Phil and Anne's Good Time Lounge is inviting as soon as you walk in. Many of the staff are lively and welcoming, whereas some are the complete opposite. It's a small and narrow floor plan. The decor is clean and modern. Tables are tight and face the open kitchen. The bar is beautiful and seats look comfortable. We both ordered cocktails, sadly I forgot to take photo of descriptions. I had the 8th deadly sin, a balance of tequila, mezcal and some other ingredients. I explained to server I was not a great fan of mezcal due to smoky flavor, but the description enticed me. She said the smoke was not apparent because the balance of other ingredients.  So I took a chance, unfortunately, the smoke was very evident and at first very off-putting to me. Next time I'll have something different. My mom had the whiskey based cocktail.  Well it was a moss whiskey, needless to say her cocktail was smokier than mine! The menu is designed in a light, medium, heavy format. I had wanted to split one item from each column but it didn't work out. We shared the Focaccia with Housemade Ricotta and Pistachio Pesto, from the light column. It was delicious and we wished there was more Focaccia! The textures were amazing. The foccacia was so soft and perfect. The ricotta was rich and lucious, the flavor was great! The pesto didn't blow me away as I thought it might. I couldn't distinguish a pistachio flavor either. We then ordered two items under the heavy column. My mom had the Dry Rubbed Ribeye with Potato Bacon Fontina Cake and Grilled Broccoli Rabe. I had a piece of the Ribeye, we'll I kept it for my very last bite! The flavors and amazing mouth feel were hypnotizing! I ordered the Brined Pork Chop with Soft Polenta Cake with Shell Beans, Pancetta and Broccoli. It was a good dish but the pork was too dry. This affected the enjoyment of dish. It was good but not wowing. Dessert was next. We each ordered an item. Mom choose the Cherry Crostata with sweet mascarpone. It was tasty but not as good as the Tarralluci with salted caramel. I was curious as to what the  tarralluci were. Once I saw them I was familiar with these cookies. (See photo) These cookies were fantastic! So much so I took some home for seconds! The perfect crunch,  buttery flavor and the sugar top was fantastic. They were my favorite of the night! I  had a cappuccino with dessert and it was not great. I left the best for last. We were blessed with Anne Burrell being there this night. She was gracious and kind to my mom for being a huge fan. Overall I have to say prices are higher than I expected but I want to return to try other items I'm curious about.

Phil and Anne have hit it out of the park with their newest venture. Good Times lounge stays true to its name with its bustling, energetic atmosphere and friendly restaurant goers. As you walk in, you are greeted by a 30 person sitting area near the towering bar full of almost every liquor imaginable. The hostess station is right beyond that where you are seated for the restaurant. There is a semi private smaller room in the back if you'd like to be tucked away from the action. Otherwise almost every other table sits right in front of the open kitchen. There are even a few seats, bar style looking right into where the culinary delights are prepared. I need to go back for another few visits before I try everything on the menu, but the things I tried were nothing short of amazing. We started with the in house made ricotta cheese served with foccacia bread and a pistachio mix on top. Tasty, creamy, salty, and delicious. Next we had the Kale Caesar Salad. It is served with shaved parmesan all over with croutons and a few whole anchovies. The dressing was creamy and perfect. Next up was the pizzetta which is a mini pizza with spicy sausage, hot cherry peppers and arugula. Wow. Crispy dough, and just enough spice from the hot peppers. This was my favorite so far, but then came The Burger. From the sesame seeded bun, to the diced sautéed onions and sliced pickles, to the double pattie, cooked medium, smothered in American cheese and ketchup and mustard. This burger had it going on. Not to mention, it is served with crispy, crunchy tater tots. Holy smokes. We finished off with the Korean style short ribs. The meat was tender and the tangy, red paste that it is served on was incredible. It came with a side of pickled vegetables. The dessert menu looked great, although we didn't have any room for dessert. There is a nice wine and beer selection including tap and bottled beer. Can't wait unti Phil and Anne's own brew is on tap. Overall, this restaurant is a gem with a fun atmosphere and great food. Best to go with a bunch of friends and order everything on the menu and pick until your heart is content. It is a great addition to Smith Street. Can't wait to go back!

Steak was overcooked, but seasoned well. Fish was a tad dry, but also tasty. Amazing appetizers. We had the cauliflower steak and kale Caesar salad. Service was good. Atmosphere nice. A bit too overpriced for the execution of the recipes I am afraid.

Was excited to try this new spot, but it was disappointing. Came for dinner with wife and young daughter. We all split the ribs, pizzetta and fried pickles which all were "eh" at best. Cocktails were a miss sadly as well. For the price and star chef appeal we expected more. I'm giving them three stars instead of four as we had a very awkward exchange with our server around food for our daughter. Why comment on a baby having organic baby food in a pouch? I know they hoped we'd give them another try, but the service was so painfully awkward, and the food mediocre, that I can't imagine coming back.

Wow! Walked into this beautiful resto after a stroll on adorable Smith st. The place glows from the street and just invites you in. I like to sit at the bar which is busy but feels relaxed and not cramped. The food is SUPER fun and delicious. Chef Anne has composed a menu that has familiar items that are done in a contemporary and sophisticated way. The food is SO WELL DONE its obvious a master chef is behind it all. I really love the way the menu is organized into small, medium and large plates which makes sharing fun based on how hungry you are. I’d recommend it all but we had the meatballs, califlower steak and pork chops and I’m still dreaming of them. I have never tasted pork chops THAT good and Chef told us the secret is brining them for 3 days!!! They were meaty and tender and had a crust that was unforgettable. A great choice for friends get- together, a date and family dinner or brunch.

Seriously, I did not get the menu at this place. The food was very casual bistro, gastropub fare and some the prices were in the 30's which in this neighborhood implies fine dining which it was not. Nothing stood out although the grilled cheese was tasty. Pigs in a blanket were undercooked and I told them and they did nothing. They were going through teething pains in the kitchen and I hope it gets better and the prices reflect the food.

Good service, cute dining area...good food, drinks, and atmosphere ...good goat cheese cheesecake. The menu is good...but, needs a better selection of desserts...the cookies lack taste/not good at all. Nice place to eat! However, I wouldn't intentionally travel to BK to dine there...only if I'm in the area.

Great food, and very courteous and attentive staff. The atmosphere feels a little like a sports bar with big screen TVs, but the back room is somewhat secluded and ideal for groups. Highly recommended.
