"The name is a diminutive version of ‘petrichor’ – which refers to the lovely scent that accompanies rain after a warm period – and there’s a similarly pleasant cosiness to the restaurant itself, thanks to its charming, intimate atmosphere. The set menu follows the seasons, with produce that’s only available in smaller batches offered as optional extra courses, such as pork from Rosa Skattlådan with fermented berries and rose petals. Dishes are well thought out in their creativity, showcasing a good understanding of balance and flavour, while wine and homemade non-alcoholic pairings complete the package." - Michelin Inspector

The 38 Best Restaurants in Stockholm, Sweden | Eater

"Before opening Petri in 2020, chef Petter Nilsson ran Les Trois Salons in Uzès, France, and La Gazetta in Paris. Those years of experience are clear at Petri. Nilsson’s cooking is gentle and refined, yet brave and unorthodox. Expect artfully simple dishes, many accented by a series of rich broths, which the restaurant makes from the whole animals it sources. Nilsson also runs the cafe at prestigious interior design boutique Svenskt Tenn." - Per Styregård

Psst, don’t tell a lot of people, because this is among the best restaurants of Stockholm. Or just do it, because they deserve the recognition! The diner at Petri was on top-level, with some extraordinary dishes passing the table. From west-coast Langoustine with a ‘chawanmushi’ like cream, and cauliflower. The reduction/bouillon used in the dish, having the langoustine-typical-sweetness. A stunning preparation of satay’d beetroot, being both caramelized on one side as well as soft on the other side of the same piece. Combine with a hollandaise so airy, and spinach to give well greenness. Pasta à pont al dente, with the majestical Perigord truffel and collagen rich pork stew. Red mulled grilled to perfection, with the sea urchin embracing. And then we came to snuff the rooster! Very happy to see it in the menu, and has been prepared very respectfully. Crispy skin, breast & thigh both having a different preparation, all other parts also nicely used. And dessert; executing a soufflé (from pumpkinseeds with mandarin ice-cream) to perfection, that is absolute world-class craftsmanship. It was crispy, yes crispy soufflé! Apart for some dishes, I have also forgotten the service, but not without a reason. They are also part of the recognition. Very well known in the wine list, very pleasant way and friendly approach. Do you dare to keep a secret, or can’t you? You choose!

This restaurant sets a new standard for fine dining. The langoustines were absolutely divine, some of the best I've ever had. And their specialty dessert with pears? Simply exquisite! What truly sets this place apart is the creativity of the dishes yet as always respecting every ingredient to exhaust their flavors. The charming staff and great service just add to the overall excellence.

Superb experience. Refined design and cozy atmosphere, extremely warm and professional service (thank you Nina), and absolutely outstanding menu - from start to finish, every course was creative and beautifully presented, with great balance of flavors and textures. Can't wait to go back :).

Perhaps the most underrated fine dining restaurant in Stockholm. Utterly delicious and original dishes using great ingredients, a well curated wine list, and nice service. The people there are just lovable and we always leave with a promise to come back again - which we do quite a lot.

It is expensive, so don't expect "a deal". Now that that's clear, enjoy the beautifully crafted and delicious menu. Very nice staff in a very cozy place. It almost feels like you're having dinner at home with a high class personal service. Amazing mix of flavors, great creations and original ideas. WOLO, so if you're in Stockholm, visit this place.

Visited december 2023. Had Petrichor and pairing (half with alcohol and half without). The food was generally more of interesting kind rather than that all the food was super tasty. I did not find the pairing too good as one drink was paired to two dishes (not specified for certain dish). The staff was friendly, but did not have the same level of professionalism shown in other restaurant with same price ranges. The restaurant had simple and modern interior. It could be noisy some times.

What a great experience! Chill fine-dining vibe, friendly service, a fun and tasty selection of some fantastic dishes. All of them absolutely top shelf: I remember the three amazing starter snacks, the lobster with black root, and the sabayonne covered (second) dessert especially. But everything was awesome. And the wine pairings were simply excellent. The spätburgunder and the macvin stands out especially. Already looking forward to coming back to this gem of a place!!
