"The steakhouse chain with two Austin-area locations (the other up in the Domain Northside) are offering Thanksgiving meals. The $49 meal includes an appetizer (such as butternut squash soup or apple salad), the smoked turkey breast entree with gravy, plus sides like mashed potatoes, sausage and sage dressing, and more. Pumpkin cheesecake is available as an add-on for $9. It’s available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in services. Reservations are recommended. Find similar dine-in meal options at Perry’s Austin-based grill spin-off Carve with also two locations (Barton Creek, near Rosedale)." - Nadia Chaudhury

Absolutely delicious food, top level service from the time we were sat until we left- our server was INCREDIBLE- as were the others I saw managing the tables around us. The atmosphere is beautiful and very classy and relaxing. The mojitos are out of this world. Over all- a different level of fine dining and highly reccomend!

I am a return customer at multiple locations for Perry’s steakhouse. However, I have to discuss the amazing journey I was able to be a part of. Our server, Brian, was absolutely the greatest. We started the evening with a blind taste comparison to observe the differences between old world and new world wines. Brian is a true sommelier and helped coach us on multiple differences and provided amazing examples of each. He then provided perfect recommendations to pair the wine with for our meal choices. Perry’s is always amazing food, but the pairings were better than any experience I’ve had previously. At the end of the meal, Brian brought amazing desserts (my favorite is the beautiful cheesecake in the photo) along with a delicious dessert wine. BUT, to finish the evening, Brian brought an extremely rare bottle of Grand Marnier for us to sample. Brian’s excitement for us to experience this was absolutely infectious and made the entire meal something I will always cherish. THANK YOU!!!!

I have very mixed feelings about my visit here. The service was very slow. We didn’t get bread until after we finished our appetizers. The appetizers came out before our drinks arrived. The Jameson Mocha Old Fashioned left a lot to be desired, but the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini was legit fantastic. Probably the best espresso martini I have ever had! We had the pork chop bites, which were fantastic, but the crab cakes were clearly not fresh but came frozen. They were barely warm and tasted like frozen fish sticks. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked, and desert was delicious. Overall an ok restaurant, but I expected better for the price. I’ve had better experiences at Longhorn, to be honest.

John was a great waiter! Food was great the potatoes were the star of the sides, steak was cooked properly and tasted amazing. App was solid, the Palomas were great! Comped my girlfriends dessert for when they found out it was her birthday.

Google
Great atmosphere, OK food, weird service. Appetizers, Caesar salads, & desserts were excellent. Steam was cooked perfectly but significantly over seasoned to the point most people on our party were scraping off the crust of their steak before eating. The lobster tail I added to my steak was overcooked to the point of being rubber. Sides were just OK, nothing special. Our server (Garrett) started with "Hello, you all obviously haven't been here before so let me tell you about Perry's". I have no idea the intent of this comment but it wasn't received well. He then continued for the entire evening with a weird forced aristocrat/formal accent thing that was just plain weird. Overall decent meal but I would try another steakhouse in the area before returning.

Google
Food and atmosphere were great. Our waiter was a little lacking and had a bit of an attitude at times. Then found out they overcharged me on our meal. The service could have been better for the price.

Google
I wasn't a fan overall. There are better prices for the overall meal quality. A nice atmosphere and provided a good place to meet out of town guests. The desert wasn't that great....best item for the price was the truffle fries. There was a long leak left in our lobster mac that we thought was a piece of wax paper. It just was a blah experience and I feel like with the choices in the area that there are many better places we should be spending our money. Not here; tried it and it will be awhile before it gets another chance. I can't recommend and not on my hot list to return to

Google
Service was top notch. Clearly one of the best steakhouses in Austin. Classic steakhouse menu. highlights were porkchops, Medallion filet minion, lobster mac and cheese, Mac and cheese. Cocktail menu was great and wine selections are extensive. Celebrated a Birthday Milestone with new friends. Had a wonderful VIP experience for a.large party of 12. Eating in the bank vault.

Yelp
This was our first time at Perry's and Brian provided wonderful service! Went here for Mother's Day and my mom enjoyed every moment. Food was awesome

Yelp
One of the reasons I continue to grind & work everyday is to be able to comfortably afford the delicacy & rarity of such a such a fulfilling meal. Our server delivered excellency & the manager ensured each table felt welcomed. Classy chic-restaurant. Mouth savoring tomahawk rib-eye, crunchy Mac & cheese that blended the right amount of rich cheese & crunchiness, and mashed potatoes that were creamy with hints of sour cream Indulge in a succulent tomahawk rib-eye, perfectly seared to lock in its juicy tenderness, accompanied by a delish Mac & cheese boasting a delightful crunch and blend of luxurious cheeses. Also tried the velvety mashed potatoes, infused with creamy richness and subtle undertones of tangy sour cream. We accompanied our meal with an exquisite Bordeaux - CHATEAU BLAIGNAN MEDOC BORDEAUX Holy moly was this meal great. Will come back whenever I can.

Yelp
Our bill was almost $600 for 4 people. Each of us ordered an appetizer and an entree. I added 3 scallops with my entree at $6 a piece. I figured they would be a decent size for the price. They were honestly about a quarter inch wide when they came out, some of the smallest scallops I have ever seen. Not one time did our server ask how our food was until we told him we were ready for the bill. I imagine they avoid asking because they are aware. We gave him honest feedback, soups were cold, caesar salad was $16 and the size of a side salad, and worst of all $6 per scallops that were smaller than oysters. The server apologized and said he would like to at least remove the scallops he even noticed they were very small (but hoped we wouldn't notice) first he needed to check with his manager. Came back and said Lance Bourque the general manager denied his request to remove them off the bill. That was really one of the rudest things we have ever encountered in a restaurant especially when we spent nearly $600. We would have just given an extra $18 to the server but instead of doing a nice gesture they chose to lose returning customers and the respect of that employee. Aside from the ignorance of the staff the food was 100% not worth the price when you compare them to even other restaurants they own. Carve is 100% times better than Perrys (price and quality) and we go there a lot but I imagine we won't go back because obviously the owner does not care or bother to train the staff. If you are looking for a nice dinner downtown head to Trulucks for amazing seafood or Eddie Vs and or Capital Grill if you want a great steak. There are countless better options in downtown Austin that are less expensive and 10x the quality of food and service.

Yelp
Perry's was a great spot to try when I was in Austin. The service was great for our big party. They were attentive and quick with bringing things out and replenishing us whenever we needed more drinks or water. The espresso martinis are delicious and you can choose whatever alcohol you want. We went with the local drink of choice - Tito's. I was disappointed with the steak. The dry-aged Koji steak was just too salty for me. I wish I went with the filet mignon instead.

Benjamin B.

Yelp
A great steakhouse, awesome decor and the service is excellent. You get what you pay for. The staff were accommodating and very nice. Everything we ordered was delicious. Only down side, it was very loud, but they were really busy. I suggest not coming during the rush for a casual conversation. We also had kids, and there was no simple dessert menu for them. So the staff whipped up a huge plate of delicious vanilla ice cream . They loved it, we loved it.

Yelp
Shana, my wife, set this up to celebrate my birthday. She made reservations some time ago for 5 pm on Saturday 1/20/2024. We were both excited, we rarely go to a steakhouse, much less a high class or fancy one. We took an Uber from the hotel we were staying at for the weekend. We arrived on this cold day a few minutes before our reservation time, it was not yet crowded, in fact their were few people there at this time. We were seated right away, and met our waiter who was very knowledgeable and friendly. The décor was beautiful of course and we looked over the menu and listened to what our waiter had to say. We started out with drinks, I opted for a blackberry drink which was unique, some interesting flavors. I later ordered a Perry Berry Mule which was very good. Shana ordered the Jameson Mocha Old Fashioned. She really enjoyed it. They start with some very good bread and amazing butter. Having never been here we did take some advice and recommendations from the waiter. Shana had been looking at Lobster or Salmon but was sold by the talk about the Pan Seared Sea Bass. I went with a Wagyu steak that was also Japanese A5 Wagyu NY Strip and it was perfection. Medium as suggested by waiter who was really excited about this option. We did each start with an a salad or soup. Shana had a Butcher's Chop Salad with Italian vinaigrette and the crispest bacon she has ever had and she loved only crispy bacon. I dined on Turtle Gumbo, which I have Cajun blood and love gumbo but never had Turtle gumbo. I feel like Shredder's Cajun cousin. It was surprisingly good. We both LOVED our meals, the steak was amazing, my wife doesn't like steak and even she was impressed with a bite of it. She had been sold on the Sea Bass but still was hesitant up until she tried it and she was so glad she went with it, she raved about it for days after. Going back to normal meals was going to be a challenge! The steak was just perfect, and the Sea Bass feel apart it was so tender. The flavors and seasoning on both were just amazing. Many of the reviews have people who come a lot. We can't do that but that also means they get one chance and they nailed it. This was a great day and this was an fantastic meal and I am so glad to have shared this with my wife for my birthday weekend.

Yelp
Let's start with the music... I don't go to a nice steakhouse to listen to pop music. The oysters were ok but my steak was not good. As a filet, it was not tender at all! The seasoning was spicy and took over the flavor of the steak. My son loved his steak sampler that included 2 wagyu steaks and one from Nebraska. Blind taste test, the Nebraska New York strip was more tender than the Japanese Wagyu!

Yelp
First time visit for me as I joined my colleagues at a work holiday luncheon. I kept hearing rave reviews about their famous porkchop, so of course I ordered that dish. The service was great as the staff was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The ambiance is the standard steakhouse vibe but I do love the unique décor items such as the vault. Overall solid experience - worth the trip if you're visiting or new in town.

Yelp
1/12/2024 Perry's Steakhouse & Grill 114 W 7th St Austin, TX 78701 I went there for lunch for the Friday Pork Chop Special. It's located in DT Austin within walking distance of all the hotels. There was a large crowd in the entry area waiting for seating when I arrived at noon. Reservations are recommended. As I was a single, I sat at the bar with no wait. The bartender took and entered my order in their system. The chop arrived shortly with some apple sauce in a sauce cup. The chop was a huge three bone monster with a nice roasted sweetish crust. I am glad I passed on the bread and mashed potatoes because I barely finished the chop. The inner part was a little dry which the apple sauce helped, I asked and received more sauce quickly. I also combined pieces from the crust area with the inside meat for a delicious combination. As they were crowded, the conversation noise level was high. Service was excellent. They are only open on Friday's for lunch. This meal was a good value for 20 bucks. Very repeatable.

Yelp
Food: had the chateaubriand, and it was very disappointing. Perry's idea of a chateaubriand is to dress up a filet mignon with three mediocre dipping sauces. One of the dipping sauces was served cold. Totally disappointing. Tried the porkchop and it was above average but on the dry side. Drinks: Above average Old Fashioned Service: Eli was a very good server. All other personnel we encountered ranged from mediocre to bad. For example, the young man delivering entrees struggled with getting food to the tables. The hostess Angie was not very good. Ambiance: classy ambiance, but portions of the dining room had so much traffic that it disrupted the dining experience Overall cleanliness: above average Misc: Reservations recommended

Yelp
After a grueling doctor's visit, I was absolutely famished so I headed to Perry's Steakhouse for a lite afternoon snack. Being  Pork Chop Friday at Perry's I knew that it was going to be busier than usual but I was surprised to get a table almost immediately.  My servier Kaylie was great. I started off ordering a Maker's Mark Old Fashioned to be followed by the Tempura Fried Lobster Tail and then the Perry's Pork Chop special. I have been anticipating experiencing the culinary experience of the Lobster Tail ever since a friend told me about it. I do declare that I was absolutely scrumptious especially after dipping the tempura lobster in miso butter.  And of course, the piece de resistance was the Pork Chop served with whipped potatoes and homemade applesauce. The Finale was a double espresso and a snifter of Drambuie, for digestive purposes.

Yelp
Absolutely STELLAR experience at Perry's! We were just in town visiting, and when we said we wanted to go to a steakhouse, they said, "we MUST take you to Perry's!" Perry's did not disappoint! Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable, and although I think we threw him off a bit- we took awhile to order and then had to rush at the end because we realized we were late for another reservation, he was awesome. And the food!! Perry's easily rivals any top Las Vegas steakhouse, and for a fraction of the cost. Our cocktails were perfect. I got the blueberry cucumber martini- it was sweet but not overly so, and very refreshing. The warm bread and butter was heavenly- soft and melt in your mouth. For the entrees/sides: My surf and turf (6 Oz filet and lobster tail) was perfectly cooked, seasoned well, and filling. I had a bite of the ribeye though, and had total food envy! We carb loaded and did the lobster Mac and cheese and the loaded whipped potatoes and both were out of this world. The lobster Mac was loaded with lobster chunks and creamy macaroni, and the breadcrumbs were the perfect addition. The potatoes were cheesy and so rich, with bacon, chives, and sour cream. We had to get our dessert to go, but the seasonal pumpkin spice cheesecake was AMAZING. Omg, I might go back just for that alone! The whipped cream with caramel sauce and pecans just added to the flavor. Well done indeed Perry's!

Yelp
Please note: this review was on Thanksgiving and may not reflect a normal night. First time here and we decided to make reservations for 6pm and sit on the patio. We arrived 10 minutes early to what appeared to be an overcrowded entrance and lobby. We checked in without issue and stood amongst a swarm of people some coming, some going, some just standing and waiting. We stood for 20 minutes as names were called out and families ushered to their tables. As I realized at this moment it is now 20 minutes AFTER our reservation. My wife makes the Seinfeld reservation joke to a few laughs amongst those in earshot. I walk up and ask how much longer - something I suspect the staff must cringe being asked. I am told we are close and the tables haven't cleared yet. So I ask in time and am told about 15 minutes. This puts us at 35 minutes after our scheduled time and 45 minutes of waiting g since we arrived - not cool but it's not like I can cancel now as I have no where else for dinner. I walk to the bar for a drink at this point and the two bartenders are wildly overwhelmed yet trying to make it all. The bar is full and there are lines for drinks. I wait in a line which to my surprise takes 15 minutes to acknowledge a menu. I'm told I'm next and as luck has it a customer has a food complaint which made the wait even longer. I remain steadfast to not leave as I'm next. It is at this point our table is ready so guess I have to sit down now and lose my spot. Once I did sit I clocked that it took us 1 hour and 10 minutes to get to that point. Crazy.... Perry's greed had to have led to overbooking is all I can assume. Do better guys! So the review: The server was great! She was quick to accommodate and I suspect was doing everything to shift sentiments back into positives. She was quick on water, fast on getting out bread, and even faster on drinks - thank god! We ordered the seafood stuffed mushrooms which came as 5 for 2 so we kindly split the last and they were great. I ordered the onion soup which was sized properly yet nothing memorable. I ordered the Chateaubriand which was 3 equal cuts of a 8 ounce portion and each accompanied with a different sauce. The sauces were fantastic and the meat was medium rare as asked and velvet in my mouth. The trio dessert finished the evening along with a glass of port (wasn't served in a port glass but no worries). I think the server truly saved the night for us and the restaurant needs to thank the hard work of their staff who made my Thanksgiving good. I feel the review gets 3 stars after giving zero stars for the chaos and a 5 star for that server who saved them from a bad review. I'll try next time on a non-holiday and I am sure it has to be better than the fail whale of Thanksgiving 2023.

Yelp
Came in for a work dinner. We ate in the vault room which is amazing. I highly recommend this room if you have a work event. Our service was outstanding and the food was divine. Here's what we had: Chargrilled oysters: Top chargrilled oysters I've had. Great flavor! 5 of 5 stars! Perry's signature fried asparagus: Wow this is a tasty dish! It's topped with crab meat and the table loved it! 5 of 5 stars! Perry's famous chop bites: This is a great option if you don't want to order the chop for dinner. 5 of 5 stars! Lobster Bisque: Nice big pieces of lobster in my bisque which was a welcome surprise. 5 of 5 stars! Bacon wrapped cedar plank shrimp: Amazing! Totally worth it! 5 of 5 stars Chargrilled salmon: Served on cauliflower mousse, I found it to be pretty good. 4 of 5 stars

Yelp
The pork chop was phenomenal and well seasoned. However, I did not enjoy my steak as it was way too salty. I couldn't even finish it. The side dishes were also just okay. Nothing special. Nice fancy ambiance. The waiter forgot about my dessert but we were with a large group of people so it's okay. He was still very nice. This place is downtown so parking can be awful but I paid for valet.

Mary V.

Yelp
Recommended dishes: Lobster Bisque & Filet Three Ways This place is a phenomenal in every single aspect. If you're looking for an intimate environment, this is the place. Our server, Kaylee was wonderful giving us recommendations on what was the best. While you look through the menu, the bread and butter they serve is a delicious and a great way to whet your appetite. The steaks were seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Vanessa R.

Yelp
I love this place! Went here for my birthday dinner as it didn't disappoint, the ambiance is set, the service is amazing and the food is definitely worth it! If you're celebrating a special occasion try them out!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
amazing friday special - $19 pork chop with mashed potatoes! this was one of the best pork chops i've had! super juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection! the potatoes were also great! don't be fooled by the pic, these chops are massive!! few notes: -they do offer valet parking for $12 if you can't find street parking! -the lunch deal runs until 5 pm which is super generous, make sure you order before 5 if you arrive near the end of this time frame!

Tanya S.

Yelp
Incredible food: prime rib and sea bass ... ALWAYS a quality meal in a beautiful restaurant with my favorite person, my son!

Pardis S.

Yelp
Great food, great ambiance and impeccable service are a few words to describe my experience at Perry Steakhouse. I have been for romantic date nights two times and the staff at Perrys have made my boyfriend and I's experience memorable! We started the night with crab cakes brought over in lavish style. I am still determining what the long flakes are, but it was a nice touch to the crab cake for presentation purposes. The crab cake was good, it was a sold 4/5. We then ordered two caesar salads that contained nuts and bacon, which were delicious and filling! At this point, I was already stuffed with the appetizers. We ordered the lobster mac and cheese not knowing that we would be full at this point, but we still devoured most of it because it was to die for! For the entre, we then tried their medium rare stake and their famous pork chops. The steak was great and juicy, flavored amazingly with the perfect amount of saltiness. But the pork chop was a showstopper. The waiter instructed us to try certain parts of the pork with a corresponding sauce. He was very passionate about pairing the correct parts of pork with the sauce, and his passion just added to the experience. We finished off the light with a trio sampler, with créme brûlée and two other small portions of sweets. This trio was the right amount of dessert as we were absolutely stuffed and had to take home leftovers! I will be in attendance at Perrys for special occasions. It made my boyfriend and I's date nights a lot of fun.

James L.

Yelp
Masterful meal curated by server superstar Brian. Amazing food, everything was perfect.

Rebeca M.

Yelp
Hands down the best service and food I have ever had! Our friend recommended Perry's for dinner and we decided to try it out. It was our first night in Austin and my boyfriend and I wanted to start the trip off with a special dinner. We started at the bar and had a cocktail each, then we moved over to our table. That is when the best experience started. Brian was our waiter and let me tell you, we have been to many restaurants around the States, living in San Francisco and NYC so we have had our share but the experience at Perry's was the best! Brian knew so much about wine and food and took the time to really make our experience top notch! If you are looking for an amazing experience, then you will need to try Perry's!

Peter K.

Yelp
Classic steakhouse, downtown Austin. Dark interior, excellent steaks. Great ambiance. Had a great time. Recommend ribeye and filet.

Casey E.

Yelp
This place is genuinely so wonderful! The food was delicious (we had gotten the New York Strip and for dessert the Rocky Road Bread Pudding) and our server Collin was so attentive and friendly. He even added roses to our table! Though the restaurant was dimly lit, you could still read the menu. It was peaceful and music was not loud at all. We went for dinner Monday evening at 9:00. 10/10 would recommend and go again.

Craig C.

Yelp
We went here today for the pork chops Friday lunch special and it was wonderful. Thick tender and perfectly cooked 2 pork chops with mashed potatoes fresh bread and apple sauce. Service was perfect fast friendly and professional. Allow time for the $12 valet parking which is the only way to go hassle free to the front door and really efficient. Downtown parking is bad just like most large cities. You really need to have reservations it's really packed on Fridays.

Tracey Z.

Yelp
Fancy fancy restaurant. The lighting is moody, perfect for a celebration. I got the potato artichoke and leek soup. Honestly this soup was below mid, it really had no flavor and tasted like baby food. Would not recommend. The best part was the bread - it was so soft and airy and WARM! Great service. Very accommodating.

RJ L.

Yelp
Perry's steak house is in the middle of a high end shopping are innThe Domain. I was with a large group of 11 and they had the table preset for us. It was a little tight and I wish they had added one more table just for a bit of comfort. The apps were the hit if the show the entrees were just ok. Entrees: Had the Perry Filet and was super disappointed. The temp med rare came out great but the steak was not very flavorful and needed something. One person in our group's steak was extremely undercooked but it took over 10 min for the waitstaff to walk by to flag someone down. Unfortunately by the time we finished our meal she was just getting her steak. Appetizers These were the star of the show. The table favorites were the chargrilled oysters, BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp and the seared sea scallops. For the cost of the meal and the food and the service I would not recommend going back unless a group was insistent of a close by steakhouse.

Ellie N.

Yelp
Must try: signature fried asparagus. This is not your regular fried veggies. I don't know how they season the asparagus but it's so delicious. The outside layer is crispy. The surf and turf pasta is my favorite. The portion looks small because we split it into 2 plates. The filet mignon is perfectly cooked. I asked for medium rare and it was PERFECT. Service: our waitress is above and beyond. She always comes with a smile. She refilled the water quickly and made good recommendations. The place is nice inside. They have 2 separate areas for dining and bar.

Alexis M.

Yelp
Overall a great meal. Took a long time to get drinks but the food made up for it. They were also willing to split the steak. Sides were amazing!

Art R.

Yelp
Love this place, best pork chops in Austin, and the service is always great. Always bring home dessert as usally have no room after large portion of pork chop, mash potatoes are great. Son had bacon slab burger, said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had.

Rhiannon D.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience this was. We came here from Houston just to enjoy this dinner. We were very impressed with valet service here. They opened the doors for us and made us feel like famous people for a moment. It was both me and fiances first time going to Perry's and was amazed by the decor. We sat at Bar79. The booths were a little high for me to get up on (I'm 6 months pregnant so it takes me a minute to climb up things) Once we were settled, the bread and butter came out and we started looking through the drink menu (well my fiance did) How delicious was the bread and butter. It got me excited to try the appetizer trio and we even ordered a side of the potatoes to share. My fiance had one of the smokey margaritas that had a kick to it which he really enjoyed. I had the mango soda which had a kick of its own due to the lemon. That appetizer trio though was delicious. I really loves the flavor of the porkchop bites and the fried asparagus was out of this world with that crab on top. I wanted to fight my fiance over the last few asparagus. The whipped potatoes were the best loaded potatoes I ever had. I'm so sad this entire meal filled us up cause I wanted more but there's always next time!

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
I tend to shy away from steakhouses because I prefer my steak well done and the culinary world acts like only unsophisticated peasants eat steak with no pink in it. However, I had a Yelp Elite Experience to try an appetizer with steak and I'm so glad I did because I absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, I'm only allowed to review it once (which I did, on the experience page), so this review is for everything else. This was also in the Bar (79) area. First off, I love a restaurant with a dress code, you just know you're in for a good time and will be taken care. The same hosts sit for the bar and restaurant and all staff (hosts and numerous servers) were incredibly nice and helpful. Though the bar was full, it didn't feel crowded because it is spacious with very comfortable seating. I got Field Green, Pear and Candied Pecan Salad to go with my Steak and Tater Totter Bites and washed them down with a deliciously refreshing cup of Pineapple Ginger Ale. The only downside was that the plant(? Lol) was dusty and it came halfway immersed in the drink. Anyhoo, the food all came with a free plate of warm bread and butter. The salad was fresh, crunchy, lightly sweet and with just enough dressing for flavor and texture but not soggy at all. Finally, I ordered a side of Sriracha Brussels Sprouts to take home - at $15 for Brussels Sprouts with sriracha and garnish, I think it's overpriced. That said, all the other food was delicious, staff were great, restaurant was clean and a great time was had. I'll be back again.

Katelyn W.

Yelp
Perry's Steakhouse is phenomenal. There is so much attention detail when it comes to their cocktails and cuisine. The mixologists at Perry's have their signature drinks down to a science. I was completely blown away by both "The Godfather Returns and the Perry Berry Mule". Both drinks added an extra layer to what I believe was a perfectly curated dining experience. Cocktails: The Godfather Returns is the perfect cocktail for sipping and relaxing. The monkey shoulder scotch and disaronno amaretto mix perfectly. If you want a refreshing fruity drink. The Perry Berry Mule is an excellent choice. Both drinks in my opinion were very sweet and delicious. Starters: The truffle artichoke dip was so delicious. If you love truffle, you will love this dip. It is rich, creamy And the chip served along with it are homemade. The fried asparagus was also one of my favorites! (P.S. crab is served on top) Nothing makes a vegetable taste better than battering it up and frying it. Definitely a starter worth trying. The pork chop bites, were made to perfection. If you have a sweet tooth and want to experience perfectly caramelized pork chop bites. You must order the bites. It might as well be like eating candy. They are incredible and beautiful. The prime NY steak carpaccio was a a nice and very lite bite. The flavors that were infused with the meat created a very fresh taste. Dinner: I had the 3- course Sunday Supper. Which I substituted desert with whipped potatoes. The meal comes with a Soup or Salad, Pork Chops and Dessert. I chose the pear salad which had a very nice acidity to it. That was easily cut with the candied pecans. The Dinner cut pork chop was absolutely heavenly. This pork chop is like having dessert before dessert. The sweet rich flavor that is created by the glaze and seasonings is mouth watering. If you are considering a side, I recommend ordering the whipped potatoes to go with this meal. They are so lite and fluffy. I shared all of this food with my friend and we could not finish it all. Definitely the perfect dinner for two. I recommend ordering one starter and saving some room for dessert. The servers are very attentive and the managers at are really focused on you having a pleasant experience. Very impressed by the overall care that was taken towards all of the guests at Perry's.

Yelp
A true elite experience at Perry's. Thank you Yelp! Thanks to being a Yelp Elite, I was able to attend an exclusive event and order an appetizer of Steak and Tater Totter Bites for only 79 cents. Tater tots topped with thinly shaved steak and a dollop of garlic aioli, sprinkled with chives. The meat was tender and the tots were crispy, slightly too generous with the aioli, but luckily was not overpowering. The main course was the Pork Chop 3-Course Sunday Supper. The seasonal beet salad was a refreshing touch to the meal. While radicchio was quite bitter (personally did not suit my taste), the beets, pomegranate, and grapefruit were complimented super well by the feta spread. Whipped potato was smooth, creamy, and buttery. A satisfying mouthful. Now, the main part, the Pork Chop. Seven-finger high. The meat was carved table side and served with apple sauce. It was soooo tender and flavorful. One word: PERFECTION. The dining experience overall was great. The staff was very helpful instructing and helping us with any questions about the event. Beautiful decor and a fancy dining vibe. There was a mistake with the bill at the end, in which they charge us the salad and side dish substitution when they were included in the 3-course. They fixed it immediately when made aware. *Bread and butter are complimentary. *Friday lunch deal: $19 for a lunch size Pork Chop, about 3 finger-high, more than enough for 1 person!! There were a total of 4 of us and the meal was filling but not too full. I would recommend going on Friday if you love money-saving and filling option like me!

Yelp
While I love Perry's pork chop, this location is not where I recommend to come for any special occasion. The employees ruined our lovely evening. This is the last time I will come to this location. Service 1 star. Pork chop 4 stars. Ambience: This Perry's is located in the downtown area. It is a lovely restaurant. We made reservations online. There were plenty of openings that I booked one day prior to coming. Service: Below average. The staff is over worked, our server was working too many tables and barely had time to check on us. Let alone give us steak knives since he was running between tables that were not close to each other. The staff is also either not empowered to make decisions or they need more training. I did put in the reservation it was our anniversary to let them know it was special occasion. They did put rose petals on our table, but I would have preferred a table with a bit more privacy. We asked to move to a different table and our hostess freaked out and left us standing there and she was gone for over 5 minutes, so we just sat at the table she dropped us off at. Then the person that served our food was confused. We saw our order come out and he walked past us, turned and kept looking for the table, he walked past us again, and then asked our server for help. Our server pointed at us and the young man apologized to us and then gave us our food. Again a training opportunity. We finished our meal, our server said do you want free dessert because of our note to the reservation? We both said no because we were full. Again a training moment. We did not put it was our anniversary for a free dessert. I use to bake cakes professionally so free dessert is not a big deal to me. I put that note to make staff know this is a special occasion. Thanks Perry's staff for taking the joy out of a special occasion. Drinks: ordered an old fashion with rye bourbon. It was okay, once the ice started to melt, it tasted better. Food: We had appetizers at another location so we came here for the main dish. I had to get the Perry's pork chop. It is the gigantic as I remember it! I told them to hold the apple sauce because I do not like Perry's apple sauce. The carved it beautifully at the table. The pork chop was delicious. My husband was debating over the filet or the chateaubriand. He ordered the chateaubriand. The portion was smaller than he thought since he ordered the 8oz filet. We could not inquire since nobody came and checked on us. My husband would not recommend the chateaubriand. I was trying to eat my pork chop with a butter knife. My husband filet was more tender, but he too was trying to use a butter knife. Finally, we were able to ask our server for a steak knife. We completed our meal and I was able to take my leftover pork chop home with me. Cleanliness: above average Bathroom cleanliness: above average

Yelp
I rarely dine in this part of town, usually eating at spots north of downtown or east of I35, but I got to try Perry's as part of a Yelp Elite Experience. I was pleased with the asparagus, beef & bleu, and pork chop bites I had discounted as part of the experience and used the money I saved to treat myself to a signature cocktail and a glass of prosecco. The bubbly black rose cocktail tasted like juice and was so smooth that the alcohol content didn't sneak up on me until I was halfway through. Would I trek to this part of town to eat here on any other occasion? Maybe not, but I really enjoyed my evening. I was also impressed that the Bar 79 portion of the restaurant was its own section rather than just being the bar -- I got to sit in a booth-style seat rather than a bar stool.

Yelp
It is a popular eatery when preparing for a long night out in downtown Austin. The place was packed for the dinner rush, recommend you have reservations. The interior was pretty massive, with private rooms, second level, and open area dining. The lighting was darker than I'm used to, and as crowded as it was, pretty loud inside. Was out with the guys, so the atmosphere didn't bother us, but for an intimate date night, I may consider someplace else. Service was spotty, it was very busy, but the server was always apologetic and polite. Food: salad wedge was on point, presentation and flavor. Sides were ok, definitely recommend the Brussel Sprouts. Steak.......was good. Here's the thing, the steaks were served on a very-very hot plate. I ordered a medium-rare, came out great, but as I slowly cut and ate the steak, it became well-done half way through. If I had known how it was going to be served, I would have ordered rare. So, keep that in mind when ordering streak.

Yelp
A warm and sunny Sunday afternoon at Perry's with delicious food. The sweet Yelp deal (for Yelp Elites) for steak and tater totter bites is delicious. Tater tots are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with thinly sliced medium steak and finished with garlic aioli. The steak is super tender and it just melts in your mouth. In addition to redeeming our Yelp deal, we also ordered their special 3-course pork chop Sunday supper which includes 7-finger-high pork chop, salad and whipped potatoes, which is at the same price as one piece of pork chop for dinner. The seasonal grilled beet salad was earthy and refreshing with a mix of radicchio, grilled beets, grapefruit, pomegranate, pine nuts and feta cheese. Rich and creamy, sweet and salty, fresh and crunchy - all made a delicious salad. Pork chop and whipped potatoes were consistently delicious and cooked to perfection. One thing staff should improve on is the restroom area. It had very strong odor at the hallway leading to the restroom. Odor check and some scented oil would be helpful. Our server - Amanda was very attentive. The manager also came to see us and answered our questions about the Yelp experience. Overall, it was a great dining experience. Thank you, Perry's for the delicious food and excellent service.

Yelp
This was one of the first restaurants we went to. When we moved, it was during Austin restaurant week, and Perry's had a deal so we had to go! Plus the bf could not have been more excited to have some Texas steak. When he made the reservation, he told them we were celebrating our anniversary, which was a few days late, actually... but nonetheless, it made for a pleasant experience. When we arrived, they had red rose petals on our table and each of the servers and staff who passed by our table greeted us. We had some steaks (obviously): ribeye for me, and NY strip for him. I think the restaurant week includes appetizers, a shared side, and dessert. So we got all that and were pretty happy with everything. I also got a nice cocktail with blueberries in it, can't recall the name. We've gone back a few times during their happy hour and we love the pork belly, as well as the massive pork chop on Fridays. You can ask them to split it for two and they'll serve it that way; definitely enough to feed two people.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Perry's Steakhouse and indulging in their Friday lunch special, the $20 pork chop. Let me just say, this was easily more than a pound of pork and it was absolutely delicious. To start, I began with the ribs and worked my way towards the outer edge of the pork chop. The meat was perfectly cooked and had a fantastic flavor. I then finished with the juicy center, which was elevated even more when dipped in the apple sauce. It was a mouth-watering experience that I won't soon forget. I also ordered the cream spinach, which paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes. The creamy flavor mixed with the whipped potatoes was the ultimate comfort food. The attentive service was also noteworthy, as our server checked on us often and ensured that our dining experience was a pleasant one. For dessert, we ordered the banana pudding with marshmallow, which was a massive serving that could easily feed 5-6 people. The marshmallow had a thicker consistency than usual, which added a unique twist to the dessert. The banana pudding had a drier texture that wasn't drowning in sugar which was a welcome change. Overall, I highly recommend Perry's Steakhouse and their Friday lunch special. The attentive service and delicious food make it a fantastic dining experience. Just make sure to bring a group of friends for the banana pudding!

Yelp
Had a blast for lunch on Friday with friends! The bartender was super attentive while we waited at the bar for the rest of our group to arrive. We got some oysters to share and all got the pork chop special. It was huge! Really happy with the experience!

Yelp
The best Kobe ribeye I've ever had and service was spectacular. I took my niece and her husband for dinner one night as a treat, and it was the best meal we've ever had hands-down!!! Looking to be entertained ? Watch the kitchen work like a well oiled machine as they prepare fresh hot beautiful meals right at the massive window.

Yelp
The pan seared sea bass was unbelievably good. I am going to dream of the red pepper coulis. My husband also loved his Chicken Oscar. Despite this being a steakhouse, we went steak-less and were very happy we did, although I'm sure the steak dishes are excellent as well. The service was great and we appreciated the recommendations from our server. The drinks were very tasty though not particularly strong; that said, it's not a bad problem to have because we were able to try more drinks throughout the meal knowing it wouldn't knock us down. Overall, a wonderful dining experience (and seriously, try the pan seared sea bass!!!!)

Yelp
We came here for Mother's Day. There were six of us. Food fabulous! Ambiance amazing! Service good. Valet parking prompt. I will definitely come back next time I am in Austin.

Yelp
My intention with this review is to offer guidance to fellow middle-class diners who, like myself, may only splurge on upscale dining a few times a year. Recently, I had the pleasure of dining here with my wife and two friends. For context, my benchmarks for comparison in the area are Red Ash and Austin Land and Cattle. In terms of culinary experience, the food was quite delightful, matching the quality of Austin Land and Cattle, though it fell slightly short of the high bar set by Red Ash. Unfortunately, our group experienced some digestive discomfort both during the evening and from consuming leftovers, a drawback worth noting. The service aspect left much to be desired. While we're not ones to demand flawless etiquette--we appreciate a laid-back, personable approach--the service we received felt more reflective of staff being overburdened and perhaps underappreciated, rather than an intentional casual vibe. For those contemplating a special night out and are setting aside a substantial budget, my advice would be to consider alternative venues where your investment might yield a more consistently positive experience. However, if exploring new culinary landscapes is your passion, this place still offers a worthwhile visit despite some aspects falling into the realm of mediocrity. Edit: We all ordered 2 rounds of mix drinks. 1 was placed as soon as we set and was first approached by the server. 2 was placed while ordering food. The second round of drinks did not come out until after we were completely finished dining and were ready to pay. I expect better at a place like this.

Yelp
I hate to downgrade my last review! You would think service on Christmas Eve would be worse then on a Tuesday night, in the middle of Summer. But, sadly, the service is the main reason for this downgrade. We did in faster, and actually sat on same table we ate at on Christmas Eve. There was a large party, we heard upstairs, which, I understand could have taken some away from service. But, there was like a party of 12 behind us too, and they they were not as loud, and they got their food right away, we saw. My husband got the best thing on the menu, which is their Pork chop (which I had a bite...still, OMG soo good). I had the Chateaubriand, which was great (order it a little less then you normally get, as it gets brought out on a cast iron skillet, and still "cooking' as they cut table side). But, the "not so good", was their "seasonal soup" which was the Potato and Leek soup. When first presented, it looked like "pea soup" . I am not sure if it was supposed to be "hot" or "cold", but was "lukewarm". But, worst of all, was the service. Table next to us, a table for 2 as well, got their food before us. We only ordered 2 sets of drinks. One-at beginning of meal...got about mid appetizers. But, second round,,,which most upset about, and waiter came back twice stating , " Oh, the bar is backed up"....40 minutes to get two drinks! That is crazy! We did love the lemon bar with the meringue, but would have been better with our two drinks all the way thru! Sorry, Perry's, ...On a Tuesday...should have been better!

Yelp
One of the best steaks I've ever had. The place has an old school steakhouse vibe with a touch of modern. Service was impeccable. Pricey but worth it!

Yelp
My family, a party of 14, went to Perry's for a graduation celebration. The food was fantastic! Service was excellent and atmosphere was enjoyable! Our server was on top of everything! Our water and drinks never ran out. It was an overall beautiful experience and we can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Great food but older restaurant, service and ambiance A+. Great place for meeting or special occasions.

Yelp
The food and the service at Perry's Steakhouse would be what I consider some of downtown Austins finest. This was my first-time dining at Perry's, and I was impressed. Our server John was the highlight of our dining experience. He was attentive, efficient, warm, friendly, and incredibly educated on the menu and pairings with remarkable recommendations. While we knew we wanted the infamous pork chop, everything else we ordered was what John suggested and all I can say is...phenomenal. From the fried asparagus with lump crab, pork chop bites, wedge salad and white chocolate cheesecake, we loved it all. Spectacular service is rare these days and I wanted to make it a point to praise John Ming for his hospitality. I made sure to find out his full name, so his service receives recognition it deserves. Cheers to more epic dining experiences and servers like John who we were lucky enough to have serve us at Perry's. I can't wait to enjoy another meal at this gem of a steakhouse.
