Sensational food, every dish was a bomb of flavours. What I liked is that it’s still local Greek dishes but with a twist of modern and elegant. The dolmades melted in my mouth. The chickpeas were so good that we ended up ordering a second portion. And the slowcooked beef on top of Greek pasta was a standout classic. We paid around 90€ for two which is expensive for Athens but a bargain compared to some other European capitals. Staff were ok, nothing special, perhaps because we spoke English. Service was ok, not too quick; it felt like they have a concept of service a dish at a time. We would have preferred having all the dishes at once. Atmosphere is very young and vibrant as there is a DJ in the restaurant and the music is pretty loud. You don’t come here for a full on conversation. Overall the food was stunning and I think this restaurant could get a Michelin star soon.

The meal here was delightful, from the Horta Vrasta with Manouri cheese to the sausages & beef cheeks with Skioufichta pasta. The galaktoboureko was spot on , not overly sweet and perfectly balanced. It’s a place I’d gladly revisit. That said, the table timing reminder given upon entry not a good impression; felt a robotic & unintentionally unwelcoming

I wanted so much time to visit the restaurant, the atmosphere was great, nice crowd. The food was amazing all plates we tried was tasty. The service were good, fast, smily, and new everything about the food. Last night It was a participation with a cocktail bar where they had 4 cocktails only for the day. The cocktails wasn't good at all! Average in taste, presentation and quantity. Their own cocktails were much much better. *Regarding the food was 5 stars the cocktails were 2 stars thats the reason of 4 stars in food.

I really get the hype. Is trendy, the service is good, the food is tasty and the music is on point. Quite big portions and fusion Greek food. A bit spenny for Greece I have to say..other than that is great, go!

We saved this restaurant for our last night in Athens and it was definitely the best decision to end the trip on a high note. The food was absolutely amazing, and the wine selection was even better. The atmosphere was so charming, and every single detail was on point. The staff were kind and friendly throughout. I honestly wish I lived in Athens just so I could go there more often and eat those unbelievably delicious langoustines and no words for the galaktompoureko mmmmmm (I hope I spelled it right, photo attached x)!!! Sitting at the counter is a must but if you’re by the fire side, be ready to get roasted. Still, it’s all part of the experience :)

Such nice atmosphere, good vibes and thoughtful interior. Live DJ, and even though the music was loud, you could still have a conversation. The service was very helping, nice and in a good mood. The food selection as well as the wine were delicious. Will definitely come back when in Athens.

We did the tasting menu and sat at the kitchen counter. Our experience was amazing, the service was top notch and the food got better with every course. We loved watching the chefs prepare each meal in the kitchen. Everything they cooked looked amazing, we wanted to try everything! I would absolutely recommend!!

A cool restaurant with a great vibe and good food, but sadly our experience undermined. We loved the style, vibe and decor of Pharaoh. The extension of the resturant bar including vinyl decks, to the kitchen counter creates an atmosphere of informal interaction between the chefs, bar staff, DJ, waiting staff, and guests. It is great. The food was good, but did not meet expectations, especially within the strong Athens food scene. However highlights included the horta, chestnut and onion stew and grilled manouri. We ate at the counter, on a corner as we were four. However our conversation needed to battle with the sound system. Which made it harder work as a dinner experience. The biggest let down was the service. During the meal it was ok. Possibly due to language, as i only speak English, the explanation of food was limited. In contrast, the sommelier was particularly good, walking us through the wine list (as my knowledge of Greek wine is limited) plus she offered samples, to bring the wine list to life. However on paying the good experience unravelled. The waitress was unable to split the 196 euro bill between the four of us. The manager was called and requested we only split by two. I simply did not understand why we cannot split it by four, as we do everywhere else in the world. And worst of all, we were made to feel that we were being difficult. We eventually backed down and split the bill into two. Such a shame. A sad end to an otherwise lovely evening.
