This place is good for Pho. I have tried a lot on the menu and it’s all tasty. David is the man and will take care of you. King David will make sure you get what you need if you’re dining in or taking out. Spring rolls and number 18. BUN BO HUE is what i get. I added good pics of the menu because the don’t have a website.

Really Enjoyed The Meal! Stopped at this restaurant after work; my sister was with me and recommended the place. It is a family run restaurant. All of them are very gracious and nice. The prices are beyond reasonable ; the dishes are delicious and flavorful. The food is authentic Vietnamese food. At the end, my sister ordered a sandwich to go. I also ordered a sandwich; the sandwiches were delicious. I will definitely return to this place.

This hole in the wall is serving up some delicious food! Definitely some of the best pho I’ve had, and we were excited to try bon bo hue for the first time here, which was incredible! The summer rolls and Vietnamese iced coffee were great, and the prices were very reasonable. It felt good to know we were supporting a local mom & pop business!

Google
Small and comfortable. Not so many menu items that you get lost. And a 3 item VEGAN menu was the highlight! I had the fried yellow noodle with tofu. Filling and flavorful, if a bit too oily. Excellent wait service: fast, comfortable, friendly, priced right and a young man serving the tables who loves his work 👍🏽

Google
I went there for the first time during break, I had a # 1 & some spring rolls. I really enjoy their soup! the spring rolls were so good I had to order so I can bring some for my wife! I will be back this weekend with my family. you guys are awesome!!!

Google
Very authentic and delicious Vietnamese food. The peanut sauce is very good quality with the summer rolls They also have vegan and vegetarian options. And the staff are all very hospitable people. Thank you all again for the delicious experience

Google
First time to PHT and was not disappointed. Came for the Pho which was very good. Broth was flavorful and portions were generous. The spring rolls were just ok but the goi cuon were good. Prices are definitely a good deal and like other reviews have mentioned, service was FAST! A few tell-tale signs that gave this place away as legit: large gaudi murals of wildlife on the wall, dated interior but very clean, and friendly service that showed they were grateful for business. Looking forward to come back to try the bahn mi....

Google
Very quick service. Friendly. Pho broth was great. Very flavorful. Would have received 4 stars if they had more options for brisket/ox tail. Vietnamese coffee was super strong. A little too much for my liking. Banh Mi was ok. Probably wouldnt get that again. Parking is street parking , no dedicated lot. I would definitely come back for the pho.

Yelp
Dined in for some chicken and beef pho. The chicken was mainly dark meat with some chewy fat pieces I couldn't consume. My daughter and I got boba tea with bursting bubbles, it was bursting with flavor. Service is always fast here. I'll say this spot feels cleaner than the pho place across the street. At first it was a bit stuffy but towards the end a worker put the fan on and it felt better. As usual the food was clean and fresh.

Yelp
Amazing food. Great service. Very authentic and prices are amazing. Great vegan options too. Prices are perfectly reasonable. Ambiance is like going to a Vietnamese auntie. Go!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. Amazing Vietnamese food for very cheap price. Definitely worth it!

Yelp
Here is another pho restaurant that again my wife took me too. Right across the street from the last one I went to the week before. I got the extra big bowl soup with beef pork and tendons. So good. I asked for it spicey but I was able todo it myself with the chilli oil they have on the table. I enjoyed this soup very much. Clean and hearty. This restaurant is also a bit small but I like the table set up better here. I almost ate the whole soup! I'll be back here soon.

Yelp
I found this place through a hotel recommendation. I liked the food and the prices are low. I really enjoyed the food. The spring rolls are good and I loved the peanut sauce. The special pho was amazing. It was very flavorful. The meat was tender and of good quality. The noddles, sprouts and and onion filled the bowl. It is big too.

Yelp
No wonder this reliably tasty Vietnamese food gem was voted "Best Vietnamese Restaurant" by Connecticut Magazine in 2024: Pho Hong Thom has the most satisfying and delicious Shrimp Summer Rolls and incredible, bold and intense but skillfully balanced Chicken Pho and Steak Pho at such a spectacular value. It's authentic Vietnamese cuisine at its finest. They have their recipes mastered. It'll be some of the best Vietnamese food you've ever tasted! Pho Hong Thom's pho has the perfect noodles, not overly thin or fat noodles that are the appropriate silky noodles for maximal enjoyment. It's deeply comforting and filling eating their aromatic pho with their strong and rich broth; thinly sliced beef or with a generous amount of chicken; bean sprouts; and nutrient-rich herbs. There's also a bodacious Fish Patty Banh Mi. They remind me of my late, paternal grandmother's tasty Vietnamese Claypot Caramelized and Braised Catfish. Their Vietnamese Shrimp Stir-Fried Noodles - yellow noodles with egg, shrimp, beef, broccoli, and I use two of their bold, salty, and complex fish sauces to elevate it - are a savory and delightful must-try, creating a vibrant and tasty blend that make me nostalgic for when my family regularly cooked this at home but with ramen noodles. I have tried almost every single Connecticut Vietnamese restaurant in town, wasted a lot of time and money, and when they close for 3 weeks during the Summer, I can't wait until they reopen! My other fave Connecticut Asian Food Finds are: -MIKU Sushi Bar and Restaurant -Enchanted Szechuan -Nit Noi -Blue Ginger -Haruki Ramen & Izakaya -Yuki Kitchen -GOGI Korean Steakhouse & Sushi -House of Chao -bb.q Chicken New Haven -Hinoki -Kazu Japanese Restaurant -Thai Time -The Whale Tea

Yelp
Was in the area and came across this food location through Google. Great food with good prices. The owner and waiter were extremely nice. This was a perfect meal after working out.

Yelp
This place is the definition of hole-in-the-wall but the FOOD IS SO GOOD. The restaurant was busy, almost all the customers were Vietnamese (a sign the food is authentic), and almost everyone was ordering food to go once they finished their meal. We tried the bahn mi, bun, spring rolls and Vietnamese coffee. Everything was phenomenal and CHEAP. We ended up ordering food to take home as well. You don't come to this place for the ambiance but just the delicious food...the best Vietnamese we've had outside of NYC!

Niko L.

Yelp
My absolute favorite Pho of all time. I love this place to death. Super affordable and great service, the ambiance would be best to describe as a homely restaurant.

Yelp
Ordered #1 pho special... Best vietnamese noodles so far, soft and chewy doesn't taste like flour. The broth is clear but rich flavor. Better than those in the city (queens or Brooklyn). Beef meatballs are in slices with strong beef flavor, $10 for the pho, good price and just right portion. Egg rolls and the steam rice rolls all are excellent quality, although there's not much pork in it, we are just happy with the rich flavor. Rice roll is very thin. Definitely recommend the ice vietnamese coffee ( it's very sweet tho) We'll definitely come back again for lunch (they closed early 7:30pm and Monday is closed) Easy free parking... FYT No bathroom in the restaurant.

Yelp
Most divey looking Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to. Despite its appearance, the service was surprisingly good and attentive, adding to the overall experience. Dining here felt like going to a Vietnamese friend's house for a home-cooked meal. My pho arrived steaming hot and bursting with flavor, hitting all the right notes. However, I found my bahn mi slightly over-toasted and lacking in filling. Still, it reminded me of something I would get from a homemade bahn mi, which was a comforting touch. While Pho Hong Thom isn't a bad choice for Vietnamese cuisine, there are certainly better options out there.

Yelp
This is an amazing affordable hole in the wall spot for Vietnamese food. Their menu is not as vast as I've seen at some other restaurants, but has all the key staples down. I had the pho dac biet and banh mi and had to take 2 to go for my parents to try!! The pork banh mi was well marinated and the bread was great. The bread can make or break the sandwich, and I'm glad it was fresh and fluffy enough. I've had too many sandwiches that were too crusty and hard or tough, making it overall difficult to eat, but this was good! The pho had a nice broth and was of decent large size. A smooth, aromatic broth was perfect for a day as cold as today. I'll be back for more noms!

Yelp
Food is good, but the service is not. Had eaten for many years but the service has become poor. They don't greet customers, not attentive and rude. I stopped going there awhile back. The guy who served us is rude- we told the mom who is very nice and had to apology on his rude behavior. They need customer service training .

Yelp
Still the best and most authentic places around run by the nicest family around. All soup dishes are fantastic! The Bahn Mi's are delicious on fresh bread and the Peanut sauce for their Summer Rolls is the tastiest thing around!! Some of the best prices around. Don't be fooled by the other noodle bars around, come get the best!!

Calvin C.

Yelp
The pho tastes great and is super affordable! Talk about a hidden gem. The decor in the place is quite sparse but they have their priorities right: the food!

Yelp
I saw this place on yelp while visiting a friend in Bridgeport. The place is easy to locate. The inside is divey. There are a lot of street parking. I ordered the bun cha gio. It was good. The food came quickly. The waitstaff is attentive. The prices are reasonable. I will definitely comeback if I'm in the area.

Yelp
Amazing food and authentic! Great Price we cane here three times already and definitely it's a hidden germ, best pho in Connecticut!

Yelp
The best! Outstanding food (#8!!), generous portions, and all affordable options. Staff is lovely and attentive. My husband and I are obsessed!

Yelp
My wife and I have been going to Pho Saigon across the street for Vietnamese food and didn't realize Pho Hong Thom was here. Had we known, we would have been coming here all this time. This place is cleaner and a step up above the aforementioned. Pho Hong Thom offers authentic Vietnamese bánh mì, pho and bún, the staple dishes of Vietnam. For appetizers we ordered gió cun and cha giò. The summer rolls were fresh and the emperor rolls delicious. The true litmus test of authenticity for any Vietnamese restaurant is the pho broth. I had the pho tái and my wife had the pho gà. We left full and satisfied our cravings. This place will definitely be our go-to restaurant for Vietnamese food from now on.

Yelp
This is a great spot in little Asia to get some amazing Pho. I've seen more Pho places recently open up in Fairfield County... but this is one of the best and tasty places to go. The service is quick and your waiter is probably Ange, who is a nice and helpful young man. Instead of adding soda or water to your Pho, I recommend to take advantage of the complimentary hot tea right of the counter window. Pho and hot tea goes perfect together. Recently they added Bahnmi to the menu a delicious sandwich with grilled pork (that's what I'm having). Which is perfect right before the Pho is delivered. The sandwich is big enough to share between 2 people, and with the Pho it will sure fill you up.

Yelp
I will return for sure! Food is good. Service was friendly. Restaurant was clean. We ordered a lot. Pho, spring rolls, rice rolls, fried rice - everything was good. We will return for sure.

Yelp
I have eaten here many times, and am just getting to writing a review (bad on me). I love Vietnamese food. Years ago, a close friend of mine, who hailed from Vietnam, introduced me to Vietnamese cuisine. It became one of my favorites. With its fresh, cool veggies, sweet and savory sauces, delicious meats and soups, it is a "go to," for sure. Pho Hong Thom has all of the fabulous Vietnamese meals I could want and at such a reasonable price. We had the Summer Rolls, and two orders of Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio Trung. Absolutely delicious. My only gripes on the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio Trung-I couldn't find the mint, and there could have been more shrimp, for sure. That being said, it was a hearty meal, and for 10$, could not be beat. Also, of note, the man who greeted me this last time, as well as had my meal prepared by the time I got there, as promised, is the same person who has greeted me there for years. Always friendly, always welcoming. Just a little gem tucked away behind an unassuming store front. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This is hands down one of the absolute best Pho's you can get in the the state of Connecticut. Fresh, fantastic soup. Great service as well. Enjoy!

Yelp
Just finished eating my takeout and had to write a review. I ordered the #8 and wow, food was excellent. The service was great as well, make sure you add on a Vietnamese coffee. I highly recommend and will be back.

Yelp
Nice local business. The staff are really friendly and tries to be approachable. I got the Vermicelli with grilled pork, shrimp and extra spring rolls on the side. Everything was pretty good. I wish they gave me more shrimp as they only gave me 2 pieces. The lettuce, however, you can see they were old, black and getting pretty bad so I didn't want to touch and eat that. That itself can say on the quality control. Prices have gone up sadly, which might be due to the inflation and COVID but there were some options I avoided due to the significant increase.
google avatar

Gianna S.

Yelp
Walking in I was greeted at the service window right away. I got the Pho Ga to go and it came out very quick. I came to Pho Hong Thom because Pho Saigon was closed and this restaurant had better reviews. However I personally did not like how the raw onions were a little thick for my personal liking as well as there not being as much flavor as Pho Saigon, which is right next door. However I feel like the broth went together very well with the other elements in the dish. The chicken seems more softer at Pho Saigon, but at the end of the day I feel like it's based on taste preferences. All around great experience and would go here again!

Yelp
Oh mannnn!!!!!! I dying to come back to this spot! I have travel thru so many states trying different pho and I assume I have found the best in Las Vegas but I was so wrong, this little spot in the middle of CT I have the luck to try the MOST tasteful broth I have come across, I tell you this if you're a pho lover this a must too try!!!! trust you won't be disappointed plus they ice coffee UFFFFF so good!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Best Vietnamese place in the world and I've been everywhere !!!! The summer rolls are a MUST The classic pho is perfect and everything is so fresh.
google avatar

Sansan H.

Yelp
We came back here for the second time for takeout. Still the best. Try the summer roll, no. 8,9, and 13. The pork on the rice is different type than the grill pork on vermicelli. Vietnamese ice coffee is so good

Yelp
Teachers had today for workshops/training, and they were arriving in droves for lunch. An Asian pair of moms were engaging their children with fun, interactive questions. Pho Hong Thom's delicious food inside info is spreading. Service was prompt and friendly, and all food was fresh, with the multi-sensual-dimensional pho tastes deep, complex and fantabulous. Don't forget to ask for the bubble tea.
google avatar

Honey L.

Yelp
Very quick service ' food is really good the pork chop and cucumber is my absolute favorite' great staff :)
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
I loved the summer rolls (probably the best I've ever had) they have a slice of fatty beef inside !!! Regular pho #1 is actually pretty good surprisingly. It comes with a few slices of beef (not good quality imo), beef tripe, beef balls and some tendon type of meat, but the broth and noodles are good. Broth tastes comparable to the ones in ny. Definitely a nice spot for lunch or dinner. Prices are relatively cheap ($7.50 for #1) Self serve tea yay (DO NOT GET THE BUBBLE TEA). I ordered the bubble milk tea and it was overly sweet and tasted mediocre with rock hard boba. I know they aren't known for their bubble tea and whatever but if it's this bad, don't put it on the menu. Would recommend to those in the area.

Yelp
Like Vietnamese food? Just get here. The entire menu is delicious and incredibly fairly priced. No frills but what does that matter. Always fast and great service and excellent take out packaging.

Yelp
After catering in Bridgeport today, I yelped and found this little hidden gem. Great reviews on yelp. Awesome, fresh flavors (I had vegan items) cooked up by the sweetest family (and you know how hard I am to please ) they have fresh pressed sugar cane if you're like my hubby who had this a street food in his childhood :) If you find yourself in Bridgeport, it's a must do! My Bridgeport list of must dos is quite substantial now!

Yelp
"This could be the best pho we've had all year!" ~ PMa No small feat considering every time we go anywhere we make at least one pho stop. This unassuming spot on a street labeled as "Little Asia" felt like stepping out of Connecticut and into a family run establishment on the streets of HCM City--except with much better air conditioning. The menu had items you rarely find at other places imitating authentic Vietnamese food but catering to Western audiences--like their two Sunday specials: Bun Canh Cua Cha Ca and Bun Rieu Cha (menu has English translations). David, took our orders and was so kind and enthusiastic, not seeming to mind at all how I butchered my pronunciation or had to point at the menu. Throughout the meal we could see he shared the same level of enthusiasm and warmth with all the patrons. I imagine there are a lot of regulars. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue and the broth was clean and bright, fragrant lemongrass and cilantro, sweet fried onions, all perfectly balanced. PMa ordered the "Super Bowl XL" Pho Xe Lua Dac Biet and the kids had their usual (pho bo vien, hold the green stuff). Both bowls of pho had that silky smooth broth that only comes from long and slow simmering. I felt remorse at not being able to finish every last drop.
google avatar

Yelp
Best pho I've had in Chicago or Connecticut and right up there with NYC. Seafood and Spicy Beef are go-to. Need to try the bahn mi... But I always go here at the first onset of a cold!

Yelp
The breakfasts are great and worth the wait. Order ahead if you don't want to stand around.

Yelp
We did catering from here, affordable and good. Spring rolls were delicious. Pho special XL, Grill pork and Bahmi were good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
This family owned restaurant delivers a consistent good pho broth. If you are in the mood to satisfy your pho craving, this is the place you should go to in Fairfield County. In addition, the noodle (bun) dish, Bun Thit Nuong Cha Goi Tom Trung, is quite satisfying. It contains grilled meat and shrimp, noodles, vegetables, rolls, and a fried egg. One bowl of deliciousness. The menu offerings are limited compared to many other Vietnamese restaurants, however, they execute the pho, goi cuon, and bun dishes well. Sauces and condiments are available on the table as with most Vietnamese establishments. Pho choices are loaded with meat and the usual accompaniments are provided....culantro (saw grass), bean sprouts, Thai Basil, and Jalapeños. Often I request half the amount of noodles due to rarely finishing the normal portion provided. I generally add a few drops of fish sauce into my broth for an extra depth of flavor. Goi Cuon is freshly rolled and not prepared in advance. Therefore, the rice paper remains soft. There are 4 rolls per order and they are generous with the size and amount of fillings. Definitely an appetizer for sharing. Cha Gio could use a face lift. I find the rolls are often dry or overcooked. Furthermore, I'm use to having the appetizer with a variety of greens and herbs to roll them in. This is not how it is plated here. Minimal green leaf is provided. Bubble tea is available with bursting bubbles or jelly. I prefer the chewy tapioca bubbles so I usually order an avocado smoothie with jelly. I am disappointed that the bahn mi is removed from the menu. Hopefully, this item will return. This use to be one of the only places to obtain this delicious sandwich in the area. Overall, go to this place for pho, bun, and goi cuon. You will not find a better choice in southern ct.

Yelp
Home cooked Vietnamese food. Fast, warm staff, and comfortable......... .............

Yelp
OPEN FOR TAKEOUT!!! Till 530 pm. Support this Mecca for home style VN food!!!!! They're wearing masks and have protective barriers at cashier station. They're cautious and cleanliness minded. They prepare fresh broth daily and the whole family pitches in. We had pho, bun, bahn mi and summers rolls today. Support this wonderful family owned business.

Yelp
My favorite place for Pho. Authentic and flavorful this small local owned establishment is no secret. Always filled with people, do yourself a favor & give it a taste. I've tried several of their options. You get a large bowl (I always have leftovers) for $7.25+ a steal if you ask me. It's not a fine dining experience, more of a welcoming, homey atmosphere-if that's your jam you'll love this place. It's become a weekly stop for me.
google avatar

Clarice T.

Yelp
This place has pretty good food for a small hole in the wall. It's located in "Little Asia" of Bridgeport. The staff were very nice and it was like being welcomed into a family dinner. Their pho was pretty good. Always a good classic comfort food for a nice cold day!! We also ordered other rice and noodle dishes! Those were really good!! Unfortunately, I can't pronounce the name of the noddle dish but if u show the picture, I'm sure they'll figure it out! But seriously, you must try it!!! I'm adding this dish to my top three must eat Vietnamese food!!

Yelp
Diamond in the rough--authentic Vietnamese phô and terrific value :) Parking tricky and not in a great neighborhood but worth it!
google avatar

Lizbeth C.

Yelp
Food was delicious. My daughter order the Pho Thai which she gets anytime we go to any Vietnamese restaurant. She said it was the best she ever had. Not expensive. Ambiance was not that great but the food more than made up for it. Definitely coming back to this place every chance I get when I am in the area. I might actually go out of my way to come here again.
google avatar

Mikaela R.

Yelp
This spot is cute and quiet. The service was very quick and the prices are amazing!! Will definitely be returning, best Pho place I've been to in Southern CT.
