The 38 Best Restaurants in Indianapolis, Indiana

"Open for: Breakfast, lunch, dinnerPrice range: $In Hendrick’s County’s far northeast corner, an hour’s drive from Indy, Perillo’s Pizza sits in a renovated 19th-century doctor’s office, plunked down in America’s farmland. Chef Damiano Perillo, a culinary school graduate in his native Palermo, Italy, works alongside his wife, Hoosier-born Meredith, to craft various pies, including a Sicilian and a traditional New York-style. Baked on stone and topped with locally sourced ingredients from Indiana farmers, the pizzas are best enjoyed on the outdoor patio with something from the carefully selected list of Italian wines and Indiana beers. Know before you go: Cash only." - Brian Garrido

My wife and I have made a drivable bucket list of the best places to eat in Indiana. This restaurant is on the list as part of the 2024 best restaurants in Indiana book. Amazing restaurant and a simple drove NW of Indy. Come and enjoy as you will not be disappointed. We will be back for their pizza with family and friends

Amazing food! Undercover gem!! Huge fan

Google
Worker was very nice and gave us as many options as possible. Pizza was very very good and unique. Would recommended anyone nearby try it out if they want a Puerto Rican spin off on pizza!

Our pizza journey continued to Perillo's that had been on our list for quite awhile. We ordered the NY style with black olives and fresh tomatoes. The Sicilian we had made with sausage, pepperoni, green peppers and black olives. We also had an order of their bread twists garlic. After picking up our order we just had to try a slice of the NY style right away. In the outdoor patio area, we each had a slice and it was one of the best first pizza bites ever. The flavor was slightly sweet, just the right amount of cheese and the fresh tomatoes were great. The crust as you can see was thin, perfectly cooked and a great chew. We also want had a garlic bread twist. They look like cinnamon rolls and were out of sight wonderful. Warm, soft , garlic brushed butter it seemed. Once home we tried the Sicilian. Great crust, cooked perfect with great mouthfeel. The ingredients melded well . The whole order was $52 and well worth it. There were only the two of us but what we ordered could easily serve like 6 or more. We're from Indy and it was a bit of a drive but one well worth it. Highly recommend!

Google
Nice little pizzeria in a small town. The staff were really friendly. It has a small patio area for outside dining. The pizza was delicious and huge with plenty of toppings. The garlic roles were awesome. This is definitely a place I will come back to. Highly recommend.

Google
Let me tell you; it PAINS me to write this review. And if I lived with 15 miles of this place, I wouldn’t do it. I might even leave a bad review. I might advise you that you’d be better off staying far far away from this dirty little hole in the walk pizza joint in the middle of nowhere. I might do terrible things to keep your grubby little hands off my Perillos. But I’m not from the area. So I’ll be honest. Perillos is fantastic. My Long Island wife says it’s the best pizza she’s had in the Midwest. And I love it too. The people are nice, and their little spot is charming and clean. Hard to imagine a better pizza night anywhere (as long as you can snag one of the few tables in the cozy dining area). Please go to perillos so that there’s a perillos for me to go to when I’m in town. Cause it’s well worth my trip from Illinois.

This place is a hidden gem! Great pizza. The people here, employees, and patrons are very kind and helpful. I will go back.

Google
The food is excellent. The owners take pride in their restaurant. I have been continuously coming back to Perillos. Time and time again, they never fail to have the best food and atmosphere. Thank you Perillo’s Pizzeria!

Yelp
On Friday I happened to be driving through rural Indiana on the economic blackout day with a HANGRY, weepy 8 year old and nothing but Casey's gas stations and Dollar Generals to be found. No big corporations for us that day! We soldiered on. We got to the teeny town of North Salem and ended up finding a beautiful oasis. Perillo's Pizzaria. Like a mirage out of the soybean fields (if the mirage looked like a tiny, possibly abandoned building). I made by son try the door to be sure it was open. Inside, the place was adorable, a historic building with a previous life as the town doctor's office. Ambiance was great and the Pizza looked amazing but we got the garlic knots and dessert. The limoncello cake was fabulous! But the garlic knots - OH MY GOD THE KNOTS. Best I've ever eaten. Hands down. Ooey gooey, chewy heaven. Do not miss this gem of a place. Seriously! Go out of your way for this.

Yelp
2 years later and this place still holds up as one of my favorite pizzerias! Crispy, crunch crust and delicious toppings for the New York Style. Service is always great. The inside seating area is limited, but carry out and patio dining are always a good option!

Yelp
WOW! This place was AMAZING!! What an unexpected surprise when we stumbled in for lunch while passing through the small town of North Salem, located just a short 40 minute drive north west of Indianapolis. The building is small but very cozy and welcoming. The food is absolutely fresh and made to order so you may have to wait 20-30 minutes but it's well worth it! Perillo's makes all their sauces in house and you can definitely taste the difference. They sell pizza by the slice or a whole pie. The pasta can be ordered as a 1/2 portion which is what we opted for, and still took leftovers home!! We will be making Perillo's a regular stop on our walk rotation!! CASH ONLY!!!

Yelp
I have been wanting to go for years and just find reasons not to go that far west (only about 20 min)...this will likely become a place we go often. We both got a slice of pizza & a garlic rolls (with cheese and marinara - loved both). Holy cow, both were delicious and filling - $13 bucks for all that?! It's quaint and small but it packs flavor. Their outdoor area is very cute as well. Service was great and attentive. Love you can hear the work being done in the kitchen as well - it is a gem just like Yelp said!
google avatar

Yelp
This is the best Italian food in the Midwest. I said it. They have the best pasta and pizza. And their salads are my favorite but we come for the pizza. They also grow a lot of their veggies in their garden out back or at the owner's garden. Every time I'm there I meet someone who is also there to eat but they've crated this atmosphere of community and it's the best!

Yelp
My husband asked where I wanted to go for my birthday dinner. Love several restaurants but tonight, I needed a delicious salad from Perillo's. The staff convinced me to have a luscious piece of chocolate mouse pie! Love the restaurant and the staff are very special to me!

Yelp
This was my first visit to Perillo's Pizza in Clayton, Indiana. Thanks to Kara M. I learned about the cute little antique shop, tea room, and this pizzeria in Clayton. Perillo's has street parking and offers pasta dishes, salads, and pizza. The dining area has many 4-top tables for patrons. Kara M. and I ordered different pasta dishes, but both had a generous serving and delicious. I ended up taking more than half home with the amount of seafood and pasta on my plates. Our server was very friendly, kept our drinks full, and checked on us several times. To Go boxes were received quickly as well as our checks. I love the cozy atmosphere, how friendly all the employees were and the food was delicious. Perillo's would not be a destination restaurant for me, but if you're in the area, definitely stop by. The pizza looked delicious, but pasta is my go-to, and it did not disappoint. The prices are reasonable for the portion size, the quality of food is good and you'll be surprised how much you remember your meal days after. Cute little restaurant with super friendly employees.

Yelp
I don't want to tell you all this because the place is tiny and I want to keep it for myself! However, our party of five was able to go and try perillos and it instantly became "our" pizza place. I love how tiny the place is and the dining room just makes you feel cozy and relaxed. The service was excellent and fairly fast for being all fresh food. We tried the double crust pizza, the cheese pizza, garlic rolls and salads. We had chocolate mousse and lemincello flute for dessert. Not a single person had a complaint for any of it. It was all very good food that we enjoyed with soft drinks and beer. We were able to laugh and talk and just feel like we were in a good atmosphere instead of going to Indy and feeling that atmosphere. It was great and different and we loved it, I wish we had a million places like perillos and a lot less corporation dining options

Yelp
Great pizza. Reminds me of the pizza from Jersey. Reminds me of the little Mom and Pa restaurants out east

Yelp
Beautiful June evening to eat at perillo's. Called ahead to order and was told an hour wait for pizza. No problem. We live 22 minutes away. Relaxes at home then drove over. Arrived 10 minutes early and had a seat at a picnic table in the shade. Pizza was brought out by a delightful server. Can't say enough about this joint. Small menu so the food on it better be good. AND IT IS! Best New Your style pizza around. Seriously! Small town joint is awesome! One negative: cash or a check only. No cards. They remind you on the phone when you call ahead. I get it! They don't get taken for the 2% the credit card companies charge. Small business has to think about that. There is a bank machine less than a block away should you forget.

John L.

Yelp
Pizza is awesome. Taste great. We preferred the meat stuff double crusted pizza and garlic rolls. The garlic rolls were great. The pizza is ginormous. We had 4 more meals ( That's one piece for each of us for 4 meals). One piece is good for a meal. Staff is super friendly. Little drive but worth it

Yelp
This pizzeria located in a small town packs BIG hits. We drove from Indianapolis to visit this local gem. While the inside is small they have outdoor seating to accommodate for more seating. Atmosphere was great. Everyone working was friendly and quick with coming around to check and bring out the goods. Food was amazing. We started off with the garlic knots and homemade marinara sauce. So good! They weren't too over powering with garlic! We got a New York style pizza with pepperoni, mushroom and sausage. The slices were NY style indeed! HUGE. Flavor was amazing and the crust was the perfect consistency with crunch! Can't wait to return and try out their pasta dishes too! Don't sleep on this place - worth the the trip! Just remember - CASH ONLY

Yelp
Another great pie! We ordered a 4 piece Sicilian supreme. What a great pizza for two. Perillo's never disappoints! There are many great choices on the menu, but this was a perfect dinner tonight.

Yelp
First time we have visited in a long time. The pizza is very good as are the garlic knots. It is a very small place with about four indoor tables. There is outdoor seating but the disadvantage is the they're only functional seasonally. The small size of the restaurant leads to some longer waits. The staff is friendly and service is good. Be prepared for crowds because it is well known that the food is good. The do not take credit cards but do take cash or check. We had the New York style pizza. Very good with fresh ingredients and lots of cheese!

Jaye S.

Yelp
Been a handful of times, not one bad experience and had plenty of good pizza in my life but perillos by far has the best slice.

Lori B.

Yelp
Placed a carry out order. Service was good. Food was delicious. The portions were generous. Prices were reasonable. Definitely a place to revisit.

Yelp
A Jersey girl living in Indiana .. I was shocked.... This pizza is just amazing. I can't tell you how happy I was to finally find a place that has the same pizza I grew up with. I never would expect it to be in North Salem, but so very glad it is. I think I will have to make a trip this weekend. Just the best pizza.

Susann S.

Yelp
The food and staff are amazing. It's such a quaint little pizzeria with some of the best food you'll ever eat. Not just pizza, lots of yummy dishes. I highly recommend.

Yelp
If you're looking for something off the regular track come here. It's definitely off the normal grid. We drive 34 minutes to get pies. It can be hard to reach them on the phone at times but be patient. We added a sub last time and I loved it. Very small place so we always carry out. I'm telling you this is a jell of a place in a nice small town.

Yelp
This is a small little joint with big personality! Just off the main strip (I believe) in North Salem,IN. The people were all very friendly. This is a small establishment with seating inside for about 15-20 people. You can pretty much see right back into the kitchen which is fun in of it self. They have 2 outside seating areas, o e o. Each side of the building. The o e to the left of the building is a typical outside seating area with metal chairs and tables with um b rellas bit has an Italian vibe going on with some old school music playing(Sinatra, The Rat Pack, Dean Martin, ect.) On the right side of the building ther are a bunch of picnic tables and a freestanding fireplace which definitely looked to be the reminisce of an old house. The pizza was very good and just how I likes it, thin and crsipy. They had a pretty wide array of Italian dishes and pizza pies. I got one slice of NY Sgle and added some topping. It came out hot and delicious! The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because they only take cash or check. I had to walk around the corner to the bank to get some cash.. so make sure to bring cash.
google avatar

Christi S.

Yelp
What a great small town find! Cash only- and it is very small inside with only a handful of tables. The folks working were so nice. Pizza was great- greedy, chewy crust. It had a good amount toppings and sauce. Will stop by again!

Yelp
Authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy little spot in North Salem. Be sure to say Ciao to Damiano and don't forget your cash, no CC's accepted.

Yelp
Great pizza and pasta!! Best in indiana for sure!! The garlic rolls are so good. Awesome service as well.

Yelp
I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! Perillo's NEVER disappoints! From the moment you open the door to place your order you are greeted with the most wonderful smells that make you feel like you have walked into a pizzeria in Italy. They close at 6pm on Sunday and since it was Father's Day we went around 3:30pm to hopefully grab a table without having to wait. I tried the pepperoni breadsticks for the first time and they were delicious with the marinara! Plus I appreciate that the server told us we could split our order of 6 into 4 plain and 2 pepperoni. This was one trip we didn't get a slice of pizza as an appetizer so we wouldn't get too full before our pasta meals were served. Their pizza is amazing! They have NY style or Sicilian deep dish or stuffed pizzas with double crust. I didn't take a picture of the lasagna my husband always orders but it's the bomb! Too stuffed for dessert this time, maybe next time! Remember to have cash! They don't take credit or debit cards! It's worth the trip however near or far you live by North Salem! And if you do have to wait for a table, it's totally worth it! The portions are so big there's usually leftovers to enjoy the next day!

Yelp
1 ST time customer. No indoor dining due to Covid. Lady greeted us and we explained first visit. She provided us a paper menu to keep. She took order. Cash only and just by luck we were able to come up with cash and small tip for her. She delivered food to are car. Many people had ordered ahead and picked up food while we waited. She delivered food to are car. On arrival back home in Lebanon food was still hot and ready to eat. Large portions cooked to order. Everything was tasty and staff was pleasant and friendly. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Yelp
Top of the line service the pizza is great the prices are perfect I highly recommend this place I would give them 10 stars

Yelp
I visited Perillo's for the first time recently and had a great experience. We had a $2 off coupon from a Brownsburg sports team coupon book, so we made the trek to North Salem. It was definitely worth it! My wife and I each ordered calzones and garlic rolls. Both were excellent. The calzones were massive, and we both had enough left over for another meal. The service was good throughout the evening, and the price was unbeatable. We're excited to come back and try the outdoor patio this spring.
google avatar

Kendell A.

Yelp
We absolutely love Perillos Pizzeria. This is a small town pizza shop right off the main strip in North Salem. The pizza is delicious and the prices are amazing. It is cash on so make sure you come prepare. The inside seating can be a bit tight if there are a lot of people, but I personally prefer eating on the patio here anyways. The calzones are incredibly filling and can easily feed two people. The appetizers here are some of my favorites as well. They just have good food here. Can't really go wrong no matter what you order.
google avatar

Trevor F.

Yelp
I'm thankful to have a great local pizza shop here in North Salem. What is even better is the variety of selection. I have never tried egg plant on pizza and tonight I changed that. It reminded me of extra juicy mushrooms. The flavor is different sure, but that is the best comparison I have. I would be interested in mixing it with other toppings too and Perillo's would be just the place for it.
google avatar

Jared B.

Yelp
Amazing place! Flavorful fun in every bite. My wife loves the Gluten Free pizza! My son digs the Meaty Pizza slice! Their salads are tasty and sizeable. My favorite is their deluxe pizza! Delicious crust and fresh toppings, perfectly cooked. Prices are very reasonable. Great service and atmosphere. A+ all the way!

Lori H.

Yelp
Very good food. Very small facility. I hope at some point they can either build on or add to their outdoor area with some kind of year round room.
google avatar

Seth R.

Yelp
I'll be honest, if you live out on the far west side of Indy it's basically impossible to find a place that offers any gluten-free food. Thankfully Perillo's has you covered! My wife and I tried two kinds of pasta, each of them were gluten free and tasted great! Other perks are the great outdoor seating and laid back style. Just make sure you go before your starving because you can wait a while to eat.

Desiree B.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! We probably eat here once if not twice a week. You won't find better NY style pizza
google avatar

Angie K.

Yelp
It's in the middle of a little town and I feel you would probably miss it if you didn't have gps. It was good pizza. We sat outside under some trees and umbrellas and had an nice time. We got the NY style 18" for 13.99, that is a freaking deal! I love the crust, thin like any style and crispy. Wonderful stuff.
google avatar

Erin B.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. According to Swarm, I hadn't been here since 2012 (yes my other review says later, but I transferred if over from Urbanspoon when I joined Yelp, may the Spoon rest in peace). How could I wait so long? I follow Perillo's on Facebook. They are constantly posting appetizing stuff. I just got a wild hair up my tookus, and we made the almost 40 mile journey there. When we arrived, I had forgotten just how small this place was. There was a wait to get in on a Sunday night. Luckily, since there was just two of us, we didn't have to wait very long. My husband and I both ordered a variation of a calzone. His was the traditional filled with his choice of 5 ingredients. Mine was the spinach roll, which I added mushrooms to. It also had ricotta cheese in it. We waited a while for our food. The kitchen was hopping though. It wasn't as though they were standing around doing nothing. Those guys were taking food seriously. When we finally got our food, it was worth the wait! My spinach roll was one of the best things I've ever eaten. With that delicious ricotta cheese. Oh my goodness! The crust was cooked perfectly. The delicious marinara sauce it was served with was almost certainly homemade. Wow. I once again finished my meal with that famous Lemoncello cake. So much creamy lemon flavor. You are doing yourself an injustice if you don't get a slice. The only thing that could have used some work here that night was the service. There was only two? servers working the entire room, and they just were run ragged. It's a small room, but there were some big groups demanding their attention. Other than that, this was a perfect meal.

Lisa H.

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere. Good food . Great service. Be prepared to wait some. Worth it though! O

Yelp
Best pizza in the state. Don't sleep on garlic rolls either. Worth the drive from anywhere in state. Pizzas are huge.... all fresh ingredients.
google avatar

Chad T.

Yelp
Go figure the three or four sub par ratings would all be from haggard busybody hags with entitlement complexes. I'm looking at your review specifically Kensi A. Do you really expect a non delivery location to drive 20 minutes away to bring your family out food your mom either didn't order OR didn't double check to make sure everything was in the bag before she left? Entitlement. Food : That rant out of the way this is easily the best grub in general in Hendricks County and I'd put their pizza up against anyone else in the state. Huge portions, fair priced, amazing calzones, great pasta and their garlic knots are insane! As far as speed goes this is NOT your usual date night low tier dining feeding troughs like Olive Garden or Red Lobster where you order and get your heat lamp cuisine/ overpriced Microwave dinner within five minutes of ordering. This is real cooking, by a real chef, made to order. You will probably wait fifteen to twenty minutes for your food on a busy night, but the food is well worth the extra ten minutes you might have to wait extra vs the aforementioned spots. Now if you only care about speed and price you might as well stop reading. They also have a nice wine selection and a surprisingly diverse craft beer section for being so far away from Indianapolis. Most places out in the country consider something like Yuengling or Corona "fancy beer" so Perillo's goes the extra mile to not fall into that "small town country restaurant" stereotype and offers it's customers tons of great choices for younger folks and the beers snobs who aren't happy with just Bud, MGD, and High life as their only choices.. Ambience : The restaurant is beautiful and I know these guys put their blood sweat and tears in it and it makes me super happy to see how well it's done. I remember touring it when it was just a gutted out old building wondering what these guys were thinking and to see it now is amazing. The patio especially is impressive and showcases the incredible ambience and small town charm of downtown North Salem. Good job on the patio especially Bob! Perfect for summer and fall nights with friends when you want to eat, drink, and be merry! Service : The service and people there are the best. Family owned which is HUGE and rare nowadays. These people are all just good people through and through. They're just a thoughtful, hard working, loving, and caring family. Loved and respected by pretty much everyone that knows them. Their wonderful staff hasn't changed much at all in 7 years either. Even the "non family" employees seem incredibly loyal to the restaurant, which can only mean one thing... They are compensated well and treated with love and respect. That means a lot to me, and it should mean a lot to you too. Support your local businesses, especially the ones that takes care of their employees am customers alike. Good people, good food, fair prices, and a nice clean restaurant. You can't really ask for more!

Yelp
Quality ingredients are the key to delicious Italian dishes from this small town pizzeria. Our friends invited us to join them in North Salem for a chance to experience one of their favorite local spots. They had tried several food items before and raved about the quality, so we said "Yes!" After parking across the street, we went into this small cottage sized building and let them know we were going to take a table on the patio. Soon, our waitress joined us with place settings and menus. After our round of drinks, we were able to place our orders for a variety of entrees. (They do have beer and wine available. Not an extensive list, but a decent selection.) I ordered the Stromboli Calzone - sausage, ham, pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, & onion with a side of house marinara. Great cheese and meat flavors. The cheese was plentiful with a warm sponginess, but without the stringy quality. Nice size at a very reasonable price. The ingredients tend to congregate in the middle of the baked pocket, but there was plenty of flavor in the dough and cheese at the edges. My wife ordered the special of the night: Fetuccini with spinach and sun dried tomatoes. Again, huge portions were served. She thought the fettuccini had a nice flavor and the noodles were cooked just right. Our friends ordered the Pesto Chicken (in marsala wine and mushroom sauce) and the meat ravioli (which had an odd look to it, but tasted fine.) Their entrees came with a side salad and a garlic roll which are definitely worth trying. To top off the evening, my wife and I split the Strawberry Caramel Gelato dessert. I really liked the flavor combo. I could have eaten the whole thing. Overall, the dining experience was enjoyable. The service dropped off a little toward the end as the place became fuller. So, my wife simply took our payment inside and found the waitress so that we could get on our way. If you are in the area, it is worth stopping in to sample some of the wonderful dishes they serve at Perillo's. p.s. Just be sure to bring plenty of cash since they don't take charge cards. Yelp
This place is my go-to for awesome pizza. Their whole pizzas come in one size and they are huge! If I'm only feeding a few people I order by the slice. Their slices of cheese pizza are very inexpensive. Their chef salad with homemade Italian dressing are excellent. There are only a free things that are a bit of a bummer for this place. First, they're closed on Tuesday's. Second, they only accept cash. Thankfully there's a bank right down the road with a 24-ATM so that works out really well. All in all, if you're looking for authentic, superb Italian cuisine, this place is the perfect small town experience.

B J.

Yelp
Had a new york style and Sicilian pizza. Wanted to try both styles. Both outstanding. 8.1 out of 10. Crispy crust on Sicilian. Well cooked. Good balance of cheese and sauce. Little greasy on new york. Only takes check/cash...business should consider Credit Cards. Pizza ready on time and warm in box. Best pizza west side Indy! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place is classic status and it's worth making the time to get out there. Cash only, so if it's real important to you that MasterCard makes money today you can stay home. The pizza and the calzones are top notch. We've never had a bad experience.

Yelp
We preordered pizza, picked it up and it was burnt on the bottom. Come on people. They offered to make us another one and gave us half off.

Yelp
Walking into Perillo's Pizzeria felt like I was walking into a little heaven on earth! I've been wanting to go to Perillo's for a long time now since I stumbled upon them originally on Yelp, but I couldn't justify traveling the 55+minutes of drive time just to get a pizza. Thankfully, I had the chance to dine at Perillo's for the first time yesterday after antiquing out of town and realizing I was only 30 minutes away! If someone had asked me about a good business model, I wouldn't have said "Yeah, go start a pizza place in the middle of nowhere with a town population of 500" but whatever Perillo's is doing, it's definitely working! I could rant all day about the dim lighting, the cozy wood tables and benches and the smell of pizza wafting through this place, but it wouldn't do Perillo's justice . Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and very well trained, I opted for the special of the night which was a $2 beer called "Redbridge Gluten Free Sorghum Beer". We ordered the cheese garlic rolls and got cozy waiting for our food! We ordered the pizza which only comes in one size, and it was delicious! I had a more traditional half with sausage, pepperoni and mushroom. I was impressed when the waitress asked if I wanted fresh or canned mushrooms. Love the fresh options that Perillo's' provides! The Limoncello cake was the perfect way to end a great day! I actually asked about purchasing a whole cake which was $35 dollars but has about 12 servings. Overall, I can't wait to go back to Perillo's, trust me, it's worth the drive!!

Yelp
This place is a pretty great little pizzeria. Luckily it was a warm January day was waiting outside was not bad. The inside is very small and a Saturday night was pretty busy. There is probably only 10 tables tops inside. We had to wait maybe 45 minutes. We did grab 2 beers to drink while we were waiting. Once we were seated we were taken care of immediately (just try not to look at the impatient people that stare at you waiting for a table). We ordered a pepperoni pizza, breadsticks, 2 side salads an a make your own calzone. In the calzone I got ricotta, sun dried tomatoes, kalamata olives, spinach. For as busy as they were w carry out and inside I think we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. The food was fresh and that is what I loved. Normally calzones are dry and you need the sauce not this one. I didn't even use the sauce. My kids loved the pizza and it was huge. We will probably come back when they have outdoor seating. We drove from Brownsburg just for somewhere new.

Yelp
I never went to North Salem on purpose. Until now. Holy cow, this place is amazing! I swear, it's like stepping into a NYC hole in the wall pizza joint in a small town in Indiana. I love everything about this place. The food, the location, the atmosphere, the servers, the decor. Seriously, I felt like I was transported to another world...and I loved every minute of it. The house salad was fantastic, no bagged salad here! Nice sized serving, dressing was fantastic. I had a sausage calzone, and it was tasty and hearty. REAL sausage, with a nice kick to it, but short of overpowering. Just the right combination of spice and taste--not an easy balance to find! Love it. Looks like we're gonna be spending more time in North Salem.
