Pho 95 Review - Mar Lee - Denver - The Infatuation

"Pho 95 is the kind of place that always seems to have a small wait, be it the depths of winter or a scorching mid-August day. And even though there are easily 15 other pho restaurants within jogging distance, this is the place to go in Little Saigon. The pho, especially the bowls overflowing with the spot’s real claim to fame - a fried-garlic heavy veggie broth - always arrive with heaping plates of basil, dandelion, limes, and beansprouts. Though for anyone not quite so soup-inclined, the menu also has beef short rib plates, noodle bowls, and crispy noodle options." - Colin Wrenn

It's been a long time since I last ate Vietnamese noodles, so I chose this store. The food was very good and met my expectations. The girl who served me had a very good attitude and was very enthusiastic about her work. She actively went to run around and I think she deserves a better tip

Google
There is no better Pho restaurant. I've been enjoying the food here for 5 delicious years. My personal favorites off their menu: beef and chicken vermicelli, pho, vegetable spring rolls, and Vietnamese sandwich. They couldn't taste any better!

Jennifer Lang

Google
Have tried this Pho place a few times and have been impressed with the food quality each time. Excellent boba as well!

Google
Good Pho with a delicate broth. Noodles weren't my favorite, but the meat was tasty. The sprouts were a bit over the hill. The service was fast and friendly

Google
Pho 95 Is my favorite restaurant. The soup tastes great. The service is amazing and the price is great. I would strongly suggest trying the surf and turf. It is incredible.

Google
Good place to have pho, we got the steak and brisket rice noodle soup and the steak rice bowl. They were great and the size is huge! Even though we got a medium portion we had leftovers. The only downside was the pho955 old fashion, it was basically just whiskey, the watermelon martini was ok. Great service by the servers!

Google
I've tried all the pho in Denver. There are a few places that do the trick for me, but Pho 95 absolutely stands out from the rest. The broth is great, the "fixings" are generous, but most importsntly, perfect tendon cannot be found anywhere else. I don't know what secret they have to make such consistently good tendon, but if that's what you're looking for, don't waste your time trying every pho restaurant like I did. This is it. Also, the bar is such a good atmosphere! Would totally be my preferred setting to watch a game.

Google
It's a decent pho spot, veggies are fresh but the meat was very bland. Can't say that this is tge bedt pho spot, but it's definitely good. Server was a bit forgetful and another person took over. They have some pho competition if one can eat a giant bowl of soup. Restrooms are clean but that door needs to be fixed as kidd can see you sitting on the toilet and it's awkward 😳

Yelp
This is such a good place to eat at before a movie. The servers are friendly and polite. The place is clean and deceptively small from the outside. But inside there's two dining areas. Closed captioning TVs available. My friend had secured a table under a Gabriel Landeskog jersey so it was meant to be. So many choices too. I went with the Rare steak and well done brisket rice noodle soup with eggs added. It's one of the popular dishes and I like eggs so I added that to my dish. She chose the grilled shrimp in lemongrass rice noodle bowl. The shrimp she got looked amazing so I'm going to have to get that next time. We also splurged on boba - peach for her and watermelon for me. The watermelon isn't like the fresh squeezed juice but it was tasty. My Rare steak and well done brisket rice noodle soup with eggs was delish. The soup a little salty but it balanced well with the bean sprouts and steak and brisket. I think I would have liked the brisket less well done but overall it was very good. The small size portion was just enough to leave room for the boba drink. Come check them out. The uncle is really nice.

Yelp
Always a favorite place for the entire family. Since their opening, we've been enjoying the delicious items on the menu. Pho 95 has possibly the best Happy Hour also in the Streets of Southglenn and the 80122 area. When you go say hello to Aaron, Vinnie, and the crew.

Yelp
Fresh fresh ingredients! Great service - and DOG FRIENDLY! A go to spot - w great happy hour! Lovely servers !

Yelp
We ordered two combo pho, 1 pho number 7 and a couple appetizers. The appetizers were great but the pho soup was bland. I asked my husband and son and they said the same thing. We go for pho alot so we know what's good what's not. We used to go to this place quite often a long time ago when we used to live at Portola apartments and it was good back then. Our server was good and very attentive. The restaurant also clean and organized. The downside was only the pho soup. But people come for the pho right?!
google avatar

Yelp
Pho 95 is delicious and definitely worth a stop when in southglenn! We visited on the first snow day of the winter, and it hit the spot. Service is really good and attentive. No frills on the inside but gets the job done!

Michael F.

Yelp
I first went to the federal location about 17 years ago and from that moment I fell in love with their food and their hospitality. today I picked up a to go order from the southlands location and still the same fantastic food and service. Aaron his family run both locations so incredibly well and I think they deserve recognition for helping popularize pho in Denver. still the best broth in my opinion!

Scott T.

Yelp
Hand down best Vietmanese food in the South metro area. The staff is friendly and attentive. The Pho is Excellent, but the real treat are their sandwiches OMG and the have a large choice of other traditional Vietnamese dishes. You must tru this place.
google avatar

Douglas I.

Yelp
This is one of the few Vietnamese restaurants in suburbia that goes to the extra effort to serve Vietnamese dishes with the proper herbal accoutrements! Well done! Great service and authentic renditions of Viet cuisine.

Lori M.

Yelp
I went here on Saturday and now have the worst food poisoning of my life. I ordered the beef rice noodle bowl. My friend took my leftovers and now has the exact same symptoms. Something was contaminated or handled wrong, I've never been more sick in my life.
google avatar

Andy H.

Yelp
A real Vietnamese restaurant with an old school vibe. What do I mean? It's Denver CO and there's Asian dads and grandpas on a Saturday morning reading their newspapers while I'm hungover thirty for a bowl of soup. My favorite bowl is from Tony Pho back before Tony stopped working in office. When tech is going back in office, some went the other way. Pho 95's bowl of soup is the closest thing to that and it has a mom and pop shop kinda feel. I did notice that I got plenty thirsty after a few slurps of their pho broth so my guess is they use some kind of bouillon or MSG. It's hard to tell which means their broth still taste great. Pho 95 comes with my recommendation
google avatar

Christy C.

Yelp
Solid pho experience. I came with some friends for lunch and there was not a wait although it was pretty busy. I got the medium chicken bowl and my friends got the rare steak bowl and the vegetarians bowl. I felt the quality was good, the broth was very flavorful and they served it with Thai basil and sprouts. The bowl had a good amount of noodles as well. For the price I had hoped there would be more substance to it in the form of veggies, an egg or something to bulk it up. My best pho experience had all these extras so it's possible I assumed all pho would be that way. I'll definitely return and enjoy it on a cold day. Perhaps the other rice bowl offerings as they looked tasty!

Paul L.

Yelp
Always great and consistent service, food and atmosphere! Very comfortable place to enjoy your meal. Friendly place attracts friendly people!

Yelp
This is my go to Pho place. Best I've had in the area, and not only the pho, everything I've tried is great! The spring rolls are amazing, I love their peanut sauce they serve with them. We got the pork belly sliders last time and I definitely would get them again, the pork was super tender. The service is good but can be a little slow, only because they are usually pretty busy. So give yourself enough time. There is street parking in front of their business or you can use the covered lot near the movie theatre. Both easy to access.
google avatar

Carrie Ann T.

Yelp
I am a Pho queen and this place has the best PHO in town. The staff and everyone is so nice, my teenage daughter begs to come here and bring her friends. This is PHO sure the place to come to.

Jacy L.

Yelp
We have been going to Pho 95 for the past 15 years. We will never eat pho elsewhere. Aaron and Uncle provide exceptional service and make us feel so welcome. Every time someone walks in Aaron greets them like they're family. Incredible food, service and atmosphere.
google avatar

Monique C.

Yelp
This is my family's favorite pho spot to go to. Not only does it have very a friendly staff and owners but the food is on point. The noodles are perfect and the broth is clean and flavorful. Comes with lots of fixings (Basil, lemon grass, limes, jalapeños, bean sprouts) so you can set it up exactly how you like it. Our regular go to items include the rare steak, the meatball, and the chicken. We also enjoy the pork sliders - the only improvement on those would be the ratio of pork belly to bun could be improved a little bit but the taste is oh so worth it! If you love pho you have got to put this place on your list! We just went yesterday and I'm already thinking "when can we go back" :)
google avatar

Kristen R.

Yelp
The food at Pho 95 is always great! Have eaten a lot of items in the menu over the years. Aaron the owner is so welcoming and they have a great happy hour. The pork noodle bowl w egg rolls is one of the best ever! Love the pho and the Vietnamese egg roll appetizer is amazin

Yelp
The cliff notes: this is my favorite pho shop!! Great cocktails, the vegetarian pho is the best I've had, shishitos are so yummy, and the service is fantastic I've been to this location and the one on federal several times. This location has a few more menu options on both the food and cocktail menus. Both locations I've had great experiences at and I will literally drive across town to get their vegetarian pho. All my meat eating friends adore their meaty options as well! Some even order their vegetarian broth with the steak pho. Growing up with pho I've always missed the authentic flavors since becoming a vegetarian. But pho 95 has solved that issue! I would also recommend any of their cocktails- they have a fantastic mango mule and lychee cocktail! I always say pho can cure a hangover, a cold, or any rainy day.

Tee N.

Yelp
This is one of the worst place for pho I could not even swallow the broth because it's horrible
google avatar

Yelp
The Pho king best around. When it comes to my tastebuds and getting a delicious bowl of Pho, I don't mess around, especially on a cold night. Vibrant staff and crowd, plenty of seating, while still busy, we were seated upon arrival and served promptly and courteously. I can really tell this place cares about their Pho and customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service fast and friendly. Foods it's always good and at perfect temperature. The ambiance it's casual with a bar
google avatar

Alexander A.

Yelp
Amazing! The pho they make is very delicious and makes me feel like im in Vietnam. Love it. The waiters and waitresses are always ready to help as you eat. It is also is very busy so I know how good it is.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered form here, honestly only because it was the only place open past 9. The food was terrible. The crab cheese wontons tasted like rancid oil. The spring rolls were basically wilted Taco Bell lettuce with one piece of shrimp and the steak for the pho was questionable. The food was over priced and I didn't even get to eat it because it tasted awful. There are so many better pho places in Denver. Skip this one.

Yelp
This place is located in a modern shopping plaza that looks fancy, so are the prices at this restaurant. Found this place on Yelp and there were so many good reviews so we decided to stop by. The location is super crowd and chaos, took a while to find parking spot. Location has mixed decor between funky Vietnamese decor and some Jersey shirts that were hanging in the wall. We ordered 3 different type of flavor: spring rolls, crab meat and fried shrimp that came with some mints and lettuce wraps. The fried crab were super fishy, the fried shrimp was dry, and the Chinese eggs rolls were a bit cold/ frozen inside. The lettuce wrap has this pungent smell to it/ the mints looked super old. The pho ga- chicken were dry, absolutely no flavor to the broth, definitely not anywhere near pho flavor, and the noodles were stuck together, half frozen. The filet mignon pho was the worst. The meat looked and tasted old. We had couple of bites into the pho bowls and decided to stop eating because our tummy were getting upset. Of all the years of eating pho and cooking pho, this place had to be thumbs down all the way. If I could rate it with no stars, I would! It costed $58 bucks for this meal, overpriced and unremarkable. I would not come back ever and would not ever recommended for anyone. lol elsewhere, there are lots of good pho restaurants in the area with reasonable price and actually taste more like Vietnamese pho!
google avatar

Joel G.

Yelp
I've been coming to this pho place for years and it's always the best pho. Everything is fresh and consistent and everything else I've had on the menu is great also. Some of my favorites are the banh mi's, the chicken wings and the rare steak pho. This is also a great place to come for a few beers and a snack. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Vietnamese food!
google avatar

Theresa R.

Yelp
We really enjoyed Pho here. We had fried rice that had fresh veggies, pho, crispy egg rolls and a lychee martini. Ate while listening to live music. The staff is friendly and helpful. Give it a go. You'll enjoy the freshness of all those veggies.

Ann S.

Yelp
Pho 95 is a neighborhood gem! This Vietnamese restaurant has a diverse menu, appealing to the seasoned Vietnamese diner as well as the "I'll try it" soul. The food is great, service always has a hustle, and the ambience is family friendly. The bar side offers high top dining while watching sports. This is a family owned and run restaurant, it is their presence and appreciation for their patrons that makes us one of their regulars.
google avatar

Lexi W.

Yelp
Great little pho place in south Denver ! I got the beef and tendon with extra veggies. They could've been a little more generous with the meat but the flavor was outstanding! Service is so so and took a little longer but worth it.
google avatar

Graham K.

Yelp
I came here on a Monday afternoon by myself to take on their Pho King Challenge. You get 1 hour to eat 2lbs of meat, 1lbs of rice noodles, and 200oz of broth, along with a side plate of veggies. They say that only 2% of contestants finish. If you do, you get the meal free, a t-shirt, and your name on the wall of fame. Fail, and you pay $39.99 and get a pink shirt that reads "I am a pho king loser." The challenge is not joke, but I was able to get it down in just under 27 minutes. The staff was really great, they wanted me to win. Everyone was nice and encouraging. The interior was clean and the pho was delicious (which made it much easier to eat so much of it. While I'm sick of pho for a bit, I would totally go back.

Flora J.

Yelp
As all ways, Pho 95 is excellent! Excellent food and excellent service. One of our favorite good to's for great food!

Yelp
We just came back here after a few years and were sorely disappointed. First of all, the restaurant felt dirty - there was food on the floor that was not swept up even though it wasn't that busy. There were a few flies inside the restaurant and one of the waiters tried to kill them by swatting a towel but did not clean up the one or two flies he got. We ordered pho and pork chop with rice. The pho was ok but the rice was disastrously mushy and the pork chop tough and chewy. We will not be returning to this restaurant again.

Yelp
Food: Very flavorful, large portions. A wide variety of pho, rice bowls, noodle bowls, etc. The menu has that option-paralysis size of such places, and includes a list of translated ingredients with the worrisome "You will either love it or hate it" next to some of the items, but overall the food is the top draw to the place. We've always enjoyed whatever we ordered. Very, very tasty. Drink: Good lemonade, good vietnamese coffee. 4/5 Service: Service here always takes longer than expected. That dates back to pre-COVID. That's sometimes led to worrisome glances at the watch, as we usually come here before seeing a movie at the Regal down the block. When we've had a problem, though, the staff have usually managed to deliver food and check quickly. Ambience: Large place, well lit, loud and a bit chaotic. Not a place for a romantic date, but fine for a family grabbing a big bite before a movie. In sum: Definitely worth a visit, though leave yourself time to enjoy it.

Robert T.

Yelp
Best Pho in south metro area. Fast, friendly takeout. Parking is challenging in the area.

Yelp
Sincerely, I'm easy to please and typically give the benefit of the doubt. I have to say, this place ruined my Friday night. I got a to go order of crab cheese wontons and a rare steak and brisket pho along with hubby's pho order of fried tofu. I don't know how everything came out grey and green, eww! I think my crab cheese wontons were left overs from yesterday and obtained meat from a week or so ago. I thought this place was the sister company of the best pho spot off federal, but I guess not. Please Pho 95 - don't be cheap and please give folks fresh meat and wontons. Perhaps my order was a one off based on reviews, but I recommend a different pho place. Thanks for listening.

Yelp
I love this place. Its very good and the service was wonderful. Pho is one of my favorite meals and I am very picky about where I eat. This place is highly recommended.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
I'm spoiled for Vietnamese because I live so close to Pho 95. It's consistently delicious. Service can be hit or miss but we usually order to go anyway. I get #8 Pho: rare steak and tendon. Yuuuum. My husband loves the pan fried noodles--they have a really special texture and are always delicious.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
I have tried many other PHÓ places and I always return back, because it turns out it's by far my favorite and I love the owner. so next time you go and say hi to Erin. He is such a hard worker and always appreciates a kind face. Don't be surprised if he remembers your name the next time you come in after he's only met you once. I was just there the other day I might have to go back soon I love this place I eat it all year long it's just not a cold food thing I eat it on a hot day as well. I WOULD go back you need to go try it.
google avatar

Nathaniel P.

Yelp
Great food, great service! The food is consistently great and everyone is very friendly! The ambiance keeps me coming back!
google avatar

Mai N.

Yelp
Ordered take out from here the other night and I was surprised at their menu choices! Not your typical Pho place! They had everything from kobe sliders to short ribs, I even saw Escargot. I got the short ribs thinking it would be similar to Korean Galbi, it was better! I can't exactly say what was in the sauce but it definitely had the typical Vietnamese flavors. Their fried egg rolls were the best I've had anywhere! I'd like to point out the staff was so nice and pleasant! They're offering curbside right now as well. The restaurant looks nice too (from what I can see on the outside) I would love to dine in when its allowed again. It's in a nice, well lit area surrounded by shops and parking right in the front.

Ken B.

Yelp
Pho is always about the same no matter where I go. Pho 95 does a really good job. Huge portions. Tastes great. Unassuming place with very good Pho. Give it a try.
google avatar

Cool K.

Yelp
Honestly, this place is great. Large portion sizing, the servers are super friendly, and the food is delicious. I think the only complaint I would have is that the appetizers are expensive compared to everything else.
google avatar

Matty S.

Yelp
Moving to Colorado from Los Angeles, I've been pretty disappointed by some of the things that pass as pho around Denver. That is, until I came to Pho 95! This place is as good as any LA or NYC-based pho place I've visited. And the most surprising part is their consistency. I've been here around twice a month for a year now and they never have an off day. Amazing pho very single time. And that's not the only thing on the menu either. I've also had amazing Banh Mi sandwiches and noodle bowls as well. Don't be discouraged by this place being in a suburban outdoor mall. It's a diamond in the rough well worth leaving the city for. I haven't even been able to give another pho spot a chance because this place is just that good.

Ana R.

Yelp
The food and service here is excellent!!! We love this place! Food always hot and good! Drinks cold and the staff makes you feel welcome! And the atmosphere is usually very family oriented.

Perla R.

Yelp
Wonderful place! Excellent service and the food was amazing! We ordered the calamari appetizers, shrimp spring rolls, shrimp Pho & combination Pho everything was delicious! Service was fast and our server was attentive and very polite. We are Visiting from Arizona this was a nice treat!
google avatar

Kristen B.

Yelp
Usually love pho 95 but after finding a hair in my food I don't think I'll be back. Have never had this issue before and food is normally great.

Marcus A.

Yelp
Best pho in Denver area by far. Service could use one more waiter as they are always understaffed otherwise food is great
google avatar

Ben K.

Yelp
It's decent. Service is good. I've never seen them screw anything up. It's what you'd want when you go out for Pho.
google avatar

Jerry H.

Yelp
We have been going here for years. It's my favorite pho, or fried noodle or egg roll bowl (these being my favorite dishes) place. They make real lemonade here as well, although I always ask for 1/2 sugar because it can be a bit sweet on occasion, and they make it by the glass!

Susan D.

Yelp
They also have the BEST Pan Fried Noodles! We've had it at both locations and have tried it at two other restaurants but they weren't anything like it and not nearly as good.
