Pesantissimo

I usually don’t post reviews, but this is the worst pasta dish I could ever image. The sauce was atrocious honestly. The sausage had no color (they didn’t put it in the pan) at all, they just cut it and put it on top of the pasta as if it was decorative. The sauce as you can see is just a watery mess. The menu said “Parmesan sauce” well it was just pasta water with frozen supermarket grated cheese. Both pastas dishes we got were very spicy (for Italian cuisine),the problem is there was absolutely zero flavor expect the spice. The dish had more in common with the cheap spicy noodles you get at the supermarket, just summing in pasta water

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience at Pesantissimo on Regent’s Park Road. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in warmth — not just from the beautifully designed, intimate space, but from the staff who made us feel like treasured guests. The menu is a love letter to Italian simplicity, elevated with exceptional ingredients and flawless execution. Every dish felt both rustic and refined — the kind of food that makes you slow down, savor, and smile. The homemade pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauces rich but balanced, and the wine list thoughtfully curated to complement every bite. Special shoutout to the team for their impeccable service — attentive without being intrusive, genuinely passionate, and completely in tune with the rhythm of the evening. Pesantissimo isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. A quiet celebration of food, hospitality, and Italian soul. We’ll be back again and again. Five stars, without hesitation.

Perfect cafe/restaurant overlooking the cusp of Primrose Hill. I received excellent service all morning from the waitress Simona, I did not have to ask for anything more than once and I will definitely be coming here again! 5/5 stars reviews - Definitely would recommend and I commend Simona for the lovely service! A must visit spot

Beautiful restaurant, in the height of summer you feel like you could be anywhere in the Mediterranean! The pizzas we got were incredible, the staff especially Simona are the kindest, most accommodating staff! Will certainly be coming back.

The Good News: The food was spectacular. The best olives 🫒 on the street. The salad was excellent and my pasta cooked perfectly. The service was very good and attentive. The decor was nice. They were reasonably priced. They're within easy walking distance of Chalk Farm tube station. The Bad News: This is probably entirely personal for me. The music was *awful*. Seriously cringe. There's was some Muzak on doing nothing but covers of other people's songs, and each cover was more painful than the last. My solution for this is to order takeaway in future.

Nice restaurant with very good service. The food had a home made feel to it, which I enjoyed. They didn’t have spaces outside when we came and we were sat inside the restaurant. But as soon as a table opened up outside, they were kind enough to move us there. Overall, really good and happy with everything! 👌🏼🤗

The most wonderful Italian restaurant with the best atmosphere on the high street. The service is top quality with a special mention to Simona. The cheese sticks are delicious. Would highly recommend 10/10!
