I stopped in for the first time this weekend, and I have to say that this is a pretty solid restaurant. The staff is very welcoming when you enter and the service is pretty fast. Ashley was my server, and she was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the pumpkin pancakes special, which comes with a side of eggs made the way you want them. Those pancakes were so delicious and very filling where I could even finish them. They also make good coffee here as well. The prices here are great as my entire meal costs under $20. They have a decent sized menu, and the establishment is clean. They also have parking out front, but it can seem limited. I didn't get a chance to try their baked goods, but I will be sure to check it out the next time I stop in.

Half of the hash browns were burnt. The avocado had a lot of dark black spots. And the presentation of the food was terrible. But the pancakes were okay

Jaene was our server and she was very friendly and quick. Very good at her job! The food is fairly priced and good for breakfast. Always a nice spot for Sunday breakfast!

IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE A -5 STARS Ordered desserts for delivery and I ordered a caramel apple slice and a peanut butter pie slice and one brownie. They sent two peanut butter pies. The brownie was so old and stale that as you can see in the videos it was near impossible to break. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING they would send that because I know you could feel how hard it was when you picked it up to put it into the container. I will never order from here again. Absolutely ridiculous. Perkins USED to be pretty good that brownie was hard as a rock. Like I could have thrown it at someone && knocked them clean out. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. Never again tho Perkins.

I have to admit I have avoided this location for several years. My last time here, I didn't like the smell of the rug, and the tables all seemed like they weren't being cleaned properly. They have greatly improved. My friend wanted Perkins, so I agreed for his sake. The place had different floors, cleaner tables and the service was really good. The food was never an issue and the menu got better. I'll come back.

Your average Perkins experience. Food isn’t terrific but it’s good. No greeting or goodbyes on the way out from front of the restaurant staff which I thought was rude considering I paid up front and interacted with them.

Enjoyed brunch - it was the first time in years since the kids are grown but, we will be going back soon. They have a 55+ menu and it was great.

I tried to contact the website and then on Twitter but no answer. Letting you know your website is down. My husband tried to register and it shows failing page. Friendly staff but oh boy save your $ The food is not good We got a $9.99 breakfast bowl thing and it was mashed up tator tots tiny pieces of ham and bacon w eggs and gravy. Idk how something w so much stuff can be so bland Coffee is weak and overpriced about $4 each Donut about $4 and so dry and bland idk how you mess up a donut. Inedible We left the food and didn't finish the coffee Service is not good either. The staff is so nice but our waitress disappeared completely and it took forever to get drinks and the check Then they charged us the wrong price for our food When the waitress asked how our food was and we told her she just walked away lol Please guys go support local business. Royal crown is down the street and the colonnade diner's food is way better huge portions and unlimited coffee

The caramel apple pie is a HIT!!!! Very tasty, the flavor is well blended. The crust is flaky tender and golden brown! When served warm it literally melts in your mouth! I also suggest topping it with a scoop of Vanilla bean ice cream the perfect combo!

Went in yesterday between appointments Ordered the 55+ breakfast special along with a blueberry muffin The food was fine but the muffin needed to be baked a little more as it was very doughy and not good I pointed it to our server Brianna and she shrugged it off I'm not sure why I took a picture of it before the busboy took it away but I'm glad I did !! We got the check and not only did she charge me for the muffin but decided to charge us for a coffee as well ! I pointed it out to her and she claimed I ate the muffin ! I went to the cashier and so did she and blatantly said out loud she ate the muffin What !!!! I called her out and told her she was a liar ! I showed the manager the picture I took and suddenly Brianna vanished !! Boy did she pick the wrong one !!! BEWARE OF ADD ON items on your bill bit even more so steer clear of Brianna ! She also had a little girl working with her like 7-8 years old ??? Is that even legal ???

The ambiance of this place is like any other IHOP so nothing crazy good or bad. The service is very nice and fast which is very good if you're in a rush because the food is fast! The overall place I only recommend for breakfast otherwise the options are very limited. Overall they have very few veggie options for breakfast but absolutely none for lunch or dinner. The pies are very good and the food is mid but it's cheap as hell!

I give this place one star for the simple reason. Me and friends walk in the lady at the front as soon we came in not even greeting us she just said we're about to close. It was 7:37pm and they were closing at 8pm. Disgusting customer service and the coffee that was given in pot not even hot. It taste was like at end of coffee it tasted horrible.. the waitress was nice and polite but the one in front need to change her attitude and the way she speaks to people ! Her facial express toward us was also disgusting and nasty. Bad customer service do better. This is the last time me and my friends will come here.. do better or get a job that don't deal with people because she clearly doesn't know how to deal with people ! Smfh !

This was great- went there on Pi day due to a recommendation from a friend. I've never been to a Perkins before, but ya best believe that ya girl is going again. I had a omelette: spinach, Swiss, mushroom with fruit on side and hash browns. Totally hit the spot. Our server was very nice and attentive by the way! Main event: peanut butter silk pie. It was everything I hoped for- peanut buttery and decadent.

First time ever I was dissatisfied With my service. My husband and I ordered coffee. When we received the pot it wasn't hot and just barely enough for our 2 cups. I did ask for more and waitress did bring out more again not hot. We ordered our food waitress placed on table with bill we never seen again. Was never asked how our food was or anything. I still left 20% tip but she didn't deserve it.

First off, the food was very good. I got pancakes with fresh strawberries and the strawberries were delicious. None of that fake or jelly taste. The pancakes were soft and fluffy. The bacon and eggs were also cooked just the way I like them. The only reason I didn't give this place a better rating is because of the wait. Our waitress seemed to be serving us in a rush, but it was not that crowded. She walked up to our table holding another tables food and asked what we wanted to drink without even a hello. Plus there were no utensils to be found on the table. Then when it was time to get the check, we hadn't seen her since she took our food order, because someone else brought us our food. Overall I'd say that it's a good place to grab tasty breakfast food at any time of the day, but expect to wait a bit.

Food was very good, server Camryn was great, seating very cramped though, I understand a strip mall spot needs to maximize space but I could not even get my feet under table at the booth and it was so close that it was hard to use silverware, maybe remove a booth and space it out some Perkins...

I had been to a Perkins in TN once before and thought it was good. So I was excited to see a location in Staten Island as I live in South Brooklyn. So decided to pay the toll for the Verrazano and take the family on Mothers day. Unfortunately my pancakes and french toast had an awful taste. It was like burnt oil or a kinda fishy taste. I suspect the griddle wasn't cleaned properly or something. It seemed particularly to be on the browned outside. When I was feeding it without syrup to my 1 yr old son, I tasted it plain and thats when I gagged at the off flavor. When checking out the cashier asked how was everything. When I said not good and shared why. She just kinda hesitantly apologized and looked at me as if I was an ass for saying it wasn't so good.

The customer service is great but there's just no reason to go here. It's Staten Island, so there are plenty of other places with affordable food, and there are plenty of other places that can give you a large amount of food, and there are plenty of other places that can give you tasty food. If you're desperate for pancakes, go and make some, because you in all likelihood will make them better than Perkins does. In fact literally everything that you can make is better than the food at Perkins as long as you have a really basic skillset for cooking. The only time I would go back is if someone who never went to Perkins before begs me to take them.

If you have 2-3 hours to spare during your day to sit and wait forever for your order to go in... then this is your place ! I understand its a weekend.... But come on ... 1 hour and 30 mins for our order to get started ??????? Brought out 2 hours later from when we sat. We were gone 2 hours and 30 mins. Took forever.

Just had the chicken biscuit breakfast with over medium eggs and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, my waitress I can't remember her name but if you go there she's a redhead, make sure you get seated with her. She's attentive and very informative of the menu. An overall great experience.

perkins in Blaine, MN has always been a great place. Stephani is always so friendly as are the staff.

Very bad service. Unfriendly waitresses. Waited forever to get our table clean. They don't have enough staff to work.

The food was overall amazing. The steak was well done, the omelette was excellent. The pancakes were so fluffy and tasted so good. You can tell they really put effort in when making your food. Even after not being able to eat it all and heating it up it was still really good. Which is rare especially when heating up restaurant food. The prices was really good. For a lot of food it was less then $12 for one meal. Thanks guys! Oh yeah,next time don't forget to read the delivery instructions. Thanks.

I went here this weekend for a quick lunch, never having tried Perkins but hearing good things from friends who've been there. Overall, I think they do a good job for a fast casual, sit-down restaurant. The food is not exceptional, but decent-I would recommend the mozzarella sticks personally-and the service extremely attentive. I want to go back sometime in the future and see how they do breakfast, and possibly dessert. The only real reservation I have are the flies-one or two-which were hovering over my table very briefly during my meal.

It's still Perkins. And it's the last one around. Which is too bad. Yes, it is still the best place on the island for your basic breakfast. How is there only one on the island?

I walked in to order to go for the first time after Covid started. i just wish the cashier/manager behind the counter had a smile, she looked surprised to see a customer, no greeting nothing until i placed an order.. the whole time was cold no smile. Otherwise food looked good

The fall menu started so we decided to go for pancakes! Ok...my pancakes were so over cooked. They were hard and very dry in the inside. The kielbasa was sent to my table burnt. I was very disappointed. Our waitress was terrific, but her service could not make up for the poor quality of food sent to our table.

I haven't gone to Perkins since it close in Manhattan. So I took my family to the one in Staten Island for breakfast. It was worth the trip, cause I like the breakfast there. I was disappointed because they stopped serving the breakfast potatoes. I hope it comes back, u could get hash browns anywhere. The service was great and the food. Bring back the breakfast potatoes.

The service suck for the past 2 days I don't get what I Oder I ask for coffee with cream they give me someone other table cream I had to go to the front and ask them to give me cold cream not someone's cream that been on the table for awhile I missed Jean and Brianna now these severs were great

Perkins in a nut-shell is similar to I-Hop, Only difference is I would choose I-Hop over Perkins if I had to eat and I don't like I-Hop much. When we came in there was plenty of seating because it was slow. We sat down and ordered waters for the table. The water had a funny taste to it so I knew it wasn't filtered. Looking around I loved the modern look of the place with the old school music playing. It worked well with a 50's type vibe. When the nice waitress came for our orders one of my Co-Workers ordered mozzarella sticks, the other ordered Cheeseburger fries and I ordered shrimp & grits. When the food finally came out, they gave my Co-Worker chicken fingers instead of the mozzarella sticks. The waitress quickly took them away and got the order right. She also took the differences off the check which was cool. When it was time to eat I must say I wasn't impressed, not in the least. I asked for extra cheese on my grits and the gave me a little container of Parmesan cheese, not what I was looking for. The shrimp had no flavor, which I was surprised about, how can you not get shrimp right. The Cheeseburger fries were bland and the fries were hard. The chicken fingers were on the dry side as well. All sad and done, I won't be returning, I will just go to I-Hop and get substandard food and that's a improvement.

I rarely go to Staten Island. I go when I have to get to Jersey, I go when I want to smell a landfill, I go when I want my hair to have tons of volume...Okay, enough of me bashing SI. Last night I went to Staten Island for good food. Good food that, sadly, is only found on SI or upstate. Perkins was well worth the trip, though. The service is friendly and fast, the food is AMAZING (breakfast all day makes me happy), and the dessert is delightful. It's definitely worth the trip if you want huge portions and good service. I was happy to get off that island ASAP, though. No offense to you Staten Islanders out there, I just really dislike where you live.

First time coming here we waiting about 5 minutes for a table the waitress was quick and attentive we ordered our food which took about 20 minutes to come out it's not her fault but when it did the sausage on my plate was burnt and dry like when you forget a hotdog on the grill lucky I had ordered extra on the side which were cooked right. $30 for breakfast for 2 which coffee food was alright nothing spectacular

Currently, sitting in PERKINS, after finishing my Belgian Waffle platter breakfast, with 2 cups of coffee (definitely required since I'm awake so early) . Upon arrival, walking through the door, I was greeted, and seated in a timely fashion. Margaret (server/waitress) was very friendly & approachable!! She chatted with me (which is seldom uncommon). Happily awaiting my breakfast, I didn't have to wait long.. Margaret had told me it was coming after assisting another patron. The food was quite delicious & filling!! Wish there was an assortment of syrups. Okay Perkins is about to fill up with the morning crowd, so that's my cue: Time to go.. But not before I pay my bill.. No rush on anyone's part.. Margaret did ask if there was anything else I needed, with a smile. Yeah, I think I will be coming back!! (Unfortunately there was one patron huffing, puffing, & mumbling.. No fault of the establishment.. He seemed to be a regular)

Went here last night for dinner as I was craving an old school Turkey Club and remembered that when I was a kid that Perkins had a killer one at that. Well...It's not an item on the menu the way I like it. Anyways I digressed...I was hoping that this would be a serviceable meal with decent service. I have mixed feelings about both. Let's start with the food, we ordered a Chorizo Quesadilla thing that was rather disappointing and was not portioned correctly. 1 tortilla had all of the meat on top while the others had very little. I ordered the Granny Wrap which was decent (probably a 4 star meal) with tater tots and I was generally happy with it. My gf on ordered the Eggs Benedict as she always does when she goes to Perkins as she loves the sauce. It was brought out to her and she was rather disappointed. It looked to me as if it had sat in the window while my food was cooking. One of the Eggs was Poached Hard and the other was normal. I don't know what it is lately with Staten Island cooks not knowing how to poach eggs properly. The sauce was skimpy and the meal did not look very appealing. Now for the service: We were promptly greeted and sat. The server came up and took our drink orders, he was neither here nor there with his service, but I wasn't expecting white table cloth. He brought our drinks out and came back shortly to take our orders. I was rather thirsty and drank my soda fairly quickly and he walked by the table multiple times without noticing my empty cup. What really got me was when he was picking up our appetizer plate (didn't ask if we were finished or asked how it was) and reached over the empty glass. At that point I asked him for another glass (he never asked again when my soda got low later, but don't worry I rationed my soda knowing this). He was not present on the floor but you could hear him joking around in the kitchen. We did see him when he was arguing with the other server about side work right there on the middle of the floor. He eventually touched our table to see how the meal was. We were both pretty much done at that point. We were going to order dessert but we were a bit turned off so we declined. Very disappointed.

Perkins is a nice place to have breakfast lunch or dinner. They have plenty of seating it's well lit, they have plenty of children seating and the menu is extensive the atmosphere is very friendly the food taste good I would go back here. We drove past Perkins quite a few times when we were in Disney visiting Mickey Mouse.

Nice local restaurant for a simple and quick meal. Service is attentive and quick. Love their freshly baked cream pies for my sweet tooth.

I checked this place out because for years I had driven past highway signs for Perkins and was curious what it was all about. Since I was enjoying a very nice Saturday by taking the Staten Island Ferry, I figured I'd do something very random and have lunch here. This location is located right by the Old Town SIR station, which is only about a ten-minute ride from the St. George Ferry Terminal. Long story short it's a chain version of the diners you see all across NYC, but with some perks (no pun intended). First off, Perkins has a very large desert menu and sells entire pies for takeout by the register. The layout of the restaurant is essentially two mirror-image opposite L-shapes with the register/sales counter and waiting area taking up the center and the bathrooms and kitchen taking up the upper corners. I was seated immediately and given the extremely large menu (even by diner standards). It actually took me a good ten minutes to choose what to order. What's interesting about the menu is that, since this is a chain, the calorie counts are posted, and, since this is a diner, you can actually find about how many calories you're taking in when you visit the mom-and-pop diners. Needless to say, the calorie counts scared me away from getting fries (~600cal) with my turkey club sandwich (~800 cal), so instead I chose a side salad (~150 cal). The service was very friendly (my Diet Coke was refilled twice without asking) and quick. Both the sandwich and salad were very tasty. The turkey club is my usual diner order, so I was able to compare, and Perkins' was a notch above what I'm used to. The salad was also better than expected. Let's face it, at a diners you often get a some old semi-brown salad with very little dark green. Perkins' salad wasn't world-class, but it was fresh. Just about all the meals will run you about $10 - $11 with a drink and tax. Overall this is a very decent place to have a meal.

This has to be my family and I's "go-to-safe-spot" to eat on Staten Island. This location (Hylan) completely revamped the interior and it looks great. The waitstaff is always friendly and quick and does not ever mind my dad taking 20 mins to order the exact same thing everytime we come here. Great for Brunch and go for dinner. Plus for ladies who are calorie conscious, they have a "light menu" that won't make you want to spend hours at the gym and doesn't cut the flavor. The baked goods are ammazing and fresh. The banana cream pie is my favorite and their banana walnut muffins are awesome. I last came here about 2 Saturday's ago on my way to get my pictures taken for my India/Nepal Visa.

The service at this established was beyond words sickening. We waited approx. 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge we were waiting for a table, as half the restaurant was empty. When politely asking if we seat ourselves, I was rudely told by the elderly hostess to "just wait." We then waiting another 10 minutes to sit. When ordering our beverages we received watered down luke-warm orange and apple juice. The vibes in this establishment are low, old and crusty.

Today I went in to eat for lunch with my family . I honestly wish I can give no stars to this review . I am so disgusted , I feel like I have post traumatic stress syndrome. I absolutely hate bugs . Always been scared of huge bugs . What do I find in my muffin today was a giant disgusting waterbug baked inside . Thank god I didn't take a bite and instead broke it in half . It was staring right at me . I felt so nauseous like I was going to vomit. Gave it to my waitress who showed the manager Ursula. She came over and apologized over and over and said she had no idea how that happened . That it has never happened before and that they just passed inspection. She said that she would take care of the meal for us, so we walked out . I'm not blaming her , but how does someone making muffins not see this huge bug in the batter . I will never be back. It's not even near my house. I only went becuase my daughter wanted to go .

I went here with some of my friends and we sat in the back were there was bugs all over the table and walls. We then asked to move and the waitress said yea but gave us an attitude. The food then came ( I got Mac and cheese with a side of broccolI ) and my food look crusty and old. Then I look over and see my friend picking out a piece of plastic out of her mouth. My other friend had waffles and there was hair in it. I don't recommend going here.

It's like IHOP but WITHOUT the rush, long wait, noise, and cramped space. You can relax and actually enjoy a good conversation over breakfast in roomy booths and tables. We had the Brioche Platter, Lemon Meringue Pancake Platter, Hearty Man Combo Platter, Omelette and Fries which were all great. Our server was very attentive and quickly refilled our coffees. Everyone was friendly. Restrooms were clean. Parking was limited because they share it with other stores/shops.

Great food. Super crowded Sunday 10/1 came here at 1130am. Got some teas. Waited 45 min for soup, half sandwich, salad to be served

My boyfriend and i came in here for a quick bite, the hostess upon sitting us was a tad rude, the food was not that great, I ordered blue berry banana pancakes and the bananas were so green they tasted like plantains and the scrambled eggs were super runny...my boyfriend's burger was decent....in all i won't be returning and they should hire friendlier staff

I have read all of the other reviews on this place & I don't know if we were in the same restaurant or not. My daughter & I were had an appointment in Staten Island. Afterward we were hungry & decided to try Perkins, (I have been to Perkins before, but only in PA & it was many years ago). I do have to say that the place was clean & the kids that work there were very nice & hard working. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was adorable. She had a very busy section, but she paid attention to everyone. But I do have to say the food was horrible. I had the chicken breast with melted Swiss & mushrooms. It lukewarm & dry. I had a hard time finishing it. My daughter had a pasta w/ Alfredo sauce w/ grilled chicken. It was flavorless. Very bland. I felt that the food was taken from the freezer & thrown into the microwave. I do have to add that we order the spicy buffalo wings for appetizer & they were delicious. Sorry folks I would not go here again. I gave it 2 stars because the kids that worked there were great & I don't fault them at all. But I do not think this place was worth the money I spent. We should have went to McDonald's.

My first review on yelp and I must say I have been wanting to leave one for this Perkins . I live about 5 blocks away . This is a warning . Ok we get in sit down no menu or anything over 10 minutes ........ My gf gets up goes to restroom to wash her hands comes back and is laughing about how some nasty girl was fighting with her bf on the phone while she blew out the stall . Low and behold she comes out after her and we notice ... u ready for this ... its our waitress ! Awesome this is gonna be a great experience . She comes over we order coffee and pie . We get crusty coffee cups that r dirty and they look like they were from world war 2 . The Pie was a cold slop . And to top it off waitress comes and lays the check next to me as I take my FIRST bite of pie !!!! Lucky I didn't snap. This Place is groce and smells like cat pee . Stay away

I too have PTSD after visiting this Perkins establishment. Took my daughter and her friend here for breakfast. I sat at a different table to give teenagers their privacy. As soon as I sat down my table was so sticky as if someone ate their pancakes off the table. I asked the server to please wipe down the table but it took her about 10 to find something to clean it with. Unfortunately cleaning did not help much because my table then smelled like mildew. I did not want to make a fuss because my daughter and her friend appeared to be having a good time and I did not want to spoil it. When my food arrived there were fruit flies hovering over my plate. Saying my food was over cooked is an understatement. I barely ate my food and decided to never go there again. It was not edible. I do not recommend Perkins to anyone especially the Hylan Blvd location. There are so many better places to eat breakfast on the island.

We were in a hurry so ran in to grab 2 muffins and 2 cups of coffee, the muffins were $2.79 each and it came to almost $15. When we questioned why we were told it was $1.79 extra to get regular milk In our coffee. Seriously? We walked out!

Came here and stood by the vacant hostess booth for 5 minutes waiting to be seated while 10 other workers just stared at us as if we were aliens. Management here is awful & it's sad bc I love Perkins.

Thank you so much to the staff at Perkins for working so hard this Christmas Day! I came in and they were slammed. So many people but the staff was so attentive and friendly. They got everyone seated as quickly as possible, getting orders ready and cleaning up/dishwashing as tables changed over from one family to the next, getting the "to go" folks like myself in and out as quick as humanly possible, and the cooks musta been cooking their crowns off because that food was delicious! So again thank you for working so hard today. Thanks for your efficiency, your friendliness and this delicious Christmas breakfast.

I am going to go to Perkins more often. Nice and attentive waitress, decent food, low key and pleasant atmosphere and reasonably priced. Went during the week, late morning, so the restaurant was not crowded.

Food was delicious and very fresh. The portions are very generous. The service was pretty good and everything was clean. The only thing was that they reuse the already written in childrens menus- 2 were written it that I know of. Other than that everything was great!

I would give more stars but the management is horrible. Food is decent. The old lady manager is the most nastiest Women I have ever met. Service is terrible. It takes 15 mins to just get your drinks. They Only have one server during the week nights. So if you have 3 hours to spare to get lunch or dinner then go for it! But it's not worth the wait.

Perkins is a decent place to go for breakfast. I've been here several times and the food and service has always been good. Always found a spot in the parking lot too. We've been to the Forest Ave. Location as well - the one on Hylan Blvd. seems less crowded. I like that you can build your own breakfast too.
