The Best Pho in Atlanta

"Pho King is reliable and quick, so we’ll still hit it from time to time, but Pho King in Midtown should really be downgraded to Pho Duke because their pho feels more like a “Spare” (sorry, Harry). There are 10 pho options to choose from (steak is our pick), but they all need a bit of doctoring to take the broth to the next level. Though forgettable, their soup is adequate enough if you're in the area and need warm broth. The decor is likewise unremarkable except for a large wagon wheel with a rope on the back wall (don’t ask). " - juli horsford

The Best Banh Mi in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Midtown’s Pho King is a fast and affordable intown option for bowls of pho and a quick bánh mì fix. The shop only offers two sandwiches on its menu—barbecue pork and chicken—but both are solid options for when a trip to Buford Highway isn’t possible." - Beth McKibben

Google
We had pho combo. Very good broth! The portion for a medium size is good! One recommendation is to have a bigger bowl so I could put more veggies in the soup base when it is hot. Will come again! It has free parking lot next to Publix. You could enter the restaurant from the door at the parking garage.

Pho with the Brisket was delicious! Spring rolls were great! Great staff and friendly service. Would recommend!

Google
Yummy food as a proud 100% viet girl. I’m so glad I stumbled on this reasonably priced place especially because it was located so conveniently. The parking is street parking but we came at 12:30 and found parking right out front. The service was kind and quick. The decor and inside is nice and sleek. We got the Bo luc lac (shaking beef) that also comes with a little bowl of broth and medium pho tai ($14). We got fried rice in the shaking beef and it was so buttery and soft. The beef itself was soft and flavorful as well. The pho was usual. Very much satisfied my cravings and I felt light but full after. The cafe su da is so creamy almost like sweet chocolate milk but not unbearable strong still good though.

I ordered fried egg roll , spring roll, large combination pho, two bai Mai sandwich and a Thai tea to go and only spent $60 not only was that affordable my food was served within 15 mins and most importantly the food was so flavorful and delicious. Definitely coming back every chance I get. Must try

Google
Fantastic Pho and Boba tea. The food is absolutely delicious. One of my favorite restaurants!

Google
On this cool October night, my daughter and I decided to try something different, something we’d never had before, some Pho! We were actually going to another Vietnamese restaurant, but saw this place instead and went in. Decent atmosphere, fairly busy, a few unbussed tables, but we were able to be seated quickly. Our server, Wan, was very friendly and helpful. We both ordered the medium bowl of Pho Tom - Shrimp and my daughter added chicken to hers. We also had the Mango Bubble Tea (without the tapioca “bubbles” that Wan allowed us to sample that we didn’t care for) and I added pineapple to mine. Everything was DELICIOUS! Only problem was that we both added too much chili oil to our soup and it was WAY TOO SPICY for us, so gracious Wan brought us another bowl of broth to help balance out the heat 🔥😀. After fishing out all the noodles and such, placing it in the regular broth and slurping down the bubble tea smoothie to cool our mouths down from being like two fire-breathing dragons 🐉, we kicked back, rubbed our bellies and said, “Wow, that was REALLY GOOD!”😅Good food, good portions for the money, DEFINITELY going back!

Google
First time here limited menu. Pho was average but tasty. Shrimp fried rice was basic. Now the spring rolls were average. Overall they need more selections on MENU. I tried it on too the next. It was bad just average.

Google
Service was horrible! Twice I literally had to run down my server. The food was beyond horrible. The Pho tasted like toilet water mixed with toe jam. The meat was as if I was eating a rubber sponge. The chili oil was hell hot. The only thing that I say was good was the papaya salad with shrimp? I did enjoy that I would rather starve to go back and eat at this place. Yelp
Got food togo -- loved it!! So good! Great portions, fair price, rich savory broth! We will SO be back! I appreciate that Vietnamese places are so gluten friendly. We didn't dine in, but it was cute in there. Highly recommend the meatballs! Loved!

Yelp
- pho w/ flank - soursop w/boba - pho combo - grilled pork rice plate I got the pho with flank and I really liked it. Broth was clear and really refreshing. There was a lot of noodle which is good!, I just can't eat that much noodle. The soursop drink was also really nice, not sure how to describe it other than sour ish and guava ish? It's just really refreshing. My family who got the combo pho were a little less impressed since we're used to pho in the Bay Area. The grilled pork plate was also dry but I personally liked how it tasted.

Yelp
I've tried plant of Vietnamese restaurants in Atlanta and this is definitely in my top 3! If you are in Midtown and needing a cozy meal, this should definitely be an option. The food is flavorful and the service is quick. I definitely recommend both the spring rolls and eggrolls as an appetizer. They came out very fresh and tasted great. I feel like there are a solid amount of options for you to choose from. If you're not a fan of Pho, they have other dishes that are also great! We were seated right away which is a plus considering the parking situation. There is a parking deck that you can park in for free. It is a very short walk around the corner. Or you can park in front of the restaurant which she will have to pay for. As far as the restaurant as a whole, it was very clean and appeared to be following the proper guidelines for health and safety. overall, this will definitely be my go to for when wanting a light fulfilling meal on a cozy day!

Yelp
I came here hungover and this place hit the spot. The service was fast and friendly. The food was incredibly delicious. I ordered the Pho combo and the shrimp egg rolls. The peanut sauce was great, and the noodles and meat were well cooked. The place seemed busy which is always a good sign. I would definitely recommend dropping by this place if you are looking for great Vietnamese cuisine.

Yelp
This is my second time visiting this place. I decided to bring a close friend of mine with me this time. He ordered the brisket pho and I ordered the shrimp with friend shrimp egg rolls on the side. We both enjoyed our meals over a great conversation. The service was nice and the ambiance was also calm and chill. I will definitely be returning soon.

Yelp
Pho King is our go to pho place in Midtown. It's quick, tasty, and inexpensive. Elegant it isn't. Not for date night but when you get peckish and you're in the neighborhood. I'm no expert so t really can't compare pho at one establishment with that of another. But I will say the pho is tasty and filling. Unless you're an athlete or a teenager a small bowl is plenty. We usually split a papaya salad. Excellent but it could be spicier for my taste. The pho comes with the usual plate of Asian basil, culantro, jalapeños and lime wedges. And you've got to love the name. Apparently in Vietnamese 'pho' is pronounced 'fuh.' So Pho King is pronounced "Fuh King." Got it?

Yelp
4.5 stars on the ambiance, 5.0 on the food and service. I'd recommend the place for anyone interested in good food and services.

Yelp
Intro This is my go-to Vietnamese spot for Pho. It is always consistent. Never had a bad experience/visit. Ambiance/Vibe Nothing fancy ambiance wise, pretty standard dining ambiance with a mix between standard chair/booth seating. Service Service is great. Always quick, consistent, and attentive. Food I've only had the Pho here. I feel like one time I got something else, like spring rolls, maybe... but I don't recall. But one thing I never forget is the Pho! The name is truly accurate because that soup is aaaammmmaaazzziiinnggggg. I get the combo (but I get the tripe relplaced with an extra serving of one of the other meats). I also usually get the large, and unless you are absolutely STARVING (or wasteful), it's enough to get 2-3 meals out of it. My friend gets the tofu and absolutely loves it. Drinks I only ever get water (I love that use orange slices instead of lemon), but my friend gets the matcha green bubble tea and loves it (if bubble tea is your kind of thing). Final Verdict If you are ever in the area or not far away and craving Pho, do yourself a favor and stop in and pay these folks a visit! You will NOT be disappointed!

Yelp
I see so many decent reviews. Maybe I ordered the wrong food. As you can see in the photo, the chicken was burnt and the shrimp was like shrimp jerky. I was only able to eat the noodles and the vegetables in the bowl. Service was subpar. I wouldn't dine here again.

Yelp
After moving to Atlanta, was craving pho in midtown area. The guys are nice, and the largo combo pho was yum yum. Good portion, value pricing, and it had a lot of the tendon I enjoy. That gave it the 5th star. Also ordered the grilled pork banh mi, and it was ok. Probably ordered too much, but I had run 16 miles and was hungry.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to grab pho. I've been coming here consistently for 2 years. Staff is always friendly and the pho is always good!

Yelp
Great great PHO! I live in Los Angeles and couldn't wait to get back to ATL for some of Pho Kings delicious soup!!!

Yelp
We were staying at a nearby hotel in Midtown and wanted something quick for take out and Pho King was definitely a good choice. Our order was ready in about 20 minutes. The spring rolls had shrimp and pork, as well as noodles and crunchy veggies inside. The flavors of everything were more muted, and would have been nicer to have a little richer taste, but it was still a good meal after a long day of travel. The prices were on par with similar restaurants and definitely a great price for the large portion size especially the portions of meat - medium chicken pho was $14 and the spring rolls were $5.75
google avatar

Yelp
It was not bad, yet it wasn't great. Upon entering, the smells reminds me of my younger years. I was anticipating great, authentic, Vietnamese. Apps we ordered Spring Rolls & Egg Rolls. They came out almost instantly..I mean like..ordered, he walked away for a good 5 seconds, and came back. Great and all but it just shows that they were not freshly made.. The spring rolls were double wrapped and extremely chewy. They shouldn't be. I was having a hard time chewing and swallowing the spring rolls. Eggs rolls were basic. The Pho Bo Vien. I haven't had pho in awhile. The broth was pretty good. The Bo Vien, itself, was not great. Ordered Thai tea to go. They didn't add in boba, yet added in some other " topping" but it was good and worked well!
google avatar

Janice J.

Yelp
I had a big pho craving and there's not many places in midtown for Vietnamese food. I ordered the tofu pho. The broth was very garlicky but a little too greasy. The noodle texture was great and the portions were large. Service was pretty quick. Note that if you're vegetarian you cannot just order the tofu pho because it's made with chicken broth. You'll need to specify vegetarian broth or order the vegetable noodle soup (vegan pho).

Yelp
The best bang for your buck Vietnamese in Midtown. Everything is good, the service is quick and the restaurant itself is quaint and intimate. The food quality is excellent for the price point, definitely recommend the fresh spring rolls, banh mi and Bun Bo Luc Lac.
google avatar

David Y.

Yelp
PhoKing has really gone down hill. Got spring roll platter and the pho combo medium. Broth was weak and not well flavored like normal. The meat inside the summer roll was weirdly colored and didn't seem fresh at all. The rice paper was overly dry. The service was attentive but that's all they got going at this point. Midtown is sorely lacking in walkable Vietnamese places. I'll maybe check back one more time in the future to see if this was a one time thing but honestly bland and seemingly rotten food is a no go.

Breanna P.

Yelp
I ordered eye round pho through doordash. The delivery was quick and smooth. The restaurant was only a mile away. When i arrive it was cold and flavorless. I am very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Great experience with everything. Food was excellent quality and plentiful. Super clean establishment. Will become one of my go to places.

Yelp
This is some of the best pho you will try here in Atlanta. The service was fast to order, but once you got your food you will have to flag someone down to refill drinks and checkout. All the boba drinks were good, and the meals were filling. Highly recommend to try out while traveling to Atlanta.

Yelp
Pho was amazing, and the bahn mi spectacular. I could not have asked for more attentive and happy staff. Plenty of room and the decor was innovative. Price point was excellent as well.

Yelp
One of my favorite Pho spots in town. I come here often for lunch and dinner. I get Pho and I get the steak and rice options. Always a great spot
google avatar

Yelp
Great pho, even better spring rolls. Was in and out in 25 minutes. Broke a sweat, which is the sign of great pho. Ambiance is what you would expect from a pho spot.
google avatar

Luke H.

Yelp
Always good pho when we eat here. A few times the broth is boiling hot like today, but we decided to have pho on a cold, windy day in Midtown so no biggie. I usually order large or X-Large, it's that good. Today, we ordered veggie egg noodles which is a little sweet before you add some sriracha sauce, veggie egg soup (my wife's typical dish here), and I went for the large pho combo. Good portion of noodles and meat. I always leave here full. Service is usually quick. Staff were wearing face mask and plenty of hand sanitizer.
google avatar

Yelp
Really bad experience. Tried grabbing dinner with here friends after being out all day. Service was incredibly unprofessional. We had our order taken and waited over 30 min for our food. After hailing down our waiter for 4 bowls of Pho and a simple Shrimp fried rice, we were informed that he had forgotten to put in our order. How absurd?! Shrimp fried rice was brought out first and let me say I was even more disappointed. I'll let the photo serve as proof. How can you called this dish shrimp fried rice? There were maybe 3 shrimp total in this batch of wet rice. No additional garnishes such as green onion, or eggs were included even though they were mentioned in the menu. Waited an additional 20 minutes for our Pho to arrive. Disappointed yet again. Very little flavor. Overall, thoroughly unimpressed. No check in's from our waiter. No accommodations whatsoever for a mistake made on the waiter. We didn't even get a refill of water during our dining experience.

Yelp
Since my stay in ATL, I been curious for a pho place that sells good vermicelli noodles. This place by far had the best vermicelli noodles I've had. I always get the V3 (Grilled pork and egg roll Vermicelli) and they are very attentive to any food changes, say if you want to take out a ingredient. The staff is friendly and gives off a relaxed vibe in the restaurant. This place has been my go-to fix for vietnamese food and plan on coming back here whenever I'm in town.
google avatar

Draco L.

Yelp
I came here with a large party on a Saturday night and ordered a large Pho Combo. Despite there being so many of us, service was quick and smooth. When they say large, they mean large here. The prices were also very good in regards to the portion sizes. The bowl was huge and there was tons of noodles and meat. I was very satisfied. Next time I am craving Pho I will definitely come here again!
google avatar

Erika W.

Yelp
Ordered two orders of pho with brisket and eye round steak and fried pork roll. The orders came out pretty quickly and was so delicious. We had this meal on a rainy day and it's exactly what was needed to up our spirits but also not too heavy for our lazy day. For dessert we ordered mocha and sour sop bubble tea. They were made fresh to order and were perfectly sweetened.
google avatar

Allison K.

Yelp
Went here with a group of friends and got the grilled pork & egg roll vermicelli. Portion size was very generous - I had enough leftovers for a sizeable lunch the next day. Salad was very fresh, vermicelli was cooked well, and the pork was savory. The egg roll was crispy and satisfying. My friends ordered the beef pho and thought the large portion was definitely worth the small price increase. (You can take a look at the size of each bowl since they have a few hanging on the wall for reference purposes). Everyone left the restaurant happy and full.

Yelp
The food was excellent! The pho shrimp was amazing as well as the beef with onions and fried rice.

Yelp
We dropped in our on way back to Atlanta airport. It's located in the Downtown area, with street parking nearby. The restaurant is nicely decorated and had plenty of seating available. Service was fast, although lacking a bit in friendliness. Despite that, we found the Pho pretty good- nice flavorful broth and lots of meat. It came with the usual condiments and herbs. We received our order very quickly and appreciated that, since we had a flight to catch. There was a good variety of options on the menu and next time around, we will be sure to try something different too.

Pavitra J.

Yelp
Honestly I used to love the bah mi they have here. But I went in to have it today and it was slimy on the inside and it was not as good as it used to be. It was so bad I couldn't eat it after a couple bites.

Tonie T.

Yelp
Always amazing!!! So much pho for the cost. Love the spring rolls. Really nice service. Friendly people and the food makes me feel good!

Jeremy R.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever. I got to the restaurant before 8:30pm when they close at 9pm. The employee tells me that they only can do take out at this time until they close. The restaurant has two tables still waiting for people to get their food. I ordered a large pho to go since I have no choice and even told the guy that I just flew in and had to grab dinner. But he still refused to serve me. Another guy comes in 5 minutes after me and also wanted to dine in but was refused. I asked when do you start only taking To Go orders and he said at 8:20. I get my food still before the people seated at the tables. Now how the hell am I suppose to eat this in my hotel room (see photo). No consideration, lazy employees who want to try to close on time. What kind of business are you running? To top it off my large portion To Go is no way the same size if I was to eat at the restaurant and you still charge me that price.

Yelp
Love.. Love..Love this spot!!! Food is always good and the service is always fast. Took my god son here for dinner one night( trying to broaden his food pallet) we ordered Shrimp Pho( my fave) and some Boba tea for drinks. I'll definitely be back! FYI.....This location has a parking area which is located inside the Publix parking deck and it free to park.

Yelp
Came in for some Pho before heading home. There are alot of Pho options, but also meat/veggie dishes to choose from too. I really liked how they offer different sizes of Pho bowls, instead of a standard size. They offer small, medium, and large bowls. My BF and I split a small Pho and the chicken /rice plate. The Pho came with all the normal toppings and there was sriracha /soy sauce at each table. Great and filling! The chicken had a great taste to it, whatever the sauce seasoning was. These 2 things were plenty for 2 people. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There seemed to be some confusion with the orders, as they brought out a few things that we didn't order... once before our food arrived and then again once our food was already at our table. No issues for us, but hopefully everyone in the restaurant got the right food and that didn't create too much extra work for the staff.

Yelp
The name of this pho establishment is awesome. Kudos on the double entendre! I approve!! Anyways, my friends and I were craving pho since it was bit chilly out and chose this place based on the name and location. We shared the appetizer combo that came with 4 spring rolls and 3 egg rolls. I kinda wished that it came with an extra egg rolls so we could all have one though. The egg rolls were good and not greasy, but the spring rolls could have had a bit more rice noodles. It also had some 'gritty' pork skin that is sometimes used in Vietnamese cuisine. So, it can be off putting if you are not used to it or expecting it. Presentation of the appetizer platter was very nicely done though. As for the pho, I got the combo which had a little bit of all the cuts of meat that they use (including tendon, brisket, tripe, etc). It also had red onions on top which changes the flavor profile slightly compared to your regular pho. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it does add some color to the dish. My disappointment was with the broth being lukewarm and not as hot as I would like. So, temperature wise it became not as appetizing after a while. Overall, I might come back here to try something else, but would be hesitant getting the pho again.
google avatar

Julia B.

Yelp
Service was slow and spotty...had to go find the waiter several times but the food was good. The pho was flavorful, eggrolls were good. The bahn mi was not my favorite but it wasn't bad. Just lacked flavor.
google avatar

Mira D.

Yelp
pho king has become a go-to over the past years due to the convenient location and affordable prices. i've dined in and ordered takeout. food always comes out pretty quickly and the prices are very reasonable compared to other vietnamese restaurants in the area. i usually order the bbq pork banh mi when i order over the phone for takeout. it's decent--not the best banh mi i've ever had but it does the job. i've had the pho here before as well, pretty standard. the vermicelli is good and is quite a big portion. i've also tried the drinks--the matcha slush and strawberry slush. i wouldn't necessarily recommend the milk tea / boba / smoothies here since they do taste artificial and are extremely sweet. however, if you're looking for a quick and cheap vietnamese meal, i'd recommend pho king.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Got the pho combo and the broth was incredibly bland. It was one of the worse bowls I've had in my life... I will not be back for pho here Ambiance and service was average, so I bumped it up from 1 star to 2.
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
Ordered pho to go, the XL combo, and it was delicious and in expensive! Huge portions, excellent beef and tendon and intestine quality! Most other spots don't give as huge portions of the protein, but Pho King does plus its quality! See photos.
google avatar

Tony S.

Yelp
The combo Pho was great but the spring rolls were uninspiring. The pho had ample amounts of protein served in a piping hot broth atop perfectly cooked noodles. The pho had a great taste and appearance. The add on veggies were fresh and crisp, and were more than enough for two people. My complaints revolve around sticky condiment containers. They were screaming for a cleaning!! Unfortunately none of the staff was listening. The server also forgot about me once my entree was delivered! It seems that once I was served my entree I fell off the servers customer radar. After waiting quite a while after finishing my meal with no interaction with anyone, I stood up and made my way to the counter and asked if I could pay my tab. I paid using ApplePay which was good, but the server wasn't too familiar with it. She took my phone from me and attempted to complete the transaction herself! As advertised, ApplePay only worked for me! I can say the Pho was great but the entire experience was forgettable.

Yelp
First time here and it was okay. The papaya salad was delicious- used a fish sauce dressing that was yummy; chicken pho was good but the chicken wasn't tender- my mom actually picked it out her pho; the vegetarian noodles dish was unimpressive- no robust flavors and the tofu was super oily, so much so I didn't eat it. They have cute shirts for $10 that say " So Pho King good". My family enjoyed their phos minie the chicken and outside of my salad, my food was disappointing.

Yelp
My first time at this location last week. Typically, you'd find me at Pho Dai Loi #2 getting my pho-fix, but today, I decided to try something new (and closer to work lol). Came in around 12 PM on a rainy day. IT was still pretty busy as almost every seat in the restaurant was full. Luckily my aunt got there early and managed to snag a table for us in the corner. Parking: Free parking in a garage! Pho King is located in the same building structure as Publix, Kuroshio and a number of other retailers. NOTE: Pho King has a back entrance that leads directly to the garage. I noticed it on the way in but thought it was only a staff entrance or something so I ended up walking around the outside in the rain. Only realized that we CAN, in fact, use that entrance when my party left. Food: *Com Thit Nuong ($9.95) *Com Chien Bo Luc Lac/Shaking Beef Rice Plate ($11.25) with Fried Egg (+$1.50): https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=nAbdEbm12JFyqeJm1Mpd-A&userid=DXdO88SrAIqXhq0zUAkHOw&utm_campaign=www_photo_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) *Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio ($9.95): https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Nt9k79-wLxt5mCQc_w30_w&userid=DXdO88SrAIqXhq0zUAkHOw&utm_campaign=www_photo_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) *Goi Cuon/Spring Rolls (2 for $3.75): https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=kOhIQximvUCsCA9tdCN-gQ&userid=DXdO88SrAIqXhq0zUAkHOw&utm_campaign=www_photo_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Spring Rolls were good. I think they could be wrapped tighter though so it doesn't fall apart when I bite into it. The peanut sauce is tasty too. My Com Chien Bo Luc Lac entree was pretty good! I liked the fried rice. The meat was tender and lean. However, I would've liked it more if the marinated beef was less salty? If eaten with the rice and egg though, it works. The guy who took our order accidentally placed the fried egg on another person's order. After we addressed this once my entree came out with no egg, they apologized and brought out my fried egg. Thankfully I had it to eat with the well-marinated beef. Later after everyone received their order, they brought out two fried eggs, gave it to my friend and apologized for fudging up the order. I thought that was very nice for such a small mix-up. Drinks: *Avocado Smoothie ($3.50) *Honeydew Smoothie ($3.50): https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=SCZO9zRjaeUtSa5dfmcZ3w&userid=DXdO88SrAIqXhq0zUAkHOw&utm_campaign=www_photo_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) The avocado smoothie is one of their most popular drinks since it is made with real avocados. As for honeydew smoothie, it was not very good. Looked and tasted more like colored ice to me. Service: Needless to say, the service was great! Overall, I had a really good experience. I'd like to try their pho next time and Iced Vietnamese Coffee.

Yelp
I mean it's good pho what else can I say. As genuine pho you're gonna get in ATL. Service was good. Quiet place

Yelp
EXCELLENT!! I have a new favorite cuisine, Vietnamese . I am vegan so I ordered the Papaya Salad (no meat) and the Pho Fried Tofu (LARGE). Supppeer fulfilling!! I sat outside which was comfy. Very good. Will go again.

Yelp
One of the best meals I had in Atlanta, the portions are ginormous. The smoothies were a bit bland for my liking but the pho was good! Service was quick!
