Gorgeous and delightful coffee shop. A beautiful break from the city. And a great place to spend a couple hours working, hanging out, or escaping from the bustle. Some surprising menu items, including the turmeric honey cinnamon latte, artistically done.

Emma Hart

Google
The Vietnamese coffee here was AMAZING! The food was good, but the portions were a bit small and it wasn't anything crazy taste-wise. Definentely recommend just trying the coffee or drinks here

Seth McChesney

Google
Delicious coffee and food! I got the honey tumeric latte and the pho burrito, which was yummy and a creative take on the dish. The staff was very friendly and the space was good to get some work done as well!

Google
Although the cafe was crowded, the service was fast It’s a cute place for coffee We tried the Boston cream latte and the coffee cake, both were excellent! The coffee sweetness was spot on They do have milk alternatives Would love to try the food options next time

Google
Great place to pick up some delicious coffee downtown! The coconut coffee was strong, but with a slushy coconut that balances it out perfectly. They do coconut justice here! Also came midday during work rush but the baristas were very quick and attentive, definitely one of my favorites in the area!

Google
Food here is really good, the spring rolls were delicious and fresh. Hibiscus iced tea was pretty good and they made it without sugar when I asked which was pretty nice. The chai was really good as well. The only disappointing thing was that they were out of matcha when we went but if I’m in the downtown area again I would love to come back to try their matcha and anything else on their menu as well.

Google
Absolutely delicious coffee. The Boston cream latte is worth the $7, one of the tastiest coffees I’ve tried! You may wait a bit longer than at other coffee shops because they clearly put in the time and effort for every drink, and it’s well worth it!

Google
I visited this nice Vietnamese cafe during my Boston trip. The place was bustling yet maintained a bright and clean atmosphere, and the staff were super friendly.I am usually very picky about coffee, but it was a pleasant surprise to see the varieties of specialty coffee-based and matcha-based drinks. I came here twice, on the first trip, I tried the iced Boston cream latte and immediately loved it --- slightly sweeter and creamier than usual iced latte but absolutely delicious, then I also tried the citrus espresso, a uniquely flavorful, strong drink that left a lasting impression. I returned a few days later to try the matcha ube latte. It too was fantastic, perfectly blending the distinct flavors of matcha and ube. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a morning coffee after getting in late the night before. I definitely needed all the caffeine to get me through the day. I ordered the ca phe phin and tried to order the coconut coffee. I say tried because the lady helpfully warned me that the coconut coffee had ice cream, and while that sounds amazing! It wasn't the right vibe for the morning. If I had time, I would have come back for an afternoon coffee just to try it! The coffee was delicious and strong! And I also got a cranberry muffin, which was delicious!

Yelp
Very attentive baristas, intriguing menu. Good location - close to the South Station. Quiet ambience. Clean facilities.

Yelp
Such a cute little spot! The vibes are quiet, clean, and serene making it perfect for grabbing a quick drink, pastry, or some traditional Vietnamese food and locking in on your work! The service was fast and friendly so the experience overall was just lovely! Their matcha is definitely up there with some of the best in the city: it was creamy, had a high quality earthy flavor, and you're able to adjust your sweetness for the perfect balance! I would definitely recommend trying out this spot!

Yelp
A sleek little spot with limited seating and really good coffee. I had a Hojicha Latte which was nice to have (though I'd recommend having it with something to sweeten it a bit). The service was lovely and handled the rush ahead of me really well. I appreciate the efficiency their staff had. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
My friend and I met here on a Saturday in the mid morning and easily found a table, but it was quite crowded by the time we left around 11:30am. I enjoyed a matcha latte here ($7, including a $1 surcharge for nondairy milk) which looked beautiful and wasn't too sweet which I liked. My friend enjoys their coconut water coffees. The staff were friendly too. All around a nice coffee shop, albeit quite busy!
google avatar

Isabella C.

Yelp
The workers are always super friendly here! A cute cafe in downtown, though it can get quite busy during lunch time. I've tried their matcha latte here, which is strong and not too sweet. The hojicha latte had a nice toasted flavor, making a rich drink! I also tried the banh mi with bbq pork, which was delicious! It was thin, crunchy bread (almost like a panini) with flavorful meat and refreshing veggie toppings.
google avatar

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately i wasn't impressed by any of the four drinks i tried. the ca phe phin was way too sweet for me, the matcha latte and coconut coffee were okay, and the mango smoothie was fine (kinda hard to mess that one up). However, the cafe itself is really nice inside, clean and modern. It was really busy, but the staff were efficient and got our orders out fast.
google avatar

Darian C.

Yelp
So cute! The coffee was great and the service was fast. I got the ube espresso latte and I liked how I could taste the ube flavor and the espresso was not overpowering it. The inside is super cute. I went during the winter and they had their holiday decorations up. They have limited seating so probably not great for working but it was really nice for hanging out.

Yelp
Phin coffee house is such a great coffee find in downtown Boston! I tried the Boston cream latte and it tasted so creamy and delicious but not overly sweet! I didn't order any of their food options besides a pistachio muffin from their baked goods. It was really tasty as well, but I'll definitely have to come back to try more from their menu! Drinks come out quickly despite it being a busy weekend morning. There's plenty of seating to hang out and the space is bright and super welcoming.

Yelp
best Vietnamese coffee in Boston!! they open at 7, which is perfect for starting off your mornings. The classic Vietnamese coffee is really strong without being bitter. It's also not too sweet, which I've noticed is a hard balance to find. I also tried the Boston cream latte which is also delicious, but you really can't beat the classic. The only downside is that it takes longer to make, but the coffee is worth it. Also a little pricier, but again the coffee is just so good.

Yelp
When in Boston for a quick vacation, we were looking for a quick breakfast to start off our day. After exiting South Station, we stumbled upon Phin Coffee House. Best find ever! The cashier was really sweet and helpful. We deciced on a ca phe phin (Vietnamese iced coffee), a matcha float, and the pho burrito. Drinks were on point, just the right amount of flavor and sweetness. Burrito was pho-nominal! Loved the concept, and the flavors were well balanced. Enjoyed the relaxing ambiance as we ate. 100% reccomend!
google avatar

Arianna L.

Yelp
Hard to find seating because they were so busy but I tried their hojicha latte (tastes like a milk tea) and their coconut coffee which was so good!! Also got their spring rolls , they were pretty good
google avatar

Yutin Z.

Yelp
Definitely my most visited cafe in Boston! I have tried many items on the menu and they are all pretty good. My favorite drink is the Boston Cream Latte and Coconut Coffee. The matcha here is good too! My go to order is either the pho burrito, banh mi, or spring rolls! They have some new items on the menu so will have yo try those as well. There is seating and plenty of outlets making it a great place to study or work from.

Yelp
I got an iced ube matcha latte with oat milk from here. The drink was very pretty bunch has a suspiciously lumpy/pulpy texture. I was expecting a smooth drink so it threw me off a bit. Phin had a nice ambiance tho and I appreciated that the baristas delivered your drinks to your table!
google avatar

Pareesa M.

Yelp
Phin coffee shop is such a cute place to meet with a friend or coworker. The ambiance is very cozy, and there are plenty of delicious food and pastry options to enjoy with your coffee. I picked the chicken banh mi, which honestly paired very well with my flat white. I recommend this if you're in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
Phin Coffee House has some awesome Viet Coffee. Their Ca Phe Phin coffee is bold, smooth and delicious. Bao buns are a bit too oily (buns were literally dripping in oil), but the beef filling inside is delicious. Coconut Coffee doesn't have much coconut flavor. It was also oddly sour. The cafe is quite small, so it's best to only go in parties of 2 or less. They have free wifi though which is nice. It can be difficult to find a table on the weekends so go early if you can.

Yelp
Stumbled on this place on the way to another coffee shop we frequent and decided to switch it up, glad we did! Originally stopped because we saw it was busy which is always a good sign. Vietnamese style coffee with some unique flavours like boston cream which is delicious! Food looked great too but didn't try, variety of classic breakfast and viet dishes. Would go back to try some other options in the future. Cozy space to work and hangout right in the heart of downtown

Yelp
5 stars for the most insanely amazing pho burrito you can imagine (I loved it so much I went back the next day for another!). When staying in Boston recently, I was searching on Yelp for an interesting lunch choice and came across Phin and their pho burrito. I'm a huge fan of Vietnamese cuisine and had to try it. Luckily it was a short walk from the hotel. The pho burrito comes with a side of pho broth, but the second time around I opted for no broth since I was on my way to the airport and the broth was honestly the least impressive element of this dish (which is a bummer for a soup themed burrito, but the burrito itself is absolutely worth it.) The burrito is packed with all the flavors you would expect in a bowl of pho. Every bite will leave you shocked about the new vessel for the familiar, comforting dish. Like I mentioned before, the broth wasn't my favorite part as it lacked the depth of flavor (and salt/acid) that I'd expect, but it didn't detract from the main draw of the dish. I ate the first burrito in the shop, while sipping on some good coffee. The next day I took it to-go and ate it in the park. Both times were impressive and made me wish someone was making this dish near me (in Central Florida). Oh well, guess I'll have to go back to Boston for my next fix!

Yelp
One of my favorite cafes! They serve great coffee I really like the coconut coffee! Super smooth and the coconut is a nice sweetener. They deserve all the hype they receive for their unique fusion menu items and drinks.

Yelp
Phin Coffee House is a short walk from South Station and offers a nice menu of caffeinated drinks and a selection of salads and sandwiches under $12 (early 2023). The priciest option at $12.95 being their SMOKED SALMON TOAST Avocado, red grape tomatoes, arugula, mozzarella, basil, dill, smoked salmon with balsamic vinegar, and olive oil on thick-cut multigrain. I'm eyeing their $3.95 muffins for a future visit, but this time I ordered their fresh spring rolls $5.75 with shrimp. Depending on where you look, it either has or does not include pickled carrots. I was sad to discover that their Toasttab description (SPRING ROLLS - Two rolls of shrimp/ chicken/ tofu, featuring vermicelli, cucumber, pickled carrots, basil leaves/ mint leaves served with peanut sauce.) was incorrect, while their printed menu was accurate. It was still pretty good, and primarily used as a vehicle for the peanut sauce, but I hope they reconsider and add the pickled carrots back into their fresh rolls, both for a dash of color, as well as of taste.

Yelp
They serve really good coconut coffee here! It tasted like the one I had in Vietnam. Highly recommend it. They have tight indoor seatings and the cafe gets filled up really quickly during brunch time. Staff were friendly and its a cute little cafe in the south station area. Value: 9/10 Beverage: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Experience: 9/10

Yelp
One of my go to spots for coffee during the work week - get the coconut coffee or boston cream latte if you like sweeter espresso-based drinks. Their hojicha is decent too although not as nutty as I would like. Their matcha lemonade tastes exactly like how it sounds, and I was intrigued by the combination but don't think it was refreshing enough for me to get again. Cute interior and staff are always nice!
google avatar

Yelp
I was skeptical at the thought of a matcha latte with turmeric, but decided to give it a shot because why not! The drink honestly surpassed my expectations and impressed me a lot. They were having it as one of their specials during the time I visited, would recommend if you see it! The drink was super light and refreshing; I loved the earthiness that the turmeric provided to the drink and how well it complimented the matcha. We came in around a busy lunch rush but the employees made our order with speeed. They had a pretty cool selection of Vietnamese fusion dishes too which I thought was cool! Lots of seating and seems like it'd be a nice place to work at too.

Yelp
Just a tourist through the financial district in Boston. Heard about pho burrito from wife. Was skeptical that it would be good. Totally surprised I liked it. Vietnamese coffee on the other hand needs a little improvement. A little acidic for my palate. Overall thank you for the experience

Yelp
A cute vietnamese cafe in downtown boston! They have limited seatings. I LOVE their boston cream latte and always end up getting it every single time! It tastes the same every time.Their Ca Phe Phin is also classic and strong. I would love to go back again for their food and baked goods. -8/10 for coffee

Yelp
Visited on a Sunday afternoon and had a lovely time here. The storefront is easy to find - lots of windows looking out to the street. The decor is minimalist and organic. Staff were courteous even though it was very busy. The seating area isn't huge, but we were able to get a table and sit for a while. The noodle salad with tofu made for a refreshing lunch and the golden matcha latte was comforting and not too sweet. I'd love to try more on their menu for sure! I'll be back :)
google avatar

Melanie W.

Yelp
The place seems cozy, but seating is limited, especially at peak times. I had too high expectations for the drinks. The ube latte was just okay; there was too much ube powder. Coconut coffee, lack of coconut favors. I probably will not try their drinks, but I might return to try their food.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Love this spot!! Id actually been here over the summer as well but forgot to note it then. The coconut water americano was delicious and arguably caused a paradigm shift in my consumption of caffeinated drinks. I got the tofu banh mi then and now and rlly enjoyed both times - my one thing is theres a LOT of mayo - too much dare i say, even though im a mayo lover. Gonna try to go back for an ube matcha before i leave boston
google avatar

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
Food: Great portion/Tasty salad/Strong Matcha flavored latte Everything was perfect and the food was amazing Environment: Probably have 5-8 tables, packed during lunch hr as it is closed to the offices Really enjoyed the food :)

Yelp
Phin Coffee House is a perfectly fine cafe. Its location perhaps gives it an advantage, as there is a relative dearth of comparable cafes in this area of Boston. I have not sampled the foods at Phin Coffee House, so I can not and I shall not speak to the food quality at the establishment. I have, however, tried the coffee and tried the water and touched the space. The coffee is good. Nothing life-changing but I have certainly tried far worse. The prices are, in my mind's eye, high, but not extraordinary for this area. Think $5 to $6 for a normal sized cappuccino. The prepared Vietnamese foods looked appealing, although the pastries bore a facade of dryness and mediocrity. Whether they indeed are dry and mediocre is beyond the scope of what I can and what I shall say. As for the so-called ambience, Phin Coffee House is slightly corporate in spirit. In other words, one would hesitate to call it cozy. I say this not as a judgement of quality, but simply as a statement of fact. Different strokos may appeal to different folkos. There is, however, a restroom, which is always a good thing. The staff are friendly and proactive, directing guests to the restroom when they sense a guest is ready and eager to release waste. I would return to Phin Coffee House when I am in the area. I would not, however, seek it out as a destination in and of itself.

Yelp
Quick service, cozy lunch spot in the heart of the Boston Financial District. It's still relatively undiscovered since it's tucked away on High Street, so it's still possible to find table space for one or two at noon. The chicken breast is flavorful and well marinated, and pairs well with the pickled veggies, crunchy lettuce, and sweet peanut sauce dressing. Cappucino is on the smaller side but satisfying.
google avatar

Qme L.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on a Monday at noon. It is counter service with some seating available. Service was friendly, if you dine in, they'll give you a number and bring the food out to your table. I ordered the ca phe phin iced and the pho burrito. The coffee was delicious. Coffee was smooth, with the perfect amount of condensed milk -not too sweet. If you drink it fast... it does go quite fast as most of the cup is ice. The pho burrito was interesting! Good amount of braised beef. There was good flavor however I wish the sriracha and hoisin sauce came on the side. It wasn't very consistent throughout so some bites had overwhelming amounts of sauce. Pho broth was lackluster... lacked depth. Would definitely come back for the coffee and maybe try some other food options they have
google avatar

Vivian D.

Yelp
I went recently with a friend during a work lunch, FiDi workers be warned!!! This area gets quite popular and busy during the brunch/noon hours. Nonetheless the service and food was still amazing! Decorated with plants and bright lighting from the wide windows - stood a beautiful and bustling cafe with a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes. I ate the noodle salad with a side of pho broth to sip while my friend got a coconut coffee. Noodle salad (8/10) I wished it came with more noodles rather than veggies but I can't complain considering it is a salad. On the side came with a peanut sauce that tasted creamy, slightly sweet, and had a strong pairing with the noodles. The chicken was great, not too chewy, and had good flavor but didn't take away the shine of the veggies. The veggies were delicious, they had a sour-y/vinaigrette taste to it that made it all the more refreshing. Pho Broth (5/10) Oh boy, I usually drink my pho broth with a TON of sriracha but regardless of that, there was something lacking in flavor for me. I can't put my finger on it but it definitely tasted more oily than salty.
google avatar

Lily G.

Yelp
Not a place for conversation, great for studying if you get a seat. Small and particularly quiet. Service was fast and the food was decent. 4 stars since the place had maybe 8 tables. A lot of single people working on laptops which meant my friend and I had to drag a chair to a table meant for one person.
google avatar

Melissa T.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab a quick snack and coffee. I was excited to try the vietnamese coffee but it was poorly made. The coffee tasted powdery and as if there were coffee grounds in it.... I took only one sip and asked the lady in the front if it could be remade but she said it was too late because I took a sip... I ended up tossing it away. The beef baos looked extremely good and flavorful. However, it was so bland...The most flavor was from the buns itself. It was also dripping in oil. $14.45 for both beef bun and coffee No parking

Yelp
Phin Coffee House is a cute and casual restaurant in Boston! For food, I got the Pork Banh Mi and the Pho Burrito. The pork in the banh mi was similar to deli meat and I didn't love that but I do know that a lot of places make banh mi that way! The pho burrito was so unique and I loved the concept! They give you pho broth with the burrito to dip it in. The broth was rich and went well with the burrito, which had everything you need in pho! The spring rolls were solid but similar to other places. We also got some Thai iced tea and coffee and they were delicious! I liked that they weren't too sweet and heavy with condensed milk. The location of the restaurant is a little hard to get to as it's near South Station. But if you're ever in the area, this is definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Heeju S.

Yelp
During my stay in Boston I visited Phin Coffee a few times bc my sister loves their Ca Phe Phin (which is their traditional Vietnamese coffee). The second day I went in, one of the baristas, May, recognized me already. They have such a nice community feel to go with the amazing coffee and food options. It's a must have especially if you work in the financial district. Perfect to stop by for your morning coffee or grab lunch!
google avatar

Amy Z.

Yelp
I ordered online for pickup and the order was ready promptly and packaged well. The Vietnamese coffee was one of the best I've ever had, and the pho burrito was unique but delicious! I would definitely recommend this spot and would come back if I'm in the area to dine inside.
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
An absolute gem on the edge of the financial district/chinatown. Great drinks and food! The drip iced coffee is flavorful and their ca phe phin (viet coffee) is not too sweet. I really enjoy their matcha, which is always smooth. Their Banh mi's are made using a delicious thin panini like baguette. The pickled veggies are tangy and balance out the meat well. Staff are extremely nice and attentive. Interior is nicely decorated and clean. On the smaller side, so I would personally not choose to work or study here, but others do. Perfect spot for a breakfast or lunch date!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
One of the best local cafe in Boston. They have a variety of specialty coffee like Ca Phe Phin (Vietnamese coffee) , HoJicha Latte (roasted match latte) and other regular drink like drip coffee & smoothie. I once tried the Ube Latte and was surprised to find purple sweet potato crumbs in the bottom of my cup. A sweet surprise. I also found a lot of people ordering their Matcha Lemonade, so, I bet it must be good. You can find many good food like Banh Mi, Pho Burrito, Beef Bao Buns, spring rolls as well as other lunch items like smoked salmon toast, bagels, muffins and more. Highly recommend the Pho Burrito and make sure to dip your burrito into the flavorful broth that comes with it. All the servers & barista are friendly. The place is clean and comfy. Give it a try if you are visiting Boston. It is just near South Station.

Yelp
i tried their plain matcha latte last time I came and didn't really like it, so i went back for what i originally was going to get when finding out about phin coffee house, the ube matcha! and im so glad i did! this was amazing ( besides the fact that it was about $9..) the matcha flavor was superrr rich and i could actually taste it in comparison to the normal iced matcha latte.
google avatar

Malina N.

Yelp
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the food! Well worth their cost, the quality of the ingredients led the flavors of each food we ordered to be spot on! The pickled carrot and radish in the bánh mì was perfect and so was the texture of the actual bread. Although the pâté flavor could have been stronger, overall I enjoyed these sandwiches The phở burrito came as the biggest surprise. The filling of the burrito had the same flavors of phở dặc biệt and the tortilla wrap didn't overwhelm any flavors. While I loved the burrito itself, I did feel like the broth could have had a deeper flavor. As for the coffee, the coconut coffee special is my go to! It's viet espresso poured over a blend of vanilla ice cream and condensed coconut milk. The cà phê phin specialty was pretty strong and I would've preferred more condensed milk mixed in, but it was a solid coffee I definitely recommend trying their coconut water espresso iced because it's SO refreshing, and I'm definitely coming back to try their seasonal drinks! For service, I received my food within 5-10 minutes, and the atmosphere of this cafe was great for studying or taking a break from work!
google avatar

KJ S.

Yelp
Cute little Vietnamese coffee shop. I wanted something hot and they only do the caphe Phin cold so I opted for the matcha turmeric latte. Really smooth, not bitter and not super sweet. I love it! Service was prompt and friendly. I'd be here often if I lived nearby!
google avatar

Liliana R.

Yelp
A few friends and I stopped in for lunch one day, and we ordered some Coconut Coffees and some Bahn Mis. We showed up just before the large lunch rush, so we didn't have any wait for seating, but after we left, the place was pretty packed. The service was quick, and our food and drinks were brought directly to our table. The Bahn Mis were delicious. The Coconut Coffees were good, but we were expecting them to be a little sweeter than they were - not that that's not a bad thing. If you're a fan of a not-too-sweet treat, the Coconut Coffees is a perfect option. Based on our quick, lunchtime visit, I'd come back to try other menu items.
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
I got the Boston cream coffee and it was really good. I could see myself going back here. Staff wasn't super friendly but it was a weekend and a bit busy. Fun to try with their unique menu.
google avatar

Nancy H.

Yelp
The hojicha latte was quite good. I added a little bit of sweetener in it due to its bitter aroma. The inside really only seats max parties of 2. They don't have big tables or a lot of room. There's plenty of parking so no worries there. They have WiFi for you to do work too!
google avatar

John A.

Yelp
They have a pho burrito! --- mic drop, review over. Service, coffee (not the coconut water coffee, unfortunately), ambiance, all good. Pho burrito -- fantastic -- like a French dip that traveled to Vietnam and decided to hang out and soak up the country's diverse flavors.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Cute Vietnamese cafe in downtown! The space is clean and modern with good natural lighting. When I visited, I saw lots of people studying/working so it seems like a good spot to get some work done. I loved the ca phe phin which was strong with the perfect amount of sweetness. The hibiscus fog was surprisingly delicious too! It was an iced hibiscus tea with refreshing citrus flavor. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Lovely staff, great interior and great location near South Station. Got the Pho Burrito which ended up costing a little under $14. A little pricey and wasn't mindblowingly good but still worth a try for the creativity.
