Periwinkle Cafe

Very nice, quaint cafe! Went here on a Fall afternoon to grab some pumpkin pancakes and coffee! Service was great, and Lindsie was a very warm hearted person!

Awesome waitress Lindsie. Several Portuguese and gluten free items on the menu. Your plate will genuinely be full at this small locally owned cafe. In the plaza on rte 125 near the bowling alley.

DO NOT ORDER CURBSIDE!! You will show up when they tell you to, call the store and the call won’t be answered. So you’ll go inside and say “I’m here to pick up an order” and some wretched leather face will screech at you “it’s going to be AT LEAST another 15 minutes” with a scoff and an eye roll. Then, when you go wait for fifteen minutes in your car because you’ve clearly pissed them off and it’s too hostile to wait inside - then when you go back inside, your cold food will be waiting?? Also, gross chunks of dog food like meat from, what I can only guess was from a can, is what they consider steak tips. Home fries are literally room temperature. I had to wait extra time for my food to cool off, I guess. Also, a cat threw up on my biscuits and gravy. I don’t mind waiting but the entire failure and breakdown of communication for a first time customer is vile.

This place is our new go-to. The food was amazing. The service is impeccable. I got the Portuguese French toast and it was absolutely delicious. My kids actually finished their breakfast for once and said they can't wait to come back. I highly highly recommend Periwinkle Cafe!

I took my daughter out for breakfast today to a cute little hidden gem called The Periwinkle cafe What a delicious meal! Everything was cooked perfectly, well seasoned with very generous portions. I’ll list our orders below: - Periwinkle special: Two eggs (any style), choice of 3 meats, home Fries or baked beans, choice of toast & 1 pancake or one slice of French toast I got my eggs over easy, grilled English muffin, home fries, a pancake, double bacon and grilled Portuguese chourico. Everything was very tasty! Loved how crispy/crunchy both the English muffin and bacon were. But the standouts were definitely the chourico and the home fries. Both were fantastic.. great flavor and the home fries are cooked with caramelized onions (which I love!) -Smoked Salmon Benedict :English muffin topped with two poached eggs, smoked salmon & hollandaise sauce (comes with home fries, beans or fresh fruit on the side) . My daughter said this was amazingly delicious! Perfectly poached eggs, creamy buttery hollandaise, grilled English muffins, salmon was tender with a nice Smokey flavor.. paired beautifully with the rest of the dish. The decor is nautical themed.. there are a bunch of little tables and a long bench (with pillows) along the front wall. Cute, clean and cozy.. little hand written signs throughout, with one listing their muffins of the day. (I believe todays offerings were corn, blueberry and chocolate chip). Waitress was super friendly and attentive. I have to make a special mention of the prices.. it is such a good deal! Everything we got (including coffee) it all only came to 25 dollars total (that’s with tax too!).. given the portion sizes and quality of food, that’s an insane bargain. I can’t recommend this place enough. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Food was o.k. but not for the service or price. Ordered take out, corned beef hash omelet, no cheese. Had cheese in it even though specifically requested without. Homefries are advertised with caramelized onions on website. They not only weren't caramelized, they weren't even cooked (still crunchy). The pancakes are mini-sized yet priced same as most restaurants where they are literally as big as the plate. Most of this wouldn't have bothered me too much except the fact they are on the high end of pricing in my opinion.

The sign on the wall says sit where you want, stay as long as you like. That's what's up! The waitresses are very friendly. I had french toast. It was the bomb! Hot chocolate with whipped cream

Such a great breakfast spot! Food was excellent, portions were perfect and the price is reasonable. Atmosphere was clean, positive and the staff were extremely nice! This is the type of "mom & pop" breakfast place that I love to support. Highly recommend!

We came here once last year, as vacationers from south Texas, and loved it so much that I downloaded and made a Yelp account just to leave a good review! And since we're back in the area, we HAD to stop by again! Just as great service and food and coffee as last time!!

Excellent in all food, service, cute ambiance. Love the cushion bench by window. Homey atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating service. Good portions for the $$. Coffee good. Gluten free waffles-delicious, can't tell the difference. Closed Monday and Tuesday (their weekend I guess. They deserve a break from Wed-Sunday

Great Food if they decide to stay open! We love the staff & the food but the restaurants inconsistencies with operating hours are problematic. 3 times now we have come to have a brunch an hour to an hour and a half before they close and they are closed. Nothing on the website about closing early either. Operating hours are operating hours and they need to be adhered to or you'll lose customers. Sad because we really liked it here.

My fiancé and I got food here yesterday. Absolutely disgusting. The waitress said the kitchen was backed up which was fine until our food came out and it was cold. What I assume was the owner was loudly fighting with one of the waitresses in front of the entire cafe. Tap water is served in dirty mason jars. If you want the worst breakfast of your life then this is your spot. First and last time here.

When for breakfast and had a steak omelet. The food was really good. The service was good. The ambiance was relaxing.

5* rate comparing to many other brunch places around the area. Please don't judge based on downtown restaurants rating standards ;) I have been here many times. Every time I visited, I got sat and served fast. The prices are fair and the food portion is very large. At least for me, I couldn't finish the Periwinkle special every time I ordered. The Periwinkle special is only around $12.50. It contains toasts, a pancake, 3 choices of meat, 2 fried eggs and even beans/baked potatoes.

Periwinkle special was amazing and Julie's service was spectacular. Coffee was pretty good too (iced). Home fries were very flavorful

I Got take out today Sunday February 4 2024.Blueberry pancakes and home Fries and sausage and it was Delicious they used fresh Blueberry well I would Highly recommend this place for Food and Value my New Go to Breakfast spot In Bradford

Great food! Exceptional service ! Bang for your buck. Pumpkin Pancakes are outstanding!

Took my brother here when he was visiting from Texas based on other reviews. We were sat immediately, our drink order taken, and then... nothing! The waitress paid particular attention to a specific table next to us that I'm assuming was someone she knew, passed by us several times (not hard to do in a place this tiny), looked directly at us, rudely said "be right with you" and we just continued to wait. After sitting there for over 15 minutes with nothing but coffee and an apple juice, we put $5 on the table and walked out. Two stars and $5 is probably more than they deserve.

Kyra is very responsive to emails and so easy to work with for catering for a bridal shower. We had the breakfast sampler with additional French toast, melon wrapped in prosciutto, Cobb salad, and the beautiful cheese board. The food was so delicious, everyone loved it! Kyra and Tony were so professional, came in, set up quickly, gave me a few instructions on the chafing dishes and then they set up time to pick up all dishes. The food came hot and ready to serve. I can't thank them enough for making the day have such great food! Thank you! MaryJane

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is phenomenal and always great service! So happy to have Periwinkle right around the corner!

We went for breakfast. The food was delicious. I had french toast & eggs w/ kielbasa on the side. I was excited to see that they serve kielbasa as a side dish. Love that! The setup is nice too. Cozy little nook. They have this cute bench seating all across the storefront window. The waitress was attentive & kind.

Man what a disappointment for a breakfast sandwich. Ordered one with Hash as a meat. Was told there'd be an upcharge. No problem! Turns out the upcharge ended up being more than ordering a full side plus sandwich, and the amount of hash was pitiful. Very nice staff though! Their pancakes and french toast looked good. I'll give them another try and update.. Edit: Owner took care of the issue. Greatly appreciated and will definitely give them another try. They also had a good selection of hot sauces.

My new favorite breakfast place. Great service. Super friendly. Great food. Like your grandma is cooking for you. Real home cooking with care and pride.

This place was just what i needed after a long Friday night, great breakfast! The food was delicious, I could barely decide everything looked amazing on the menu. Its also a cute space, attentive service, and the prices perfect. I will definitely be visiting again.

Had my usual Friday breakfast, delicious as usual. Kind staff and owner. I even use Periwinkles to cater my 35th anniversary party and the food was incredible, none left over. The veggie basket was done beautifully. Definitely will use them again. Highly recommend them.

Recently moved across the street & decided to try this place for some breakfast on a Sunday. This place is so cute and very spaced out so you feel comfortable. Food was delicious & service was just as good. Leslie (I think it's her name) was absolutely wonderful and super accommodating especially given she was the only one tending tables and the takeout.. 10/10 will be back

They are always/normally really good which the workers were today and always are and they have good service!!! Today's reasons why I give them 2 stars was because of the way my food tasted. I ordered the stuffed French Toast, normally you don't make it into a sandwich form and normally you put other stuff on it like fruit and whipped cream!! Today, they made the following mistakes which I was not happy about: It was in the form of a French Toast sandwich They only used Sausage Links and American Cheese stuffed inside which isn't normal Where was the whipped cream? Where was the fruit? Home Fries tasted terrible!!! Come on Tony this was not like you!!! I won't be coming back because I lost my appetite after my order!!!

I'm not sure if it was just an off day, or the beginning of a decline. My wife and I love this place, but it appears food and presentation are slipping. I ordered eggs,toast,bacon, and fruit. The toast was a little too toasted for me, and the bacon was like shoe leather, and the fruit didn't appear to be fresh. On a positive note the eggs are still amazing.

Tried this place for the first time today and unfortunately I won't go back. Waited far too long for breakfast food. In fact, I noticed many people waiting for a long time and some left as a result. Ended up going to another place after wasting part of my day here and met up with another couple who said when they tried it their food was ice cold. The least they could have done was provide an update on when our order would be coming or at least an apology but we received neither...

This place just recently opened up near me. My boyfriend and I were looking for a breakfast spot and popped in. first off, the customer service was amazing and the waitresses were so polite. The place itself is so cute and welcoming. Then we ordered and our food came... it was DELICIOUS! the menu has so many options and variety for different food. Will come back

We stopped here on a road trip and had a western omelette and a strawberry waffle. Both were great and the place is clean and cute. Our server, Lindsie, was a total gem and deserves a promotion. 100% recommend for a quiet breakfast or lunch.

Small hole in the wall place but wow the food is delicious! Not too crowded so we didn't have to wait to get a table and the food came quick. We got a steak bomb omelet and chocolate chip pancakes and they were both amazing! 10/10 would go back!

Omelets and Toast burnt, Waffles and Pancakes were bland and were advertised that they were full of fruit but had none inside...My one was request was that they DONT put butter on my toast and that was ignored. Not to mention the absurd amount of time it took for us to get our food and pay at the end. Overall one of the worse experiences I've had at a breakfast joint and I go ALOT...

Happy St Patrick's Day! Just picked up a delicious breakfast-Bangers & corned beef, potato patties, 2 eggs & grilled soda bread. So great! We will be back for sure! Thanks for weathering this virus-we support you, you should too!
