"SE Hawthorne noodle house Pho Dalat appears to have shuttered. The restaurant’s phone number has been disconnected, and the space looks abandoned with a makeshift car wash in the parking lot. Pho Dalat was known for inexpensive bowls of steaming beef noodle soup and bun, with welcoming service. However, it rarely appeared on best-of lists for Vietnamese restaurants. The same name restaurant on NE Sandy remains open." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Pho noodle soup was great C-9, salad tools tasted great but they weren’t fresh. Inside of restaurant has tables and mostly it’s booths which is convenient. Pho was hot. Hot tea and iced water is included in your menu. With no charge. Great food.

The food here was ridiculously salty!!! We ordered a plate of Dalat salad with rare meat, but it came out all onions with just a few thin slices of meat. The service was okay. The decoration in this restaurant needs to be renewed maybe.

My FAVORITE place to get Pho! I've tried several different places in the Portland/metro area and keep coming back to Pho Dalat! They're food is wonderful, consistent, inexpensive and the wait staff is very friendly. Don't be discouraged by the older decor, with the prices they charge, they can keep the funky style. They're great! Anytime I have friends or family in town, that's where I take them!

This is my favorite pho place in Portland plenty of vegetables and tofu in the pho and other dishes, the very large spring rolls are a must. very friendly service. My only problem is they don't serve beer. Otherwise they'd get 5 stars. Good for vegans :).

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant. I get dinner to go from Pho Dalat 2 about twice a week. Great food, and fast friendly service. I don't know how they do it. The menu is several pages long. Enough pages that I could not tell you how many pages without going back and counting them. My favorite is a small E9. Now you have to go there to find out what that is.

I've never been ignored at a restaurant before today and that just happened at Pho Dalat. The food is great but it's not worth it. Being a server myself I was appauled by my treatment today. Our server walked past us and even looked at us (we were sitting directly in front of him) but never approached us. Eventually after sometime he watched us stand up, put on our coats, and leave without a word. I will never spend another dime at this establishment.

Delicious. Be aware of what you are ordering especially if you like lean meat like me. They are very clear about it on their menus so give it a good read if you're picky about your cuts. The vegetables are always supremely fresh, I love the sauce selection and the broth.

Believe me when I say that I was against Pho for a long time. I have high expectation standards when it comes to soups. But Pho Dalat did not disappoint. It really made me come around and give Pho another chance. My bf and I both got the C9 the round top and brisket. The broth was made with a light flavor that still had the richness of the beef broth with onion flavor. They really take simplicity to a new level. The herbs that came with it were very fresh. I could eat the bean sprouts even without the soup. Everything was warm and comforting. We also got the crispy chicken for an appetizer. They came out super hot and ready to eat with a nice sweet chili sauce. Not quite as good as how I make them at home but still really yummy. Bonus for how nice and golden brown they were. The location is really nice with plenty of parking too. The decor is average. More like a pho diner with tv screens around and a counter top for quick eats. The fortune cookies actually tasted really good with more insightful words too. Definitely hit the spot!
