Pete's Blue Chip

Every time I'm in the area, I look forward to stopping at Pete's Blue chip. I was there for breakfast, the gentleman took my order and as I headed for a seat he already met me with my beverage. The breakfast burrito was huge, delicious. Could only eat half. Took the other half home.

Quick service , ordered Pastrami chili cheese fries which was delicious. Price $ depends on how much you love pastrami with a strawberry shake. I recommend to everybody in the area who has and hasn’t had , you wont be disappointed i guarantee it - highway 2 and Colorado blvd Eagle Rock, Ca -1/2 mile east bound

Aww Pete's I will forever love && cherish you! One of the real gems of Eagle Rock, and even though I've moved cities away and far, I will always come back to Pete's but not just for nostalgic reasons, but because their food & service have stayed consistent throughout the years!! The burritos are gifantinous and meatyyyy! They dont skimp on any of their portions. And the love of my life -- ZUCCHINNI FRIES -- THE BEST!!! So fresg that you can see tgem being cut daily at the back, none of those freezer burnt ones that you've had before! Love you Pete's && Love your fam!!

I really enjoyed this greasy spoon. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was well cared for. The Philly sandwich I ordered was okay. The beef was really good but the cheese was all wrong. More of a steak sandwich than a proper Philly. Fries were fries but the ranch was divine (I'm a ranch guy. Not sorry)! Best restaurant ranch I've had since moving here! Also they had Orange bang! I will be back to try the pastrami and the chili.

I love Pete's Blue Chip! Been going here since the 90's and Effie is a great owner. The food is the best around, and their breakfast burritos are highly underrated.

I first went here in h.s. 1972. It was a small blue building, with a four-stool outdoor counter. Best burgers ever. I live in Vegas now. Nothing here compares to it!

Love the breakfast was amazing the young lady working the drive through was a beautiful person so sweet love the service would go back just for her overall 10 out of 10 definitely going back for dinner

I have been coming here since the 80's when I lived in the area. PBC never disappoints. Tasty fast food and no attitude. I usually come here to get some form of breakfast burrito. I love that all the different options. Even in the drive thru line if there is a line of cars it doesn't take too long.

Drive Thru Service Review Only: The boy child wanted a vanilla shake, so I went to the closest diner to his school. The drive thru was empty, and the order was quick and easy. As we waited at the drive thru window, I can hear the shake being made in the blender, so I knew my son was in for a treat. Happy Kid + Happy Mom = Happy Life

The one star for the 75 cents convenience card fee. Who carries cash Most places don't except cash.

Highlights on the lunch menu are the avocado bacon burger, pastrami sandwich, Gyro, Steak Sandwich, and the BLT. It pays to have cash since card payment carries a .75 service charge. Tasty food, friendly staff, and a classic place in Eagle Rock for generations.

Pete's has been around since 1971. As a born and raised Eagle Rock local, having a place like this is the epitome of "pillar of the community". My go to spot for great, inexpensive food. The service is fairly quick. The Club sandwich, breakfast burrito, and fried zucchini never disappoints.

Wow talk about CHEAP eats and good food! We ended up here for breakfast on a whim not wanting to wait 45 minutes plus on a Sunday at other breakfast spots around town. Pete's Blue Chip didn't disapoint. They serve breakfast until 12pm. Breakfast burritos all day (They close early at 4:30pm). This place is more of a hamburger greasy-spoon joint that does mostly take-out and has a drive-thru. There is a small inside seating area as well; and CLEAN! Pete's place was established in 1971 and it seems like the prices didn't change with the times, lol. It's seriously cheap eats here. I'm definitely a fan of their food, service, and prices. *sm parking in the back or street. **CASH and PLASTIC OK.

I always love eating at Pete's blue chips. Their western burgers are delicious. Also there is horchata for refills.

My all time fave breakfast burrito is soyrizo & egg! I also love their Pico! I have to ask for 4! Been coming here for yrs! Call ahead though... save everyone time. But so worth it!

My husband and I absolutely love Pete's. We've been coming here together for years (my husband since he was a teenager!) No one works as hard as Effie. She has a heart of gold and keeps the place running so efficiently. Not to mention all the customers she knows by name/order. It's a nice cozy place to have a cup of coffee and a breakfast burrito while you do a cross word.

An Eagle Rock Staple! Growing up here, I have had Pete's countless times. It's a family favorite. Love coming by and seeing locals enjoying the family friendly atmosphere and ambience. We Usually order the Blue Chip combo but today wanted to get some breakfast. Had the Breakfast burrito with pancakes (for just an extra $2!) quite a bang for your buck. The staff is extremely friendly. During Covid, they actually sold us EGGS and GROCERIES from the window as they were in high demand in early 2020 when "quarantine" was a novelty. Truly so caring for the community. Will continue to come as much as I can.

You want a great burger? They have it! Delicious gyro in soft pita bread? Got it! How about a burrito that'll easily feed two? Yep, right here. Always delicious, always friendly staff, always quick and fresh.

Burgers and zucchini sticks are my go to. Charbroiled burgers are yummy and side of ranch to compliment the zucchini is pretty delish! Breakfast also good!

I got the double cheeseburger. It was a lot of good quality meat and trimmings at a reasonable price. It is juicy and wet, though - bring your own bib. I skipped the fries and got the side of beans. The 'side' of beans was a heaping large bowl of slightly spicy kidney beans. If the Donner Party had just had one of these bowls of beans they would have made it through the winter ok. Thumbs up for a venerable locally owned restaurant.

I've been going to Pete's for quite awhile and this is the first time I had mediocre service. We went to have breakfast burritos like we normally do. We got our order so we thought only to find out it was the wrong order. The owner informs us we got the wrong burritos was rude about it then started to take the plate away as I was about to take another bite if the burrito. She reprimanded.the server in front of her customers. We felt terrible for our server. First you don't attempt to remove the plate from the customer second you don't embarrass your staff in front of customers. I was informed by a customer she's threatened her staff by saying it's coming out of there tips. Her staff can go to the labor board and report it. Not sure I'll be going back. If I could I wouldn't even give this place a one star

so sad that this place closes earlier than before but it is always don't to come and get a bag of fries every now and then. the service was great, they were very attentive to my table and asking if I needed anything. the ambiance felt like a family home and was fun to be in.

Weird because I could've swore I left a review about this place the last time I was in Eagle Rock in November. Anyways that was my first time trying Petes and I went for the Blue Chip Burger with fries and a corndog. Man, let me tell you that the burger was really good! It was nice a big with a couple patties and really hit the spot so well I had to come here again the next time. Now I just tried the food again today, this time going for the Bacon & Egg Breakfast Burrito with added sausage and another Blue Chips Burger which was tasty and great but the breakfast burritos were huge as well and so filling in a good way!! I will be back for both. Absolutely delicious food. The prices are cheap and affordable. Certain breakfast items like breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos are served all day. They close at 4:30 though. Love this place already!

The Bacon Avocado burger was very delicious. Lots of crispy bacon. We ate inside and the service was very fast.

This Petes Blue Chip burger located in the city of eagle rock is a total rip off. I recommending going to TROYS Burgers located in eagle rock on YORK Blvd because they don't rip off their customers or make your meals in partials not caring that your meal has went cold before you get your fries **Totally over priced and plus they charge 75cent for transaction fee on top of your bill. They will often give your meal "in partials" so half of your meal will get COLD while the other half is being made for the drive thru to-go orders so you will wait and wait until they will give the rest of your meal in partials. When you're paying $18 to $22 per meal and you're getting your meal in partials which I have seen other customers screaming at the cooks and staff and nothing ever changes but the staff and cooks will give dirty looks and will give the complaining customers an Attitude. You should be giving your complaining customers a "discount" because half of your meal is COLD and while still making the other sides of the combo or other meals of the order. I would have fired all those cooks and staff for giving customers "INCOMPLETE" meals making customers upset and paying very high priced food. A Burrito or burger with fries and a drink = $18 plus the 75cent transaction fee + sales tax = $20 dollars for just one meal. Your cooks and staff shouldn't be bring out the meals in partials one at a time while waiting and waiting for fries or onion rings to be made after your meal has went COLD. If you get Onion rings instead fries for your combo meal they charge you $2.50 cents more for the combo which they only give you 8 to 10 onion rings. So each onion is about $50 cents per onion ring Why are you charging $2.50 on top of the combo $5.00 price to only get 8 to 10 onion rings? its a rip off stop ripping off your customers geez

The prices are similar to Troy's drive in but the breakfast meats are much better here. Troy's has better hash browns. The food here is delicious and they play 90's music via Sirius xm. This place is really cool.

Husband and I only have excellent things to say about their food. They make the tastiest burger and the fries are to die for. I recommend everyone to try this place first and you won't regret it. Except for the delivery service. I don't recommend Grubhub. My husband and I are both disabled and we've left them specific instructions where to deliver the food. Twice they did not follow instructions. I will not be using Grubhub again.

Cheese burgers are okay, bunch of lettuce, tons of pickles & 2 large tomatoes, soggy buns. Healthy portion, but sloppy mess. Fries were salty AF & the young guy at the Drive thru window had a shitty attitude. Hole in the wall burger spot similar to a Jim's Burgers. Crazy how much a cheeseburger combo is w/ a small coke $14.24 is pricey. Won't be coming back here and these prices is how you go out of business. Smh no need to comment manager. Keep paying Yelp to keep your stars up.

I love this place,first of all the cooks are super amazing and fast! I usually order the Steak Quesadilla,Wich is full of flavor.!!!We went the other route today and order the Blue Chip burgers for three.. The burgers were fresh and tasty ,with all the right ingredients!!!! Mouthwatering!!!! My son's loved it!!!! I also order a side of Onion Rings,with a must side of ranch, delicious!!!They gave me a generous portion,thanks!!!!We enjoy every one of the onion rings and I couldn't stop myself from indulging in their crisp delicious perfect onion flavour!!!! I wanted so badly to love this place. So badly. I really do not want to judge it solely on the breakfast burrito I had, but I really cannot bring myself to want to try anything else because of it. I ordered the bacon and egg breakfast burrito and it was exactly what you would want out of a breakfast burrito, big and hearty. The only problem was that it didn't really taste like anything, the potatoes, the eggs, they had not been seasoned. It was very hard to eat something that was just so... potatoey and I love potatoes. It honestly just tasted like a big potato burrito with other textures from the egg, bacon and cheese but no added flavor from them. Definitely disappointing.

Amazing burritos! Can't go wrong with their breakfast burritos they're all so yummy. They're big too. Their veggie burrito is bomb. The red sauce makes them taste even better. The employees have always been nice when I've stopped by as well. If you're wondering if you should finally try this place, this is your sign to stop by!

Every time we do a on line order, they seem to mess it up. For instance, right now I just ordered a double burger with no cheese. Guess what it came with cheese. They don't know how to read tickets.

$37 for 2 burgers, drinks, and fries plus $0.75 charge to use a credit card. Hell no. On top of that the drive thru broke down while I was using it. What a dump. This place is way too sad and neglected to earn the right to charge upscale restaurant prices. See you never.

Vegetarian burrito was great an big enough for 2 people to split. Good salsa. Wish they had a small version of the burrito bc I wanted to try the onion rings. A little expensive.

Generous portions and friendly staff. We had the Gyro plate and a Gyro sandwich. The plate came with a salad, fries, onion rings and fried zucchini with ranch dipping sauce. Plenty for two adults and we even had to take some home. We will definitely be back soon.

We've been going to Pete's Blue Chip for about 26 years and we've never been disappointed with their hamburgers, breakfast burritos and other things. They rarely make any errors when ordering takeout and the staff is generally very cordial. Give them a try.

UPDATE: they take credit cards now! YAY! no more running to the bank or ATM. the gal at the window said there's a fee (0.35 or 0.50 i forget) if the charge is less than 10$.

Ordered a couple of breakfast burritos and it was delicious!!!!!!! I ate the bacon and egg breakfast burrito and I was satisfied. Giant portions! You could even split one with a friend, but if you are hungry by all means eat it all! They provided tons of fresh salsa and hot sauce without me asking! They even offer drive thru Plenty of free parking Dining in is not available due to covid.

I use to come here with my mom before she passed because she used to come here with her mom. I remember really liking it and then being sad when I heard they closed but I guess that wasn't the case because I came to grab dinner with my dad tonight to escape the heat. They close at 8:00 so when we arrived at 7:30 I was a little skeptical because I didn't want to keep them here too late, the drive thru was busy so we decided to stay. We ordered a pastrami combo and a fish and chips combo. My dad's pastrami combo came out quickly and looked good, mine came out shortly after and that didn't seem to be the case. It was two pieces of burnt fish and a stack of fries. My dad said to complain but I decided to eat them anyway. I had to peel away the burnt exterior and eat the inside instead. It did the job but I'm disappointed in the quality. Another thing I want to add is that the man who took our order wasn't friendly and made a comment like "why did people keep ordering, can't they see we want to leave". I understand wanting the work day to be over but maybe don't say it at a volume patrons can hear.

Came here with my girlfriend and did the drive thru and got our food really quick! Food - I ordered the number #1 Pete's blue chip special. In the 20+ years I've been coming here, I have never ordered anything else.. the half melted cheese, the raw crunchy onion, the fresh shredded lettuce, their secret sauce is everything you want in a double char burger. The burger in no way feels greasy. The fries - soft, sizzling, well seasoned, everything else that you need paired with a burger. I recommend this place, not only for the nostalgic I have but it's a tasty burger. Every bite brings back me memories of sitting in the booth my Dad. I hope to bring my kids here one day as its a special place to me to enjoy good food.

A long running establishment in Eagle Rock that has been ran by the same family that cares about the community and the consistency of their food. I've been coming here since I was a kid and the food taste the same. Always good. Always a smile and a wave from the owner.

THIS IS THEEE BEST PLACE TO COME AND HAVE BREAKFAST, LUNCH, OR DINNER!! All of the food is made when ordered, all of the ingredients is high quality, AND THE SERVICE IS HIGH QUALITY!!! I've been working in the area, and myself and the guys love coming to eat here! Everything is priced waaay to fair lol... almost unbelievable you can get a quality meal without it denying your pockets!!! Take the time to get to know the people who work here!! Great place! I ordered the #1 Blue Chip combo and I usually don't order a double cheeseburger because it's too much food for me but this was perfect. The sauce, sliced lettuce and just everything was delicious. The combo also comes with a drink and fries and whatever seasoning they had on the fries was amazing. Def recommend this place if you're in the area and craving a juicy burger!

Great place for fast food! It's been since 2005 I have been a patron of this location. Thank You for satisfying my sons craving with the western burger. Well I'm not sure it's that name anymore.
