"Phở is the only dish on the menu here, and it only comes in medium and large, so come hungry. This quaint, cash-only trailer on Houston’s southeast side consistently impresses with its rich broths, fresh meats, and budget-friendly prices." - Minh Truong

"Phở Bình sets the bar for great phở. The broth is a cosmic coming together: not too fatty, not too thin, not overly aromatic or beefy. There’s a depth of flavor that other places try to duplicate by injecting fat in broth, but here it’s straight Goldilocks: deeply complex and somehow delicate. The thick slices of beef in the dặc biệt tái is marbled and rare and fresh, as though your grandmother just cut it for you at home. The phở gà khô, which has chicken instead of beef, is served with a jammy egg and broth on the side, and its richness is ethereal. This is phở at its absolute best, served since 1983 out of the original location: a converted trailer track home off a nondescript road in Pearland (it has since expanded to nine locations all over the city). The inside is tiny, with mirrors on both ends to make it appear larger. The service is fast, because most people know what they want, and the food comes out even faster. If you’re in the area, you can order and slurp down a bowl for lunch in under 20 minutes. Come hungry, and bring cash. " - Chelsea Thomas

"We'll admit: It doesn't look like much from the outside. But aren't all good hole-in-the-wall restaurants this way? What Pho Binh Trailer lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in its namesake dish, serving world class pho out of an actual trailer on Beamer Road in South Houston. Just remember: cash only." - Charu Suri, Diana Oates

Google
Definitely one of the best places to get Pho in the Houston area. This pho is full of flavor and comes out incredibly fast. This places only makes a batch a day, so be sure to swing by for lunch and try this hidden gem!

Google
Pho Binh has been on my list of must eat Pho for a few years. The Pho here is the best, if not one of the best, around the Houston area. As mentioned in other reviews, the pho bowls are smaller compared to other restaurants. Meat portions are on the skimpy side and not the best quality. The atmosphere is a little run down, but I'm okay with it. My noodles were slightly too soft. The most important visit to this restaurant was the Pho broth, and it was amazing. One of the best Pho broths in America and anyone who loves Pho needs to try this place.

Jason Lynch

Google
Pho prices have gone up and the bowl sizes are smaller. Almost no meat in $10 bowl. Good yes , but I left hungry. Don't like leaving a restaurant hungry or sharing a table or getting in and out of the parking spaces.

Daniel Ngo

Google
This is hands down the best pho restaurant that I've been to in Houston. I have often said that there are about four categories of pho for me: really bad, restaurant pho, my grandma's pho, and pho in Hanoi. This place really breaks down that barrier between restaurants and home made pho. The broth is light and flavorful. It isn't too salty or oily or heavy which some other places often have. The noodles really shine here. I find that all too often the noodles at restaurants are kind of hard and undercooked, like they were cooked and left in the bowl all day. The noodles here are moist but still firm. Easy to slurp up! I've always heard good things about this place, and it has surpassed my expectations. The Vietnamese coffee was also excellent. It has the right balance of being very strong and still sweet. The service was incredibly fast too. One thing I wouldn't recommend is the tendon here, as it was a bit tough and overcooked. Also, this place is cash only Overall, don't let the outward appearance of this small trailer fool you. The food makes it well worth the trip for any pho lover.

Lang Nguyen

Google
This place is probably the best pho made in Houston! They only take cash at this location, but it's totally worth stopping at the ATM for. Definitely recommend trying this place!

Fransiska G

Google
Awesome Pho as always. I'm so happy to see them again open. The best PHO!! Yummmm

Lisa Blackwell

Google
This place is busy on a Saturday morning, but the service is fast and friendly and the pho is quite possibly the best in town. The iced coffee is great too. CASH ONLY.

Andrew Tong

Google
The legends are true! Been to my fair share of pho places but this one is the best. Maybe not drive all the way across town good, but in terms of flavor it's top. My friend got the special, the broth was so complex and layered. I got the dry chicken pho, it didn't have that signature oil/sauce (or as much of it) though so that wasn't as good as expected.

Yelp
When the topic of best pho in Houston comes up, Pho Binh Trailer consistently comes up in the conversation. They get extra points from me for opening up at 8 in the morning. After working overnight, a big bowl of pho hits the spot. As the name states, this is indeed a trailer, doublewide I would assume. Hole in the wall describes this place perfectly. If you're looking for super friendly customer service, you ain't getting it here. The menu is small and they have people in and out of here in record time. It really is a well oiled machine. I've only dined in with one companion and we more times than not have shared a table in the small dining area. When it comes to pho, I am a creature of habit and almost always get some variation of rare meat and meatballs. Here it is the #11 Tai Bo Vien. You have a choice between a medium or large size. I find the medium leaves me just about filled up, so for just a dollar more, I go with the much larger and substantial large size. It really is one of the better bargain meals in town. The food comes out in record time with all the fresh fixins. The broth comes out piping hot but does cool down quick. I put what I like in and dive right in. I don't know what they do with their broth, but it has some deep, rich flavors that I have a hard time finding elsewhere. It is absolutely delicious and so satisfying. I usually wash it down with the tasty Vietnamese iced coffee which makes the whole meal a breakfast of champions. Pho Binh Trailer is definitely one of the best pho options on the Southeast side of town and I will be back!

JadyMarie D.

Yelp
We love to visit Pho Binh Trailer if we are lucky enough to be in the area when they are open. This is probably one of the best authentic flavored places on this side of town. The broth is so delicious that its doesn't need any additives. Pho Binh Trailer is the benchmark that my friends and family use to rate Pho. We typically enjoy: - Special Combination Pho - Plain Noodle Soup - Noodle soup with meatballs - Fresh squeezed lemonade - Iced tea - Coconut juice If you havent visited Pho Binh Trailer yet, I hope you give them a try. It's definitely worth the drive.

Jin L.

Yelp
Soooo good! This place is our favorite pho restaurant. It's a far drive but we'll worth it. Their broth has a rich bone flavor but still very clean and not too heavy.

Chef T.

Yelp
Best pho broth in Houston!! Many sizes, lots of options and tight parking. Restaurant is inside a trailer but the wait for the broth is so worth it.

Lauren T.

Yelp
I've been ever since I was a little kid and their pho is ALWAYS the best. I've traveled across the states and even went to Vietnam and tried pho from the place of origin... still not as good as pho binh. Whenever I'm sick I always get pho binh - think of it as the Vietnamese equivalent of chicken noodle soup. I usually go for the chicken pho (pho ga) and pho dac biet. During the summer when it's super hot I get the dry chicken pho. Prices are always affordable, portions are great, and the staff is always attentive. People who live in or are planning to visit Houston... go to pho binh! The best place to get pho in the whole wide world.

Jose V.

Yelp
Delicious! Is what my taste buds felt when I ate some delicious Pho from Pho Binh! The broth had a very unique home made taste that makes me crave for more Pho! I was told that if you do want some, to get their early in the day before they run out, cause once it's out, it's out for the day I will definitely be back for more

Tony T.

Yelp
This has to be the best Pho in all of Houston. If anyone says otherwise, they are crazy. Be aware you may be seated next to random strangers due to their small eating area but it doesn't bother us at all. The first test of a good pho broth is to taste it without adding sauces at all. It passes with flying colors. Friendly, fast and efficient staff. Being that pho is their only type of dish, you can expect to order and get your dish pretty quick. They are open each day until they are sold out, to which they close afterwards. Real pho broth takes hours upon hours each day to make so they make "enough" to serve that day and if it's out then they are done, doors closed. Portions are perfect for the price. We've been going here for almost over a decade now. Hasn't change and we hope they never do.

Gene L.

Yelp
Years later, and still doesn't disappoint. Still the best pho and broth in Houston, hands down. Tips: - Cash only - They don't give you a menu unless you ask for one (FYI in case it's your first time) - If the parking spots in front of the trailer are taken, there's an adjacent dirt/grass lot with plenty of spots - There are multiple Pho Binhs, but they are not equal: the trailer on Beamer is the best of them all - Opens until broth runs out or they sell out, which is often much earlier than published closing times

Joe A.

Yelp
Still my go to Pho in town. Broth is the star here. I never finish my broth at other Pho restaurants but I just about lick the bowl dry here. This location is the original and the best of the Pho Binh around town. Note, they usually sell out around 2 pm, sometimes earlier so call if you're coming for a late lunch. Also, the family closes up shop in the summer time. So call to check during those months.

Daniel E.

Yelp
My favorite Pho place in the city. Finally a Pho restaurant that doesn't feel the need to overwhelm its patrons with star anise or cloves or any of the other aromatic's. This place is so confident in its quality that they actually allow you to taste your meats and noodles. When I'm in the mood for Pho I am looking for good down to earth comfort food not a sinus cleanser. Fresh ingredients with people who care about what they are serving and specializes in just that gives you the assurance that this is top notch Pho. But know that this place is getting more and more popular and parking and seating aren't always easy to come by. But this is a place I'm willing to park a block away to eat their fabulous Pho.

Kimbo V.

Yelp
I was hoping to love this place, but I have to be honest! (I don't care if this restaurant is a trailer, a truck, or a cardboard box. I'm solely reviewing the pho here.) My boyfriend and I ordered pho đặc biệt, but there was nothing đặc biệt about it to me! The broth was bland and there was an obvious lack of noodles and meat. No amount of hoisin sauce would have fixed it. We both left unsatisfied and rather disappointed. My boyfriend recalled eating here years ago and remembered it being decent. Not any more! Some people here mentioned that they prefer the pho here instead of chinatown pho because the spices in the broth aren't as overwhelming. Maybe I'm just used to chinatown pho!? Or maybe they're inconsistent with the broth... The reviews here have me confused enough to give this place another chance if I'm ever in the area again. But beware chinatown pho lovers...it probably won't be what you're used to.

Emjay L.

Yelp
The food was on point. It has a lasting flavor. Very fast and friend service. Best in the area.

Woo T.

Yelp
Best pho I have had anywhere. I always get extra meatballs as well. I have friends who are Vietnamese who live out of state who make sure to visit this place when in town. It's that good. The other locations are decent but nothing is as good as the OG. Only downsides: cash only as well as tiny parking lot in front so you probably will have to park in the grass lot that is quite steep to enter (aka don't bring your low-riding sports car).

David G.

Yelp
The broth is very flavorful and tasty, which is always the key to a good pho. A bit oily on the surface but it didn't taste heavy or greasy. Service was fast and excellent. A site of immigrant's success story and well worth a visit.

Arthur S.

Yelp
Best pho in the area! The broth itself is delicious and their prices are very reasonable too.

Richard T.

Yelp
Homeboy said come on to the trailer, it's the best pho he's ever had. Said the Ga pho kho (I'm viet but not a writer) aka the dried chicken pho, was amazing here. I've never had dry pho or pho ramen and I wasn't about to start now lol. You get a small bowl of broth with your pho, but you end up pouring that in or getting a spoon full anyways. Why not just get regular lol. Clowns. I think half my of my favorite thing about ramen or pho is the broth mixed w every bite. I like to drink it sometimes, maybe even take a bath in it. Anyways, came on a Sunday morning w the squad, around 10am and it was already crowded. Basically two grade school portable class rooms mushed together, it really is like a trailer home. You walk in and immediately you are eating spring rolls off the first customer's table, that's how tight it is. But jk though, I don't think they serve anything besides pho. I think the nice waitress saw me and thought we were all viet, tried to take our orders in viet, I appreciated it, but I speak on a 2nd grade viet level. I ended up getting a large pho tai bo vien, too lazy to check the spelling, but basically meat ball and thin rib eye meat. It was good, I felt it was a little skimpy on the meats. Definitely a good spot but not sure I would drive out here if you live up north. Might try the other locations to see what's up.

Kevin F.

Yelp
It's super authentic and delicious. Don't expect to be treated like royalty because this place is realistic. Great food, fast, inexpensive, and no-nonsense. A+ broth.

Gray T.

Yelp
A nice small Vietnamese restaurant with a nice variety of menu. I like their full chin soup and crawfish. You can also get smoothies.

Marshall C.

Yelp
I'm not a fan of pho but this place is actually legit. Place is kinda run down but if you don't care about that pho is legit. Also CASH ONLY!

Alice W.

Yelp
Pho Binh has really expanded in the past few years with locations in the Heights, Westheimer, 59 South, Barker Cypress, Bellaire boulevard. This is the original location and it's constantly packed. There are 2 small rooms to dine in, and you might have to share a table. At this location, they keep the menu simple and only serve pho and beverages. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Once they are sold out, they are closed for the day. Pho binh's beef pho broth has a distinct taste in that it has a bit of a seafood taste. The beef pho broth is solid, but not the best in town in my opinion. The item that really stands out here is the pho ga kho (dry chicken pho with chicken broth on the side). The chicken is tender and moist and the noodles are soft and smooth. They are cash only, so remember to bring cash with you! The parking lot right in front of the restaurant is small and cramped. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot adjacent to the restaurant, and you'll likely have better luck parking there.

Travis N.

Yelp
Been going here since i was a kid. Best spot in houston for the best pho. Make sure to bring cash because they dont take credit card. I always get the tai nam bo vien (steak meat, meatballs, brisket meat) or the pho ga kho (dried chicken with soup on the side) . Lemonade or Vietnamese coffee are good choices there.

Dat N.

Yelp
There's not much to say about this place, if you live around the Southbelt area then you know PHO BINH! Pho Binh is the best in this area in my opinion. There is limited seating and it gets super crowded very quickly so you may have to share your table with others. The wait is worth it trust me, have been going to trailer for years!! Don't take my word for it check out the reviews for yourself, once you're done make your over there!

Christina H.

Yelp
DO NOT be intimidated upon coming to this hole in the wall. You may have seen Pho Binh all over Houston, but this is THE original! I love that Pho Binh Trailer hasn't changed a thing about its establishment. I've been coming here for the past 20 years, and I still love it! I started off eating their Pho Ga, which is their Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup, but they have strayed off from serving white meat, to more dark meat for flavor. The next best thing would be their Pho Tai ___ (Pho Tai Nam/Brisket, Pho Tai Bo Vien/meatballs, etc)! The reason why Pho Binh is SO good is because of their Pho Bac recipe-- beef bones engorged with spices to create a rich, flavorful broth.

Jasmine G.

Yelp
I love the authentic flavor of the broth and the noodles are amazing! Don't let the outside appearance of this place fool you! It is family owned and the best time to go is before noon!

Antoinette M.

Yelp
I dream about this pho every time I'm craving pho! The broth is so flavorful and yet so light. The broth is definitely very fresh. The meat is hand cut and for some reason, it makes it taste all the better. A small bowl is about $6 and I can't help but always order the large because the broth is just that great and I can't have enough of it. I rarely drink the entire bowl of soup, but it always seem to happen here. You also have to get thai tea here, it so bomb! It is always the right amount of sweetness and they steep the tea heavily so it doesn't taste watered down.

Laura P.

Yelp
looks like a small hole in the wall place; but do not be fooled. inside holds some of the tastiest and authentic pho the city has to offer. you get served quick and it was less than $20 per person. great for this cold weather we've been having

Brighton S.

Yelp
Best pho I've ever had. Really soft noodles, vegetables were extremely fresh, and meat was super tender. Also, their homemade soybean milk is so delicious. Service was super fast, and they are really friendly! As a white dude, felt super welcomed there.

John H.

Yelp
Don't be fooled by its appearance on the outside, because the food will absolutely tell you differently! This is my favorite spot to go to every week for pho. The food is amazing, the pricing is really fair (about $10 for a large bowl), and what I honestly love most is that the service is ridiculously fast. As a regular, I would come in, and order and have the food brought out to me within 5 minutes! Although this spot is delicious, some cons are that the spacing is very limited, if you are coming during rush hours, there's a possibility that you may be seated with others because of the spacing, and it is a cash only restaurant, otherwise than that, Pho Binh is 100% worth the experience!

Leonardo F.

Yelp
Hands down the best Pho I've ever tasted. The place is small and can get crowded. Certainly one of those hole in the wall places that you need to eat at!

Jun L.

Yelp
Best Pho I've had hands down!! We ordered and it took less than 5 minutes for the food to come out. I recommend getting the largest sized bowl because you won't be able to stop. Oh and its cash only!

Jaims G.

Yelp
Best bowl of pho $9 can buy! The building is a hidden away shack... a shack of pure flavor.

Melody D.

Yelp
Top Reason why I came home often from college: Specifically to get Pho Ga Kho from here on Saturdays.....Oh, and to visit my family of course! This place has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. Same place, same atmosphere, same bowl of pho and every time it just hits the sweet spot. If you're reading this, STOP! JUST GO TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!

Amy J.

Yelp
I finally tried this place based on great reviews and now very puzzled by the reviews. The place is not an ideal place to enjoy your meal, it was the most STRESSFUL meal I've ever had! Place is very small so you have to share table with other people. Their portion is deceiving because the bowl is large size but the portion is small size with few pieces of meat! Bottom line is that this place is over rated, I'll never recommend this place to anyone!

Mr. F.

Yelp
When you hear about strong Vietnamese food in Houston, this is what you want. They do one thing and one thing only - pho - and they are masters of it. Beef and chicken broth options, a variety of meat choices, and different bowl sizes. That's really it! Highly recommended, extremely flavorful. What you want if you prefer authenticity over a ritzy experience. This place has charm - how could a converted trailer home packed tight with tables, a minuscule parking lot that makes parking feels like high-stakes Tetris, and a cash only pay at the front model not have charm?! Hopefully you like charm, because it's delicious.

Liz I.

Yelp
To go order, order was ready right away. Service was good. I ordered a medium bowl of nam, gân and it was pretty decent. Was this the BEST pho? No it wasn't, in my honest opinion, for comparison, in the local area I prefer Pho Thy's pho. Was is good? Yes, I enjoyed the pho. The inside was interesting, but you are there for pho not the atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, this is a good place for a bowl of pho.

Cindy C.

Yelp
Love the soup in pho, I am allergic to MSG and this place does not make my mouth feel dry after taking all the soup. Always good never disappoint!

John L.

Yelp
It's what it is. A Vietnamese restaurant with a low budget look that's been around for a while. I learned it's a mobile home trailer that has been around for over 25 years. They are metaphorically like that SNL skit from long ago where scotch tape was sold, only Scotch tape. This is all the Vietnamese you want as long as it's Phò, and a drink. It reminds me of the Vietnamese restaurants that were around back in the early 90s . No frills, low cost, sometimes a language barrier, but always delicious. This place did not disappoint. It's cash only so take your pretentious credit card paying self somewhere else. Also, none of the three doors that face the parking lot has a sign to let you know which one to enter. Just swipe yourself right and you will be good to go.

Aryani N.

Yelp
There is limited parking, so I wouldn't bring a crowd here unless y'all are carpooling. There are like 3 doors, you enter to the door on the right, if you miss it, someone will come get you. The menu is small, which is legit for a pho place. it has a very classic mom and pop feel inside. The pho comes out very fast, good portion size, clean broth- which I love! Service is prompt, and you're really in and out within like 30 minutes. Last but not least, tip your server in Cash, because it is a cash only place! I predict this place is pretty busy after church, but they do open early and so you can order take out! Enjoy yall1

Thuc V.

Yelp
This place has been on my bucket list for many years. Now I can say I've made it here! Unfortunately, the excitement stops right there. I don't mind eating in a small trailer; it actually has its charm. However, it's the pungent smell of beef that put me off. You may say what do you expect from eating Pho bo (beef) noodle soup, but I don't know. It's just not for me. Other customers seemed to enjoy it though. The place was almost packed to its capacity when we went there on a Saturday afternoon. I can say the Vietnamese cafe sua da was excellent.

Peter C T.

Yelp
This pho place is iconic for h-town. However the quality has gone down, at least for my last 2 visits in the past 6 months.

Lina Z.

Yelp
As you can see from the pictures, the meat comes out on the rarer side, but that changes a few minutes later from the hot soup. Definitely one of my top 2 Pho places in Houston. Soup tastes fresh and homemade and the wait is minimal once you're seated. The place is very small, but clean and efficient. Also the least expensive Pho place I've been to, which is amazing considering the high quality ingredients. There may be a wait to get a table, but that's because it's a popular place, which is usually a good sign. This location has been here for over 20 years now, and still kicking. Make sure to bring cash.

Zavannah D.

Yelp
Extremely small space the Phô is OK Only good when your kid trying to cure a hangover. They don't except cash

Super M.

Yelp
Definitely not a place you judge from the outside. Other than they only accept cash. The Pho and service is second to none. Nice Find!!!!

Navin B.

Yelp
So far my favorite place for Pho in Houston. No frills and they only make so much for a day so when it's gone, it's gone. Go early. And make sure they are open before you go.

Josh M.

Yelp
I have heard about Pho Binh practically my whole "adult" life. Since coming out of High School, my friends, colleagues, and family have expressed their interest in Pho! I was always intrigued and after years of "maybe one day, but not today." mentality, I tried Pho Saigon in Midtown and taken back. Its a whole meal and not just a bowl of soup. Excited to tell my sister, she tells me that I need to try Pho Binh by the house and its amazing. If you haven't been lucky to know anyone who has eaten here, its cash only and they close early. For $8, it really is a great deal and its surprisingly quick setup due to the broth being on standby, makes this one of the best places in the southbelt to have fresh food available. Appearance-wise, the parking lot is not great, and the confusing entrance on the right side, not underneath the restaurant sign was a throw off. I was immediately greeted, who I discovered was the owner having a cup of coffee, she put her drink down and took me to my table and once I was finished ordering, I was given a bowl of steaming fresh pho in 3 minutes! Their broth is oh so refreshing and just delicious and light. Light meaning that it is very pure and not a lot of cloudiness that some bone broth can have. Their jalapenos are spicy, I would be careful, but overall a perfect bowl. I would definitely recommend anyone in Southeast Houston to try it, if their hours were a little later, I would be here more often.

Timothy P.

Yelp
I have been going here intermittently ever since I was a kid! Even now, the place serves fantastic pho. I almost always order the pho ga kho. The herbs and vegetables all seem to be fresh. The broth was delicate, yet full of flavor. The chicken was tender and juicy. Simply delicious for an affordable price! Cool history on pho! The specific origin of pho is unknown, but North Vietnam was considered to be one of the first to have pho as a dish around the 1920s. Though, the early pho dish was much simpler in ingredients than it is today. Initially, pho would just have the rice vermicelli, broth, and usually just rare steak as the meat. Pho then began to have different meats, onions, herbs and vegetables when the North Vietnamese people migrated to South Vietnam following the partition of Vietnam in 1954. Pho started to bloom in popularity around the world during and after the Vietnam War due to the mass migration of vietnamese people.

Jessica V.

Yelp
I've been here 2x and each time I woke up at 8 am to get there. I'm from Florida and still dream about this place!! As a Floridian who struggles to find good pho in Florida, this place makes me want to move to Houston. I would wake up and eat a bowl everyday if I could. I tried the beef pho combo and chicken pho. Personally liked the chicken pho a lot more, the broth was clear and sweet, it tasted like it could cure any illness. It's small but the pho is really worth it and it's very affordable too!! It is CASH ONLY.

Danielle N.

Yelp
My family and I always come here for pho after Sunday mass. It gets super packed at this time but the wait isn't long at all. They are known for their pho ga kho (dry chicken pho with a bowl of broth on the side). Cons: cash only, closed Mondays

Julie V.

Yelp
Delicious! Can sell out some come early. Line out the door after 11 or so. Great prices!

Dorothy T.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!!! This is the best pho in Houston, and maybe even Socal (where I grew up)! The broth is worth driving far away from central Houston for. Haha. Seriously. Go there for the pho. If you like other Vietnamese dishes like spring rolls or vermicelli bowls, this isn't the place for that. It IS a trailer, so the seating is tight, and sometimes you have to wait. Also, it's A TRAILER. Bare bones, no crazy decor or furniture. The broth is so worth it though!
