Peron Restaurant

We found this restaurant on the Michelin Guide. It is a fine seafood dining experience with beautiful views of the water. It is expensive, but nothing unexpected for a place of this caliber. We particularly enjoyed the catch of the day which was a 3.6 kg sea bass that they split among 6 of us. They even brought the fish out before cooking it to let us inspect it (it was a good looking fish but I’m not going to pretend I knew what to look for!).

Very sophisticated cuisine I should say. They serve high class cuisines where the staff explains the deep details. The foods are very tasty. Very friendly staff, nice ambience with open sea view, clean and modern interior design. There is no parking space, suggested to use taxi or car with driver, other that by walk.

Good mediocre service. The food is delicious, but there was a bone in the tartare. The staff said it was normal. For me, no, it's dangerous and it shouldn't be like this... I won't be back again. A place for a one-time visit

The view alone made it worth the trip. Beautiful view of the city at night. First time having John Dory, was perfect. Girl had fillet and enjoyed it thoroughly. We shared both the Kiwi and sorbet, and the lemon tart with meringue. Those finished up a wonderful 50th birthday for her. Would definitely recommend and return if we ever get back to Marseille.

Unique and historic restaurant on the corniche which has an amazing view over the sea. Full bay windows show the drama of the sea, but the kitchen is up to the task - food here is at a level, fresh ingredients and inventive combinations.

Jerome' and his colleagues made this lunch a real experience. Very friendly and smiling faces to all our questions about the food and the region. Great Chef and lovely location!

Mediocre service and food. Exorbitant price, definitely not worth it. - Setting: it's a typical sea view, nothing special. The building is nice enough though the atmosphere is stuffy. The art is terrible. - the service: forgetful with little attention to detail. I asked for an English menu, got a French menu again. Spent 5 minutes reading the wine menu, ordered, then 5 minutes later was told they didn't have it so had to start again. Champagne aperitif order was messed up. We were not allowed outside to the balcony to take a picture together though two other groups did and the staff went out at the end of the night. Not sure why. - amuse bouche : a solid disc of condensed checkpea with some nice flavours but the texture of wallpaper paste. - our entrees looked beautiful but were not good. The mackerel was way too salty and the pressed tomato had not been peeled so the ice cold skins stuck to my mouth again and again. The flavour was ok, the texture was not. I expect more for €30+ each. - mains: the monkfish (€49) was delicious and well presented, but the bouillabaisse (€72!) was so unappetising, lumps of fried fish lost in a puddle of brown sea slurry. See pics. All the subtly of the fish was lost as the "soup" was overpowering. - dessert: rum baba (€15, pictured) was delicious. Worth it. Total: €313 for two

Beautiful restaurant with amazing view! I got Entree + Plat for only 63 euro, such an amazing deal for this quality of food. Highly recommend sea bass and mushroom ravioli 😍 Very well deserved 1 star Michelin.
