Perry and Sons Market & Grille

By far the best new York strip steak ($30) I've had done here in the Houston area. Cooked to perfection, large baked potato with all the fixings, plus a large salad. Extreamly friendly folks as well. Don't let the out side turn you away....it looks cheap from the road but then you walk in a wonderful setting. You can pick your own steak out for them to cook. I came around 345pm and it was nice and quiet. Thank you go all the workers, you where all so wonderful.

The steak was cooked perfectly, but it seemed like way to much butter was on the baked potato and lump crab meat (see picture, the steak is literally standing in butter...). Comfort food tasty, but the local could definitely use upgraded decor.

The only restaurant in town where you can pick your own steak from a line up, or have the butcher cut you something exactly to your specifications. It's also really underutililized for a restaurant. No wait like there can be at other prime steak houses.

Wednesdays have a great lunch special. 12ish dollars for their famous pork chop and mash potatoes.

Had the steak for 2 with my mom. Subbed my salad for fries, my mother liked her salad and the fries were really good! The baked potato, I'm typically not a fan of them and but they came out fine. The steak was huge and was really good, peppercorn gravy was good for dipping. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse cake slice and my mom had the bread pudding which we both loved our choices. All in all, service and food was great. I'm excited to come back soon and try something else on the menu.

We love the food. The chicken fried steak is wonderful. We love the huge pork chop but, the service is lacking. We have missed going in for a while and instead of table service, you take your menu to the table and then go back up to the counter and order. I prefer table service especially since they leave a line open for a tip. .

We were looking for a steak place in Texas that was not a chain but also not cost prohibitive. We saw this place and decided to try it since all the reviews were good. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were great. The waiter was awesome. Ask for Jesse if you come in. We are from Florida and will definitely be back next time we travel this way.
