my brioche. Both were good. However the vegan bowl is really tasty! I would recommend that they add olive oil in as without it, it’s a bit dry ✨🥗

Pergamino is such a beautiful spot! I’ve been twice. The food and coffee are great. I especially liked the yuca waffles since they’re gluten free. They have loads of coffee options às well. Check out their store too, they have really cool gear and coffee options.
