Phở Bac - Review - Chamblee - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Phở Bac is nearly impossible to see from the road. But their hidden placement in a nondescript Chamblee shopping plaza doesn’t stop their red booths from filling up at lunchtime with groups of friends, solo diners, and business colleagues taking a break from their cubicles. It’s a go-to for one reason: a giant variety of solid Vietnamese staples." - Juli Horsford

Atlanta’s Top Chefs Reveal Their Go-To Spots for a Power Lunch | Eater Atlanta

"Favored for casual industry meetups because service is fast and the pho is a top pick; the informal, anonymous atmosphere makes it easy to talk about menus, ideas, and internal issues without feeling observed." - Henna Bakshi

Best Vietnamese and Pho Restaurants in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Located in the Orient Center (also home to Gu’s Kitchen and Penang) on Buford Highway, Pho Bac has been a popular spot for pho for over 25 years now. But the restaurant is also a solid option for bowls of bún bò huế and bánh mì, too. There’s also a Duluth location." - Eater Staff

Best Atlanta Restaurants Recommended by Atlanta Chefs | Eater Atlanta

"Brian So counts Buford Highway Vietnamese restaurant Pho Bac among his favorite places to dine off the clock. “I make a weekly trip to Buford Highway for personal and restaurant shopping, and this is my go-to for a quick, satisfying, and usually solo meal,” he says, calling the pho here the “most consistent” in Atlanta. “The broth is always clean and never over-seasoned, meat portions always the same, and noodles never over-cooked. It’s affordable and I can be in and out in 15 minutes when I need to eat on a hectic day.”" - Beth McKibben

Absolutely the BEST Pho in the Atlanta area. The broth is perfect. I’ve been eating pho since 1991, the first time in Ho Chi Minh City and have eaten pho from Cambodia to Germany, from Stockton, CA, Denver, Mpls/St.Paul, Chicago, Boston, Nashville, and many places in between. Phở Bắc ranks as some of the best I’ve had ANYWHERE. Definitely worth giving it a try. It’s delicious.

Very pleasant and efficient dining with friendly service and reasonable price. Pho Tais and Bun Bo Hue excellent with well cooked authentic ingredients. Prawn cakes was a bit disappointing, hardly tasting any prawn. Presentation could also improve. Cha gio was well made and delicious. Restaurant was clean and spacious and plenty of parking.

We had the pho. The quantity was good for the price. It had a lot of meat in it, we really enjoyed it. We also had the chicken sandwich, it was good. I just wish the pho was a bit more warm. I always enjoy when the pho is pretty hot. The service was fast so we didnt have to wait for our food long.

I’ll Try I.

Service was immediate to bring drinks. The food was hot and fresh. The Bahn Mi had the perfect crunch to the bread with the inside still being a little soft and not hurting your mouth as you chew. The noodles were delicious, and the broth very flavorful. Prices were also very affordable, and all of the work staff was kind and helpful.

Meat to rice ratio is pretty damn good. Had to ask for an extra bowl of rice. Service is great, quick and very friendly. For sure coming back to try other dishes

An OG on Buford Highway, Pho Bac has not disappointed yet. Today was rare beef, flank, tendon and tripe. Clean with plenty of veg on the side.

Tasty, hot, fresh! I had the shrimp pho with meatballs. Lots of fresh basil and jalapenos and lime wedges. Asked for fish sauce and chili oil to go with the table Sriracha and they had both. We also ordered spring spring rolls and they were yummy!!

This low key local eatery is a great spot to slurp a delicious bowl of Pho and chew into a meaty bahn mi. Lots of options and plenty of other noodle dishes. Fast and friendly service. I had the salted limeaid.
