Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. Favorites were the chicken and waffle sandwich, the brunch burger and the smash burger. Huge portions. Regular and sweet potato fries were both fresh and so delicious. We live in Charleston and will drive here again just for the food. Service was super friendly and prompt as well. Overall a great experience! Highly recommend!

You can't go wrong with anything you order here. It's all delicious, and the people who work here are so nice! My husband and I came back every day while we stayed in the area because the food was that good. I also love their ready-made food, like their incredible key lime pie. Come here and bring your friends!

Great for Breakfast or Lunch. Creative menu. Helpful staff. They have the best chicken biscuit I have ever eaten. Lots of options for ready made meals to take back to the house on the beach. Don’t forget dessert.

Food was amazing. Hands down the best meal that we ate while visiting Seabrook Island. The staff was amazing as well. Will definitely return on our next visit.

My sister and I were on our way to Seabrook Island and decided to stop for lunch at the Periwinkle Kitchen based on the recommendation of my husband. It’s a quaint little cafe tucked away on the main road. The decor was ocean themed and tasteful. The service was wonderful, the food delicious, and the portions appropriate. Afterwords, my sister and I decided to share one of their homemade dessert to take with us. We got to the car and decided it looked too good not to at least try it. Less than 10 minutes later, we had devoured it. It was too good to stop eating. Fabulous experience all around.

We really enjoyed a dinner here, the food is very filling and the staff is super friendly. The burger is cheesy and aioli goes very well with it. We split a fall harvest salad which was very tasty as their made in house dressing complemented it very well. Soup was good too. Nice place

We stopped here for brunch on our way to Kiawah, and it was excellent. The food was delicious and our drinks were all great. The service was really good too!

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We called ahead for take out and our order was ready right on time. The entire restaurant is clean and well organized. The chicken dinner for two was the perfect size and absolutely delicious. We thought the garlic bread was a great addition as well, but the dessert really hit it out of the park. Each strawberry cobbler is enough for two people to have a large serving. We’ll definitely be back!

A locally owned business ( and we all seek to support our local businesses)-- the cafe offers healthy, clean and fresh dining options. High quality and locally grown produce are incorporated into every dish. A fabulous stop on your way in or out of the islands and Beachwalker Park. Dine in or take out. Catering is available also. Hours are: Monday- Saturday 7:30am-3:00pm - Sunday 8:30am- 2:00pm. Friendly staff and owners and they strive to please!

We have had lunch three times. The first time the Mediterranean bowl was outstanding according to my wife. The chicken tenders were good and the adult manager on duty was friendly. The last two times, lunch has been mediocre, expensive, and the young untrained staff not very attentive or friendly. After our second visit and bad experience, I sent a private email with feedback to help owners improve the food. No response. We tried again and ordered the Super Healthy Bowl, a total disappointment. 1/2 the size of the very first bowl last year, not substantial, not well conceived, and at $20 with chicken it was very overpriced. The chicken sandwich I ordered was dry and lacking in dressing. The third time the salad was worse. Not returning here. The cooking staff looked inexperienced and is always changing. This restaurant needs to execute better by simplifying its menu choices. And getting back to the basics of making good food, not cutting corners serving Pillsbury blueberry muffins and reducing portion sizes.

As visitors to the area, we were pleased to find a comfortable, clean, informal family-run place for a couple of meals (breakfast and lunch). The food was fresh and individually prepared. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Their pancakes were the best I've had in quite a while.

It did not look too good because by the time I got it home it had ripped over in the to-go container and was sort of mushed on the side wall- beige chicken peanut rice noodle mush- so no photogenic moment. BUT the Pad Thai Chicken was absolutely DELICIOUS. Next time I will order ahead and maybe eat in the restaurant to I don't risk the mushy presentation. I waited for 25 min for my order and they gave me a free cookie for my trouble- some kind of salted dark chocolate chip yumminess.

The bacon date panini is 10/10. Walked in 5 minutes before closing and they were so nice :) Very cute on the inside as well !

No, no! Don't change a thing! The lasagna had the perfect amount of cheese - noticeably generous, but not grotesque. The sauce was so vibrant, tasty and fresh! And my family was satisfied for both dinner AND lunch the next day! The quinoa salad was bursting with flavor and a beautiful bouquet of light and fresh vegetables. Somehow it didn't even seem like drudgery to be eating so clean! Scrumptious! And, talk about the delicious house-made Greek yogurt parfait with equally delicious fruit compote. Of course, it was made in-house too, and topped with gluten free granola! I'm not even kidding! Clearly I wiped out the inventory when I raided their take-away cooler. (So, good luck with that!) But seriously, I know where I'll be going for my next fresh meal when I don't feel like cooking or eating fast food. In fact, I might just stop cooking altogether, cause, why bother? Two really big thumbs up for Periwinkle Kitchen! Can't wait to check out their coffee bar next! Hmm...I am off work tomorrow after all...

Cute spot! Have only tried the smoothies and they're great. But something to be aware of is the smoothie bar closes @ 1:30. It's not advertised and I've been a couple times in the afternoon and haven't been able to order smoothies. Would love them to extend their hours.

The food is by far, the best in the area! All locally sourced and beyond flavorful in every single bite. We had 4 different dishes and all of them were easily at the very top of their respectable categories. Burrata, smash burger, new flatbreads, and the Nashville chicken sandwich! Run, don't walk... we'll be back tomorrow for breakfast! Maybe we'll remember to take pics for those dishes since none of us could stop after our first bites! The owners are also super friendly and accommodating.

Great place. Inside is lovely. Staff is smiling and friendly. Food was good. Great place to stop after going to the beach.

The food is decent but the service is super slow. We went there two times on different days. We waited about 40 minutes for two breakfast sandwiches and even longer for lunch. It was not busy. Everyone was waiting. Breakfast sandwiches were literally a biscuit, an egg over easy, piece of cheese and some bacon. Nothing fancy or gourmet. Other places get something like this out in 5 minutes. The price $$ is not aligned and I'm not a cheapskate. Both orders on different days were wrong and we had to go back... and wait to make the missing items. Staff seems close and social and were friendly. I'm not trying to be harsh here, but if the same focus was placed on quality assurance of orders and speed, and if they bring the price down just a little based upon food quality, they could really crush it.

We reserved the side room for a birthday lunch for 10 of us, and couldn't have been happier with the food and drinks, presentation and quality! We already loved this place for breakfast and more great memories there now!

Love everything about this place. Great food, great location and great staff. Went with three other people--all ordered different items and we were all very happy with our choices. Pancakes and eggs were delicious. You could tell they were farm eggs because the yolks were a nice orange color. We will definitely be back!

PK is the perfect spot for Sunday breakfast v because you can pick up one or two of their family style meals for that weeks meal prep too! This salmon frittata was so fresh and delicious I took a take home version and had it for breakfast all week. The beef stroganoff was a hit for me and my husband, the only problem we had was choosing from all the yummy looking options. Will be back again this weekend for breakfast and to stock up for the week on meals and fresh pressed juice!

Stopped at Periwinkle earlier this week for dinner. Came back again for breakfast. It is a must stop place to visit while in the Kiawah/Johns Island area. Cute dining room. Super nice staff and owner. Many options and specialties that are different than the standard food offered around the rest of the area. Also have great coffee, fresh made juices, and dessert options with a lot of grab and go items to take and bake at home for a later meal.

Exactly what we needed off Kiawah and Seabrook! Although we will always miss Kinfolk fried chicken sandwiches. We have stopped in several times from breakfast to grabbing a to-go dinner. So excited to try more of the Thai dishes. The papaya salad with shrimp was fantastic! The owners John and Kim are welcoming, friendly and so accommodating. Support local and stop by you won't be disappointed!

The best thing ever I had this flat bread and I was the first to try it! LET ME TELL YOU it was amazing the service was to good she was amazing and this guy Jack I think his name was, HE WAS GREAT!!!! The service was great food great! DON'T WALK TO THIS PLACE RUN

Highly recommend Periwinkle K&CC! Go HUNGRY... the grits are so good and large portions. The shrimp and grits are AMAZING they should bottle and sell that sauce. Kim and her staff are THE BEST, especially if you are visiting and ask for recommendations of things to see and do. My friends and I loved everything about this place... we visited more than once and strongly recommend.

This place is amazing! Definitely a staple for John's Island. It's the best place for consistently good food, with amazing staff and local coffee/fresh pressed juices. The best part about it is, the ingredients are locally sourced.

Chicken pimento cheese biscuit was amazing Staff was so friendly We had a great meal. We will definitely be back.

our first visit I had shrimp and grits at 22.95 which is fine if it's good. The shrimp were not fresh you could smell them from the kitchen being prepared very fishy taste could not finish the tea was like water not sweet tea you pay before u eat ! my husband had the smash burger said the onions tasted like they were cooked in wine maybe but enjoyed it 20 bucks the 2 young girls working did greet us very soft spokenly and oddly enuff the owner was sitting right next to us never addressed us or said hello him and another girl were all spread out at one of the tables on there laptops discussing business in front of customers even talking a a termination imfromt of us very unprofessional The store is charming and seemed clean no sign for restroom and only one for both men and women cute decor but outside needs a lot of tic they have tables outside but it looks junky old metal and empty pots piled up If the owners really love here they should spruce up a bit and a customer shouldn't know the powers out at your house !! not impressed won't b back

Wonderful service that matched the equally yummy food! We stopped for lunch on our way into Kiawah and everything we had was delicious. Clean and cute as well!

This is mine and my husband's first time visiting Kiawah. While looking for a quick but nice lunch we happened upon Periwinkle Kitchen. Very clean and pleasant with excellent food that you can tell someone takes pride in serving. My husband's burger and my chicken sandwich were both delicious and the fries were piping hot and crispy. The chicken on the sandwich was pounded which gave a uniform bite for the entire sandwich. It also had a great crunch. The two younger staff at the counter were friendly and helped us figure out the menu. I hope to visit again to try breakfast or one of their dinner meals. This is a place that pays attention to detail.

Food was all stale / old tasting, the chicken parmasean was NOT fresh. Subpar and not worth the trip.

Coffee and biscuit were pretty good, but the avocado toast was kind of a rip off in my opinion

Friendly staff, quick service, and tasty food. I have only been for breakfast but this is a welcome addition to the area.

We've been here a few times. First, everything is made fresh daily from quality ingredients. You can just tell. The grilled cheese and tomato soup is really delicious. Sounds so basic but it's really not - the smoky flavor is so smooth and sweet. The chicken club is delicious and the breakfast sandwich on sourdough bread is excellent. Smash burger is very good and very hearty- two big patties. I'm happy to have this option so close to Kiawah Island. Great high quality food and super friendly service. I highly recommend you check it out for yourself. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Great experience! Absolutely loved the pecan crusted chicken. The owner is so kind and was sweet to my son making sure he left with a full belly. Appreciate the conversation and overall great experience. We will be back!

Visited a few times. Each time the woman at the counter was busy talking to friends so I've had to wait a while to order. The prices are very high yet the quality seems to be getting worse. Sticky tables.

Our family of 12 had a fantastic experience here for lunch today. The owner graciously rearranged tables so we could all sit together and checked in on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Everyone's meal was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

We had lunch there yesterday we had the smash burger, California Club sandwich, amazing grilled cheese and tomato soup on sourdough bread white creamy American cheese with caramelized onions. What a GREAT Place will be back

Wonderful addition to Johns Island with a very friendly staff. Previous reviews are BS because the owner is very inviting and makes you feel at home while trying to get to know you while your dining. They have a great wine and beer selection and the food was amazing will be back.

Heard about this place from family members, who really like it. We ordered the roasted pork marsala, with blueberry crisp for dessert. The pork was tender and flavorful, with a really delicious marsala cream sauce, and the service size was more than enough for two people. I can rarely find a good blueberry crisp, but this one was a real treat, very tasty. Aside from the food, the place has a nice laid-back ambiance. We met the owners, who were friendly and welcoming. We wish them the best!

Quickly becoming the new island favorite! The pork Marsala was fantastic, and fast! Who doesn't love hot fast service? My wife adored her roasted potatoes. They were so crisp and seasoned perfectly. We finished our meals with a farm fresh blueberry crisp. Someone in that kitchen knows what they're doing with the sweets. As we were headed out the owners, who we met previously in the night welcomed us back with family and friends anytime. 10/10 but 5 stars will do! Thanks Kim and John! Can't wait to return.

Food is good I think, but had clearly been sitting for a while. Waited 45 minutes for simple sandwiches. Clueless service - went in to ask about order, had to wait several minutes for employee to finish a conversation to which she then apologized that there "was a lot going on." She must have thought I was blind or stupid, as I had been standing there watching her talk. Other employee was very very nice, but new. Finally went to check on order, food had been sitting on counter for who knows how long, clearly had not been checking. Hopefully just a bad day for all involved, open to trying again, but a pretty embarrassing operation overall. Very nice space, fantastic patio. Has a ton of potential!!

The food was super good, Customer service so good. Definitely would come here again with the nice vibe inside.

My family is vacationing on the island, and we are so happy that we found this gem! We got the carry-out chicken piccata - couldn't have been easier or more delicious - took just 15 min to heat and it was great - the roasted potatoes were crisp and flavorful, my daughter especially loved the fresh blueberry crisp and added a scoop of their vanilla gelato. My husband wanted something different, so their chef made him a special chicken pad Thai that he said was fantastic. Loved meeting the owners, they are so warm and welcoming that it felt like home. Wishing them many years of success !

We really wanted to like this new addition to the island, but the food has not been good. Tried BLT, bacon was too tough to eat. Caesar with chicken ok, not much flavor. Decided to give it another try and had chicken piccata. The chicken was dry and tough, could not finish it. The potatoes with it were hard so did not eat. Would like to see this place succeed, owners seem nice. But the food has not been good thus far. Disappointed. Maybe breakfast is the way to go here. Avocado toast roll-over from Hemingway always good!

Food was tasty, however price is ridiculous. Service was subpar and restaurant wasn't very clean. Tables weren't wiped down. The table beside us left before getting their food because the wait was so long.

Took forever on food to be served and the prices were ridiculous the restaurant needs a good cleaning, we (3) and one another table of 3 were the only participants in the place
