Pho Hoang

The food was OK. I ordered pineapple fried rice, which was not the best. It did not have cashews, and rice was different. It was like sushi rice and a little on the sticky side. The duck buns were good, and the Thai bubble ice tea was good. I heard the Pho was good. The crab ragoon was nice. The food was better than the service. They had many waitresses who helped anyone who asked. But a few waitresses had an attitude, and that kind of ruined it for the other waitresses who we super nice.

Fast service and tasty food what more can you ask for? The food was so good, I took some home to share! The vegetables were all fresh and not blackened or soggy, generous portions of meat in my LG Pho Tai and the Shrimps in my stuffed summer rolls were overlapping one another and stuffed, compared to some restaurants that are stingy with the shrimp. The restaurant seemed to have just undergone some new renovations and the inside was clean, bright and welcoming. I highly recommend you stop by to try their delicious food! Their menus have pictures! So don't be worried about not knowing what you're ordering!

I’m currently in New York City, eagerly waiting to enjoy a bowl of pho, the dish I’ve been craving. I ordered an extra-large pho with extra slices of ribeye. The pho is very delicious, but there’s too much rice noodle, which soaks up all the soup. The restaurant is clean, including the restroom, and it’s conveniently located near the main street, making it easy to access.

Excellent food and service. The food is fresh and tasty. The Pho Bo Kho, it is a little sweet and reminds us of pot roast, the brisket is tender and juicy. The Duck Bao buns have good flavor but need more fillings, all I taste is sauce. The crispy pork comes out slightly cold but has a good flavor and pairs nicely with the ginger sauce. Lastly the summer rolls are delicious, the peanut sauce is on the sweet side.

Got Pho Nam Large. The broth was slightly different from what I expected but it was ok. A little sweet. Portion was big. I asked for extra lemon to balance out the sweetness. It was after little after 6pm, no wait, clean and quiet inside. :)

This is my comfort meal place. Noodle soup? They got it. Rice plates? They got it. Bbq roast meats? They got it. Perfect spot to eat solo and for sharing with friends. I appreciate the generous portions, quick service, and all the hardworking Asian auntie servers. They also recently remodeled, so it feels brighter and more spacious inside. Definitely recommend eating here to make your belly happy!

The environment is clean and bright after the renovation. Crispy roast pork always the best and a must to try! Always order to-go for roast pork. Today decided to dine in and try something new!

Happens to be around neighborhood and was craving pho and bbq meats..pho Hoang is my usual spot food is excellent and love the new decorations ..love it will be back

I can't speak to service or ambiance because this was a delivery order, but I did enjoy the food. BBQ Roasted Pig: I found this a little too greasy for my liking, but I did like the generous portion! Peking Roasted Duck Buns: These were the star of the show. I kicked the meal off with these, and there was a fair amount of duck inside, although I feel like they could have fit maybe an additional slice into each bun. Thin Sliced Brisket Pho: The broth was hearty. There was a generous portion of bean sprouts, basil, and brisket. I thought this was solid.

Because I already have other favorite NYC banh mi spots, I was skeptical to try this place, but the banh mi surprised me! I visited a little past midnight, but the sandwich bread wasn't stale and has a great crunch to contrast the soft inside. Thick deli cuts too. The sauce really stands out to me--assuming it's a pate, mayo, and black pepper mix. Simple and delicious. I also ordered the Durian Smoothie which was a perfect creamy treat to end the night.

It is expensive and not tasty. We got congee soup and barbecue soup. The congee was not tasty at all the barbecue was eatable but nothing to come back for. I can't recommend it

We ordered takeout. The shaking beef 's beef was very tough. The roti was surprisingly good and the curry that came with it was delicious. The banh mi was okay. They were very busy in store and had a lot of roast meats. I might come back and try to dine in.

Went again today and while waiting today I noticed a sign that said gratuity is included for all parties that are dining in. I didn't see this sign last time and I tipped on top of the automatic gratuity last time. Make sure you do not tip twice!! Very shady for a restaurant to include tipping option on receipt when it's automatically tacked on already. This is why I deducted one star. Food was still great and service good but I was just baffled I had tipped 36% last time (18%x2!) There's also a charge for using credit card but I was fine with this as they had mentioned it to me when I gave in my card. Bring cash if you want to avoid cc fee!

I thought the food here was really good. Not sure why all the complaints. Maybe the cut meats aren't top of the line or best there is in Flushing, but it's decent. I thought the pho was really good as well. Would come back again if craving Vietnamese/Cantonese in the area.

It has been years since my last visit to Pho Hoang, thought i'd give it another go after they renovated. The service was what you could normally expect from asian restaurants in Flushing. The harsh yelp ratings maybe need a revamp, since they previously had bad rapport for being unclean, but after their renovation, it looks more modern, up to date, and cleaner. The spring rolls were amazing, Pho Hoang really gets it right, though I feel the soup or noodles flavor was slightly lacking in my opinion or the meat and soup were a bit cold. Otherwise still had a decent meal. Take note of the credit card surcharge of 3.75%, and gratuity is already included on the receipt, so be prepared to bring cash to pay for your bill.

this place has been around for a while. recently it did a whole renovation. Now looks more modern. if you look at the pictures of my curry noodle soup, it looks nothing like themnu photos show. I asked for Malaysian curry noodle with sprouts, and I choose tofu and fish cake and eggplants with it. when my food came. I said this is not what I order. She just said that we don't have any tofu and walked away. I feel that they should've told me the items I chose was not available. I would have ordered something else. it wasn't very tasty

Came here twice recently. Heard it was renovated...had never been here prior. Tables, even the 2 seaters, were spacious. Noticed their menus are huge and that usually worries me because,how can it all be good? So we ordered a sampling of everything. We loved it all, portions, prices, taste, including the great service and the fact that it's a no tipping restaurant. One of my new favorite spots now.

No frills and open late. I was craving pho but everywhere closed by the time I got off from work. This was basically the only option that I had. I'm not mad at it. The pho broth wasn't bland and after adding the accoutrements , it was delicious. I had sinus congestion and I needed spicy pho. It did the job! The staff was attentive, patient and kind. Took away one star for cleanliness. It could've been a much cleaner place. The bathrooms weren't too clean either. The old dishes were stacked in trays by the bathroom. I knew what I was getting myself into and I'm thankful that the pho made me feel better and not worse.

Really solid drinks! When every place in Flushing was pretty much closed, this restaurant was still open past midnight! There was a good amount of people there too. My pho cravings were satisfied here with the Large Beef Soup w/ Raw Ribeye Slices ($13.95). The flavor was pretty comparable to Manhattan Chinatown chains, but the price certainly wasn't! Their beef slices were disappointingly dry and tough! I was most pleasantly surprised by their drinks. If you leave a review on Google, they give you free drinks or ice cream. Their Milk Tea was the bakery style that I love! The Passion Fruit Slush ($6.75) refreshed me right up, with its tart sweetness and actual seeds. I don't know if they were real fruits used, but they could have had me fooled. Albeit cheaper elsewhere, I had a great first pho in Flushing experience.

pork chop was so tender it was falling apart just by sticking my fork in it had this while hungover (pho is the best hangover meal not accepting any other opinions) and it cured me feel like it's alittle bit pricier than other pho places but the portion is huge so makes up for it food came out super quick and workers were also nice great for groups or solo dining tip- squeeze the lemon juice on top of the pork chop thank me later

I've been here once before the renovation. The service was good, the ladies were very nice and helpful. Since they renovated the place it's nice and modern, but it can get really warm. There are no napkins on the table for you to grab, just the one piece that's placed on your plate when you get there. We ordered a small spring roll, a pho and a congee. I have to say the spring roll was very good, pho had a lot of meat, but the congee was the WORST congee I've ever had in my life. It looked and tasted like a bowl of potato starch water with a little bit of rice and a TINY BIT of meat. I was so disappointed. They also add service charge on your bill along with tax. Three dishes costed about $44.00. I didn't even take pictures because I was so upset!

My wife said it's pretty average and I agree. But the durian milkshake is delicious. Plus it's not too often you can get Vietnamese food and Cantonese food in one place. The duck banh mi is decent as well as the roast duck bao.

Been here multiple times and food is okay. They're a little bland, but the dishes taste clean so my boyfriend and I kept coming back. Today, however, my boyfriend ordered some food through the kiosk and hasn't received his food for over 40 minutes (he's still waiting as I write this review). The lady working there acts like it's his fault for ordering food at the restaurant and told him to order at the other restaurant (the place is separated into 2) if he wants fast service. I feel like they are prioritizing dine in customers despite how my boyfriend already paid for his food. The attitude of the staff is unwelcoming. We would not be coming back. There's many other pho places to eat in Flushing that would provide a more welcoming and faster experience.

Pho xe lua was delivered without care as if they couldn't be bothered to make sure it was properly wrapped. The soup also had a hair in it. And it was luke warm when it arrived this place is B.S avoid this place if you can

This is another spot Ive been going to for many many years. They recently renovated so its a lot nicer and cleaner looking now. Food is always good. but one bad thing I dont like now is when you dine in the bill includes a 18% tip. I mean I always give 20-25% depending on their service. Ive noticed that now since tips is included their service been soso. If service was better I would give it 5 stars. Food is good. lots of varieties. drinks etc. just service needs to get better.

$14 for a extra large pho bowl? Seems more and more like the norm nowadays, even for no-frills places like Pho Hoang. Overall, the quality is still there, the pho soup base is richer and more saltier than your average spot. Server was very friendly, and food came very quickly, which checks off all the boxes for a staple pho spot. Only issue I had was that the server took away my bowl (crazy quick too) thinking that I was done eating, but I'm actually the type to leave my beef flank for last (hidden in the soup). A real tragedy

The food tasted great, however the service was kinda iffy, the server was staring into heaven and it took awhile to get her attention to where we had to walk up to her for the check. The place looks pretty good though. The aftermath was awful though because me and my girlfriend who went to eat had a serious stomach ache like 30 minutes after eating from there and I can't tell if it was from the slushy or the appetizer or the pho we ate but it was a pretty nightmarish experience. (Edit I been nonstop using the bathroom for the past few hours like on and off and I haven't eaten anything since this post)

DISGUSTING, I wouldn't eat this food again if it was free. The customer service is terrible, be ready for them to add 15% gratuity automatically. The food was cold like they took it out the refrigerator and put it on the plate. It was disgusting, no flavor and it was ice cold. I can't stress this enough, DO NOT EAT HERE. I got the "honey lemonade" and I promise you the only thing they did was put one lemon in a cup crush it up and add water. Their service is terrible, the food isn't edible. They will get you with the meat hanging in the window but just look at it and keep walking this place deserves zero stars.

I used to be a big fan of pho bang which is right next door to this place but not anymore. Pho at pho hoang was surprisingly better and better service here as well.. will now visit here instead of pho bang

Ambiance (X/5): It feels like a run-down cafeteria. Noise levels can be loud during peak hours but on a random weeknight, it was pretty quiet. The prime location is just across the street from the Queens library. Service (3/5): The staff mostly speak Chinese so it was a little difficult to communicate in English. However, pointing to the nicely pictured menu did the trick! I don't think we were attended to much but was happy to have a larger table for just two. Food: Pho (L) ($13.95) (4/5): disclaimer: I eat pho like a once in a year so not much baseline to compare to; I thought that the broth was super savory and the meat portions were generous. The bowl comes with a plate of bean sprouts, mint, and jalapenos. I couldn't eat the full large bowl! Gelato (1/5): They gave a free gelato if you leave a review on Google Maps. The gelato definitely is not gelato!! There's some stickiness to it that makes it feel like kid's putty. I would have never known that they sell it without the TV screensavers.

Minus 1 star! This place deserves zero star! I ordered soy chicken over noodle. The chicken looks like either leftover from previous customer or just the random pieces they stole from customers buying half or the whole chicken. When making a complaint, they are willing to give you some more presentable chicken pieces. This place is simply disgusting. Also, they added 18% tip on the bill. Seriously? Don't go and get rips off.

I don't even know where to start. This place has thee worst customer service ever. I don't like throwing the word racist around but I definitely felt discriminated against. Their reviews on google is some straight BULL!!! The food is not that good to get service that we received. Let's start from the beginning. We walk in to not get greeted with no one before us. As we wait to get seated an family walks in and gets greeted along with seated. So a friend gets their attention and they finally sit us down. It's already a dusty place so it's not the nicest looking place inside. Ordering wasn't a problem, but we had like 3 waitresses helping us. Some of them had attitudes, 1 was decent. Food came out in a timely manner and was fresh. But just wasn't the greatest. My favorite was the won ton noodle soup. What really set me off and made me leave immediately was when this gentlemen posted in the last picture, walked up to our table while we were eating and grabbed the soy sauce off our table and then preceded to pour the soy sauce that was taken on to his table and pour into his saucer. Then came back and dropped it off looking me dead in my eyes. That was enough for me. I kindly asked for a to-go box because I didn't finish my food asked for my check. I could have not paid and made a scene, but I didn't, I paid and left. I couldn't believe that actually happened. I've read all the reviews on google and they were all about the food. But the food wasn't that great and the service was horrible. I would never come back here or even recommend the business. The sad part about the guy walking up to our table. He is sitting at the table with one of the waitresses that was helping us. They are both pictured in the last photo. I couldn't believe it. The food was decent. I'm not gonna make it seem like it was nasty. I tore that won ton soup up. The spring rolls were cool. Just wish I had some other sauce other than the peanut sauce. But it as fresh. The fried chicken was good too. The are quick with their service and food comes out in a timely manner. But on their service!!!! NOPE!!

Pretty happy with the food - 4/5. We had Pho. They take credit card but will assess roughly 3% fee. Alternatively, they also take Zelle transfer to avoid the fee. We didn't have cash with us so we did Zelle. Ambiance is decent: 3.5/5

A great pho spot that is open till 1pm for the late night munchies. I ordered my favorite dish and they did it justice. The service was great and the food was great as well!

I came from Long Island looking for some good authentic Vietnamese food. Coming in, I thought it was a new business cause why would there be a Vietnamese spot right next to another Vietnamese spot. Shrimp summer rolls were decent size but the lettuce had brown spots on them. The peanut sauce has no flavor. The spring rolls are good. Grill pork chop comes chopped and with bones....dried out and the burnt pieces have the most flavor. The best part is I asked if they have appetizer pho usually mini bowl size, consist of soup and noodles, the server said yes $2. She brought over a bowl with liquid only that smelled like cinnamon spice. I didn't eat it and didn't say anything. When she noticed I didn't touch it, she came over and was pushing that it's what I wanted. I didn't make a fuss, I didn't say take it off the bill. None of that! She was rude about it and still had it on the bill as an 'extra coke', like there was no button for a 'bowl of liquid'. It's best to go to the dingy, old school, not updated spots. That is where the authentic food is!!! For real!

I wish I could give zero stars. The waitress with the long hair was absolutely horrible. Does not communicate. She put her finger inside my food as she was carrying it, then demanded a 20% tip. One of the worst experiences ever. I will not be coming back. Hope they get a food and safety check soon.

This place always intrigued me with their huge display of roasted meats at the front of the store. They serve Vietnamese, Malaysian, and Cantonese cuisine, which was worrisome because how can a restaurant do all three cuisines justice? However, they do have unbeatable prices and deals, and we were hungry so my friend and I decided to check this place out. We ordered their: -Fried Cheese Rangoon (4/5): This was pretty good, heavy on the cream cheese and it was stuffed! Kind of what you expect from a deep fried cream cheese in a dumpling wrapper. Nothing too special but satisfied our craving for takeout style cheese wontons. -Cantonese Triple Delight (2/5): We ordered this and it came with any drink for 14$ which is pretty decent price however, it isn't good even for the price. The food was pretty cold when it arrived at the table, and the roast pig wasn't crispy and the skin was more elastic. The duck and the roast pig wasn't too bad but it was too cold to enjoy. The vegetables were probably boiled but is definitely nice to have some greens with a plate full of meat. Overall wouldn't recommend even for the price. -Vietnamese Ice Coffee (3/5): This was pretty good! Except it was 95% ice and 5% coffee. I couldnt even get my straw in at first because of the huge chunk of ice in the drink. This made the drink super watery super fast as the ice melted pretty rapidly. Overall this place is a good place for a quick and cheap meal with a wide range of options, good for when you aren't sure what to eat. MAJOR TIP: This place is from my memory is cash only! So bring cash

The food was good not really good, just good. The curry was a little too watery but I did like it. Feels like a hole in the wall. Menu is really big and has something for everyone. The speed was a little concerning tho it was surprisingly fast, like our food came within 5min. Do not get anything with seafood we got a noodle dish with mixed seafood, it smelled so bad i don't know if it was just the dish or the seafood. Service was good but the food was just alright to bad.

This is a Vietnamese restaurant next to Pho Bang, where this one also does Cantonese cuisine. The people there speak Mandarin. There are two stalls: one does drinks and banh mi sandwiches while the other does Cantonese BBQ items. The place is slightly more expensive that the other places that do Cantonese BBQ items. Ordered the classic Vietnamese sandwich, which has three meat items. The place went heavy with mayonnaise but no pate. I saw that there were five parties eating inside with one about to leave. There were several that came in that did takeout.

Roast Pork With Pan fried Noodles - $9.50 Peking Roast Duck Bun - $9.95 (3 Piece or $2.50 Each) The roast pork was delicious. It comes with your choice of Rice, Noodle Soup or Pan fried noodles. I went with the Pan fried noodles which were also great. They have a lot of selections and most of the meals being around $10 or under $10. Great tasting food for a price that would not break your wallet, haha. This has become one of my new favorite places to eat at when I'm visiting Flushing. They have in door dining and table service. When I went around dinner time, it was a little crowded but was still able to get a table. Next time I go, I would want the try the Vietnamese sandwiches and Lamb Chops. Definitely worth checking out if you guys are ever in the Flushing area. Also you won't be able to miss it, you will see all the meat hanging in the window.

It's a hard business when you have a large variety of choices and each choice wasn't made too well. Tbh the roast duck is what drew my attention here in the first place. I have to admit it was probably one of the better roast ducks I had during the times we are in now. For the price of it ... not so much. The curry beef stew flavors was there. Definitely has a kick to the spice but it felt more so for a noodle soup base then stew. In the video you can see it was not thick at all. Like most places it would come with potato's and carrots to kind of fill the variety. Not just some pieces of meat in water. The Seafood pan fried noodle was probably the worse choice I made. The sauce was literally water. The noodles was fried up so much that it taste like cup of noodles... (Not that I hate cup of noodles) but for the price.... No. Seafood was barely seen and it taste like one of those mix frozen bags that goes on sale. Definitely not recommended. Overall I should've went with their Viet side maybe they do better ?

Ordered delivery. Got beef pho and it was great. Not the best I've had but I would definitely order again. Broth had nice flavor and there was a good amount of tendon, tripe & meat in it. I would rather they give cilantro instead of basil but that's just my personal preference. Great portion size even for delivery. They did forget the sauces for my pho on the second delivery but thankfully I have my own at home. We also got the steak tips with oyster sauce over rice and it was ok. Have definitely had better elsewhere. Not enough sauce or flavor on the meat at all. And I even asked for extra sauce the second time we ordered but they neglected my request. The roast pork sandwich was delicious. The lemongrass pork chops were also delicious and my kids loved those. Delivery was quick and food came hot.
