4 Restaurants to Try This Weekend in Los Angeles: November 1 - Eater LA

"In the realm of Orange County pho, few places will be as heralded as Pho 79, winner of the James Beard America’s Classics award a few years ago. In 2018, the family behind Pho 79 expanded to another restaurant called Pho 101 at a difficult-to-access plaza in Westminster just off the 405. Though it’s on a major intersection at Edinger and Beach Boulevard, the restaurant is only accessible going west on Edinger. The journey is worth it because Pho 101 might have my favorite new pho in Southern California outside of Pho Redbo. Pho 101 does a fun customizable bowl with up to four different toppings for the same price. A medium runs $14.75, and it’s more than big enough for a single person. I opted for tai, or rare steak, brisket, and floating blobs of tofu so that my son could have something to eat. The tai was tender, melt-in-your-mouth while the brisket had an edge of profound beefiness. The broth is perfect, almost clear but not overwhelmingly directed toward spices or aromatics. The dining room is also very nice with a modern and vaguely industrial aesthetic that doesn’t try too hard. The ambience is a clear step up from the garden variety strip mall pho spot. As the weather turns cold, this will be the pho restaurant our family will gravitate towards." - Eater Staff

The 23 Best Vietnamese Restaurants in Little Saigon, Orange County | Eater LA

"Pho 101 is best known for its oxtail pho. Its pedigree is well-regarded since Pho 101 is the modern offshoot of the James Beard award-winning Pho 79. The family expanded its footprint to what feels like the next generation of a pho shop: The booths are made of wood planks, and the dining room’s exposed ventilation pipes and metal accents give the space a modern vibe that attracts a trendier audience. Don’t leave without trying the crispy chicken with garlic butter rice." - Jenn Tanaka

Google
I recommend coming here if you are looking for an affordable but delicious pho! My group of five enjoyed our experience from here. Each of us has payed $11-$14 including the food we shared. The pho were tasty and very very reasonable! Im only giving four stars because the utensils seems oily but we asked them to have a new set.

We’ve been to countless Vietnamese restaurants over the years, but Pho101 stands out—and for good reason. We drive 30 minutes from home, passing dozens of other spots, just to eat here. Why? One word: broth. Ok 2 words: Yummy broth. Their pho is rich, deeply flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. We ordered the beef pho with tendon and a side of oxtail—the oxtail is melt-in-your-mouth tender, but be warned: they sometimes run out, so get there early if that’s your favorite. The crispy egg rolls hit the perfect balance of crunchy and moist, while the spring rolls with pork and shrimp had incredible flavor—fresh, savory, and perfectly wrapped. We also tried the broken rice plate combo with pork chops and egg cake, and it was a satisfying, well-rounded meal on its own. Service was fast, though not especially warm—but honestly, the food does all the talking. And it speaks volumes. Pho101 is a sister restaurant to the original Pho79 in Garden Grove, which earned a Michelin star. That level of quality absolutely shows here. If you’re serious about your pho, this place is more than worth the drive.

Google
Overall, really good. I ordered the pho, with chicken and shrimp and there was plenty of chicken and 3 shrimp….I expected more shrimp, however, that was most likely the ratio you get. $15, the medium size was plenty. I’d return. To me, not a super flavorful pho, yet, I enjoyed it. Very busy. That’s why I probably didn’t see my waiter until the end.

Google
Solid pho. Customized meat options. Top 5 local spots to try. Understanding is it is an extension of Pho 79 from the owners. The rare steak option looked cooked prior to serving and not in broth. Wish it was piping hot. Large portions for medium servings.

Fresh, authentic pho with rich broth and crisp herbs. The place is clean, welcoming, and environmentally conscious. Staff was friendly and attentive—great all-around experience!

Pho 101 is an offshoot of Little Saigon's legendary Pho 79 and can be found in a complex across the street from Bella Terra. Like its sister restaurant, you can expect a wait due to its popularity. We arrived around dinner time on a Saturday and there were 7 parties ahead of us, but thankfully the queue moved quickly. The restaurant space is spacious on the interior and can seat plenty of parties. The menu is simplistic and includes appetizers, pho, bun, rice dishes, drinks and desserts. What I appreciated most are that you can choose up to 4 items for your pho at no additional cost and the sheer size of their bowls. I ordered a Large and it was quite possibly the biggest bowl of pho I've ever consumed and that's a definite plus for a voracious eater like me! We also ordered rice dishes to go. We could take the freshness of their ingredients and broth. It really hit the spot on a frigid and cold night out! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I started feeling under the weather last night and lost my appetite, so I turned to my go-to comfort food: pho. That's when I decided to try Pho 101, a sister restaurant to the Michelin-starred Pho 79. The service was fast and efficient--I ordered the veggie pho with shrimp, and it arrived within five minutes. The broth was comforting and absolutely hit the spot. Portions are huge! Even the small size feels like a large, so be mindful when ordering. I absolutely love this little hidden gem. It's much less crowded than Pho 79, which is a big plus for me. The staff are polite, and the place is clean and tidy. If you're in the area, definitely check it out!

Google
Best pho I've ever had!! Went here with friends coz we just love pho. Didn't expect much coz we were in town for a wedding so just didn't have any expectations. As I started eating, I found myself just really enjoying my food so I had to take a photo in the middle of my meal (coz like I said, I didn't have much expectation so didn't take a photo beforehand.. but loved it so much I had to leave a review I thought). So yes.. just really good broth and their meat was tender, veggies were fresh. Just really enjoyed it! Hope the quality and flavor stays the same!!!

Yelp
I prefer this place over their OG location. Same flavor profile, way cleaner, and they take credit card. Only con is the parking lot entry and its size. Only one way to enter and you better hope that there is a spot. The true limitation for this restuarnt is the parking lot capacity.
google avatar

Yelp
Still the same MASSIVE portion's and solid service. But I notice like all giants, at some point they start to get used to being busy and sought after. We all know those food costs have gone up. I don't think I've ever been to a pho place that was great for years and years and years, they always end up going a little bit downhill. This is still my fav but the broth is no where near as fresh and umami as it used to be. It's def way too sweet! It's a shame, maybe it was an off day.

Yelp
Pho 101 is our go-to spot for pho in Westminster, and it never disappoints! It's always busy during lunch, but the wait is super manageable--we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Pro tip: get there before noon to avoid the rush. Parking can be tricky since the lot is small, but once you're inside, the efficiency and quality make up for it. The food comes out ridiculously fast--like 2 minutes fast--which is perfect when you're hungry. The pho is always on point, with a rich, flavorful broth and generous portions. I usually get a large at other places, but a medium here is more than enough, and it's reasonably priced around $15. The vermicelli bowl is also excellent, loaded with fresh and tasty ingredients. Pho 101 is consistently great and has become our favorite spot for a quick, delicious meal. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Pho 101 has been on my list for a while, nudging out its sister restaurant Pho 79 (since Pho 79 is cash only). Their dining room is quite large and very clean. Their pho is very reasonably priced - a medium bowl of pho with your choice of up to 4 meats is $14.25. I chose a medium bowl of noodle soup without meat ($9.25) and and oxtail bowl ($7). The bowl was quite large and the broth was super hot, though not as flavorful as I expected. The oxtail meat fell right off the bone - mmmmm. I normally finish bowls of pho easily but not here. Maybe it's because I ate all my oxtail, but I failed to eat all the noodles, making me think that two people could have shared my meal. Wish this place was closer to me so I could go here regularly! Look forward to going to Pho 79 to see how it measures up!

Yelp
The good: Pho is a wonderful comfort food that's great for hangovers, kids, rainy days, breakfast and so much more. I love the complexity of flavors and textures in a pho bow. The mix of raw and fresh vegetables with a broth that has been simmering to deepen its flavors over many hours. My mom's friend lives nearby and claimed this was her favorite pho in the area. This is saying a lot because there are TONS of pho places here. It is so competitive! I agree that this place is amongst the best. The broth has a slightly sweet flavor that makes it really easy to eat. The noodles are soft and fresh. I like their cool to-go containers that make it easy for you to eat in their provided bowls. The price is fair. They give a good amount of meat and vegetables. The bad: I've only ordered to-go so I cannot speak to the ambience or waiting service. The interesting: They have another location that is a different number (not 101) but my mom's friend claims that this one is the best.

Yelp
I love Pho 101! Been going here since they opened. Easy drive from work, if get my fix every few weeks. The food is so delicious whether it be pho, broken rice, or their combo. I get the 3 item combo with 2 pork chops and 1 egg roll. Pork chops are so moist and flavorful! Egg roll is big and the skin isn't typical. So crunchy and light. The is attractive at $16 for a big plate of food. Pre covid was $13 which was way under priced. Service is always excellent! And the ambiance is pleasant. The restaurant and restrooms are really clean. The employees are always nice and on top of it.

Yelp
The sister restaurant of the world famous Pho 79. Which is still one of my favorite places to eat of all time. This location is closer to Huntington Beach to service a different crowd. It's a lot nicer in this Pho 101 location. The food quality is the same but costs more here. But you still get that top notch pho here. They've got so many James Beard awards, and there's a reason why. The broth is just amazing here. That umami feel just hits the spot. The noodles are cooked perfectly. Piping hot soup. With the brisket and rare beef. You pay a bit more for a much newer setting.

Yelp
Pho 101 is the sister restaurant to Pho 79, but somehow not exactly the same. It's a sister restaurant - but again, not the same exact taste. Pho 101 has an upgraded interior and a parking lot only slightlyyyyy better than the one at Pho 79. But the crowd is less (there is a wait sometimes), but the wait is a lot more bearable than the one at 79. Best of all - everytime I've come here, it has never ran out of oxtail. Also, one of the best parts? This one takes credit card (Pho 79 is all cash). Pho 101 has quickly become our favorite due to ease of access - there's little wait and having a baby to lug around makes that an instant win for us nowadays.

Adrienne N.

Yelp
I'm a die hard pho 79 fan but wanted to check out pho 101 since I was told it's a sister restaurant. The pho was nowhere nearly as good as I remember pho 79 being. It just tasted way too sweet and the broth was too dark. It's somewhat decent pho with a very generous portion, but I felt like it doesn't hit the bar for OC pho taste wise. Especially if this is supposed to be by the same owners of 79. But who knows maybe I just hit an off day. The com tam was way too expensive for what is offered, so I wouldn't recommend. The service was speedy, it's spacey inside, and it feels very clean. Plus you can pay with credit if needed. But personally, for a bowl of pho, I'd rather wait in line and pack cash for pho 79.

Yelp
Terrible experience. The food was very mediocre, the service was very poor, and to top it off, they ripped us off! Soda refills aren't free, but that's not disclosed anywhere on the menu or when you tell the waiters. I was charged for two refills after my husband asked a refill (only he asked for one). $3 extra for watered-down fountain soda that we didn't even order. If it had been canned soda, maybe I could understand, but this was blatant price gouging. The owners and staff operate in a cheap and shady way. When you walk up to the counter to pay, they don't even give you a receipt of what you ordered until AFTER you pay. Overpriced, low-quality food with terrible service. "Sister restaurant to Pho 79"? Absolutely not! Was sorely let down by the positive reviews about this restaurant!

Yelp
Updating my review - which happens to also be their 1000th review! Woot! Pho 101 is literally my go-to in the area for pho. I used to hit up Pho 79 frequently - which is in the same family as Pho 101. 101 is cleaner, their parking lot has fewer potholes (compared to 79) and accepts cash and card. The broth is what makes a pho dish - and the broth here is rich and flavorful. I believe it's made by steeping oxtails overnight - and the oxtails is a side dish you can order with your pho. You choose either a Medium or Large bowl of pho - and can customize your bowl by choosing up to 4 choice of protein. I always get the Pho Tai Nam Gau and Gan (Rare, Flank, Fatty, Tendon) - and occasionally a side of oxtail. A side of fresh vinegar onions, and a hot tea completes my order. Food is great and is always consistent. Everyone I've brought to eat here rave about the food. Service is prompt and friendly. I go here so often, most of the staff remember my order and seating preferences. Noise level is appropriate - there is ample light, plenty of seating, food is ordered efficiently through tablets - and served minutes later. Note: There is only one way to get in and out of this parking lot. Heading Westbound on Edinger towards Bella Terra - it's the first right as soon as you drive down from the overpass between Beach and Newland. If you miss the driveway, you can only U-turn at Edinger/Parkside Lane (where the Springhill Suites is).

Yelp
This is going to my go to pho spot from now on. The moment you walk outside your car, you can smell the delicious pho in the air. I ordered a medium pho, and the one thing that stood out to me about this place was that you can choose 4 different type of meats! They were so generous with their portions too, I could barely finish my medium bowl. The broth itself was super flavorful and piping hot, which was great because we were feeling a bit sick. The quality of the meats were great and surprisingly soft. Pro tip: order the vinegared onions on the side and add hoisin/sriracha sauce then eat it with your meat. So good!
google avatar

Roy C.

Yelp
Big bowl of hot pho with customization. Ordered side of ox and sliced onion. First place I ever had left overs
google avatar

Shelley H.

Yelp
We got sick. This was my favorite Pho place until last week. My husband ordered large beef and was given a different noodle instead. I ordered vegetable and they use frozen vegetables, broccoli only had the stalk. Both orders the broth was so cold, had to microwave 10 mins. Husband and I were BLOATED for 2 days. Too much salt and probably uses MSG. That was our last visit
google avatar

Julie N.

Yelp
My husband LOVES your Oxtail pho. I'm not a fan of pho, however, we do frequent your restaurant on a REGULAR basis. So much so, a few of the servers recognize us and I'm sure the lady at the register does, even tho she's not the friendliest... she always "asks" to include a tip when signing the receipt. SMH One thing that totally bothers me is that I always order the Vercimelli bowl with egg roll. I substitute salad instead of Vercimelli and only do so because one of your nice waiters told me that I could. The salad dressing I prefer is the GARLIC dressing that comes on your Chicken Salad. Difficult? Doesn't seem so, but I pretty much have to show them the name of the dressing that I wrote down "in Vietnamese" before they'll acknowledge it. They act confused and sometimes bring me 2-3 kinds of dressing and the last time I ordered it on 07-25-24. they gave me Vercimelli on top of the salad. Most of the servers "act" like they speak English, but it's getting annoying trying to order this salad without Vercimelli and the garlic salad dressing. I don't mind coming here, but maybe I'll have a friend write down my order in writing, so I can just hand it to them. They seem to understand "Oxtail Pho" just fine. Annoyed.
google avatar

Yelp
Great meal as usual. Consistency with the quick, friendly and hospitable service. Our family loves visiting when in town. Highly recommend the pho!
google avatar

Jeiny R.

Yelp
My bf brought me to this Pho spot and I loved it. I could smell the delicious broth as soon as we drove into the plaza. The location is pretty big so there's enough seating and the wait goes by fast. There were 3 parties before us and were seated in about 15 minutes. You can choose up to 4 meats to include in your pho which I really liked. Parking: We came on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was horrible and very limited. You will most likely drive around the small loop several times and if you're lucky you will find parking. Don't park on the yellow spaces because you risk getting towed. My bf ended up parking across the street because we got seated before he found parking.
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
The entrance is a bit weird as there's only an opening on the right side of Edinger facing beach Blvd so coming from HB going down Edinger, I would always have to bust a u-turn to come into this plaza. There's always ample amount of parking as this is the only establishment open. This place use to be our go to pho spot when they first opened a few years ago as their soup use to be legit. Now the soup have so much msg in it :( We ordered the medium pho with rare steak, fatty and tendon. The steak came well done which was a bit disappointing. The size for a medium is huge. We usually order the large to share. The ox tail was also a bit on the harder side. Overall: Service was really good and they have rented out another unit so now there's a lot more space then before but due to the msg, I'd be less likely to return. The only reason why we decided to give it another go was because our family wanted to eat here.
google avatar

Yelp
Pho - Pho Tai (rare): Pho came out really fast - literraly within 5 minutes of ordering. Broth tasted clean and meats were tender. However there was no fat (bone broth) floating in there at all! I packed it home since I could not finish it and there was not any fat forming at the top either. I always looked for fatty bone broth in Pho but not here. At least they had all the veggies that come with it: Thai basil, Ngo Gai, bean sprouts. Com - Rice w/ Charbroiled Pork and Eggrolls: Rices were dry and charbroiled pork did not taste flavorful. Eggrolls had mushrooms in there which I don't like very much. Fish sauce that comes with the rice dish did not even have any taste of fish sauce it there. It tasted like yellow water with a hint of fish sauce. It was okay. Bun - Vermicelli w/ Charbroiled Pork and Eggrolls: I tasted better. The flavor here is very light for some reasons maybe they cater toward a different customers but I did not get that authentic Vietnamese flavor. The staff is very friendly, polite and quick at greeting and getting your order and walking around to make sure you have what you need. The inside is clean with beautiful wooden tables. The entrance is a bit off but was not hard to find. Parking is open as well, easy to park.

Yelp
A group of six of us went over on a weekend and it was pretty busy but we were seated immediately. Our orders were taken in a timely manner and it wasn't a long wait until we all got our food. I really like that you can mix and match up to 4 proteins for the pho. They are GENEROUS with the servings (both noodles AND meat). The broth was tasty and not overly oily or rich. The vermicelli that my brother ordered looked and smelled delicious. We ordered a couple of iced coffees, Thai iced tea, and a green juice. The green juice was very approachable and mostly tasted like celery and apple. The iced coffee was solid. Did not sample the Thai tea but heard no complaints. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely return. Solid spot for pho. Prices are a little up there but you get what you pay for!

Yelp
My husband and I tried Pho 101, after hearing that this is the second location of Pho 79 (a popular, well known, spot in Little Saigon). My husband got the oxtail Pho and the server recommended he get the bowl of just noodles and soup and the oxtail comes separately. I tried the Pho Tai, Chin, Gau, which consisted of the rare beef brisket, well-done brisket, and fatty beef. All of their cuts of meat were delicious! The oxtail literally "falls off the bone!" The well-done brisket is the best I've had yet! The fatty beef melts in your mouth! So good. Broth was very flavorful as well. The portions of pho noodles and beef were perfect. Service was good. It was pretty crowded on a Sunday early evening, but we were seated right away. Definitely give this spot a try!
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
So my parents (and myself) were in the mood for some pho, and we always pass by the Pho 101 every time we go over the 405 freeway. After I got inside the restaurant, I thought the interior was going to seem a bit cramped since it's right off the freeway, but it felt a bigger than I imagined it to be. My dad ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls, and I ordered my pho with the fatty flank steak and meatballs. The soup itself was piping hot, but still tasted a bit of MSG in the aftertaste, but once the jalapeño peppers and mint was put in, that changed EVERYTHING. As far as the egg rolls were considered, they were crunchy, but not greasy. I would return, but if I was to enter the restaurant without making a whole U-Turn on Edinger, I would take Heil down to Newland and make a circle then right into the restaurant.
google avatar

Gladys F.

Yelp
Still a solid place for pho with quick and decent service. However, there has been a decline in the taste of the broth, it's more bland than previous. Veggies that accompany dishes are fresh and plentiful. Food comes out piping hot. With the high turnover, they do well keeping the tables and area clean.
google avatar

Greg A.

Yelp
I have been here 3 times in the last month or so. Every time I visit I try to order a different dish, first I had the pho, the chicken with rice and then the pork with rice. I have yet to try something that I didn't like. I always order the spring rolls. Service I usually fast. Like the fact that you just pay at the counter and don't have to wait for the check.
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
Best. Pho. Ever We walked in on a Sunday for lunch. We were immediately seated even though we had a group of 8. I ordered a medium pho. You can choose up to four meats. I got mine with rare beef and well done brisket. It was served very quickly. The broth was so flavorful and the meat was extremely tender. I normally never finish my bowl, but this was so tasty I couldn't stop eating until I cleaned the bowl. I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Ginger P.

Yelp
I was very satisfied with my visit here. We were a group of 5 and we got seated promptly in a wide booth. There was even enough room for my friend to bring her baby stroller, so I really appreciate the clean interior and roominess of the restaurant. For food, I got the vermicelli with egg rolls and shrimp. I really like how there is no extra upcharge to get shrimp. However, the shrimp didn't wow me. The star of the show were the eggrolls, which were extremely crispy and flavorful. Another additional upside is that this restaurant allows you to exchange the vermicelli noodles for salad, which is a great option for those on a diet who still want to eat something substantial. They provided a very generous amount of toppings for pho that my friends ordered. Overall, it wasn't the best Vietnamese food I've ever had, but I would definitely revisit if I were in the area again.

Yelp
Always passed by this place but never thought to try it out until someone told me that they were connected to Pho 79 which is my favorite Pho spot in SoCal. The first thing that that really told me that this place was going to be good was the strong smell of pho spices right when you walk into the restaurant. I got the Medium Pho with Rare Beef, Tendon, Fatty Beef, and flank. The portion was perfect and the amount of meat provided was plenty. The broth was a great mix of fatty, beefy, and I loved how you can taste the spices. I recommend getting the sliced vinegar onions and drenching them in hoisin/Sriracha. I will for sure becoming back again since this beats the massive line/wait at Pho 79!

Yelp
The customer service we got was great. they were quick. We had a party of 8 so we had to sit at two tables that was next to us. We ordered a total of 7 bowls of pho (6 medium and 1 large) and two orders of egg rolls. Eggrolls were decent since it's not what we're used to. Seems like the northern style. The temperature of the broth was hot which we don't get much at other pho spots. A medium definitely is big and shareable. Seasoning for us was a bit on the sweeter side.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and delicious food. Sometimes the parking can be tough but would come back again for the authentic Vietnamese food!

Yelp
Absolutely blown away by this place! Always had recommendations to go and compare it to other top pho spots so I came in with high expectations and still was impressed. Service was super fast and friendly, got seated immediately and they took our order as soon as we sat down since we knew what we wanted. The pho broth was incredibly flavorful and not too rich, the noodles were pretty standard but that's good since a lot of places can over cook or undercook their noodles. Highly recommend pairing the meal with vinegar onions to refresh the mouth in between bites :).

Yelp
The Vietnamese restaurant consistently delivers excellent Pho. The meats are all delicious. Don't miss out on the Oxtail bowl. Small but tasty egg rolls with all of the accoutrements. I always feel welcome here and the service is excellent. Not much as far as ambiance but the chairs and booths are very comfortable. You should definitely give this restaurant a try if your palate is craving Pho.

Yelp
Great Pho Spot! Finally tried this place after living nearby for four years. Loved the clean, modern vibe inside and the pho tasted just like the popular spots in Westminster. Got there at 5pm on a Saturday, it was busy but we were seated immediately with alot of open tables available. It got even busier by the time we left around 6:30pm. Ordered the medium pho with tripe, brisket, fatty beef, and tendon. They gave a good amount of meat, better than other places. The beef was super tender and cooked just right. The broth could've had more flavor, but it still hit the spot. I'll definitely be back, it's so convenient and perfect for pho cravings.

Yelp
The best Pho in the world. I usually get pho with no meat and Oxtails on the side. Omg. I drive 30min to have it and it is worth it every bite Service is great as well.

Yelp
Ok. I finally tried the ever so infamous "Pho 101" and it was overall a mid experience. I will give credit for the store being clean with its refined interior design, but the quality of the pho itself and the service definitely needs a lot of improvement. I generally don't like writing bad reviews, but my overall experience here was disappointing. Since a girlfriend of mine and I were feeling a bit under the weather, we decided to check this place out for dinner. I recall not having anything to eat all day and was hungry and whenever I'm hungry, I'm always able to finish an entire bowl of pho myself (can't let food go to waste!), but for some reason I couldn't muster up the energy to finish the bowl of pho tai nam here. The broth just didn't hit the spot for me and what made the first time experience worse was the incredibly rude and unpleasant server. The dude thought that he was cool with his sarcastic humor when he randomly commented to me with his nonchalant facial expression and said "You better finish that bowl of pho" -- I chuckled a bit, but in the back of my mind, I thought: WTF....are you okay!?? Mind you, I usually appreciate humor of all kinds, but this dude's vibe and demeanor just wasn't it. I don't appreciate being talked to as if I'm a child and not only was he so rude and unpleasant, his overall vibe was ignorant and disrespectful. First and last time ever at this restaurant. Pho was a 7/10 and the customer service was a 0/10. Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. You're better off eating at Phoholic or their sister location Pho 79 with servers who focus on just doing their work instead of trying too hard to appear cool but come off as rude. Never coming back.

Yelp
Seen this place off of Beach and always wondered if it was any good. The parking is a bit challenging to get into. I recommend entering through Edinger. We got here on a Saturday evening around 6pm and there was a slight wait but wasn't too bad. Maybe about 15 min or so? The staff hustles here and they really try to seat everyone ASAP. It was our first time so we had to learn how to order. Ordering process wasn't too difficult just needed a bit of explaining. They offer a great way of ordering your soup that I haven't seen before. The wait staff wasn't super sweet or anything but they are helpful and please keep in mind, they're busy trying to get food out and seat everyone. After you eat, you ask for the check and go to the front to pay. The bowls are HUGE. So filling and delicious and well worth the price! I would absolutely come back.

Yelp
I order from here at least once a month. I love getting pho with brisket and tripe and adding in all the sides and then dousing it with a healthy dollop of Sriracha sauce. I get the extra large so I have enough leftovers for the next day. The perfect cloudy / rainy day food and their prices are hard to beat.

Yelp
Ordered a medium pho with 1,2,3,6 and an extra side of ox tail. Called in the order when I was in the area and showed up earlier than expected. They were so on point and friendly with trying to get my food over. I read reviews before ordering and while I normally get a large at most places, I got a medium here and it was more than sufficient. The ox tail falls off the bone. Soooo good. I ended up saving the rest of the ox tail and broth to add noodles the next day. Still so amazing.

The pho was exceptionally delicious, and the price was quite reasonable. The waiter and service staff were very kind and attentive to me.

Yelp
Glad I found this place. Nice decor and plenty of seating and clean nice AC. But most importantly the pho is legit. You can choose up to 4 proteins on large bowl. Pho price is what today's inflation is, but at least they give good size portions. Broth is good and their fried chicken rice with garlic butter sauce is good too. I think this will be a regular spot for me and my family for many more years to come.

Yelp
Still good and still really incredible service. When I went there was six or seven parties ahead of us, one of which was a party of 20(!!!!) I know right? I was like this is gonna take hours. The server said it should be 10-15 minutes. We were seated in 7 minutes and had our orders in within 5 minutes of seating. The food came out super quickly and everything was still so on point. Soups was rich flavorful and satisfying and the noodles perfectly cooked. Large size is incredibly generous portion so only go large if you are feeling ambitious. Prices are reasonable and they are generous with proteins as well. High chairs available for kids and super thoughtful how they also provide food scissors to cut noodles for the littles! Love this thoughtful gesture. Parking is available and loves pretty quick . Always make here a must go when passing through the area! Never disappoints . Same owners as pho 79 if you want good pho with a non cash only + non epic line experience

Yelp
It's the classic pho 79 recipe but with an elevated interior. The combo pho is a must try, you can customize the meat to your tastes, I like the fatty beef the most.

Yelp
Favorite place of all time. Clean, delicious and very friendly service. I come here like every other week. Get the brisket pho, the shrimp spring rolls and the eggrolls for sure.

Yelp
Our go to Pho destination: always delicious, attentive service, and clean space. You MUST try their Crispy Chicken with Garlic Butter Sauce! So delicious and crispy. The Pho is always flavorful, simple and the way it should be. LOVE PHO 101!

Yelp
I visited on a rainy Saturday excepted it to be busy but it was empty and my party of 6 was seated right away. The service here was nice. It is a big spacious restaurant with booths and tables. The utensils on the table took a chunk of the table space though. Their menu is very different from any pho restaurant I have ever eaten at. There's no dac biet which is the house special pho with all the meats it's basically a pho sampler bowl. I like to order that when I try new restaurants but it wasn't an option so I was completely thrown off. You could only chose from medium or large size and chose up to 4 choices of meats if you want more meats you are charged extra. The medium vs large does change the amount of meat in it just means more noodles. Almost everything has an extra charge here from vinegar onions to onion head which is usually free at other restaurants. I ordered a medium bowl with tai, sach, gau, and ve. The food came out quickly. The broth tasted good but could be hotter. The skinny noodles were on the harder side and there was a lot of it in the bowl but barely any meat. It was a very pricey bowl for the scarcity of meat. Also the quality of the meat wasn't that great nothing to rave about. Note: The restroom had 2 stalls for women and was clean enough. Tip: Do not park at the storage parking spaces you will get towed. There is sign saying this on the restaurants door I appreciate the transparency from the business.

Yelp
Pho 101 is kinda hidden in a random plaza by the freeway but it's busy on a Saturday! Very clean and modern looking restaurant, with great service and a wide variety of menu items (not just pho). Food comes out fast. We had the pho and crispy chicken rice with garlic sauce- both were very tasty. Will totally come back!
