The Best Philly Cheesesteaks In Atlanta

"The name of this Cheshire Bridge spot signals they know their strengths. Skip past the sauce heavy “pizza steak” with mozzarella cheese and marinara (which isn't one of them), and go straight for the original Philly cheesesteak, which is a triumph. After ordering yours, watch as they chop steak on the griddle behind the counter, adding seasoning, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and cheese with a level of care we always wished we would've given our Tamagotchis. Their slow and steady style comes through in the taste—the meat is tender and moist and the veggies grilled to soft but not mushy doneness. " - juli horsford

Philly Cheesesteak Place - Review - Midtown - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Old Atlanta will remember when the original Philly Cheesesteak Place opened in Ansley Mall in 1972. Their current location, in a shopping plaza off Cheshire Bridge, sits at the end of a downhill slope and is easy to miss unless you already know it’s there. But the new location keeps its OG charm with a handful of tables and several faded food posters that look as if they’ve been hanging since the ‘70s. But the older decor isn’t a reflection of the cheesesteak, which is why you should be here in the first place. They're cooked slowly (but with love) on a lone griddle behind the order counter. That means the wait time is a little longer than usual, but we don’t care when our extra cheesy cheesesteak comes out hot with freshly grilled, chopped steak bits on warm bread that stays firm from the first bite to the last." - Juli Horsford

Philly Cheesesteak Place is a no-frills, counter eatery celebrating the sandwich (specializing in hoagies, cheesesteaks, and burgers). The eatery is located in Morningside’s Cheshire Pointe Shopping Center, located at the intersection of Cheshire Bridge and Faulkner Roads and MARTA-accessible via the 27 bus. During a recent DoorDash, my husband was craving a cheesesteak, and we had been meaning to give the neighborhood eatery a try. He ordered the regular Cheese Chicken Cheesesteak, with chicken, grilled onions, and cheese. I ordered a small Meatball Parmesan Sandwich with meatballs, pizza sauce, provolone, and parmesan cheese and add-ins of pepperoni and sweet peppers. Both sandwiches were super craveable, had ample amounts of protein and cheese, and were well seasoned. I was really curious about other menu items, so I visited the eatery a week later to order a cheeseburger, chicken tenders, and fries. I knew the cheeseburger would be tasty once I saw the owner/cook chopping up ribeye on a flat-top in an eatery whose minimalist decor took a page from a prior decade. The food is cooked to order, and the owner wears all of the hats (cashier, cook, and expediter), so prepare to wait (it's worth it)! There is seating available; however, the restaurant does way more to-go orders. After eating one of the better cheeseburgers I have had in Atlanta, I brought the chicken tenders home to my husband, who had just received a food delivery. After having one bite, my husband abandoned his original meal and devoured the chicken tenders. The fries were well seasoned, but I will ask the owner to make them crispier on my next visit.

Google
Original Cheesesteak was not the best cheesesteak I've ever had but was a bare bones solid cheesesteak - soft bread, meat, cheese, and onions. Fries were crinkle-cut and perfectly sprinkled with fry salt, and the garden salad included parmesan and black pepper. Food items were reasonably priced and I would definitely come back. Reasonable wait time - 10-15 mins with the restaurant being pretty dead at lunch time when I went. Finally, the atmosphere reminded me of an Italian restaurant from the 80s or 90s - I loved it!

Google
I'm thinking it's the best. Philly cheesesteak place in Atlanta. The owner's great. The prices are great! The food is awesome. I talked to some people that were waiting for their food and they drove up from 45 minutes away and they do it all the time and take home extra for the next meal which is what I did.

Google
The cheesesteak was pretty decent, fries were well seasoned, service was lovely. I liked it. Edit: Upgraded my 4 stars to 5 after comparing Philly Cheesesteak Place to another cheesesteak restaurant. It's been a very long time since I had an authentic cheesesteak (the Weeyums closest to me had closed, sad face) and I needed to find a spot that I can visit regularly. Anywho, the meat to cheese ratio at this restaurant is definitely my preference. Everything sort of melts in your mouth and they don't overdo the meat with seasonings. It's classic, it's creamy, it's simple, it's solid. They get extra points for being around the corner from my favorite Mexican restaurant as well.

Google
We ordered during after the playoffs so it was totally dead. Wasn't even sure they were open until we opened the door. The place feels ripped out of a mall from the 80's considering the faded sign, ads on the wall and low lighting. There was no music but the highlights were on tv. We made small talk with the cashier and ordered a regular with fries. And I gotta say the sandwich was surprisingly solid. And the price was right since I split it with a buddy. I'd for sure give it another shot. Delicious cheesesteak.

Great service, great food, and clean restaurant.

Google
Feels just like home. Idk what these other folks talking about the place dirty and drinks flat (which you could’ve got a bottle you idiot), but this is exactly how the Philly spots up north look like. So if you ain’t from up north your opinion on atmosphere don’t matter. The owner the sweetest guy ever with a heart of gold and made my food fresh. I don’t mind waiting on food cause at least I know it’s gonna be done right. Once I got home I took a bite out of my mushroom cheesesteak and when I say it’s like that it’s like that. He definitely out did a lot of these other places ***cough Dave’s cough***. Will definitely be bringing my mom here since she was disappointed by the last spot I took her too. Will be back again.

Google
Cheshire Bridge is open! We stopped in during errands, and were pleasantly surprised. Prices are fair, portions are big, and everything we ate was high quality. (our table ordered various cheesesteaks and hot dogs, see photos fora mushroom steak w/extra cheese, and a philly dog. ) The owner/chef was very kind, generous and made our food pretty quickly. I'd suggest bottled drinks over the fountain. If we're in the area, we will eat here again- so should you!

Yelp
So I have seen this place before, years ago, but I've never stopped there until I do. It's a decent size shop, there are a couple of seats on the outside, but they have a lot of inside seating as well. The time when I went it was only one person there so it took a while so I can't put a nice him for my food taken that long because he was running a shot by himself. But he was still nice and friendly even though he was working solo here The environment isn't really flashy or anything like that. It's more a diner setup than actual restaurant but again, there's plenty of sitting either way it goes. I ended up getting to work. I mean I want to actually try the food that they're known for, which is a regular cheesesteak, but I guess I'm still an adventurous. So on my review I will put both of them and my opinion. The works was pretty good. It was a little bit dryer than I would have liked, but it wasnt bad. The flavor was different with the works, because of the cheese in the cheesesteak and the pizza sauce.... so this is why next time I would need to do the regular cheesesteak to see how that hits. But it will still be worth me giving it another shot!

Yelp
We came to the Philly Cheesesteak place on a Friday for lunch and it was not super busy and it looks kinda dumpy, but sometimes these can be the best places. I got the chicken Philly and it was not a disappointment. I also got the combo with fries and they were very good and the grease didn't taste old. The guy serving us seemed to be authentic and he was a little brash but I think he is just to the point no BS. The one thing I saw is the plain Philly cheesesteak meat seemed to be a "steakums" type of meat and not fresh. I think that is the only downside to this establishment. The cost was about on par with anything in Atlanta @36$ for two meals. I would recommend trying if you are in the area.

Yelp
Not a bad place for a quick bite to eat. This place is definitely a small business. I got the original Philly cheesesteak. Overall, it was a pretty good sandwich. The meal comes with fries and a drink. The price was about $17, which was a bit expensive in my opinion. Service was quick and owner seemed friendly. I would come again for a quick Philly cheesesteak, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice.

Yelp
My review is solely based on my experience. I came into the venue, ordered at the counter, and dined in. The venue is in the middle of a strip mall. There is plenty of parking. The owner was nice and took my order. Took about 10 minutes to get my food. The drink was good, the fries seasoned, and the sandwich decent. I wish there was more meat but the fluffy bread makes it decent. I will not return but I am not sad about the experience.

Yelp
Best place to get a Philly cheesesteak. Most people get them Togo but they have plenty of tables to dine there. They have the menu on the wall which also includes other items. They have fountain drink as as well as a cooler that has multiple choices.

Walker B.

Yelp
waste of money, the customer service was awful and the "gentleman" behind the counter had no problem taking out whatever issue he was having today of me. The food was no better than McDonald's please don't waste your money.

Yelp
Great food and great people.i reccomend this place to anyone in the Atlanta area.if you come make sure to get the southwestern Philly

Yelp
Philly Cheesesteak Spot: Savory Delight with a Minor Hiccup Indulging in a delicious cheesesteak with my partner was a satisfying experience, as we both savored the flavors. However, a hiccup arose when my order arrived with onions despite my no-onion request. The friendly, older gentleman handling the orders mitigated any frustration, and though the mishap slightly dampened the meal, I still managed to enjoy the overall tasty treat.

Yelp
If I could leave less than one star I would. Ordered from this place via DoorDash only to have two different drivers assigned. When the third driver arrives, the owner decides to yell at the dasher trying to find my order. He lets me know that the order was picked up even though I never received it. I then call the store to find out myself where the order is only to be yelled at by the owner who tells me that he doesn't want to listen to me about my order that was paid for. Won't be giving this place another opportunity to be rude and disrespectful. As a food service worker, this level of unprofessionalism and rudeness was uncalled for and unnecessary. Will NOT be ordering from them via DoorDash again. And the two drivers have been reprimanded through DoorDash as well.

Yelp
Philly cheese w/mushrooms is delicious. Plenty of steak, cheese and mushrooms. Generous serving of crinkle fries. Hot and fresh. Everything made to order

Nicholas S.

Yelp
Been here in person a few times, and ordered out a lot. The original cheesesteak is the best i've ever had, and their fries and mozzarella sticks aren't bad either. Not a great sit down place, but that's not what it's supposed to be. Would recommend for the great food.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
I really don't like giving one star reviews because I do believe in general that in their minds, the business owners are doing their best. However, in the case of cheesesteak place, the owner is doing as a little as possible to earn each sale. The food is old, the kitchen is filthy. The owner doesn't even wash his hands or wear gloves. Yuck. Even the Coke machine is messed up. It serves the warm soda Even the dining area has grime all over. If I thought he would give me a refund I would've asked for a refund, but I decided to not even go there and just toss my food. Don't waste your time.

Yelp
Who eats dry plain chicken fingers without sauce?! I specifically asked for sauces and didn't get any. The fries are absolute garbage. I've had better chicken fingers in school lunch rooms. Huge huge waste of time and money. Would pay to never eat here again
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered a fish combo $5.59 + $3.50 to add a fountain drink and fries. Couldnt get a bottled drink instead. If we would have it would have been a extra $1. My husband paid $4.69 for a small BLT. He was charged initial 6.69 for a large with out being asked what his choice was. Honestly, I didn't particularly care for the customer service. I do like that you can see them cooking your food. My husbands BLT only had one layer of bacon. I dont feel it's worth the money on that big sub. He only had 2 pieces of bacon. Update, on this. The food was not worth our time. We wont be going back here

Yelp
I had seen this place pop up on my maps before, but was hesitant to try for some reason. Pulled the trigger with some neighbors and we are all hooked!!! I regret not trying earlier! The way the meat cheese and onions are cooked together lead to a melt in your mouth perfection experience. Better bread than woodys in my opinion. Cheap prices, quickly made, yummy food, what more could you want?

Thomas K.

Yelp
Best Philly cheese steak in Atlanta. I was hesitant to go at fist after seeing only 3.5 stars, but I'm glad I went. The Original Philly is exactly what I've been looking for. Not only is the food good but the guy who works there was very polite and nice.

Keith B.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. I did not receive my full order and when he was told this by both me and the door dash driver the man went insane. He says he is the owner started yelling how the items were never ordered when they are clearly on the receipt, then started trying to claim door dash never ordered it and he wasn't told about the items even though they are on the receipt, then tried to blame the driver. Anything but admit his mistake and simply refund the difference in cost.
google avatar

Jessel C.

Yelp
WARNING! Stay away! Not only does the server not change gloves they make you pay for a combo... and then not give fries. Just a drink. Lots of reviews about the exact same things. And the coke we ordered was straight syrup. So disappointed because I almost didn't order from here because of reviews

Darryl Roberts ..

Yelp
Made me sick A coworker gave me half of her "Philly" Cheesesteak and two onion rings. I'm surprised my toilet still works, it ruined my stomach and sphincter for a whole evening.

Eddie K.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst cheesesteak I've ever had , took one bite and threw the rest away! I don't think you could even call that a cheesesteak, more like a cheeseonion sandwich with a tiny bit of steak or whatever the meat like substance was ! It was so bad I wouldn't even feed that to my dog. Obviously the last few reviews were fake!
google avatar

Ragland S.

Yelp
I was reading past reviews, and I don't know if the owner just need a little time to get himself together, but my sandwich was fantastic today. I love good Philly cheesesteaks and this place was great! I highly recommend it when you need some comfort food. My weapon of choice today was a mushroom cheesesteak with extra meat and extra cheese.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! The guy that makes the food/ owner (i'm guessing), is completely insane. I ordered from Uber eats and went to pick it up and he would not give me my correct order or reimburse me because uber does not pay him enough. This is THEFT!!! Honestly the food is not bad which is why i ordered, but will never ever go to this place again.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Honestly this was the closest to an honest Philly cheesesteak that I have had in Atlanta. It was made to order, hot, fresh, cheesy and delicious. I also was happy that my request for crispy fries was honored. For sure I would go back!
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Pretty good Little spot. Kinda pricey for a regular wing/sub place. 10 piece wings and small sub was about $18. Breaded wings were good and sub also.
google avatar

Marcus A.

Yelp
The steaks here are pretty dang good. Definitely hot, fresh and tasty. The man who works here is a little quirky and can make it a bit awkward to do business with. But nonetheless, I'm not ashamed to say I've come multiple times in a week because the food was just that good. Sadly I think I won't be returning. Another Yelper pointed out that the man doesn't ever change his gloves. Whether he's cooking your food, handling cash/cards or touching any and everything in the restaurant. I'm sure this man is the reason for COVID. Ugh, I'm hurt because the food hits. But nah, this is too nasty.

Nayeli M.

Yelp
TASTIEST ACCIDENT EVER!!! Stumbled upon this joint accidentally but WOW! The chef/cashier/owner/AMAZING human being served us up so quickly he had the BEST attitude and recommended my new favorite food the PHILLY CHEESESTEAK. Was pleasantly surprised with the incredible flavor and cheesy ness definitely a must try!!!

Yelp
This is one of the best phillycheesteak in Atlanta, it was delicious and big side of French fries

Yelp
No, I did not attend the DWI school next door, but I did have my vacuum fixed at Buckhead - Midtown Vacuum (also next door) and saw Philly Cheesesteak Place. I looked on Yelp for more info, of course. For me, I think the overall rating (3.5) is accurate. My take. ***** I. PARKING & LOCATION: This eatery resides in a really random strip mall off of Cheshire Bridge Road, next to (as I wrote above) a DWI school. Parking is plentiful, although, I'm not sure how packed it gets during the school's session. II. FOOD & DRINK: Like most Philly cheesesteak joints, you can ask for a basic cheesesteak and add mushrooms, peppers, and other delectables on top. I went with their a small "regular" (I forget the name) cheesesteak. The sub had thoroughly cooked rib eye and a tasty cheese (maybe white cheddar?) holding everything together. The meat was topped with pretty standard tomato and chopped lettuce, and everything was wedged in between soft sub bread. Aside from the cheese, I thought everything else was A-OK. Would I choose this cheesesteak over Fred's Meat and Bread or Woody's? No. But for the price point, I'm not complaining. It's a decent enough to satisfy your meaty yearnin'. (That's what she said.) III. SERVICE: They had super friendly folks working behind the counter, however, despite being not too busy during lunch it took about ten to fifteen minutes for my order to come out. I would expect a bit faster service for a cheesesteak. It's not a big deal, though! IV. AMBIENCE & DÉCOR: A few booths and small tables are scattered throughout. There are a couple TVs where you can catch-up on local news. (I learned that a man held a woman captive in Georgia for three years. WTF?) I would suggest to take your cheesesteak to go, because local news is straight up depressing, yo. V. PRICES: Really affordable for what you get. I think the price is just right. VI. OVERALL: Would I drive across town to eat there? No. Does it serve as a solid cheesesteak place if I'm in the area? Absolutely.

Yelp
Definitely has amazing food that hits every time. Could be a taddddd cheaper, but overall I think it's worth it.

Yelp
I miss the days when the Philly Cheesesteak Place was in almost every city and town, but now they are hard to find. This place is the real deal...
google avatar

Adam O.

Yelp
Def not a Philly Cheesesteak... 1. The bread is way too soft and tastes like Firehouse Subs 2. The meat is not real 2. There are no peppers Try Woody's.

Dylan C.

Yelp
This is my second time I've been here because it's between where I work and another job site. Both times he was quick and to the point. He didn't overcharge me for anything and I watched him change his gloves both times after ringing me up at the register. For the regular it is a very large size and for about 10 bucks it's a good deal. And the first time I went I forget I was in a work truck after telling him I'll go get exact change. when I came back in and didn't have the fifty cents he told me don't worry about. The original Philly I got was delicious also.

Yelp
My roommates and their friends visit this philly cheesesteak joint often and told me how good it was. They convinced me to come with them last time they wanted to come. This place was manned by one-person (from ordering to making the food to calling out for customers when food is ready) which seems very understaffed. The man, which I'm assuming is the owner, is super friendly and greeted us warmly. My roommate and I shared a large cheesesteak sandwich because we weren't that hungry and got onion rings as the side (extra charge for onion rings). The food took a while because he was the only taking orders and cooking, but it wasn't a terrible wait. I feel like customers are more understanding too since you can just see him running back and forth from the cashier to the grill trying his best to satisfy everyone's needs. I will say the cheesesteak is alright - nothing exceptional but does the job if you're feeling the cheesy meaty cravings. I definitely give kudos for this man who works very hard to run this place by himself and still providing good customer service. My only complaint is that he should wear gloves when handling cooked food, especially if he's running back and worth between germ filled money/credit cards and food preparation, or at least practice good hand hygiene.
google avatar

Jordan G.

Yelp
Over priced. Over $20 for two small subs 1 combo. I would love that it is made to order if it didn't take 15+ min and when I told him I'd just go somewhere else he wouldn't give my money back. This was before anything touched the grill. I was just hoping to pop in here for a nice quick lunch. Lesson learned.

Wendi T.

Yelp
Food is decent, but if you pay attention you will notice that the employee wears the same gloves to check you out, take your money, open boxes and fix your food. Safe to say I will not be going back .
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Have been there twice in the past two weeks. BOTH times they were closed. I won't be back. My time is too valuable to waste on this.
google avatar

Darren H.

Yelp
You know I was just thinking "whatever happened to Philly connection" I've been craving a Philly cheesesteak for awhile now. I was headed back home driving a way I've never gone before and low and behold there was the Philly Cheesesteak place. The location and interior leave's a lot to be desired but don't let that put you off unless you plan on eating there. I got the Mushroom Philly with fries and for the price you pay, you get more than enough food. I got the regular and when I got done I was stuffed. It did indeed hit my Cheese-steak craving and will be back again when the feeling hits.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Love this place! I just happened by it when I first started to work around here and finally made myself back around. It's truly a gem. It's not the fanciest place, but the Philly Cheesesteak here is one of the best and service is good and fast as well! They offer other variations and items but I haven't tried them yet. Great for a delicious quick bite. Review also on Google Maps.

Tiffany W.

Yelp
The food was great. I had a small mushroom and my fiance had a regular original. We were skeptical at first because the place was empty. The guy that took our order was the only one in there and I didn't think he spoke English at first. It was just really sketchy for being from out of town. These cheese steaks were great...and cheesy and we'll seasoned. It didn't look like it was that great but it taste really good. We also had chicken wings...lemon pepper and they were fried and crunchy but no lemon pepper. They were good the way they turned out tho, but because we ordered them lemon pepper, we gotta give him 4 stars. He got our food out in a pretty timely manner. We would come back when we come back in town.

Conner P.

Yelp
I lived as a young man in Pennsylvania, and have struggled to replicate the very specific satisfaction of a good philly in the south. Im happy to say I found it. They do it right here with the classic no frills; onion, meat, and cheese. Its always delicious and the owner is incredibly kind. I think people can be taken aback by his volume, but as a fellow kitchen worker, food which is in the process of cooking is much louder than you think. Locally owned, immagrant owned, serving amazing American food is the American dream. This business deserves you your patronage, and I can promise you won't regret trying it.
google avatar

Perry N.

Yelp
I always like coming to this place. It's a great family run alternative to the normal fast food joints. The sandwiches and fries are freshly prepared for each order.

Sheena P.

Yelp
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! THIS MAN WILL OVER CHARGE YOU AND TAKE YOUR MONEY, TIP HIMSELF, ALL WHILE SCREAMING AND DISRESPECTING YOU. I went here for the first time on Sunday because it was the only place open next to where I work. Mind you, this is my first day at a job I just started and I'm opening and closing the store myself, so I only had 20 minutes to grab lunch. I called ahead of time and he told me to arrive at 2:40pm the food will be ready. I ordered a small veggie sub + fries and drink. When I got there he was still making my food, which was fine. He got busy with more orders, that's understandable & I had no issue. I pay at 2:50 and I'm trusting him to charge me correctly bc we discussed it already on the phone. While he was charging me I asked could I add extra cheese & get aside if honey mustard. Both of these are 50 cents each, so $1 total. He said he's already charging the card so I tell him don't worry about and he says don't worry I'll just add it on as a tip. This man writes $2 down as the tip when it obviously only costs $1. On top of that -- he charged me $13.49 and I asked him why he had charged me that and he got annoyed and said bc that's what I ordered when it definitely was not. That was my first issue. Next, I see him using the same spatula to cook my food and the meat. I understand it's a fast food place & I needed to eat and like I said it was the only place open. I've been a vegetarian my whole life due to religious reasons & when I saw him flip the meat into my food I said "excuse me there's meat in my food". He starts SCREAMING "There's no meat! There's no meat!!" He then picks the meat out of my food with the spatula and throws it back onto the side where it belonged. Now I'm annoyed and he could tell. He then tries to be slick and get new spatulas when I wasn't looking to cook my food, trying to make it seem as if he had been cooking it separately from the meat the entire time. Once the foods done cooking on the grill he starts putting the food onto the bread and seasoning it and I said "excuse me sir, I'm gonna stop you right there I'm sorry but I cannot eat that. Can I just get a refund instead?" Again, he starts YELLING about how there's no meat and screams at me to "go sit down! Go sit down!! And I'll give you a 50% refund". At this point I say "no I'm not going to sit down and I don't know who you're yelling at I'm not your child. I'm going to stand at the cash register where you're going to refund me." I guess he didn't like that and starts telling me he will help me when he can, all the while taking calls and new customers in my face. I told him I need my refund now so that I can leave and he says he's busy and will do it later because he's working there by himself. I tell him absolutely not I'm also working along and I can't be gone for more than 20 minutes so I need my refund now. He the starts REFUSING either my refund OR my food! So I pulled out my phone to record the situation and he pulls out his phone too and starts screaming and telling a customer "look at what she's doing! Sir do you see this?" As if I was the one out of line. The man eating his food was annoyed at him too and yelled at him to just give me a refund and that what he's doing isn't right. Eventually 3 or 4 people started telling him he needs to refund me and he once again REFUSED a refund OR food. At this point he had wasted so much of my time that 40 minutes had passed and he said if I didn't leave he would call the police. I hadn't done anything wrong so I called the police myself. The police said they couldn't do anything about it and that I would have to take him to court... over a sandwich. I instead got a refund issued through my bank and if you make the mistake of going there before reading this -- I suggest you do the same. There was no way I was going to let him keep the $13.50 he charged me or the tip he left himself. The whole situation was just ridiculous and I have no idea why anyone would react the way he did simply over a refund. It was out of line and so over the top. I even told him I would still pay for the drink and fries, I just didn't want the sandwich. I also thought I was going to lose my job for messing up so bad like this on my first day. There were a few customers waiting for me to come back from lunch and my manager is strict about being away too long. When I apologized and explained to him what happened, he actually ended up apologizing to me and saying he hates this rude man and should have warned me about not going there for lunch. I hope this helps before anyone wastes their time, energy, or money getting scammed by this guy.

Yelp
Went to this place for my usual regular mushroom Philly Cheesesteak. I have been a good customer here for at least 7+ years. A guy in front of me order 2 small mushroom Philly's and he specifically asked for NO CHEESE on both. Mind you we are the only 2 customers in the place. So he made the guy's 2 small Philly's and he left. The guy comes back in when the owner was starting to fix my Philly. He said he asked for NO CHEESE and there was cheese on both. So the owner takes the 2 Philly's back and says he will remake them. I am kind of paying attention but not really as I was on the phone. Then a few minutes later he tells me my order is ready. I did notice it was rather quick. Too quick, so I look at the sub and notice it is smaller. I asked the owner and he says it was a regular, they just changed their bread vendor. So I leave and while driving home and it comes to me...this guy gave me one of the philly's the guy before me brought back!! Mind you COVID-19 is out and he gives me a philly some random guy had opened and looked in. Too far to turn back, I called back and I told the owner what he did. He apologized (he knew what he did) and said to come back and he would fix me a new one. No f'ing way!!! Never going back! I should have called the health department. You don't treat loyal customer like that! And as other reviews had said he will try to overcharge you if your not paying attention, The prices on the wall are not accurate.

Yelp
Philly was good. Lots of fries. Great bread. But this place is not clean how it should be. The bathroom is dirty ( I had to change my daughters pull up since we have been on the car for a while. I told him and he looked confused and said someone cleans up every night LIE. The ketchups and hot sauce were sticky. They need a good wipe down. I sat outside to get fresh air. Good and tastes lunch but I won't try this place again. :(

Eh. Went here once, and that's about all I can say... definitely not the move in my opinion, if go to woody's first for sure.

Yelp
I love this place. The two times I've visited have been excellent. The owners (husband and wife) run the shop on their own. About hygiene, personally, I haven't noticed anything wrong. And to be honest, if you think people are wearing gloves to prepare your food in "top notch" restaurants, you're mistaken. These are honest people who do their cooking and prep right in front of you. Anyways... The food: So far I've had the original cheese steak and the mushroom cheese steak. LAWWWWD When you split the two halves it's like a cheese commercial. Meat and veggies held together by gooooey cheese. It gets even better as you eat it. The wait: Both waits were approx six minutes. The menu: They've got a lot of options, personally can't vouch for anything but the cheese steak yet. The price: after tax a large cheese steak runs about $9. Worth it. The ambience: It's your average deli decor, good if you want to get some work done, they have a couple tvs running usually. This place is exactly as it should be.

Yelp
For whatever reason I was jonesing for a cheesesteak and didn't want to fight va-hi traffic and go to Woodys so I came down Cheshire to Cheesesteak Place. I came at 245 on a Saturday afternoon.... Completely off time but there was a small stream Of people that were coming in and out. I ordered the Original Cheesesteak and fries. The owner makes every cheesesteak in order as opposed to a huge batch. It was delicious. Good bread, well seasoned beef and relatively gooey( how I like it) The fries were also fresh . They came out hot and crispy and well seasoned. I have found a good lunch spot which I will go to many times in the future. Kudos

Yelp
I have been a loyal customer to the owner of this place for over 10 years (when he was at his previous location in Ansley Mall). I came in with my boyfriend tonight to get dinner. The owner recognized me and attempted to take our order while remaining on a phone call. He rang us up for one sandwich instead of two and took the $20 my boyfriend handed him. After talking on the phone some more he put the money in his drawer and when my boyfriend tried to clarify our order and subtotal, the owner said my bf had not given him any money and owed him $21. I heard voices getting raised after I sat down so I got up to see what was taking so long. I insisted to the owner that my bf had given him a $20 bill. He seemed like he almost believed me but he still stood firm despite my boyfriend asking him to check the security camera. Owner refused to check because he was "too busy" with the one other customer. Like come on dude. You know me. Why would I do some dumb sh** like that. You lost a LONG time loyal customer today so congratulations

Yelp
Hands down this is the BEST tasting cheesesteak in Atlanta! And for all those commenting on the sanitary procedures, I understand, you're in Buckhead. But just know the BEST Philly cheesesteaks are being sold out of corner liquor stores in Philly that look like they have rats, and they stay sold out! This place has the cheesiest MEATIEST steaks around... it murders woody's! I don't know about the hype of that gas station shop that sells cheesesteaks because I haven't had it yet, but for now, this place is number 1.... and I'm from Philly!
