Phat Daddy's on Da Tracks

Food was great! Also the homemade cakes, especially the chocolate with brownie made by chef is now top on my best desserts-not super sugary and very flavorful! And make sure you donate towards their feeding hungry efforts of you can, sharing is caring!!

A rare find in Charleston, WV. A picture says a thousand words, so I attach quite a few photos for your viewing pleasure. The pleasure was indeed all ours, with delicious food on every corner of the plate. Catfish with the Broccoli/MacCheese and Whiting with the Greens/BakedBeans. I haven’t had such food since my Daddy had fish fry’s when he was still with us. Bless these people for their food and friendliness, and y’all go bless them with your patronage, please.

The food was so delicious! The pork was so tender, the cabbage exquisite, the rice yummy. The chicken was awesome! The bbq sauce tangy and delicious. The service was exceptional. We ate outside with our dog in the beautiful spacious outdoor area. We were driving through Charleston en route to Shenandoah and this was such a treat! Exceeded all of our expectations!

Stopped here on a whim for an early (1030am) lunch and so glad we did! Husband and I were very impressed! The atmosphere alone is fantastic. The food was delicious! The owners/staff is great. All smiles and very nice! We will absolutely be back!!

We had an amazing experience at Phat Daddy’s on Da Tracks in Charleston, WV! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish we ordered was packed with flavor. We tried the steak bowl, fish bowl, salmon cakes, and shrimp bowl, and we couldn’t pick a favorite—they were all that good. The mac and cheese bites were next-level comfort food!

Absolutely delicious bbq. My ribs were tender, juicy, just crispy enough on the outside and the sauce that came with them was perfect. Loved the fries as well. A welcoming restaurant with a kind and helpful staff. I'd be back next time in the area.

The service alone is enough for me to want to go back. I had the fried catfish with Mac and cheese and broccoli. Everything was seasoned well.

This food is worth every step it takes "off the beaten path" of downtown dining. Plenty of free parking and worth your time to seek out. Pro tip: the board next to the entrance lists any menu items that may be out, which is helpful because so many things are popular here. Broccoli Rice balls are a sleeper, ribs are great, you can't miss on the Phat Daddy Dog, or the chopped cheese. Ive even had an excellent shrimp bowl, and chicken Caesar wrap. Any patience it may take for your food to come out is rewarded with freshness and flavor.

Came here HUNGRY after spending 4 hours on the road. We had tried to eat at another spot nearby but forgot about the holiday; perhaps it was a blessing in disguise because Phat Daddy's was Delicious! The area nearby and the restaurant itself is a lil rundown, but don't let that scare you. The staff were incredibly friendly and it felt like we were having dinner at a family cookout. Food came out in less than 5 minutes, which was great for our hungry stomachs. I went with the pulled pork sandwich (made from pork butt!!) and oh my lord it was so tender!! It just pulled apart so easily and was nice and sweet with that sauce. Fries had a nice Cajun seasoning and had the right amount of crispiness. I'm sad that we were only passing through cuz I'd love to come back and try some more of their food! This place is definitely worth checking out, and if you're local I'm so jealous!

Had a fantastic experience in late November of 2024. Brisket was delicious and their wings are amazing. The owner greeted us kindly and the service was excellent.

Wow!! The food, prices and service were great! We were greeted in the parking lot by a gentleman who saw we had our dogs with us. He was amazing. He told us we could go in the other side of the building and bring our dogs. It was outdoor seating and was perfect for our dogs and little girl to expend some energy which was much needed as we were on a 12 hour trip home. The ribs, Phat Dog (hot dog w/ chili cheese), even the kids pizza and all the sides were great. Based on the hospitality alone I would go back but combined with the great food we will keep this on our list to stop back whenever passing through. Thank you for a great experience.

Wow!!! Fan-friggin-tastic! Will absolutely be making this joint a regular! The food was amazing! Great flavor, great portions! Service was ridiculously fast and friendly. The place is clean and easily accessible! Will recommend it to everyone!

This is a great restaurant! We had the brisket and it was full of great smoky flavor. And the slaw was delicious. The restaurant is very clean and staff was kind and helpful. We also had our dog with us and they have a great fenced-in outdoor seating area where she could run around a bit. We are traveling thru Charleston but we will stop again next time in town.

Excellent food, it's the small places like this that I really enjoy. Truly a place that is a must stop and try if never been.

I found this hidden little gem while passing through Charleston, WV. Hardly bigger than a food truck and tucked away off the beaten path next to some railroad tracks, I wasn't sure what to think. I looked at the menu and saw "Rosemary Ribs". I love rosemary and hadn't heard of it cooked into ribs, I was stunned! Oh dear lord, those fall off the bone ribs were incredible! Paired with delicious onion rings and amazing baked beans, I was sucker punched. I haven't had that fantastic of a meal in a long time. Four hours from my home in North Carolina, I would seriously consider the drive just to have lunch here again. If you're ever passing through Charleston, WV, make sure you follow your GPS to Phat Daddy's on the Tracks. It's not far off of the interstates and more than well worth the detour!!!

I'm a long time fan of phat daddies, and their ribs just keep getting better with time. Any night the weather allows you to be outside, you wanna be at Phat Daddies!

The brisket was amazingly delicious and the service was equally as great. The restaurant has recently recently been remodeled inside and looks fantastic.

Really good service and tasty food. Love the hotdogs and fresh cut fries. ask for a side of their homemade slaw! Everything we have tried here is extremely fresh tasting and clearly made with love :) really cool spot, can't wait to come here and eat on the patio when it warms up!

First time to Phat Daddy's. Got the Cbopped chicken Sandwich with thick cut fries. My friend got the Chopped Cheese (steak and cheese sandwich) and fries. food was great. service was great. definitely will be returning. maybe for dinner tonight.

Tried the Steak rice bowl. It was okay, but not really outstanding. The place is nice, and obviously well liked. Service was good, and I felt valued as a customer... was busy on a Tuesday night.

My whole family loved this place. The service was spectacular but the food oh my goodness it was delicious. The brisket, ribs and salmon patties were so good. We can't wait to go back. Next time we will dine on their deck! Thank you Phat Daddy's!

I can't comment on the quality of the food as I've never been able to eat here. Stopped by once at the old location and they were closing up (earlier than what was advertised). Tried another time and they weren't open. Tried again Friday night, website says open until 9. Called to confirm girl said yes they are open until 9. Placed an online order at 8:20 for 2 dinners (over $40), received a confirmation text, then a minute later got a text saying my order was cancelled (after the money was charged to me). I called and the lady answered and said nothing but "We are closed". I told her the situation and that I had called and she said who told you that and named someone, I have no idea who told me that. She said they are open until 9 but stop taking orders at 8. This should have been specified on their website. Not sure I will attempt again. I love trying new places and supporting small businesses but this doesn't seem to be in the cards, and I'm still waiting on my refund as well (says will take 3 days) :(
